Abstract: The B -> D^{(*)} K^- K^{(*)0} decays have been observed for the first time. The branching fractions of the B -> D^{(*)} K^- K^{(*)0} decay modes are measured. Significant signals are found for the B -> D^{(*)} K^- K^{*0} and B^- -> D^0 K^- K^0_S decay modes. The invariant mass and polarization distributions for the K^-K^{*0} and K^-K^0_S subsystems have been studied. For the K^-K^{*0} sybsystem these distributions agree well with those expected for two-body B -> D^{(*)} a_1^-(1260) decays, with a_1^-(1260) -> K^- K^{*0}. The analysis was done using 29.4 fb^{-1} of data collected with the Belle detector at the e^+ e^- asymmetric collider KEKB.

Abstract: The production of the \chi_{c2} charmonium state in two-photon collisions has been measured with the Belle detector at the KEKB e^+e^- collider. A clear signal for \chi_{c2} --> \gamma J/\psi, J/\psi --> l^+l^- is observed in a 32.6fb^{-1} data sample accumulated at center-of-mass energies near 10.6GeV, and the product of its two-photon decay width and branching fraction is determined to be \Gamma_{\gamma\gamma}(\chi_{c2})B(\chi_{c2} --> \gamma J/\psi) B(J/\psi --> l^+l^-)= 13.5 +/- 1.3(stat.) +/- 1.1(syst.)eV., Comment: 16 pages, 5 figures, to be submitted to Phys. Abstract: We present a measurement of the Cabibbo–Kobayashi–Maskawa (CKM) matrix element |Vcb| using a 10.2 fb−1 data sample recorded at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric e+e− storage ring. By extrapolating the differential decay width of the B 0 →D ∗+ e − ν decay to the kinematic limit at which the D ∗+ is at rest with respect to the B 0 , we extract the product of |Vcb| with the normalization of the decay form factor F(1), |Vcb|F(1)=(3.54±0.19±0.18)×10−2, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. A value of |Vcb|=(3.88±0.21±0.20±0.19)×10−2 is obtained using a theoretical calculation of F(1), where the third error is due to the theoretical uncertainty in the value of F(1). The branching fraction B ( B 0 →D ∗+ e − ν ) is measured to be (4.59±0.23±0.40)×10−2.

Abstract: The e(+)e(-) → π(+)π(-)π(0)χ(bJ) (J = 0,1,2) processes are studied using a 118 fb(-1) data sample acquired with the Belle detector at a center-of-mass energy of 10.867 GeV. Unambiguous π(+)π(-)π(0)χ(bJ) (J = 1,2), ωχ(b1) signals are observed, and indication for ωχ(b2) is seen, both for the first time, and the corresponding cross section measurements are presented. No significant π(+)π(-)π(0)χ(b0) or ωχ(b0) signals are observed, and 90% confidence level upper limits on the cross sections for these two processes are obtained. In the π(+)π(-)π(0) invariant mass spectrum, significant non-ω signals are also observed. We search for the X(3872)-like state (named X(b)) decaying into ωϒ(1S); no significant signal is observed with a mass between 10.55 and 10.65 GeV/c(2).

Abstract: We present a study of the branching fraction of the decay B-0 -> rho(0)rho(0) and the fraction of longitudinally polarized rho(0) mesons in this decay. The results are obtained from the final data sample containing 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected at the gamma(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. We find 166 +/- 59 B-0 -> rho(0)rho(0) events (including systematic uncertainties), corresponding to a branching fraction of B(B-0 -> rho(0)rho(0)) = (1.02 +/- 0.30(stat) +/- 0.15(syst)) x 10(-6) with a significance of 3.4 standard deviations and a longitudinal polarization fraction f(L) = 0.21(-0.22)(+0.18()stat) +/- 0.15(syst). We use the longitudinal polarization fraction to determine the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix angle phi(2) = (84.9 +/- 13.5)degrees through an isospin analysis in the B ->rho rho system. We furthermore find 125 +/- 41 B-0 -> f(0)rho(0) events, corresponding to B(B-0 -> f(0)rho(0)) x B(f(0) -> pi(+)pi(-)) = (0.78 +/- 0.22(stat) +/- 0.11(syst)) x 10(-6), with a significance of 3.1 standard deviations. We find no other significant contribution with the same final state, and set upper limits at 90% confidence level on the (product) branching fractions, B(B-0 -> pi(+)pi(-)pi(+)pi(-)) rho(0)pi(+)pi(-)) f(0)pi(+)pi(-)) x B(f(0) -> pi(+)pi(-)) f(0)f(0)) x B(f(0) -> pi(+)pi(-))(2) < 0.2 x 10(-6).

Abstract: We observe D(0)-D(0) mixing in the decay D(0) → K+π- using a data sample of integrated luminosity 976 fb(-1) collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- asymmetric-energy collider. We measure the mixing parameters x'(2) = (0.09 ± 0.22) × 10(-3) and y'=(4.6 ± 3.4) × 10(-3) and the ratio of doubly Cabibbo-suppressed to Cabibbo-favored decay rates R(D) = (3.53 ± 0.13) × 10(-3), where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic combined. Our measurement excludes the no-mixing hypothesis at the 5.1 standard deviation level.

