Nature of the field-induced charge ordered phase (phase II) of SmRu$_4$P$_{12}$ has been investigated by resonant x-ray diffraction (RXD) and polarized neutron diffraction (PND), focusing on the relationship between the atomic displacements and the antiferromagnetic (AFM) moments of Sm. From the analysis of the interference between the non-resonant Thomson scattering and the resonant magnetic scattering, combined with the spectral function obtained from x-ray magnetic circular dichroism, it is shown that the AFM moment of Sm prefers to be parallel to the field ($m_{\text{AF}} \parallel H$), giving rise to large and small moment sites around which the P$_{12}$ and Ru cage contract and expand, respectively. This is associated with the formation of the staggered ordering of the $\Gamma_7$-like and $\Gamma_8$-like crystal-field states, providing a strong piece of evidence for the charge order. PND was also performed to obtain complementary and unambiguous conclusion. In addition, isotropic and continuous nature of the phase II is demonstrated by the field-direction invariance of the interference spectrum in RXD. Crucial role of the $p$-$f$ hybridization is shown by resonant soft x-ray diffraction at the P $K$-edge ($1s\leftrightarrow 3p$), where we detected a resonance due to the spin polarized $3p$ orbitals reflecting the AFM order of Sm., Comment: 12 pages, 11 figures, supplemental material (5 pages, 9 figures), accepted for publication in Phys. We present a spatially resolved map of integrated-intensity and abundance of Neptune's stratospheric hydrogen cyanide (HCN). The analyzed data were obtained from the archived 2016 observation of the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array. A 0.42 $\times$ 0.39 arcseconds synthesized beam, which is equivalent to a latitudinal resolution of $\sim$20 degrees at the disk center, was fine enough to resolve Neptune's 2.24 arcseconds diameter disk. After correcting the effect of different optical path lengths, a spatial distribution of HCN emissions is derived over Neptune's disk, and it clearly shows a band-like HCN enhancement at the equator. Radiative transfer analysis indicates that the HCN volume mixing ratio measured at the equator was 1.92 ppb above the 10$^{-3}$ bar pressure level, which is 40$\%$ higher than that measured at the southern middle and high latitudes. The spatial distribution of HCN can be interpreted as either the effect of the transportation of N$_{2}$ from the troposphere by meridional atmospheric circulation, or an external supply such as cometary collisions (or both of these reasons). From the meridional circulation point of view, the observed HCN enhancement on both the equator and the pole can be explained by the production and accumulation of HCN at the downward branches of the previously suggested two-cell meridional circulation models. With an emphasis on improving the fidelity even in super-resolution regimes, new imaging techniques have been intensively developed over the last several years, which may provide substantial improvements to the interferometric observation of protoplanetary disks. In this study, sparse modeling (SpM) is applied for the first time to observational data sets taken by the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). The two data sets used in this study were taken independently using different array configurations at Band 7 (330 GHz), targeting the protoplanetary disk around HD 142527; one in the shorter-baseline array configuration (~ 430 m), and the other in the longer-baseline array configuration (~ 1570 m). The image resolutions reconstructed from the two data sets are different by a factor of ~ 3. We confirm that the previously known disk structures appear on the images produced by both SpM and CLEAN at the standard beam size. The image reconstructed from the shorter-baseline data using the SpM matches that obtained with the longer-baseline data using CLEAN, achieving a super-resolution image from which a structure finer than the beam size can be reproduced. Our results demonstrate that on-going intensive development in the SpM imaging technique is beneficial to imaging with ALMA.

Dark rings with bright rims are the indirect signposts of planets embedded in protoplanetary discs. In a recent first, an azimuthally elongated AU-scale blob, possibly a planet, was resolved with ALMA in TW Hya. The blob is at the edge of a cliff-like rollover in the dust disc rather than inside a dark ring. Here we build time-dependent models of TW Hya disc. We find that the classical paradigm cannot account for the morphology of the disc and the blob. We propose that ALMA-discovered blob hides a Neptune mass planet losing gas and dust. We show that radial drift of mm-sized dust particles naturally explains why the blob is located on the edge of the dust disc. Dust particles leaving the planet perform a characteristic U-turn relative to it, producing an azimuthally elongated blob-like emission feature. This scenario also explains why a 10 Myr old disc is so bright in dust continuum. Two scenarios for the dust-losing planet are presented. In the first, a dusty pre-runaway gas envelope of about 40 Earth mass Core Accretion planet is disrupted, e.g., as a result of a catastrophic encounter. In the second, a massive dusty pre-collapse gas giant planet formed by Gravitational Instability is disrupted by the energy released in its massive core. Future modelling may discriminate between these scenarios and allow us to study planet formation in an entirely new way -- by analysing the flows of dust and gas recently belonging to planets, informing us about the structure of pre-disruption planetary envelopes., Comment: Typos fixed, references and author list updated

