Damp heat test was performed on soda-lime glass to characterise functional properties of glass in photovoltaic applications and define the ageing mechanism. In addition to the optical property measurements, SEM-EDX, XPS and FTIR analyses were carried out. The damp heat exposed samples presented an increased transmittance in UV, visible and near-IR ranges namely within (1900–2100 nm). The results were explained by hydration of glass network with heat. An ageing mechanism based on glass corrosion theories is discussed. Molecular water adsorption involves a leaching process of network modifier cations and especially sodium ions. Hydrolysis also occurs in silica network by reacting free molecular water. This phenomenon enhances concentration of hydroxyl groups in glass highlighted by FTIR measurements and promotes formation of silanol groups. A tin side dependence on sodium leaching which acts as a passivating barrier for ionic transport is highlighted which may be taken into consideration for photovoltaic module design. Ductal carcinoma in situ of the breast is associated with low mortality rates, but local relapse is a matter of concern in this disease. Risk factors for local relapse include young age, close or positive margins, and tumor necrosis. Whole breast irradiation following breast-conserving surgery for ductal carcinoma in situ significantly reduces the risk of local relapse as compared to breast-conserving surgery alone. Studies point to similar outcomes between breast-conserving surgery plus radiotherapy and mastectomy, in the absence of extensive disease. A complementary boost to the surgical bed improves outcomes for patients with invasive breast cancer. However, the effect of this strategy has never been prospectively reported for ductal carcinoma in situ. Two randomized controlled trials assessing this issue are ongoing. Nowadays, thermoelectric materials are the subject of huge number of research dealing with energy conversion optimization. Herein, we report the study of thermoelectric performance improvement of three different ternary hybrid composite-based polythiophene, poly(3,4-ethylene-dioxythiophene)/poly(4-styrenesulfonate) and both of graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide and aryl diazonium salt functionalized graphene oxide (FGO). Structural and morphological characterization of the as-prepared materials was carried out by using FTIR, Raman spectroscopy and SEM. Thermoelectric characteristics were determined through the measurement of figure of merit ZT and the electrical conductivity as well as the Seebeck coefficient at room temperature of 298.15 K. Hybrid composite based on functionalized graphene oxide (PTh-FGO-PEDOT:PSS) has shown the most significant improvement over polythiophene alone, marking an enhancement of 71 times in terms of electrical conductivity and 3 times in terms of Seebeck coefficient, resulting in very large ZT coefficient value within magnitude of 2.3 × 105, which highlights the great apport of using aryl diazonium salts in surface modification of graphene oxide. Background: Magnetic resonance-guided radiotherapy (MRgRT) utilization is rapidly expanding, driven by advanced capabilities including better soft tissue imaging, continuous intrafraction target visualization, automatic triggered beam delivery, and the availability of on-table adaptive replanning. Our objective was to describe patterns of 0.35 Tesla (T)-MRgRT utilization in Europe and Asia among early adopters of this novel technology.Methods: Anonymized administrative data from all 0.35T-MRgRT treatment systems in Europe and Asia were extracted for patients who completed treatment from 2015 to 2020. Detailed treatment information was analyzed for all MR-linear accelerators (linac) and -cobalt systems.Results: From 2015 through the end of 2020, there were 5796 completed treatment courses delivered in 46,389 individual fractions. 23.5% of fractions were adapted. Ultra-hypofractionated (UHfx) dose schedules (1-5 fractions) were delivered for 63.5% of courses, with 57.8% of UHfx fractions adapted on-table. The most commonly treated tumor types were prostate (23.5%), liver (14.5%), lung (12.3%), pancreas (11.2%), and breast (8.0%), with increasing compound annual growth rates (CAGRs) in numbers of courses from 2015 through 2020 (pancreas: 157.1%; prostate: 120.9%; lung: 136.0%; liver: 134.2%).Conclusions: This is the first comprehensive study reporting patterns of utilization among early adopters of a 0.35T-MRgRT system in Europe and Asia. Intrafraction MR image-guidance, advanced motion management, and increasing adoption of on-table adaptive RT have accelerated a transition to UHfx regimens. MRgRT has been predominantly used to treat tumors in the upper abdomen, pelvis and lungs, and increasingly with adaptive replanning, which is a radical departure from legacy radiotherapy practices. • Largest study to date of stereotactic Magnetic Resonance guided Radiotherapy (MRgRT) for primary liver tumors: 72 primary lesions treated. • Low toxicity rate: no RILD, no acute or late toxicities of CTCAE grade greater than 2 attributable to radiotherapy. • Excellent local control rate: 98.1% (95% CI: [87.4; 99.7]) and 94.7% (95% CI: [79.5; 98.7]) at 12 and 18 months, respectively. Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) has demonstrated safe and effective results for primary liver tumors. Magnetic Resonance guided Radiotherapy (MRgRT) is an innovative radiotherapy modality for abdominal tumors. The aim of this study is to report on acute and late toxicities and initial oncological results for primary liver tumors treated with MRgRT. We prospectively included in our cohort all patients treated by MRgRT for a primary liver tumor at the Montpellier Cancer Institute. The primary endpoint was acute and late toxicities assessed according to CTCAE v 5.0. The mean prescribed dose was 50 Gy in 5 fractions. Between October 2019 and April 2022, MRgRT treated 56 patients for 72 primary liver lesions. No acute or late toxicities of CTCAE grade greater than 2 attributable to radiotherapy were noted during follow-up. No cases of radiation-induced liver disease (RILD), either classical or non-classical, occurred. After a median follow-up of 13.2 months (95% CI [8.8; 15.7]), overall survival was 85.1% (95% CI: [70.8; 92.7]) at 1 year and 74.2% at 18 months (95% CI [52.6; 87.0]). Local control was 98.1% (95% CI: [87.4; 99.7]) and 94.7% (95% CI: [79.5; 98.7]) at 12 and 18 months, respectively. Among the HCC subgroup, no local recurrences were observed. MRgRT for primary liver tumors is safe without severe adverse events and reach excellent local control. Abstract Photovoltaic systems belong to the green energy dynamics which is an ambitious program based on energy efficiency and sustainable development. In this study, the impact of the aging of a photovoltaic module is investigated on the electrical performance of a grid-connected system. A photovoltaic conversion chain with MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) control and LC (Inductor-Capacitor) filter is modeled and dimensioned according to the grid constraints. A method of hybridation detection of the MPPT coupling long-time aging evolution and short-time determination is proposed. Aging laws for the electrical and optical degradations of the photovoltaic module are introduced for the long-time evolution. Results display the lowering of the maximal power point with a rate of 1%/year and a slight augmentation of the THD over time even though it remains inferior to the IEEE standard STD 19-1992 maximum value of 5% for a usage of 20 years. Moreover, an equivalent scheme for the additional electrical resistance engendered by the aging of the photovoltaic module regarding other resistances of the photovoltaic system is given. Finally, the elevation of this resistance by 12.8% in 20 years may have non-negligible consequences on the power production of a large-scale installation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

UV exposure test was performed on commercial unencapsulated monocrystalline silicon solar cells to characterize the changes in the functional properties and to define aging mechanisms. The UV exposed solar cells presented a significant decrease in electrical performances with a cell efficiency degradation of −11.23% after a UV exposure of about 200 kWh/m 2 . The degradation is mostly due to a V OC degradation of −6.24% and to a J SC drop of −3.16%. The FF is less affected by the UV aging. According to IQE curves, UV exposure affects charge collection efficiency at the front (blue response) but also at the rear of the cell (red and infrared responses) indicating a degradation of the emitter or of the quality of the anti-reflection and passivation coatings. The reflectance diminishes in the range [500–900] nm owing to a photo-oxidation of the SiN x antireflection coating and confirms the IQE analysis. The photo-oxidation of SiN x antireflection coating which involves replacing Si H by Si O or Si O H bonds is emphasized. The global kinetic of the efficiency change rate is similar for both the irradiance intensities. It consists of a high degradation at the start followed by a stabilization of the degradation for higher UV doses. For the higher irradiance intensity (2000 W/m 2 ), the start of a regeneration phenomenon was highlighted because of an augmented temperature allowing the neutralization of the recombination centers (B i O i defect). Trimodal therapy consisting of transurethral resection of bladder tumors followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy, has