In the era we live in today, the network is often used to analyze a large number of complex systems. With the development of the information society, there are more and more ways to disseminate public information through social networks. Public opinion dissemination refers to the process of disseminating public opinion information through social networks. Because the dissemination of public opinion is the basis for the exchange of ideas among multiple communicators of public opinion, the network community will certainly have an impact on the dissemination and development of public opinion. This article is based on artificial intelligence to study the network public opinion big data dissemination characteristic analysis system, introduces the network public opinion analysis system based on the characteristics of the network public opinion, introduces in detail multiple methods and clustering algorithms for extracting the text information of Internet public opinion, and proposes the Kmeans + Canopy + semantic similarity algorithm, and uses the A event to compare the parameters of the network clustering coefficient, the correlation measure and the degree centrality measure, and the performance of the Kmeans + Canopy algorithm and the Kmeans + Canopy + semantic similarity algorithm. The results of the experiment found that the clustering coefficient of “People’s Daily” in the network dissemination of A event was 0.038, which was the highest among all nodes. It shows that 3.8% of the nodes established by the “People’s Daily” can interact one-to-one to deliver information and intelligence resources. Although the complexity of the algorithm has increased and the time consumed by the system has increased, the accuracy of clustering has been improved, especially for cultural articles, the accuracy rate has been as high as 75%, and entertainment articles can reach up to 70%, and stabilize at around 70%.

Spatial transcriptomics has emerged as a groundbreaking tool for studying ligand-receptor interactions between cells, where such interactions can exhibit spatial variability. To identify spatially variable ligand-receptor interactions (SVIs), we present SPIDER, which constructs cell-cell interaction interfaces with minimized Dirichlet energy, models interface profiles with knowledge-graph-informed interaction signals, and identifies spatially variable signals with multiple probabilistic models. We applied SPIDER to twelve datasets from five platforms of various tissues and obtained intriguing insights. First, applying SPIDER to mouse-developing embryo data identifies distinct SVIs that potentially drive the early dorsal-ventral separation of esophageal tracheal progenitors, and applying SPIDER to lung samples suggests the proximal-distal differentiation axis of lung development. Then, from the pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas dataset, SPIDER identified two SVI-defined clusters at the tumor boundary and an immune niche of mixed immune cells. Furthermore, on a curated breast cancer database of seventeen samples from three cancer subtypes, SPIDER identified transient SVIs along the tumor-microenvironment trajectory that are invariant or specific to cancer subtypes. Finally, in mouse and human cortex samples with manual annotations, SPIDER identified SVIs that improved spot clustering, trajectory inference, and single-cell reconstruction.

The detection of electromagnetic signals by satellites often uses a two-step method. The proposed direct position determination (DPD) method has improved the accuracy of passive location. However, the DPD method requires the signal carrier frequency as an input parameter, and the carrier frequencies of multiple unknown signals are challenging to measure accurately. In this paper, we propose a DPD method with carrier frequency estimation of multiple unknown sources using low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites, which estimate the carrier frequencies of each source while localizing.

Given a large number of network parameters of the existing security wear detection, it is difficult to run on the embedded platform. Based on the idea of deep separable convolution, a lightweight security wearable target detection network based on improved YOLOv5 is proposed. Specifically, the feature extraction network structure of YOLOv5 is lightweight improved to reduce computation of the proposed model, including the increase of the number of network layers and decrease of the number of parameters. In addition, an attention mechanism is introduced to weigh different channels of the feature map to improve detection accuracy. The model has been tested on PASCAL VOC dataset and security wear dataset. The experimental results show that the size of the proposed model is 8.0 MB, the number of parameters is 7.5 ∗ 105 , and the number of FLOPs is 7.5 ∗ 105 . Compared with the YOLOv5 model, the required memory is reduced by 44.8%, and the number of parameters decreased by 45.58%, FLOPs decreased by 54.54%. Accordingly, the results have demonstrated that the proposed method can significantly improve the detection speed while maintain the accuracy. Especially, we have successfully deployed the proposed model in the high-speed detection of security wear.