Abstract: The lifetime of the $\tau$-lepton is measured using the process $e^+e^-\rightarrow\tau^+\tau^-$, where both $\tau$-leptons decay to $3\pi\nu_\tau$. The result for the mean lifetime, based on $711\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of data collected with the Belle detector at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance and $60\,\mathrm{MeV}$ below, is $\tau = (290.17 \pm 0.53(\mathrm{stat.}) \pm 0.33(\mathrm{syst.}))\cdot10^{-15}\,\mathrm{s}$. The first measurement of the lifetime difference between $\tau^+$ and $\tau^-$ is performed. The upper limit on the relative lifetime difference between positive and negative $\tau$-leptons is $|\Delta\tau| / \tau < 7.0 \times 10^{-3}$ at 90% CL., Comment: 17 pages, 4 figures. Abstract: We report measurements for two-body charmless B decays with an eta' meson in the final state. Using 11.1X10^6 BBbar pairs collected with the Belle detector, we find BF(B^+ ->eta'K^+)=(79^+12_-11 +-9)x10^-6 and BF(B^0 -> eta'K^0)=(55^+19_-16 +-8)x10^-6, where the first and second errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. No signal is observed in the mode B^+ -> eta' pi^+, and we set a 90% confidence level upper limit of BF(B^+-> eta'pi^+) eta'K^+- decays is investigated and a limit at 90% confidence level of -0.20

Abstract: We report a determination of the ${B}_{d}^{0}\ensuremath{-}{\overline{B}}_{d}^{0}$ mixing parameter $\ensuremath{\Delta}{m}_{d}$ based on the time evolution of dilepton yields in $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ decays. The measurement is based on a $5.9{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ data sample collected by the Belle detector at KEKB. The proper-time difference distributions for same-sign and opposite-sign dilepton events are simultaneously fitted to an expression containing $\ensuremath{\Delta}{m}_{d}$ as a free parameter. Using both muons and electrons, we obtain $\ensuremath{\Delta}{m}_{d}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}0.463\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.008(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.016(\mathrm{syst}){\mathrm{ps}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$. This is the first determination of $\ensuremath{\Delta}{m}_{d}$ from time evolution measurements at the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$. We also place limits on possible $\mathrm{CPT}$ violations.

Abstract: We present a measurement of the standard model $\mathrm{CP}$ violation parameter $\mathrm{sin}2{\ensuremath{\varphi}}_{1}$ (also known as $\mathrm{sin}2\ensuremath{\beta}$) based on a $10.5{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ data sample collected at the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. One neutral $B$ meson is reconstructed in the $J/\ensuremath{\psi}{K}_{S}$, $\ensuremath{\psi}(2S){K}_{S}$, ${\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c1}{K}_{S}$, ${\ensuremath{\eta}}_{c}{K}_{S}$, $J/\ensuremath{\psi}{K}_{L}$, or $J/\ensuremath{\psi}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ $\mathrm{CP}$-eigenstate decay channel and the flavor of the accompanying $B$ meson is identified from its charged particle decay products. From the asymmetry in the distribution of the time interval between the two $B$-meson decay points, we determine $\mathrm{sin}2{\ensuremath{\varphi}}_{1}{\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}0.58}_{\ensuremath{-}0.34}^{+0.32}(\mathrm{stat}{)}_{\ensuremath{-}0.10}^{+0.09}(\mathrm{syst})$.

Abstract: We present the first model-independent measurement of the absolute branching fraction of the Λ(c)(+) → pK(-)π(+) decay using a data sample of 978 fb(-1) collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. The number of Λ(c)(+) baryons is determined by reconstructing the recoiling D((*)-) pπ(+) system in events of the type e(+)e(-) → D((*)-) pπ(+)Λ(c)(+). The branching fraction is measured to be B(Λ(c)(+) → pK(-)π(+)) = (6.84 ± 0.24(-0.27)(+0.21))%, where the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.

Abstract: We present a measurement of the charge-parity (CP) violating parameters in B0→π+π- decays. The results are obtained from the final data sample containing 772×106 BB pairs collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We obtain the CP violation parameters ACP(B0→π+π-)=+0.33±0.06(stat)±0.03(syst),SCP(B0→π+π-)=-0.64±0.08(stat)±0.03(syst),where ACP and SCP represent the direct and mixing-induced CP asymmetries in B0→π+π- decays, respectively. Using an isospin analysis including results from other Belle measurements, we find 23.8