GW Ori is a hierarchical triple system which has a rare circumtriple disk. We present Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) observations of 1.3 mm dust continuum and 12CO J=2-1 molecular gas emission of the disk. For the first time, we identify three dust rings in the disk at ~46, 188, and 338 AU, with estimated dust mass of ~70-250 Earth masses, respectively. To our knowledge, the outer ring in GW Ori is the largest dust ring ever found in protoplanetary disks. We use visibility modelling of dust continuum to show that the disk has misaligned parts and the innermost dust ring is eccentric. The disk misalignment is also suggested by the CO kinematics modelling. Dust continuum observation is one of the best methods to constrain the properties of protoplanetary disks. Recent theoretical studies have suggested that the dust scattering at the millimeter wavelength potentially reduces the observed intensity, which results in an underestimate in the dust mass. We investigate whether the dust scattering indeed reduces the observed continuum intensity by comparing the ALMA archival data of the TW Hya disk at Band 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9 to models obtained by radiative transfer simulations. We find that the model with scattering by 300 ${\rm \mu m}$-sized grains well reproduces the observed SED of the central part of the TW Hya disk while the model without scattering is also consistent within the errors of the absolute fluxes. To explain the intensity at Band 3, the dust surface density needs to be $\sim$ 10 ${\rm g\,cm^{-2}}$ at 10 au in the model with scattering, which is 26 times more massive than previously predicted. The model without scattering needs 2.3 times higher dust mass than the model with scattering because it needs lower temperature. At Band 7, scattering reduces the intensity by $\sim$ 35% which makes the disk looks optically thin even though it is optically thick. A planet is formed within a protoplanetary disk. Recent observations have revealed substructures such as gaps and rings, which may indicate forming planets within the disk. Due to disk--planet interaction, the planet migrates within the disk, which can affect a shape of the planet-induced gap. In this paper, we investigate effects of fast inward migration of the planet on the gap shape, by carrying out hydrodynamic simulations. We found that when the migration timescale is shorter than the timescale of the gap-opening, the orbital radius is shifted inward as compared to the radial location of the gap. We also found a scaling relation between the radial shift of the locations of the planet and the gap as a function of the ratio of the timescale of the migration and gap-opening. Our scaling relation also enables us to constrain the gas surface density and the viscosity when the gap and the planet are observed. Moreover, we also found the scaling relation between the location of the secondary gap and the aspect ratio. We are developing an ultra-wideband spectroscopic instrument, DESHIMA (DEep Spectroscopic HIgh-redshift MApper), based on the technologies of an on-chip filter-bank and Microwave Kinetic Inductance Detector (MKID) to investigate dusty star-burst galaxies in the distant universe at millimeter and submillimeter wavelength. An on-site experiment of DESHIMA was performed using the ASTE 10-m telescope. We established a responsivity model that converts frequency responses of the MKIDs to line-of-sight brightness temperature. We estimated two parameters of the responsivity model using a set of skydip data taken under various precipitable water vapor (PWV, 0.4-3.0 mm) conditions for each MKID. The line-of-sight brightness temperature of sky is estimated using an atmospheric transmission model and the PWVs. As a result, we obtain an average temperature calibration uncertainty of $1\sigma=4$%, which is smaller than other photometric biases. In addition, the average forward efficiency of 0.88 in our responsivity model is consistent with the value expected from the geometrical support structure of the telescope. We also estimate line-of-sight PWVs of each skydip observation using the frequency response of MKIDs, and confirm the consistency with PWVs reported by the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array., Comment: Accepted for publication in the Journal of Low Temperature Physics for LTD-18 special issue