In this study, we demonstrate for the first time the construction of a ternary BiVO4/FeVO4/Cu2O nanorod array (NRA) photoelectrode via seed-assisted refluxing, hydrothermal and successive ionic-layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method and its photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation performance. The energy band structures of the BiVO4, FeVO4 and Cu2O show that two type-II band alignments with a ladder-like structure are formed in the constructed ternary BiVO4/FeVO4/Cu2O NRA photoelectrode, enabling the photoelectrode to display substantially enhanced PEC performance. The constructed ternary photoelectrode loaded with the optimized Cu2O nanoparticles achieves a zero-bias photocurrent density of 50 μA cm−2, 5 times higher than that of the pure BiVO4 NRA photoelectrode. The measurements of optical property reveal that the constructed BiVO4/FeVO4/Cu2O nanorod arrays (NRAs) demonstrate improved light absorption capability. The electrochemical impedance and photoluminescence measurements confirm that the charge carriers of the BiVO4/FeVO4/Cu2O heterojunction NRAs are transferred and separated effectively. The substantially boosted PEC water oxidation activity of the constructed ternary BiVO4/FeVO4/Cu2O heterojunction NRA photoelectrode is ascribed to the improved light harvesting and effective charge separation.

Optical gas sensors play an increasingly important role in many applications, particularly for the detection of toxic gases. A novel Goos–Hänchen (GH) shift optical gas sensing scheme based on subwavelength hyperbolic metamaterials (HMMs) is proposed. The GH shift intensity, direction and the critical wavelength characteristics were revealed. By virtue of the GH shift and subwavelength HMMs characteristics, we designed an ultra-sensitive gas sensor to detect helium (He), hydrogen (H2), carbon monoxide (CO) and methane (CH4). The study shows that the sensitivities of the gas sensor can reach as high as [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], and [Formula: see text]. With proper surface chemical modification, this GH shift gas sensor would be a powerful tool for high-sensitive gas sensing applications.

Tactile sensations are mainly transmitted to each other by physical touch. Wireless touch perception could be a revolution for us to interact with the world. Here, we report a wireless self-sensing and haptic-reproducing electronic skin (e-skin) to realize noncontact touch communications. A flexible self-sensing actuator was developed to provide an integrated function in both tactile sensing and haptic feedback. When this e-skin was dynamically pressed, the actuator generated an induced voltage as tactile information. Via wireless communication, another e-skin could receive this tactile data and run a synchronized haptic reproduction. Thus, touch could be wirelessly conveyed in bidirections between two users as a touch intercom. Furthermore, this e-skin could be connected with various smart devices to form a touch internet of things where one-to-one and one-to-multiple touch delivery could be realized. This wireless touch presents huge potentials in remote touch video, medical care/assistance, education, and many other applications.

Biosensors have various potential applications in biomedical research and clinical diagnostic, especially in detection of biomolecules in highly diluted solutions. In this study, a high-performance Bloch surface wave biosensor was constructed for the detection of hemoglobin. The procedure consisted of designing a porous silicon-based Kretschmann configuration to ensure excitation of the Bloch surface wave. The performance of the resulting sensor was then optimized by adjusting the buffer layer parameters based on the impedance matching method. The results showed an increase in the quality factor and figure of merit of the biosensor as a function of the decrease in thickness and refractive index of the buffer layer. The combination of the two optimization methods resulted in the quality factor and figure of merit of the optimized biosensor reaching as high as Q = 6967.4 and FOM = 11050RIU−1, respectively. In sum, the designed biosensor with high performance looks promising for future detection of hemoglobin.

