To investigate the effect and related mechanisms of miR-485-5p on the osteogenic differentiation of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs).The expression level of miR-485-5p was detected in clinical cases and during the osteogenic differentiation. Three group were established to study the potential function between miR-485-5p and osteogenic differentiation: miR-NC group (negative control), miR-485-5p mimics (BMSCs transfected by miR-485-5p mimics), and mimics + si-Osx (BMSCs transfected by miR-485-5p mimics and si-Osx), after the induction of osteogenic differentiation, the cell viability of BMSCs and osteogenic markers were determined.In our work, miR-485-5p was found up-regulated in patients with osteoporosis by comparing with health cases. Besides, during osteogenic differentiation, miR-485-5p was suppressed. These results suggest miR-485-5p has a negative regulating effect. To research potential target of miR-485-5p, we checked it in three publicly available algorithms, TargetScan, miRDB and microRNA. We found that Osterix (Osx) is a direct target of miR-485-5p, and Luciferase assays confirmed our hypothesis, the subsequent experiments showed that decreased expression of Osx resulting from the up-regulation of miR-485-5p could restrain the cell viability and the expression level of osteogenic markers CONCLUSIONS: Our research revealed the promote function of miR-485-5p on osteoporosis, indicating that miR-485-5p could be a potential therapeutic strategy for the treatment of osteoporosis.

Oncogenic Kras with loss of heterozygosity (LOH) is frequently detected in various tumours. However, the exact function and mechanism by which KrasG12D-LOH operates remain unclear. Therefore, the current study investigated the effect of KrasG12D-LOH on the malignant phenotype of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cells. Our investigation revealed that KrasG12D-LOH is associated with increased proliferation, invasion and reduced apoptosis in PDAC cells. The results also exhibited enhanced glycolytic phenotype of KrasG12D-LOH PDAC cells. Hyperactive mTOR plays a significant role in the initiation and maintenance of tumors. To investigate the correlation between KrasG12D-LOH and mTOR, the mTOR signaling pathway was detected by western blot analysis. We found that KrasG12D-LOH up-regulated Akt, AMPK, REDD1 and mTOR in PDAC cells. In summary, our results demonstrated that KrasG12D-LOH promotes oncogenic Kras-induced PDAC by regulating energy metabolism and mTOR signaling pathway. These data may provide novel therapeutic perspectives for PDAC.

Objective To explore the applied value of mismatch negative （MMN） in evaluation of severity of mental disorders due to traumatic brain injury. Methods Thirty-five patients（case group） that conform to the diagnostic criteria of organic （traumatic brain injury） mental disorder in ICD-10 Classification of Mental and Behavioural Disorders criteria were selected. Twenty-four healthy subjects （normal control group） that matched the case group in terms of gender, age composition ratio and educational level were selected. All subjects were evaluated by Activity of Daily Living Scale （ADL） and Social Disability Screening Schedule （SDSS） and then examined by Event-Related Potential （ERP）. A statistical analysis of the data was made by SPSS 22.0 software. Results The 32 patients and 24 normal control subjects completed the study. 'Yunre-5007' is a new mango cultivar which is selected from seedling variation of cultivar 'Hongxiangya'. The tree vigor is medium. The fruit shape is elliptic, the average single fruit weight is 414.8 g, the base colour of peel is yellow green, the cover colour of peel is pink when maturing, and the flesh colour is golden yellow. Its edible rate is 82.2%, total soluble solid content is 13.4%, total sugar content is 17.3%, and vitamin C content is 0.149 mg g(‑1). The quality is good, like juicy, sweet, medium fibre, stable and high yield, and suitable for processing.

'Yunre-5006' is a new mango cultivar which is selected from seedling variation of cultivar 'Sannianmang'. The fruit shape of 'Yunre-5006' is elliptic, the single fruit weight is 384.8 g, and the mature period is in late June in Yunnan province. It has a yellow peel, golden yellow flesh and a unique aroma. Its edible rate is 84.98%, total soluble solid content is 15.74%, total sugar content is 13.09%, and the vitamin C content is 0.093 mg g‑1. It was evaluated as a good cultivar with high yield, and strong adaptability and resistance.