Each of the nitriles present in the atmosphere of Titan can be expected to exhibit different \ce{^{14}N/^{15}N} values depending on their production processes, primarily because of the various \ce{N2} dissociation processes induced by different sources such as ultraviolet radiation, magnetospheric electrons, and galactic cosmic rays. For \ce{CH3CN}, one photochemical model predicted a \ce{^{14}N/^{15}N} value as 120--130 in the lower stratosphere. This is much higher than that for \ce{HCN} and \ce{HC3N}, $\sim$67--94. By analyzing archival data obtained by the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), we successfully detected submillimeter rotational transitions of \ce{CH3C^{15}N} ($J$ = 19--18) locate at the 338 GHz band in Titan's atmospheric spectra. By comparing those observations with the simultaneously observed \ce{CH3CN} ($J$ = 19--18) lines at the 349 GHz band, which probe from 160 to $\sim$400 km altitude, we then derived \ce{^{14}N/^{15}N} in \ce{CH3CN} as 125$^{+145}_{-44}$. Although the range of the derived value shows insufficient accuracy due to data quality limitations, the best-fit value suggests that \ce{^{14}N/^{15}N} for \ce{CH3CN} is higher than values that have been previously observed and theoretically predicted for \ce{HCN} and \ce{HC3N}. This may be explained by the different \ce{N2} dissociation sources according to the altitudes, as suggested by a recent photochemical model., Comment: To be published in ApJ

We observe the dust continuum at 225 GHz and CO isotopologue (12CO, 13CO, and C18O) J=2-1 emission lines toward the CR Cha protoplanetary disk using the Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array (ALMA). The dust continuum image shows a dust gap-ring structure in the outer region of the dust disk. A faint dust ring is also detected around 120 au beyond the dust gap. The CO isotopologue lines indicate that the gas disk is more extended than the dust disk. The peak brightness temperature of the 13CO line shows a small bump around 130 au while 12CO and C18O lines do not show. We investigate two possible mechanisms for reproducing the observed dust gap-ring structure and a gas temperature bump. First, the observed gap structure can be opened by a Jupiter mass planet using the relation between the planet mass and the gap depth and width. Meanwhile, the radiative transfer calculations based on the observed dust surface density profile show that the observed dust ring could be formed by dust accumulation at the gas temperature bump, that is, the gas pressure bump produced beyond the outer edge of the dust disk., Comment: 21 pages, figures

The SR24 multi-star system hosts both circumprimary and circumsecondary disks, which are strongly misaligned from each other. The circumsecondary disk is circumbinary in nature. Interestingly, both disks are interacting, and they possibly rotate in opposite directions. To investigate the nature of this unique twin disk system, we present 0.''1 resolution near-infrared polarized intensity images of the circumstellar structures around SR24, obtained with HiCIAO mounted on the Subaru 8.2 m telescope. Both the circumprimary disk and the circumsecondary disk are resolved and have elongated features. While the position angle of the major axis and radius of the NIR polarization disk around SR24S are 55$^{\circ}$ and 137 au, respectively, those around SR24N are 110$^{\circ}$ and 34 au, respectively. With regard to overall morphology, the circumprimary disk around SR24S shows strong asymmetry, whereas the circumsecondary disk around SR24N shows relatively strong symmetry. Our NIR observations confirm the previous claim that the circumprimary and circumsecondary disks are misaligned from each other. Both the circumprimary and circumsecondary disks show similar structures in $^{12}$CO observations in terms of its size and elongation direction. This consistency is because both NIR and $^{12}$CO are tracing surface layers of the flared disks. As the radius of the polarization disk around SR24N is roughly consistent with the size of the outer Roche lobe, it is natural to interpret the polarization disk around SR24N as a circumbinary disk surrounding the SR24Nb-Nc system., Comment: 14 pages, 5 figures, accepted for publication in AJ