Abstract: We report the results of several studies of the Λc+π+π-X final state in continuum e+e- annihilation data collected by the Belle detector. An analysis of angular distributions in Λc(2880)+→Σc(2455)0, ++π+,- decays strongly favors a Λc(2880)+ spin assignment of 52 over 32 or 12. We find evidence for Λc(2880)+→Σc(2520)0,++π+,- decay and measure the ratio of Λc(2880)+ partial widths Γ(Σc(2520)π)/Γ(Σc(2455)π)=0.225±0. 062±0.025. This value favors the Λc(2880)+ spin-parity assignment of 52+ over 52-. We also report the first observation of Λc(2940) +→Σc(2455)0,++π+,- decay and measure Λc(2880)+ and Λc(2940)+ mass and width parameters. These studies are based on a 553fb-1 data sample collected at or near the Υ(4S) resonance at the KEKB collider. © 2007 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We report the measurements of branching fractions and $CP$ violation asymmetries in ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{K}^{*}$ decays obtained in an angular analysis using the full data sample of $772\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}B\overline{B}$ pairs collected at the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. We perform a partial wave analysis to distinguish among scalar [${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}(K\ensuremath{\pi}{)}_{0}^{*}$], vector [${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{K}^{*}(892{)}^{0}$] and tensor [${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{K}_{2}^{*}(1430{)}^{0}$] components, and determine the corresponding branching fractions to be $\mathcal{B}[{B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}(K\ensuremath{\pi}{)}_{0}^{*}]=(4.3\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.4\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.4)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$, $\mathcal{B}[{B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{K}^{*}(892{)}^{0}]=(10.4\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.5\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.6)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$ and $\mathcal{B}[{B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{K}_{2}^{*}(1430{)}^{0}]=({5.5}_{\ensuremath{-}0.7}^{+0.9}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.0)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$. We also measure the longitudinal polarization fraction ${f}_{L}$ in ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{K}^{*}(892{)}^{0}$ and ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{K}_{2}^{*}(1430{)}^{0}$ decays to be $0.499\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.030\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.018$ and ${0.918}_{\ensuremath{-}0.060}^{+0.029}\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.012$, respectively. The first quoted uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. In total, we measure 26 parameters related to branching fractions, polarization and $CP$ violation in the ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{K}^{*}$ system. No evidence for $CP$ violation is found.

Abstract: We report the first observation of the Cabibbo-suppressed decays $\Xi_c^0\rightarrow \Xi^- K^+$, $\Xi_c^0\ra\Lambda K^+ K^-$ and $\Xi_c^0\rightarrow \Lambda \phi$, using a data sample of $711\, \mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. We measure the ratios of branching fractions to be $\frac{{\cal B}(\Xi_c^0\ra \Xi^- K^+)}{{\cal B}(\Xi^0_c\ra\Xi^-\pi^+)}=(2.75\pm 0.51\pm 0.25)\times 10^{-2}$, $\frac{{\cal B}(\Xi_c^0\ra\Lambda K^+ K^-)}{{\cal B}(\Xi_c^0\rightarrow\Xi^- \pi^+)}=(2.86\pm 0.61\pm 0.24)\times 10^{-2}$ and $\frac{{\cal B}(\Xi_c^0\ra \Lambda\phi)}{{\cal B}(\Xi^0_c\ra\Xi^-\pi^+)}=(3.43\pm 0.58\pm 0.32)\times 10^{-2}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic., Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures, submitted to PRD(RC)

Abstract: We report the results of a study of the exclusive semileptonic decays ${B}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}}$, ${\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}}$, ${B}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}}$, ${\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}}$ and ${B}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\omega}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}}$, where $\ensuremath{\ell}$ represents an electron or a muon. The events are tagged by fully reconstructing a second $B$ meson in the event in a hadronic decay mode. The measured branching fractions are $\mathcal{B}({B}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}})=(0.80\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.08\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.04)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$, $\mathcal{B}({\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}})=(1.49\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.09\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.07)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$, $\mathcal{B}({B}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}})=(1.83\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.10\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.10)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$, $\mathcal{B}({\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}})=(3.22\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.27\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.24)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$, and $\mathcal{B}({B}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\omega}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}})=(1.07\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.16\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.07)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$, where the first error is statistical and the second one is systematic. The obtained branching fractions are inclusive of soft photon emission. We also determine the branching fractions as a function of the 4-momentum transfer squared to the leptonic system ${q}^{2}=({p}_{\ensuremath{\ell}}+{p}_{\ensuremath{\nu}}{)}^{2}$, where ${p}_{\ensuremath{\ell}}$ and ${p}_{\ensuremath{\nu}}$ are the lepton and neutrino 4-momenta, respectively. Using the pion modes, a recent light cone sum rule calculation, lattice QCD results and a model-independent description of the hadronic form factor, a value of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|{V}_{ub}|=(3.52\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.29)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}3}$ is extracted. A structure in the two-pion invariant mass distribution near $1.3\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/{c}^{2}$, which might be dominated by the decay ${B}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{f}_{2}(1270){\ensuremath{\ell}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}}$, ${f}_{2}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, is seen. These results are obtained from a $711\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ data sample that contains $772\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs, collected near the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider.