The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) updated and published the Practice Guidance for the Diagnosis and Management of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) in July 2017, which provides recommendations for the accurate diagnosis, treatment, and effective prevention of NAFLD. Related metabolic diseases should be considered during the initial evaluation of patients suspected of NAFLD. Noninvasive diagnostic techniques including transient elastography, magnetic resonance elastography, and serum biochemical models should be used to evaluate the development and progression of liver fibrosis in patients with NAFLD. Clinical liver pathology report should clearly differentiate between nonalcoholic fatty liver (NAFL), NAFL with inflammation, and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and identify the presence or absence of liver fibrosis and its degree. Early medication for NAFLD can only be used in patients with pathologically confirmed NASH and liver fibrosis, and it is not recommended to use pioglitazone and vitamin E as the first-line drugs for patients with NASH which has not been proven by biopsy or non-diabetic NASH patients. Foregut bariatric surgery can be considered for obese patients with NAFLD/NASH who meet related indications. It is emphasized that the risk factors for cardiovascular disease should be eliminated for NAFLD patients. Statins can be used for the treatment of dyslipidemia in patients with NAFLD/NASH, but they cannot be used in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis. Routine screening or hepatocellular carcinoma surveillance is not recommended for NASH patients without liver cirrhosis. Cardiovascular disease should be taken seriously during liver transplantation evaluation. A sub-population of chemoresistant cells exhibits biological properties similar to cancer stem cells (CSCs), and these cells are believed to be a main cause for tumor relapse and metastasis. In our study, we explored the role of SOX8 and its molecular mechanism in the regulation of the stemness properties and the epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) of cisplatin-resistant tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) cells. We found that SOX8 was upregulated in cisplatin-resistant TSCC cells, which displayed CSC-like properties and exhibited EMT. SOX8 was also overexpressed in chemoresistant patients with TSCC and was associated with higher lymph node metastasis, advanced tumor stage and shorter overall survival. Stable knockdown of SOX8 in cisplatin-resistant TSCC cells inhibited chemoresistance, tumorsphere formation, and EMT. The Wnt/β-catenin pathway mediated the cancer stem-like properties in cisplatin-resistant TSCC cells. Further studies showed that the transfection of active β-catenin in SOX8 stable-knockdown cells partly rescued the SOX8 silencing-induced repression of stem-like features and chemoresistance. Through chromatin immunoprecipitation and luciferase assays, we observed that SOX8 bound to the promoter region of Frizzled-7 (FZD7) and induced the FZD7-mediated activation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. In summary, SOX8 confers chemoresistance and stemness properties and mediates EMT processes in chemoresistant TSCC via the FZD7-mediated Wnt/β-catenin pathway.

This paper proposes a robust H∞ controller based on Multi-objective genetic algorithms (MOGAs) to control the active magnetic bearings (AMBs) with application to superfluid helium cryogenic centrifugal compressor (CCC). Basic weighting function formulas with seven parameters in all are suggested for H∞ controller, whose physical connections with system performance are clearly explained. Weighting function parameters are defined in a relatively narrow range according to actual operating feature of AMB systems. Then, based on these priori information, such as search-domain and weights expression, tuning and optimizing of the design performance function is carried out applying a MOGA. The control strategy avoids time consuming task in the progress of tuning parameters and provides a complete and versatile method to obtain weighting functions for a H∞ controller. Simulation results demonstrate that the optimized H∞ controller guarantees AMB system better closed-loop behavior performance while retaining low value of control signals.