We conducted an exploration of 12CO molecular outflows in the Orion A giant molecular cloud to investigate outflow feedback using 12CO (J = 1-0) and 13CO (J = 1-0) data obtained by the Nobeyama 45-m telescope. In the region excluding the center of OMC 1, we identified 44 12CO (including 17 newly detected) outflows based on the unbiased and systematic procedure of automatically determining the velocity range of the outflows and separating the cloud and outflow components. The optical depth of the 12CO emission in the detected outflows is estimated to be approximately 5. The total momentum and energy of the outflows, corrected for optical depth, are estimated to be 1.6 x 10 2 M km s-1 and 1.5 x 10 46 erg, respectively. The momentum and energy ejection rate of the outflows are estimated to be 36% and 235% of the momentum and energy dissipation rates of the cloud turbulence, respectively. Furthermore, the ejection rates of the outflows are comparable to those of the expanding molecular shells estimated by Feddersen et al. (2018, ApJ, 862, 121). Cloud turbulence cannot be sustained by the outflows and shells unless the energy conversion efficiency is as high as 20%.

We present ALMA observations of the $98.5~\mathrm{GHz}$ dust continuum and the $\mathrm{^{13}CO}~J = 1 - 0$ and $\mathrm{C^{18}O}~J = 1 - 0$ line emissions of the protoplanetary disk associated with HD~142527. The $98.5~\mathrm{GHz}$ continuum shows a strong azimuthal-asymmetric distribution similar to that of the previously reported $336~\mathrm{GHz}$ continuum, with a peak emission in dust concentrated region in the north. The disk is optically thin in both the $98.5~\mathrm{GHz}$ dust continuum and the $\mathrm{C^{18}O}~J = 1 - 0$ emissions. We derive the distributions of gas and dust surface densities, $\Sigma_\mathrm{g}$ and $\Sigma_\mathrm{d}$, and the dust spectral opacity index, $\beta$, in the disk from ALMA Band 3 and Band 7 data. In the analyses, we assume the local thermodynamic equilibrium and the disk temperature to be equal to the peak brightness temperature of $\mathrm{^{13}CO}~J = 3 - 2$ with a continuum emission. The gas-to-dust ratio, $\mathrm{G/D}$, varies azimuthally with a relation $\mathrm{G/D} \propto \Sigma_\mathrm{d}^{-0.53}$, and $\beta$ is derived to be $\approx 1$ and $\approx 1.7$ in the northern and southern regions of the disk, respectively. These results are consistent with the accumulation of larger dust grains in a higher pressure region. In addition, our results show that the peak $\Sigma_\mathrm{d}$ is located ahead of the peak $\Sigma_\mathrm{g}$. If the latter corresponds to a vortex of high gas pressure, the results indicate that the dust is trapped ahead of the vortex, as predicted by some theoretical studies., Comment: 32 pages, 15 figures