Abstract: Using samples of 102 million Υ(1S) and 158 million Υ(2S) events collected with the Belle detector, we study exclusive hadronic decays of these two bottomonium resonances to KS0K+π- and charge-conjugate (c.c.) states, π+π-π0π0, and π+π-π0, and to the two-body Vector-Pseudoscalar (K*(892)0K0+c.c., K*(892)-K ++c.c., ωπ0, and ρπ) final states. For the first time, signals are observed in the modes Υ(1S)→KS0K+π -+c.c., π+π-π0π0, and Υ(2S)→π+π-π0π0, and evidence is found for the modes Υ(1S)→π+π-π0, K*(892)0K0+c.c., and Υ(2S)→KS0K +π-+c.c. Branching fractions are measured for all the processes, while 90% confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions are also set for the modes with a statistical significance of less than 3σ. The ratios of the branching fractions of Υ(2S) and Υ(1S) decays into the same final state are used to test a perturbative QCD prediction for Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka-suppressed bottomonium decays. © 2013 American Physical Society.

Abstract: We report measurements of $B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c1}\ensuremath{\gamma}K$ and ${\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c2}\ensuremath{\gamma}K$ decays using $772\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ events collected at the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. Evidence of a new resonance in the ${\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c1}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ final state is found with a statistical significance of $3.8\ensuremath{\sigma}$. This state has a mass of $3823.1\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.8(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.7(\mathrm{syst})\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{MeV}/{c}^{2}$, a value that is consistent with theoretical expectations for the previously unseen $1^{3}D_{2}$ $c\overline{c}$ meson. We find no other narrow resonance and set upper limits on the branching fractions of the $X(3872)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c1}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ and ${\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c2}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ decays.

Abstract: We search for bottomonium states in Υ(2S) → (bb)γ decays with an integrated luminosity of 24.7 fb(-1) recorded at the Υ(2S) resonance with the Belle detector at KEK, containing (157.8±3.6)×10(6) Υ(2S) events. The (bb) system is reconstructed in 26 exclusive hadronic final states composed of charged pions, kaons, protons, and K(S)(0) mesons. We find no evidence for the state recently observed around 9975 MeV (X(bb)) in an analysis based on a data sample of 9.3×10(6) Υ(2S) events collected with the CLEO III detector. We set a 90% confidence level upper limit on the branching fraction B[Υ(2S) → X(bb)γ] × ∑(i)B[X(bb) → h(i)]4.9×10(-6), summed over the exclusive hadronic final states employed in our analysis. This result is an order of magnitude smaller than the measurement reported with CLEO data. We also set an upper limit for the ηb(1S) state of B[Υ(2S) → ηb(1S)γ] × ∑(i)B[ηb(1S) → h(i)]3.7×10(-6).

Abstract: The cross section for ee+ e- → π+ π- J/ψ between 3.8 and 5.5 GeV is measured with a 967 fb(-1) data sample collected by the Belle detector at or near the Υ(nS) (n = 1,2,…,5) resonances. The Y(4260) state is observed, and its resonance parameters are determined. In addition, an excess of π+ π- J/ψ production around 4 GeV is observed. This feature can be described by a Breit-Wigner parametrization with properties that are consistent with the Y(4008) state that was previously reported by Belle. In a study of Y(4260) → π+ π- J/ψ decays, a structure is observed in the M(π(±)J/ψ) mass spectrum with 5.2σ significance, with mass M = (3894.5 ± 6.6 ± 4.5) MeV/c2 and width Γ = (63 ± 24 ± 26) MeV/c2, where the errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. This structure can be interpreted as a new charged charmoniumlike state.

Abstract: We report a search for charmless hadronic decays of neutral B mesons to the final state K+K-pi(0). The results are based on a 711 fb(-1) data sample that contains 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs, and was collected at the (sic)(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. We find the first evidence for this decay with a significance of 3.5 standard deviations and measure its branching fraction as B(B-0 -> K+K-pi(0)) = [2.17 +/- 0.60(stat) +/- 0.24(syst) x 10(-6).

Abstract: The cross section for ee+ e- → π+ π- J/ψ between 3.8 and 5.5 GeV is measured with a 967 fb(-1) data sample collected by the Belle detector at or near the Υ(nS) (n = 1,2,…,5) resonances. The Y(4260) state is observed, and its resonance parameters are determined. In addition, an excess of π+ π- J/ψ production around 4 GeV is observed. This feature can be described by a Breit-Wigner parametrization with properties that are consistent with the Y(4008) state that was previously reported by Belle. In a study of Y(4260) → π+ π- J/ψ decays, a structure is observed in the M(π(±)J/ψ) mass spectrum with 5.2σ significance, with mass M = (3894.5 ± 6.6 ± 4.5) MeV/c2 and width Γ = (63 ± 24 ± 26) MeV/c2, where the errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. This structure can be interpreted as a new charged charmoniumlike state.

Abstract: We measure the branching fraction of B- → τ- ν(τ) using the full Υ(4S) data sample containing 772×10(6) BB pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+ e- collider. Events with BB pairs are tagged by reconstructing one of the B mesons decaying into hadronic final states, and B- → τ- ν(τ) candidates are detected in the recoil. We find evidence for B- → τ- ν(τ) with a significance of 3.0 standard deviations including systematic errors and measure a branching fraction B(B- → τ- ν(τ))=[0.72(-0.25)(+0.27)(stat)±0.11(syst)]×10(-4).