To investigate the incidence rate and risk factors of acute kidney injury (AKI) after off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG),and to compare the effects of AKI on complications after operation and major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) after 3 years' follow-up.In the study, 299 consecutive patients who underwent scheduled off-pump CABG from January 2010 to March 2012 were included. The patients were divided into AKI group with AKI and control group without AKI after operation. The data during perioperative stage were compared, and multivariable Logistic regression modeling was used to identify the risk factors of AKI. The complications were compared after surgery and the patients were followed up for 3 years to observe the difference of MACCE between the two groups.AKI occurred in 37.1% patients (111/299). The elevated serum creatinine levels(Wald=9.276, P=0.002, 95%CI 1.006-1.028), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) (Wald=3.469,P=0.063,95% CI 0.950-7.630), decreased left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)(Wald=4.414,P=0.036,95% CI 0.965-0.999),and implantation of intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) before or after operation(Wald=6.745, P=0.009, 95% CI 1.336-7.925)were risk factors of AKI in multivariable logistic regression modeling. More complications occurred in AKI group, such as the duration of mechanic ventilation, the time of ICU and the length of stay post operation, reintubation, pulmonary infection, stroke, hemorrhage of digestive tract, the volume of blood transfusion (plasma and red blood cell) and renal replacement therapy(P0.05). The difference of mortality rate had no statistical significance between the AKI group and the control group, but two patients died in the AKI group. The difference of MACCE between the two groups had no statistical significance after 3 years' follow-up either.The incidence of AKI was high (37.1%) after off-pump CABG. The elevated serum creatinine levels, COPD, decreased LVEF,and implantation IABP before or after operation were independent risk factors of AKI in multivariable Logistic regression modeling. More complications occurred in AKI group during perioperative period, but the difference of MACCE between the two groups after 3 years' follow-up had no statistical significance.

The extent to which the free-vaccine policy impacts the initiation and completion of a hepatitis B vaccine series is poorly understood. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of the free-vaccine policy on hepatitis B vaccination. A provincial survey was conducted in 2006 in Fujian Province, south-east of China, where the free-vaccine policy for hepatitis B was announced in 2002 and implemented in 2003. A total of 1628 children were investigated, and 1443 (88.6%) were included in this analysis. Among the children studied, 55.2% were vaccinated within 24 h of birth, and 76.1% completed the hepatitis B vaccine series on time. The rate of hepatitis B surface antibody positivity increased from 29.9% among children born in 1992 to 90.5% among children born in 2005, while the corresponding HBV infection rate decreased from 30.4% to 1.72%. Logistic regression indicated that, compared to children born between 1996 and 2001, the odds ratios (ORs) for timely initiation were 2.57 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.71-3.84), 5.24 (95% CI, 3.26-8.43) and 9.06 (95% CI, 4.48-18.34) among children born in 2003, 2004 and 2005, respectively; the corresponding ORs for completing the vaccine series were 4.23 (95% CI, 1.97-9.10), 3.76 (95% CI, 1.81-7.82) and 4.94 (95% CI, 1.74-14.00) among children born in 2003, 2004 and 2005, respectively. Children with delayed vaccine initiation (>24 h after birth) were less likely to complete the vaccine series than those who received a timely first dose (OR = 0.02, 95% CI, 0.005-0.09). The impact of the free-vaccine policy on vaccine initiation and vaccine series completion did not differ by children's residence area (rural vs urban). As hypothesized, the odds of completing the vaccine series increased after the free-vaccine policy was announced in 2002 among children with delayed initiation (>24 h after birth) but not among those with timely initiation (≤ 24 h after birth). In conclusion, the free-vaccine policy significantly improved the timely initiation and completion of the vaccine series. The impact of this policy on completion of the vaccine series was larger among children with delayed vaccine initiation.

Cold compressor rotor works in complex thermal filed, which endures huge temperature differences from room temperature to low-temperature. To study the effect of thermal field on deformation and dynamics of cold compressor rotor, a thermo-mechanical-dynamic coupling analysis is carried out by finite element software ANSYS. Firstly, a thermal analysis on the entire compressor is carried out by CFX and the temperature distribution is obtained. Secondly, a static structural analysis considering thermal loads and contact effect is performed. The thermal stress and deformation are obtained. Finally, a pre-stress modal analysis in working thermal field is carried out. The results show that: The axial distance between blade tip and thrust disc reduces by 117.41 μm. The first two natural frequencies of the cold compressor rotor have a slight improvement by less than 2.16% and higher order natural frequency is more sensitive to thermal effect.