We carried out mapping observations toward three nearby molecular clouds, Orion A, Aquila Rift, and M17, using a new 100 GHz receiver, FOREST, on the Nobeyama 45-m telescope. In the present paper, we describe the details of the data obtained such as intensity calibration, data sensitivity, angular resolution, and velocity resolution. Each target contains at least one high-mass star-forming region. The target molecular lines were $^{12}$CO ($J = 1 - 0$), $^{13}$CO ($J = 1 - 0$), C$^{18}$O ($J = 1 - 0$), N$_2$H$^+$ ($J=1-0$), and CCS ($J_N=8_7-7_6$), with which we covered the density range of 10$^2$ cm$^{-3}$ to 10$^6$ cm$^{-3}$ with an angular resolution of $\sim 20\arcsec$ and a velocity resolution of $\sim$ 0.1 km s$^{-1}$. Assuming the representative distances of 414 pc, 436 pc, and 2.1 kpc, the maps of Orion A, Aquila Rift, and M17 cover most of the densest parts with areas of about 7 pc $\times$ 15 pc, 7 pc $\times$ 7 pc, and 36 pc $\times$ 18 pc, respectively. On the basis of the $^{13}$CO column density distribution, the total molecular masses are derived to be $3.86 \times 10^4 M_\odot$, $2.67 \times 10^4 M_\odot$, and $8.1\times 10^5 M_\odot$ for Orion A, Aquila Rift, and M17, respectively. For all the clouds, the H$_2$ column density exceeds the theoretical threshold for high-mass star formation of $\gtrsim$ 1 g cm$^{-2}$, only toward the regions which contain current high-mass star-forming sites. For other areas, further mass accretion or dynamical compression would be necessary for future high-mass star formation. This is consistent with the current star formation activity. Using the $^{12}$CO data, we demonstrate that our data have enough capability to identify molecular outflows, and for Aquila Rift, we identify 4 new outflow candidates. We present results of the classification of cloud structures toward the Orion A Giant Molecular Cloud based on wide-field $^{12}$CO ($J$ = 1--0), $^{13}$CO ($J$ = 1-0), and C$^{18}$O ($J$ = 1-0) observations using the Nobeyama 45 m radio telescope. We identified 78 clouds toward Orion A by applying Spectral Clustering for Interstellar Molecular Emission Segmentation (SCIMES) to the data cube of the column density of $^{13}$CO. Well-known subregions such as OMC-1, OMC-2/3, OMC-4, OMC-5, NGC 1977, L1641-N, and the dark lane south filament (DLSF) are naturally identified as distinct structures in Orion A. These clouds can also be classified into three groups: the integral-shaped filament, the southern regions of Orion A, and the other filamentary structures in the outer parts of Orion A and the DLSF. These groups show differences in scaling relations between the physical properties of the clouds. We derived the abundance ratio between $^{13}$CO and C$^{18}$O, $X_{^{13}\mathrm{CO}}/X_{\mathrm{C}^{18}\mathrm{O}}$, which ranges from 5.6 to 17.4 on median over the individual clouds. The significant variation of $X_{^{13}\mathrm{CO}}/X_{\mathrm{C}^{18}\mathrm{O}}$ is also seen within a cloud in both of the spatial and velocity directions and the ratio tends to be high at the edge of the cloud. The values of $X_{^{13}\mathrm{CO}}/X_{\mathrm{C}^{18}\mathrm{O}}$ decrease from 17 to 10 with the median of the column densities of the clouds at the column density of $N_{\mathrm{C^{18}O}} \gtrsim 1 \times 10^{15}$ cm$^{-2}$ or visual extinction of $A_V \gtrsim 3$ mag under the strong far-ultraviolet (FUV) environment of $G_0 > 10^{3}$, whereas it is almost independent of the column density in the weak FUV radiation field. These results are explained if the selective photodissociation of C$^{18}$O is enhanced under a strong FUV environment and it is suppressed in the dense part of the clouds., Comment: 20 pages, 11 figures, accepted in PASJ

We present 870 $\mu$m ALMA polarization observation toward the Class I\hspace{-.1em}I protoplanetary disk around AS 209, which has concentric, multiple gaps and rings. We successfully detect the polarized emission and find that the polarization orientations and fractions have distinct characteristics between the inner and outer regions. In the inner region, the polarization orientations are parallel to the minor axis of the disk, which is consistent with the self-scattering model. The mean polarization fraction in the region is $\sim$0.2\%, which is lower than the expected value when the grains have the maximum polarization efficiency, which corresponds to $\lambda$/2$\pi$ $\sim$ 140 $\mu$m in grain radius. In the outer region, we detect $\sim$1.0\% polarization and find that the polarization orientations are almost in the azimuthal directions. Moreover, the polarization orientations have systematic angular deviations from the azimuthal directions with $\Delta$$\theta$ $\sim$ 4\fdg5 $\pm$ 1\fdg6. The pattern is consistent with a model that radially drifting dust grains are aligned by the gas flow against the dust grains. We consider possible scenarios of the grain dynamics at the AS 209 ring which can reproduce the polarization pattern. However, the directions of the observed angular deviations are opposite to what is predicted under the fact that the disk rotates clockwise. This poses a question in our understandings of the alignment processes and/or grain dynamics in protoplanetary disks., Comment: 14 pages, 7 figures