Abstract: We report measurements of the branching fractions and direct $CP$ asymmetries (${\mathcal{A}}_{CP}$) for $B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}K\ensuremath{\pi}$, $\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\pi}$ and $KK$ decays (but not ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$) based on the final data sample of $772\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs collected at the $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. We set a 90% confidence-level upper limit for ${K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ at $2.0\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}7}$; all other decays are observed with branching fractions ranging from ${10}^{\ensuremath{-}6}$ to ${10}^{\ensuremath{-}5}$. In the ${B}^{0}/{\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{\mp}}$ mode, we confirm Belle's previously reported large ${\mathcal{A}}_{CP}$ with a value of $\ensuremath{-}0.069\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.014\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.007$ and a significance of $4.4\ensuremath{\sigma}$. For all other flavor-specific modes, we find ${\mathcal{A}}_{CP}$ values consistent with zero, including ${\mathcal{A}}_{CP}({K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0})=+0.043\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.024\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.007$ with $1.8\ensuremath{\sigma}$ significance. The difference of $CP$ asymmetry between ${B}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$ and ${B}^{0}/{\overline{B}}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{\mp}}$ is found to be $\ensuremath{\Delta}{\mathcal{A}}_{K\ensuremath{\pi}}\ensuremath{\equiv}{\mathcal{A}}_{CP}({K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0})\ensuremath{-}{\mathcal{A}}_{CP}({K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})=+0.112\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.027\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.007$ with $4.0\ensuremath{\sigma}$ significance. We also calculate the ratios of partial widths for the $B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}K\ensuremath{\pi}$ decays. Using our results, we test the validity of the sum rule ${\mathcal{A}}_{CP}({K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})+{\mathcal{A}}_{CP}({K}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+})\frac{\ensuremath{\Gamma}({K}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+})}{\ensuremath{\Gamma}({K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})}\ensuremath{-}{\mathcal{A}}_{CP}({K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0})\frac{2\ensuremath{\Gamma}({K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0})}{\ensuremath{\Gamma}({K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})}\ensuremath{-}{\mathcal{A}}_{CP}({K}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0})\frac{2\ensuremath{\Gamma}({K}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0})}{\ensuremath{\Gamma}({K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})}=0$ and obtain a sum of $\ensuremath{-}0.270\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.132\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.060$ with $1.9\ensuremath{\sigma}$ significance.

Abstract: We report the results of a high-statistics search for H dibaryon production in inclusive Υ(1S) and Υ(2S) decays. No indication of an H dibaryon with a mass near the M(H)=2m(Λ) threshold is seen in either the H→Λpπ(-) or ΛΛ decay channels and 90% confidence level branching-fraction upper limits are set that are between one and two orders of magnitude below the measured branching fractions for inclusive Υ(1S) and Υ(2S) decays to antideuterons. Since Υ(1S,2S) decays produce flavor-SU(3)-symmetric final states, these results put stringent constraints on H dibaryon properties. The results are based on analyses of 102 million Υ(1S) and 158 million Υ(2S) events collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider.

We measure the ratios of branching fractions $(\mathcal{B})\frac{\mathcal{B}(\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(2\mathrm{S})\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1\mathrm{S})\ensuremath{\eta})}{\mathcal{B}(\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(2\mathrm{S})\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1\mathrm{S}){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})}=(1.99\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.14(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.11(\mathrm{syst}))\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}3}$ and $\frac{\mathcal{B}(\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(2\mathrm{S})\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1\mathrm{S}){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0})}{\mathcal{B}(\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(2\mathrm{S})\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1\mathrm{S}){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})}l2.3\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$ at the 90% confidence level (CL). Assuming the value $\mathcal{B}(\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(2\mathrm{S})\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1\mathrm{S}){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+})=(17.92\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.26)%$, we obtain $\mathcal{B}(\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(2\mathrm{S})\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1\mathrm{S})\ensuremath{\eta})=(3.57\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.25(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.21(\mathrm{syst}))\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$ and $\mathcal{B}(\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(2\mathrm{S})\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(1\mathrm{S}){\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0})l4.1\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}5}(90%\mathrm{CL})$.

Abstract: Measurements of inclusive differential cross sections for charged pion and kaon production in e+ e- annihilation have been carried out at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=10.52 GeV. The measurements were performed with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+ e- collider using a data sample containing 113×10(6) e+ e- → qq events, where q={u,d,s,c}. We present charge-integrated differential cross sections dσ(h±)/dz for h±={π±,K±} as a function of the relative hadron energy z=2E(h)/sqrt[s] from 0.2 to 0.98. The combined statistical and systematic uncertainties for π± (K±) are 4% (4%) at z∼0.6 and 15% (24%) at z∼0.9. The cross sections are the first measurements of the z dependence of pion and kaon production for z0.7 as well as the first precision cross section measurements at a center-of-mass energy far below the Z0 resonance used by the experiments at LEP and SLC.