To investigate the threshold effects of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) and soil mass water content (MWC) on photosynthetic efficiency parameters of Ziziphus jujuba Mill var. spinosa and to understand the adaptability of Z.jujuba to light and soil moisture variation, we determined optimal MWC and PAR for Z. jujuba which maintained higher net photosynthetic rate (P-N) and water use efficiency (WUE). Using a Li-6400 portable photosynthesis system, we measured light response of P-N, transpiration rate (E), WUE, and other gas-exchange parameters of 3-year-old Z. jujuba shrubs in a range of soil moisture conditions. The results showed that the leaf photosynthetic rate and WUE of Z. jujuba had a significant response to MWC and PAR. Given increases in the MWC (7.1-17.6%), the plant's light compensation point decreased and its light saturation point (LSP), apparent quantum yield, and maximum P-N increased. When MWC was at 17.6%, the low and high light use efficiency of Z. jujuba was all maximal. P-N obviously increased with increasing MWC (9.2-17.6%). However, P-N decreased when MWC was too high or low. When PAR ranged from 800 to 1200molm(-2)s(-1), P-N and WUE were higher and the LSPs of P-N and WUE ranged between 706 and 1209molm(-2)s(-1). These data indicate that Z. jujuba possessed higher adaptability to light conditions. Based on photosynthetic efficiency parameters, the soil moisture availability and productivity of Z. jujuba were classified and evaluated. For Z. jujuba woodland, MWC 21.5% resulted in low productivity and medium WUE, 19.8-21.5% of MWC resulted in medium productivity and low WUE, 9.2-11.2% of MWC resulted in medium productivity and medium WUE, and 11.2-19.8% of MWC resulted in high productivity and high WUE. The optimum high productivity and high WUE of MWC were at 17.6%, and the corresponding optimum PAR was 1209molm(-2)s(-1).

To explore the difference of eye movement characteristics between uncooperative and cooperative subjects with mental disorder after cerebral trauma.Thirty-nine subjects which needed psychiatric impairment assessment were selected. According to the binomial forced-choice digit memory test （BFDMT）, all subjects were divided into cooperative and uncooperative groups. The subjects were asked to take the image completion test from Wechsler adult intelligence scale. Meanwhile, the data of eye movement track, fixation, saccade, pupil and blink were recorded by the track system of eye movement.There were significantly differences （Eye movement can be an objective index for the primary judgment of cooperation level.