We present the results of mapping observations toward an outflow-shocked region, OMC-2 FIR 4 using the Nobeyama 45-m telescope. We observed the area in $^{13}$CO ($J=1-0$), C$^{18}$O ($J=1-0$), N$_2$H$^+$ ($J=1-0$), CCS ($J_N=8_7-7_6$), HCO$^+$ ($J=1-0$), H$^{13}$CO$^+$ ($J=1-0$), HN$^{13}$C ($J=1-0$), H$^{13}$CN ($J=1-0$), DNC ($J=1-0$), N$_2$D$^+$ ($J=1-0$), and DC$_3$N ($J=9-8$). We detected a dense molecular clump that contains FIR 4/5. We also detected in $^{13}$CO blueshifted and redshifted components driven presumably by protostellar outflows in this region. The axes of the FIR 3 and VLA 13 outflows, projected on the plane of the sky, appear to point toward the FIR 4 clump, suggesting that the clump may be compressed by protostellar outflows from Class I sources, FIR 3 and VLA 13. Applying the hyperfine fit of N$_2$H$^+$ lines, we estimated the excitation temperature to be $\sim$ 20 K. The high excitation temperature is consistent with the fact that the clump contains protostars. The CCS emission was detected in this region for the first time. Its abundance is estimated to be a few $\times 10^{-12}$, indicating that the region is chemically evolved at $\sim 10^5$ years, which is comparable to the typical lifetime of the Class I protostars. This timescale is consistent with the scenario that star formation in FIR 4 is triggered by dynamical compression of the protostellar outflows. The [HNC]/[HCN] ratio is evaluated to be $\sim 0.5$ in the dense clump and the outflow lobes, whereas it is somewhat larger in the envelope of the dense clump. The small [HNC]/[HCN] ratio indicates that the HNC formation was prevented due to high temperatures. Such high temperatures seem to be consistent with the scenario that either protostellar radiation or outflow compression, or both, affected the thermal properties of this region., Comment: 23 pages, 8 figures, PASJ in press

Ultra-wideband 3D imaging spectrometry in the millimeter-submillimeter (mm-submm) band is an essential tool for uncovering the dust-enshrouded portion of the cosmic history of star formation and galaxy evolution. However, it is challenging to scale up conventional coherent heterodyne receivers or free-space diffraction techniques to sufficient bandwidths ($\geq$1 octave) and numbers of spatial pixels (>$10^2$). Here we present the design and first astronomical spectra of an intrinsically scalable, integrated superconducting spectrometer, which covers 332-377 GHz with a spectral resolution of $F/\Delta F \sim 380$. It combines the multiplexing advantage of microwave kinetic inductance detectors (MKIDs) with planar superconducting filters for dispersing the signal in a single, small superconducting integrated circuit. We demonstrate the two key applications for an instrument of this type: as an efficient redshift machine, and as a fast multi-line spectral mapper of extended areas. The line detection sensitivity is in excellent agreement with the instrument design and laboratory performance, reaching the atmospheric foreground photon noise limit on sky. The design can be scaled to bandwidths in excess of an octave, spectral resolution up to a few thousand and frequencies up to $\sim$1.1 THz. The miniature chip footprint of a few $\mathrm{cm^2}$ allows for compact multi-pixel spectral imagers, which would enable spectroscopic direct imaging and large volume spectroscopic surveys that are several orders of magnitude faster than what is currently possible., Comment: Published in Nature Astronomy. Amorphous oxide semiconductors, especially indium oxide-based (InOx) thin-films, have been major candidates for high mobility with easy-to-use device processability. As one of the dopants in InOx semiconductors, we proposed Si to design a thin-film transistor (TFT) channel. Because the suppression of unstable oxygen vacancies in InOx is crucial to maintaining the semiconducting behavior, Si was selected as a strong oxygen binder that is reasonably available for large production. In this review, we focus on the overall properties observed in Si-incorporated amorphous InOx TFTs in terms of bond-dissociation energy, Gibbs free energy, Si-concentration dependence of TFT properties, carrier transport mechanism, and bias stress instability. In comparing low and high doping densities, we found that the activation energy and density of states decreased at a high Si concentration in InOx TFTs, implying that the trap density was reduced. As a result, stable operation under bias stresses could be realized. Furthermore, the inverse Meyer-Neldel rule was observed in the highly Si-doped InOx TFT, indicating reasonable ohmic contact. Based on our fundamental knowledge of the Si-doped InOx film, we developed a high-mobility bilayer TFT with a homogeneous stacked channel that was different from a TFT with an etch stop layer structure. The TFT showed remarkably stable operation. With simple element components based on InOx, it is possible to systematically discuss vacancy engineering in terms of conduction properties.