Abstract: We report measurements of the decays B- -> Ds(*)+ K- l- nubar in a data sample containing 657x10^6 BBbar pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We observe a signal with a significance of 6 sigma for the combined Ds and Ds* modes and find the first evidence of the B- -> Ds+ K- l- nubar decay with a significance of 3.4 sigma. We measure the following branching fractions: BF(B- -> Ds+ K- l nubar) = (0.30 +/- 0.09(stat) +0.11 -0.08(syst)) x 10^-3 and BF(B- -> Ds*+ K- l- nubar) = (0.59 +/- 0.12(stat) +/- 0.15(syst)) x 10^-3 and set an upper limit BF(B- -> Ds*+ K- l- nubar) < 0.56 x 10^-3 at the 90% confidence level. We also present the first measurement of the Ds+K- invariant mass distribution in these decays, which is dominated by a prominent peak around 2.6 GeV/c^2.

Abstract: We report the measurement of the branching fraction, the polarization, and the parameters of the time-dependent CP violation in B-0 -> D*(+) D*(-) decays using a data sample of 772 x 10(6)B (B) over bar pairs, collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. We obtain a branching fraction of B = (7.82 +/- 0.38 +/- 0.63) x 10(-4), a CP-odd fraction of R-perpendicular to = 0.138 +/- 0.024 +/- 0.006 and, additionally, a fraction of the longitudinal component in the transversity base of R-0 = 0.624 +/- 0.029 +/- 0.011. The measured values of the parameters of the CP violation are SD*+ D*- = 0.79 +/- 0.13 +/- 0.03 and A(D*+ D*-) 0.15 +/- 0.08 +/- 0.04.

Abstract: Using samples of 102 x 10(6) Gamma(1S) and 158 x 10(6) Gamma(2S) events collected with the Belle detector, we study exclusive hadronic decays of these two bottomonium resonances to the three-body final states phi K+K-, omega pi(+)pi(-) and K*(0)(892)K-pi(+), and to the two-body Vector-Tensor states (phi f'(2)(1525), omega f(2)(1270), rho a(2)(1320) and K*(0)(892)(K) over bar*(0)(2)(1430)) and Axial-vector-Pseudoscalar (K-1(1270)K-+(-), K-1(1400)K-+(-) and b(1)(1235)(+)pi(-)) states. Signals are observed for the first time in the Y(1S) -> phi K+K-, omega pi(+)pi(-), K*K-0(-)pi(+), K*K-0*(0)(2) Gamma(2S) -> phi K+K-, K*K-0(-)pi(+) decay modes. Branching fractions are determined for all the processes, while 90% confidence level upper limits are established on the branching fractions for the modes with a statistical significance less than 3 sigma. The ratios of the branching fractions of Gamma(2S) and Gamma(1S) decays into the same final state are used to test a perturbative QCD prediction for OZI-suppressed bottomonium decays.

Abstract: We report on a search for the charmless decays $B^{+} \to\phi\pi^{+}$ and $B^{0} \to\phi \pi^{0}$ that are strongly suppressed in the Standard Model. The analysis is based on a data sample of $657 \times 10^6$ $B \bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. We find no significant signal and set upper limits of $3.3 \times 10^{-7}$ for $B^{+} \to \phi \pi^{+}$ and $1.5 \times 10^{-7}$ for $B^0 \to \phi \pi^0$ at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: We report a study of the decay B-0 -> DK+ pi(-) followed by D -> K- pi(+) , where D indicates D-0 or (D) over bar (0). We reconstruct the DK+ pi(-) state in a phase space corresponding to DK*(892)(0). The CP-violating angle phi(3) affects its decay rate via the interference between b -> u and b -> c transitions. The result is obtained from a 711 fb(-1) data sample that contains 772 X 10(6)B (B) over bar pairs collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+) e(-) collider. We measure the ratio R-DK*0 Gamma(B-0 -> [K- pi(+) ](D)K+ pi(-))/Gamma(B-0 -> [K+ pi(-)](D)K+ pi(-)) to be (4.5(-5.0-1.8)(+5.6+2.8)) X 10(-2), and set an upper limit of R-DK*0 < 0.16 at the 95% credible interval.

Abstract: We report the first evidence for the η(b)(2S) using the h(b)(2P)→η(b)(2S)γ transition and the first observation of the h(b)(1P)→η(b)(1S)γ and h(b)(2P)→η(b)(1S)γ transitions. The mass and width of the η(b)(1S) and η(b)(2S) are measured to be m(η(b)(1S))=(9402.4±1.5±1.8) MeV/c(2), m(η(b)(2S))=(9999.0±3.5(-1.9)(+2.8)) MeV/c(2), and Γ(η(b)(1S))=(10.8(-3.7-2.0)(+4.0+4.5)) MeV. We also update the h(b)(1P) and h(b)(2P) mass measurements. We use a 133.4 fb(-1) data sample collected at energies near the Υ(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider.