Background Hypertension is a major contributor to cardiovascular diseases globally. Pharmacists can help patients with hypertension to reduce blood pressure (BP) with telemedicine technology. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a new pharmacist-led telemedicine disease management model based on mobile application for elderly hypertensive patients. Methods Elderly patients aged 60–85 years old, diagnosed with hypertension, and taking at least five medications were enrolled in a pharmacist-led telemedicine disease management program for six months, during which patient transmitted BP and blood glucose (BG) to pharmacist via a new telemedicine system, and pharmacists provided interventions such as monitoring indicators, medication therapy management (MTM), medication consultation, and measured HbA1c and blood lipid of patients every three months. If necessary, pharmacists also communicated with community physicians about patients’ medications adjustment plan. Results After the six-month intervention, systolic blood pressure (132.30 ± 9.88 vs 134.54 ± 15.59, p = 0.013), LDL-C (1.85 ± 0.77 vs 2.09 ± 0.85, p = 0.001), and HbA1c (6.59 ± 0.98 vs 6.91 ± 1.17, p = 0.009) showed significant reductions in all patients. Point of care (POC) diagnosis of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) are particularly significant for preventing transmission of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) by any user at any given time and place. CRISPR/Cas-assisted SARS-CoV-2 assays are viewed as supplemental to RT-PCR due to simple operation, convenient use and low cost. However, most current CRISPR molecular diagnostics based on fluorescence measurement increased the difficulty of POC test with need of the additional light sources. Some instrument-free visual detection with the naked eye has limitations in probe universality. Herein, we developed a universal, rapid, sensitive and specific SARS-CoV-2 POC test that combines the outstanding DNase activity of Cas12a with universal AuNPs strand-displacement probe. The oligo trigger, which is the switch the AuNPs of the strand-displacement probe, is declined as a result of Cas12a recognition and digestion. The amount of released AuNPs produced color change which can be visual with the naked eye and assessed by UV-Vis spectrometer for quantitative detection. To establish and apply the home nutrition care and follow-up management pattern for the treatment of patients with intestinal failure (IF).This retrospective study analyzed patients with IF who received nutrition nursing and follow-up management at the Clinical Nutrition Treatment Center of Jinling Hospital between January 2018 and April 2022. The changes in nutritional indicators and body compositions of patients before and after standardized management were recorded and compared.A total of 65 patients with IF were enrolled, with a mean age of 52.4±15.8 years and BMI of 17.9±2.7 kg/m2. Compared with before the application of home nutrition nursing and follow-up man-agement, nutritional indicators (Albumin, Prealbumin, and Hemoglobin) were improved significantly in IF patients after the standard management (p0.05, all). In addition, the body mass index (BMI), fat-free mass index (FFMI), and skeletal muscle mass index (SMI) were also significantly increased after standard management (p0.05, all).The establishment and application of home nutrition nursing and follow-up pattern could ensure the nutritional support effect and improve the nutritional status and body composition of patients with IF.

NutritionDay is a yearly global point-prevalence study of malnutrition or nutritional risk in hospitals. We aimed to provide a comprehensive nutritional survey of hospitalized patients and analyze the risk factors of malnutrition and prolonged hospitalization in Chinese inpatients.The international daylong cross-sectional survey was performed on November 07th, 2019. Ten hospitals were invited to participate in this NutritionDay survey. Nutritional risk was identified by nutritional risk screening 2002, and malnutrition was identified by the ESPEN criteria. We measured the incidence of malnutrition and nutritional risk. And we analysed risk factors for malnutrition and length of stay in Chinese hospitalized patients.875 hospitalized patients from 6 departments were included in the analysis. The malnutrition rate was 11.6% and the incidence of nutritional risk was 17.8%. It was analyzed that tumor load, end-stage disease, motility, self-rated health, types of oral medicine, and food intake during the past week were independent risk factors for malnutrition or nutritional risk. 56.2% (118/210) of patients at nutritional risk or malnutrition received extra nutritional support, whereas 22.5% (88/391) well-nourished patients did. Moreover, nutrition status, ever stayed in ICU and self-rated health were associated with prolonged length of stay.In a word, the prevalence of malnutrition or nutritional risk was about 29.4%. Patients with malnutrition or nutritional risk had a higher transfer rate, lower rehabilitation rate and longer hospital stays. The attention to malnutrition patients needs to be further strengthened.

To estimate the minimum iodine concentrations detectable in simulated vessels of various diameters for both subtraction computed tomography (CT) and dual-energy CT systems.Fillable tubes (diameters: 1, 3, and 5 mm) were filled with a variety of iodine concentrations (range: 0-20 mg/ml), placed in the center of 28-mm cylindrical rods and surrounded with water. Rods with and without fillable tubes were placed in a 20-cm cylindrical solid-water phantom to simulate administration of iodine in blood vessels. The phantom was scanned with clinical subtraction CT (SCT) and dual-energy CT (DECT) head protocols to assess the detection of minimum iodine concentrations in both systems. The SCT and DECT images were evaluated quantitatively with a MATLAB script to extract regions of interest (ROIs) of each simulated vessel. ROI measurements were used to calculate the limit of detectability (LOD) and signal-to-noise ratio of Rose criteria for the assessment of the contrast thresholds.Both SNRIn this phantom study, SCT showed the capability to detect lower iodine concentrations compared to DECT. Contrast thresholds varied for vessels of different diameters and the smaller vessels required a higher iodine concentration for detection. Based on this knowledge, radiologists can modify their protocols to increase contrast enhancement.