In order to predict the durability of engineering components and improve performance, it is mandatory to understand residual stresses. The last decade has witnessed a significant increase of residual stress evaluation using diffraction of penetrating radiation, such as neutrons or high energy X‐rays. They provide a powerful non‐destructive method for determining the level of residual stresses in engineering components through precise characterisation of interplanar crystal lattice spacing. The unique non‐destructive nature of these measurement techniques is particularly beneficial in the context of engineering design, since it allows the evaluation of a variety of structural and deformational parameters inside real components without material removal, or at worst with minimal interference. However, while most real engineering components have complex shape and are often large in size, leading to measurement and interpretation difficulties, since experimental facilities usually have limited space for mounting the sample, limited sample travel range, limited loading capacity of the sample positioning system, etc. Consequently, samples often have to be sectioned, requiring appropriate corrections on measured data; or facilities must be improved. Our research group has contributed to the development of engineering applications of high‐energy X‐ray diffraction methods for residual stress evaluation, both at synchrotron sources and in the lab setting, including multiple detector setup, large engineering component manipulation and measurement at the UK Synchrotron Radiation Source (SRS Daresbury), and in our lab at Oxford. To investigate the drug tolerance and PFGE patterns of Salmonella(S.)paratyphi A strains isolated from sentinel hospitals in Dengfeng, Henan province, during 2009-2015.Venous blood samples were collected from paratyphoid patients and cultured in double phase blood culture bottle. Suspicious strains were identified and used for Salomonella. O antigen and H1/2 phase flagellum-induced serum agglutination test with API20E biochemical systems and SSI Salmonella typing sera. According to Salmonella molecular typing and K-B drug susceptibility testing method published by PulseNet China bacterial infectious disease monitoring network and USA Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute, we analyzed the drug susceptibility and PFGE molecule characteristics of S. paratyphi A strains isolated from the patients.A total of 126 strains of S. paratyphi A were isolated from 248 blood samples, the antigen modes of them were 1, 2, 12:a:-. The resistance rate of 126 strains of S. paratyphi A was 83.3% to ampicillin; 29.4% to ceftazidime, 31.2% to cefotaxime, 17.5% to cefepime; 62.6% to nalidixic acid; 19.3% to ciprofloxacin, 26.4% to norfloxacin; 22.8% to gentamicin, 47.9% to streptomycin; 19.2% to chloramphenicol, 24.2% to methicillin benzyl ammonium, 58.6% to compound sulfamethoxazole and 46.7% to tetracycline. The 126 strains of S. paratyphi A had different levels of resistance to 8 kinds of antibiotics, 109 strains were multidrug resistant(86.5%), 9 strains were resistant to 2-3 kinds of antibiotics(7.1%), 76 strains were resistant to 5-8 kinds of antibiotics(60.3%), 17 strains were resistant to 9-10 kinds of antibiotics(13.5%), 7 strains were resistant to 11-12 kinds of antibiotics(5.6%). The 126 strains of S. paratyphi A were divided into 14 molecular patterns by digestion with XbaⅠand pulsed field gel electrophoresis. The antibiotics resistance to third generation cephalosporin(CAZ, CTX), one generation and three generation of quinolones(NAL, CIP, NOR)and aminoglycosides antibiotics(STR)showed an upward trend. Each pattern contained 1-98 strains with similarity ranged from 64.10% to 100.00%. PTYA 1, 6, 9 and 10 were the main PFGE belt types.The drug resistance of clinical isolates of S. paratyphi A was serious in Dengfeng, Henan province, PFGE patterns showed a diversity, but predominant patterns could also be found. The PFGE patterns of some strains had clustering and were related with their antidrug spectrums.

To investigate the imaging features of uterine leiomyomas with different pathological subtypes on DWI.Clinical records and MR images of pathologically confirmed uterine leiomyomas were retrospectively collected from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from June 2012 to April 2015. A total of 60 uterine leiomyomas were found and evaluated.All the patients were divided into three groups according to different pathological types, which included 17 cases of cellular leiomyomas, 10 cases of degenerated leiomyomas and 33 cases of ordinary leiomyomas.The DWI signal and ADC values in cellular portion of the lesions and adjacent normal myometrium (the control group) were measured.(1) Most cellular leiomyomas showed hyperintensity on DWI (15/17), while degenerated leiomyomas manifested hypointensity, isointensity or hyperintensity signal on DWI, and most ordinary leiomyomas displayed isointensity signal on DWI (57.6%, 19/33). (2) The ADC values of cellular leiomyomas, degenerated leiomyomas and ordinary leiomyomas were (1.01±0.14)×10(-3) mm(2)/s, (1.73±0.49)×10(-3) mm(2)/s and (1.38±0.22)×10(-3) mm(2)/s respectively.The ADC values of adjacent normal myometrium (the control group) were (1.35±0.16)×10(-3) mm(2)/s.There were no significant statistical differences in the ADC values between ordinary leiomyomas and adjacent normal myometrium (P=0.623). There were significant statistical differences in the ADC values among other groups(all P0.05). (3)The ROC curve showed that the diagnostic threshold for cellular leiomyomas was 1.11×10(-3) mm(2)/s, the sensitivity and specificity were 88.2%and 93.0% respectively.The signal intensity on DWI and the ADC values are different in uterine leiomyomas with different pathological subtypes.Combination of these two parameters in clinical practice may be helpful to reflect the histopathological characteristics of uterine leiomyomas.