Abstract: We measure the branching fractions of B-0 -> J/psi eta((')) decays with the complete Belle data sample of 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar events collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. The results for the branching fractions are: B(B-0 -> J/psi eta) = (12.3 +/-(1.8)(1.7)+/- 0.7) x 10(-6) and B(B-0 -> J/psi eta') < 7.4 x 10(-6) at 90% confidence level. The eta-eta' mixing angle is constrained to be less than 42.2 degrees at 90% confidence level.

Abstract: We report a new sensitive search for C P T violation, which includes improved measurements of the C P T-violating parameter z and the total decay-width difference normalized to the averaged width delta(d) delta(d) of the two B-d mass eigenstates . The results are based on a data sample of 535 x 10(6) B B pairs collected at the Epsilon(4 S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+) e(-) collider. We obtain Re (z) = [+1.9 +/- 3.7 (stat) +/- 3.3 (syst)] x 10(>-2), qm (z) = [-5.7 +/- 3.3 (stat) +/- 3.3 (syst)] x 10(-3), and delta(d) / delta(d) = [-1.7 +/- 1.8 (stat) +/- 1.1 (syst)] x 10(-2), all of which are consistent with zero. This is the most precise single measurement of these parameters in the neutral B-meson system to date.

Abstract: Using a sample of 158�106 ?(2S) events collected with the Belle detector, we search for the first time for double-charmonium decays of the P-wave spin-triplet bottomonium states (?(2S) ??? bJ, ? bJ?J/?J/?, J/?? ?, ? ?? ? for J=0, 1, and 2). No significant ? bJ signal is observed in the double-charmonium mass spectra, and we obtain the following upper limits: B(? bJ?J/?J/?)&lt, 7.1�10 -5, 2.7�10 -5, 4.5�10 -5, B(? bJ? J/?? ?)&lt, 1.2�10 -4, 1.7�10 -5, 4.9�10 -5, B(? bJ?? ?? ?)&lt, 3. 1�10 -5, 6.2�10 -5, 1.6�10 -5 for J=0, 1, and 2, respectively, at the 90% confidence level. These limits are significantly lower than the central values (with uncertainties of 50% to 70%) predicted using the light cone formalism but are consistent with calculations using the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization approach. � 2012 American Physical Society.

Abstract: We observe evidence for CP violation in the decay D+ → K(S)(0)π+ using a data sample with an integrated luminosity of 977 fb(-1) collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e+ e- asymmetric-energy collider. The CP asymmetry in the decay is measured to be (-0.363±0.094±0.067)%, which is 3.2 standard deviations away from zero, and is consistent with the expected CP violation due to the neutral kaon in the final state.

Abstract: We report first observations of B(s)(0) → J/ψη and B(s)(0) → J/ψη'. The results are obtained from 121.4 fb(-1) of data collected at the Υ(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+ e- collider. We obtain the branching fractions B(B(s)(0) → J/ψη)=[5.10±0.50(stat)±0.25(syst)(-0.79)(+1.14)(N(B(s)(*) B(s)(*))]×10(-4), and B(B(s)(0) → J/ψη')=[3.71±0.61(stat)±0.18(syst)(-0.57)(+0.83)(N(B(s)(*) B(s)(*))]×10(-4). The ratio of the two branching fractions is measured to be (B(B(s) → J/ψη'))/(B(B(s) → J/ψη))=0.73±0.14(stat)±0.02(syst).

Abstract: We present a precise measurement of the CP violation parameter sin2φ1 and the direct CP violation parameter A(f) using the final data sample of 772×10(6) BB[over ¯] pairs collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. One neutral B meson is reconstructed in a J/ψK(S)(0), ψ(2S)K(S)(0), χ(c1)K(S)(0), or J/ψK(L)(0) CP eigenstate and its flavor is identified from the decay products of the accompanying B meson. From the distribution of proper-time intervals between the two B decays, we obtain the following CP violation parameters: sin2φ1=0.667±0.023(stat)±0.012(syst) and A(f)=0.006±0.016(stat)±0.012(syst).

Abstract: We report the first observation of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D(+)→K(+)η((')) using a 791 fb(-1) data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. The ratio of the branching fractions of doubly Cabibbo-suppressed relative to singly Cabibbo-suppressed D(+)→π(+)η((')) decays are B(D(+)→K(+)η)/B(D(+)→π(+)η)=(3.06±0.43±0.14)% and B(D(+)→K(+)η')/B(D(+)→π(+)η')=(3.77±0.39±0.10)%. From these, we find that the relative final-state phase difference between the tree and annihilation amplitudes in D(+) decays, δ(TA), is (72±9)° or (288±9)°. We also report the most precise measurements of CP asymmetries to date: A(CP)(D(+)→π(+)η)=(+1.74±1.13±0.19)% and A(CP)(D(+)→π(+)η')=(-0.12±1.12±0.17)%.