Internet of Things (IoT) technology can benefit automated production, agriculture, intelligent autonomous driving, and many other industries by using billions of smart devices. As a good example, intelligent IoT and 5G are the main source of information acquisition and play an important role in the multiobjective optimization process of the supply chain. This paper develops an optimal management and coordination method to improve the performance of cross-border e-commerce supply chain by using IoT tracking technique and multiobjective decision-making. The numerical results justify that our proposed scheme has high internal consistency, with the Cronbach’s alpha factor of each dimension of the optimized decision model all greater than 80%.

The CRISPR/Cas system is widely used for molecular diagnostics after the discovery of trans-cleavage activity, especially now with the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the majority of contemporary trans-cleavage activity-based CRISPR/Cas biosensors exploited standard single-strand DNA (ssDNA) reporters, which were based on the FRET principle from pioneering research. An in-depth comparison and understanding of various fluorescent readout types are essential to facilitate the outstanding analytical performance of CRISPR probes. We investigated various types of fluorescent reporters of Cas12a comprehensively. Results show that trans-cleavage of Cas12a is not limited to ssDNA and dsDNA reporters, but can be extended to molecular beacons (MB). And MB reporters can achieve superior analytical performance compared with ssDNA and ds DNA reporters at the same conditions. Accordingly, we developed a highly-sensitive SARS-CoV-2 detection with the sensitivity as low as 100 fM were successfully achieved without amplification strategy. The model target of ORF1a could robustly identify the current widespread emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants. A real coronavirus GX/P2V instead of SARS-CoV-2 were chosen for practical application validation. And a minimum of 27 copies/mL was achieved successfully. This inspiration can also be applied to other Cas proteins with trans-cleavage activity, which provides new perspectives for simple, highly-sensitive and universal molecular diagnosis in various applications.

Background: Gut microbes play a prominent role in many aspects of human health, as seen through the increasing number of related studies. The accumulation of intestinal flora-related studies enables us to better understand the various relationships between human gut microbes and other factors that affect the human body. However, the existing database does not meet the requirements of browsing or retrieving the latest and most comprehensive published data for scientists. Thus, a knowledge base containing the data related to gut microbes and updates occurring in real-time is in great demand.Results: We present a knowledge base of consistently curated relationships between human gut microbes and disease, phenotype, external influence, etc. By continuously and automatically collecting papers published in mainstream journals and using deep learning and NLP methods for entity relationship identification, GDReBase has now integrated data from 86,848 papers, a figure that will continue to grow.Conclusion: GDReBase is a convenient and comprehensive resource for gut microbiology research and can be accessed free of charge at http://122.112.175.241.

Microplastics (MPs) and heavy metals are ubiquitous pollutants in the aquatic environment. In this study, the sorption behavior of two typical MPs (PVC and PE) to bivalent zinc ions (Zn(II)) and their combined toxic effects on Chlorella vulgaris were systemically studied. The growth inhibition rate, the activities of photosynthesis and antioxidant enzymes (SOD and CAT), the cell membrane integrity and the cell apoptosis rate were employed to evaluate the toxicity. Our result showed that PVC and PE have different adsorption capacities for Zn(II), and the combined exposure to Zn(II) and MPs had distinct patterns on the inhibition of the cell growth and induction of oxidative stress. Under our experimental concentrations, PE and Zn(II) showed a synergistic effect, while PVC and Zn(II) exhibited an antagonistic effect. Finally, an action mechanism was proposed to explain the experimental phenomena. This study demonstrated that flow cytometry can be a powerful tool to study the toxic effect of MP composites, and MPs can not only allow a free ride for the water contaminants, but also remarkably alter their toxic effects on phytoplankton. These effects deserve further consideration during evaluation of ecological risks of MPs in the water environment.