Vapor transportation is the core process in growing transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) by chemical vapor deposition (CVD). One inevitable problem is the spatial inhomogeneity of the vapors. The non-stoichiometric supply of transition-metal precursors and chalcogen leads to poor control in products' location, morphology, crystallinity, uniformity and batch to batch reproducibility. While vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) growth involves molten precursors at the growth temperatures higher than their melting points. The liquid sodium molybdate can precipitate solid MoS2 monolayers when saturated with sulfur vapor. Taking advantage of the VLS growth, we achieved three kinds of important achievements: (a) 4-inch-wafer-scale uniform growth of MoS2 flakes on SiO2/Si substrates, (b) 2-inch-wafer-scale growth of continuous MoS2 film with a grain size exceeding 100 um on sapphire substrates, and (c) pattern (site-controlled) growth of MoS2 flakes and film. We report the detection of an excess in dust continuum emission at 233~GHz (1.3~mm in wavelength) in the protoplanetary disk around TW~Hya revealed through high-sensitivity observations at $\sim$3~au resolution with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). The sensitivity of the 233~GHz image has been improved by a factor of 3 with regard to that of our previous cycle 3 observations. The overall structure is mostly axisymmetric, and there are apparent gaps at 25 and 41 au as previously reported. The most remarkable new finding is a few au-scale excess emission in the south-west part of the protoplanetary disk. The excess emission is located at 52 au from the disk center and is 1.5 times brighter than the surrounding protoplanetary disk at a significance of 12$\sigma$. We performed a visibility fitting to the extracted emission after subtracting the axisymmetric protoplanetary disk emission and found that the inferred size and the total flux density of the excess emission are 4.4$\times$1.0~au and 250~$\mu$Jy, respectively. The dust mass of the excess emission corresponds to 0.03~$M_\oplus$ if a dust temperature of 18~K is assumed. Since the excess emission can also be marginally identified in the Band 7 image at almost the same position, the feature is unlikely to be a background source. The excess emission can be explained by a dust clump accumulated in a small elongated vortex or a massive circumplanetary disk around a Neptune mass forming-planet., Comment: 9pages, 5 figures, Accepted for publication in The Astrophysical Journal Letters

In this paper, we analyse the upper limit fluxes of sub-millimeter ortho-H$_{2}$$^{16}$O 321 GHz, para-H$_{2}$$^{18}$O 322 GHz, and HDO 335 GHz lines from the protoplanetary disk around the Herbig Ae star HD 163296, using the Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array (ALMA). These water lines are considered to be the best candidate sub-millimeter lines to locate the position of the H$_{2}$O snowline, on the basis of our previous model calculations. We compare the upper limit fluxes with the values calculated by our models with dust emission included, and we constrain the line emitting region and the dust opacity from the observations. We conclude that, if the outer edge of the region with high water vapor abundance and if the position of the water snowline are beyond 8 au also, the mm dust opacity will have a value larger than 2.0 cm$^{2}$ g$^{-1}$. In addition, the position of the water snowline will be inside 20 au, if the mm dust opacity is 2.0 cm$^{2}$ g$^{-1}$. Future observations of the dust continuum emission at higher angular resolution and sub-millimeter water lines with longer observation time are required to clarify the detailed structures and the position of the H$_{2}$O snowline in the disk midplane., Comment: 17 pages, 8 figures, and 3 tables are contained in this paper. Analyzing multiband observations of dust continuum emission is one of the useful tools to constrain dust properties which help us to understand the physical properties of the disks. We perform the synthetic ALMA multiband analysis to find the best ALMA band set for constraining the dust properties of the TW Hya protoplanetary disk. We find that the Band [10,6,3] set is the best set among the possible combinations of ALMA Band [3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10]. We also find two conditions for the good ALMA band sets providing narrow constraint ranges on dust properties; (1) Band 9 or 10 is included in the band set and (2) Enough frequency intervals between the bands. These are related with the conditions which give good constraints on dust properties: the combination of optically thick and thin bands are required, and large beta (beta is the power-law index of dust opacity), and low dust temperature are preferable. To examine our synthetic analysis results, we apply the multiband analysis to ALMA archival data of the TW Hya disk at Band 4, 6, 7, and 9. Band [9,6,4] set provides the dust properties close to the model profile, while Band [7,6,4] set gives the dust properties deviating from the model at all radii with too broad constraint range to specify the accurate values of dust temperature, optical depth, and \b{eta}.