Abstract: We report measurements of the branching fractions and CP asymmetries for B(±)→ηh(±) (h=K or π) and the observation of the decay B(0)→ηK(0) from the final data sample of 772×10(6) B ̅B pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. The measured branching fractions are B(B(±)→ηK(±))=(2.12±0.23±0.11)×10(-6), B(B(±)→ηπ(±))=(4.07±0.26±0.21)×10(-6), and B(B(0)→ηK(0))=(1.27(-0.29)(+0.33)±0.08)×10(-6), where the last decay is observed for the first time with a significance of 5.4 standard deviations (σ). We also find evidence for CP violation in the charged B modes, A(CP)(B(±)→ηK(±))=-0.38±0.11±0.01 and A(CP)(B(±)→ηπ(±))=-0.19±0.06±0.01 with significances of 3.8 σ and 3.0 σ, respectively. For all measurements, the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.

Abstract: We search for CP violation in Cabibbo-suppressed charged D meson decays by measuring the difference between the CP-violating asymmetries for the Cabibbo-suppressed decays D(±)→K(+)K(-)π(±) and the Cabibbo-favored decays D(s)(±)→K(+)K(-)π(±) in the K(+)K(-) mass region of the ϕ resonance. Using 955 fb(-1) of data collected with the Belle detector, we obtain A(CP)(D+→ϕπ+)=(+0.51±0.28±0.05)%. The measurement improves the sensitivity of previous searches by more than a factor of 5. We find no evidence for direct CP violation.

Abstract: We report the first observations of the spin-singlet bottomonium states h(b)(1P) and h(b)(2P). The states are produced in the reaction e(+)e(-)→h(b)(nP)π(+)π(-) using a 121.4 fb(-1) data sample collected at energies near the Υ(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. We determine M[h(b)(1P)]=(9898.2(-1.0-1.1)(+1.1+1.0)) MeV/c(2) and M[h(b)(2P)]=(10,259.8±0.6(-1.0)(+1.4)) MeV/c(2), which correspond to P-wave hyperfine splittings ΔM(HF)=(+1.7±1.5) and (+0.5(-1.2)(+1.6)) MeV/c(2), respectively. The significances of the h(b)(1P) and h(b)(2P) are 5.5σ and 11.2σ, respectively. We find that the production of the h(b)(1P) and h(b)(2P) is not suppressed relative to the production of the Υ(1S), Υ(2S), and Υ(3S).

Abstract: We report the first observation of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D(+)→K(+)η((')) using a 791 fb(-1) data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. The ratio of the branching fractions of doubly Cabibbo-suppressed relative to singly Cabibbo-suppressed D(+)→π(+)η((')) decays are B(D(+)→K(+)η)/B(D(+)→π(+)η)=(3.06±0.43±0.14)% and B(D(+)→K(+)η')/B(D(+)→π(+)η')=(3.77±0.39±0.10)%. From these, we find that the relative final-state phase difference between the tree and annihilation amplitudes in D(+) decays, δ(TA), is (72±9)° or (288±9)°. We also report the most precise measurements of CP asymmetries to date: A(CP)(D(+)→π(+)η)=(+1.74±1.13±0.19)% and A(CP)(D(+)→π(+)η')=(-0.12±1.12±0.17)%.

Abstract: The suppressed decay chain B- -> DK-, D -> K+pi(-), where D indicates a (D) over bar (0) or D-0 state, provides important information on the CP-violating angle phi(3). We measure the ratio R-DK of the decay rates to the favored mode B- -> DK-, D -> K+pi(-) to be R-DK = [1.63(-0.41)(+0.44)(stat)(-0.13)(+0.07)(syst)] x 10(-2), which indicates the first evidence of the signal with a significance of 4.1 sigma. We also measure the asymmetry A(DK) between the charge-conjugate decays to be A(DK) = -0.39(-0.28)(+0.26)(stat)(-0.03)(+0.04)(syst). The results are based on the full 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pair data sample collected at the Gamma(4S) resonance with the Belle detector.

Abstract: We report a study of B→(J/ψγ)K and B→(ψ'γ)K decay modes using 772×10⁶ B ̅B events collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB energy-asymmetric e(+)e(-) collider. We observe X(3872)→J/ψγ and report the first evidence for χ(c2)→J/ψγ in B→(X_{c ̅cγ)K decays, while in a search for X(3872)→ψ'γ no significant signal is found. We measure the branching fractions, B(B(±)→X(3872)K(±))B(X(3872)→J/ψγ)=(1.78(-0.44)(+0.48)±0.12)×10(-6), B(B(±)→χ(c2)K(±))=(1.11(-0.34)(+0.36)±0.09)×10(-5), B(B(±)→X(3872)K(±))B(X(3872)→ψ'γ)3.45×10⁶ (upper limit at 90% C.L.), and also provide upper limits for other searches.

Abstract: The interference fragmentation function translates the fragmentation of a quark with a transverse projection of the spin into an azimuthal asymmetry of two final-state hadrons. In e(+)e(-) annihilation the product of two interference fragmentation functions is measured. We report nonzero asymmetries for pairs of charge-ordered π(+)π(-) pairs, which indicate a significant interference fragmentation function in this channel. The results are obtained from a 672 fb(-1) data sample that contains 711 × 10(6) π(+)π(-) pairs and was collected at and near the Υ(4S) resonance, with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider.