Substrate concentrations greatly influence bacterial growth and metabolism. However, optimal nitrogen concentrations for anammox bacteria in nitrogen-limited environments remain unclear. Here, we observed enhanced nitrogen metabolism and anabolism of anammox bacteria at low nitrogen conditions. Efficient nitrogen removal was achieved at ammonium and nitrite influent concentration of 30 mg/L under HRT of 1 hr, with an average nitrogen removal rate (NRR) of 0.73 kg N/(m3 ·day) in I-ABR composed of four compartments. The highest anammox activity of 6.25 mmol N/ (gVSS·hr) was observed in the fourth compartment (C4) with the lowest substrate levels (ammonium and nitrite of 11.6 mg/L and 7 mg/L). This could be resulted from the highest expression level of genes involved in nitrogen metabolism in C4, which was 1.49-1.67 times higher than that in other compartments. Besides, the second compartment (C2) exhibited the most active anabolism at ammonium and nitrite of 17 mg/L and 13 mg/L, respectively, which contributed to the most active amino acid synthesis and thus the highest EPS (1.35 times higher) in C2. This enhanced amino acid auxotrophy between anammox bacteria with heterotrophs, and consequently, heterotrophs thrived and competed for nitrite. These results hint at the potential application of anammox process in micro-polluted water. PRACTITIONER POINTS: High nitrogen removal and efficient biomass retention at low nitrogen concentrations under short HRT was achieved in I-ABR. Optimal concentrations for anammox nitrogen removal and anabolism were discussed under low nitrogen concentrations. More active anabolism contributed to enhanced amino acid synthesis and thus higher EPS contents. Low substrate levels led to enhanced expression of genes involved in nitrogen metabolism and thus high anammox activity.

Smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method is a Lagrangian particle method that has been widely used for solving complex mechanics problems. To reduce the SPH computational cost, the adaptive SPH (ASPH) with time-varying particle distribution has been proposed using the particle splitting and merging techniques. However, the particle splitting in the adaptive SPH results in a decreased time step due to the reduced particle spacing and thus requires an increased amount of computing time. In the present work, an explicit Runge-Kutta Chebyshev time stepping scheme is implemented within the adaptive SPH, by including the stabilizing substeps into the Runge-Kutta integration method with the use of the Chebyshev polynomials. The number of stabilizing substeps in a single SPH time step can be adaptive after particle splitting while the Runge-Kutta integration time step remains the same. Therefore, the proposed SPH algorithm is adaptive in both time and space domains. Representative example problems are simulated using the developed time-space adaptive SPH method. It is demonstrated that, as compared to the standard SPH and the conventional adaptive SPH with varying particle distribution only, the presented time-space ASPH method exhibits much higher efficiency without compromising accuracy and the superiority in terms of stability.

Background Delayed meconium evacuation is an important cause of intestinal dysfunction in preterm infants. There are many methods to induce defecation in preterm infants: however, the effects are controversial. Finding a new intervention method to promote meconium evacuation in premature infants is necessary. Therefore, in the proposed study, the effectiveness of breast milk enema on complete meconium evacuation and time to achieve full enteral feeding will be investigated in preterm infants. Methods/design The study is a randomized, open-label, parallel-group, and single-center clinical trial. A total of 294 preterm infants will be recruited and stratified based on gestational age. Then, the infants will be assigned in a randomized block design to the intervention and control groups with a 1:1 ratio. Preterm infants in the control and intervention groups will receive saline enema and breast milk enema, respectively. The primary outcomes will be the time to achieve complete meconium evacuation from birth and time to achieve full enteral feeding from birth in preterm infants. The secondary outcomes will include hospitalization days, body weight at discharge, duration of total parenteral nutrition, cholestasis, and adverse events. Discussion The results of this trial will determine whether breast milk enema shortens the time to complete meconium evacuation and the time to achieve full enteral feeding in extremely preterm and preterm infants. Furthermore, the study results may provide a new, safe, inexpensive, and easy-to-use intervention to effectively evacuate meconium in preterm infants. There has been no evidence on the effects of birth season and birth month on mortality in China. We aimed to explore the association between birth season, birth month and all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD) death. A population-based sample of 21,338 Chinese rural participants aged ≥35 years at baseline was included in our analysis. Age and multivariable adjusted Cox proportional hazards models were used to estimate hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) for the relationship between astronomical birth season (autumn as the reference), birth month (November as the reference), and all-cause and CVD mortality. During a median follow-up period of 11.9 years, 2,207 people died from all-cause and 1,214 people were attributed to CVD death. In multivariable adjusted analyses, for all-cause death, spring and winter had HRs (95% CIs) of 1.134 (1.005–1.280) and 1.162 (1.038–1.301), respectively; January, March, May, and August had HRs (95% CIs) of 1.249 (1.027–1.518), 1.234 (1.008–1.512), 1.276 (1.037–1.571), and 1.232 (1.003–1.513), respectively.