emerged as a valuable therapeutic alternative to radical cystectomy in patients with muscle invasive bladder cancer. Concomitant radiosensitising chemotherapy is a component of trimodality increasing locoregional control compared to radiotherapy alone. The combinations 5-fluorouracil with mitomycin or cisplatin are the best supported in the literature. Gemcitabine appears to be a feasible and promising alternative. There is considerable international heterogeneity in terms of dose, volumes and fractionation. The most commonly used regimens are moderately hypofractionated (55Gy in 20 fractions over 4 weeks) and normofractionated (64Gy in 32 fractions) regimens. Adaptive radiotherapy (ART) is a recent development in radiotherapy technology and treatment personalization that allows treatment to be tailored to the daily anatomical changes of patients. While it was until recently only performed "offline", i.e. between two radiotherapy sessions, it is now possible during ART to perform a daily online adaptive process for a given patient. Therefore, ART allows a daily customization to ensure optimal coverage of the treatment target volumes with minimized margins, taking into account only the uncertainties related to the adaptive process itself. This optimization appears particularly relevant in case of daily variations in the positioning of the target volume or of the organs at risk (OAR) associated with a proximity of these volumes and a tenuous therapeutic index. ART aims to minimize severe acute and late toxicity and allows tumor dose escalation. These new achievements have been possible thanks to technological development, the contribution of new multimodal and onboard imaging modalities and the integration of artificial intelligence tools for the contouring, planning and delivery of radiation therapy. Online ART is currently available on two types of radiotherapy machines: MR-linear accelerators and recently CBCT-linear accelerators. We will first describe the benefits, advantages, constraints and limitations of each of these two modalities, as well as the online adaptive process itself. We will then evaluate the clinical situations for which online adaptive radiotherapy is particularly indicated on MR- and CBCT-linear accelerators. The impact of curative radiotherapy mainly depends on the total dose delivered to the tumor. However, despite recent technological advances, the dose delivered to surrounding healthy tissues may reduce the therapeutic ratio of many radiation treatments. In the same population treated at one center with the same technique, individual radiosensitivity clearly exists, particularly in terms of late side effects that are, in principle, non-reversible. This article details the history of the radiation-induced lymphocyte apoptosis assay, from preclinical data to multicenter clinical trials. Background and Purpose: MR-guided radiotherapy adds the precision of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to the therapeutic benefits of a linear accelerator. Prior to each therapeutic session, an MRI generates a significant volume of imaging data ripe for analysis. Radiomics stands at the forefront of medical imaging and oncology research, dedicated to mining quantitative imaging attributes to forge predictive models. However, the robustness of these models is often challenged., Materials and Methods: To assess the robustness of feature extraction, we conducted reproducibility studies using a 0.35 T MR-linac system, employing both a specialized phantom and patient-derived images, focusing on cases of pancreatic cancer. We extracted shape-based, first-order and textural features from patient-derived images and only first-order and textural features from phantom-derived images. The impact of the delay between simulation and first fraction images was also assessed with an equivalence test., Results: From 107 features evaluated, 58 (54 %) were considered as non-reproducible: 18 were uniformly inconsistent across both phantom and patient images, 9 were specific to phantom-based analysis, and 31 to patient-derived data., Conclusion: Our findings show that a significant proportion of radiomic features extracted from this dual dataset were unreliable. Background: In case of locally advanced and/or non-metastatic unresectable esophageal cancer, definitive chemoradiotherapy (CRT) delivering 50 Gy in 25 daily fractions in combination with platinum-based regimen remains the standard of care resulting in a 2-year disease-free survival of 25% which deserves to be associated with new systemic strategies. In recent years, several immune checkpoint inhibitors (anti-PD1/anti-PD-L1, anti-Program-Death 1/anti-Program-Death ligand 1) have been approved for the treatment of various solid malignancies including metastatic esophageal cancer. As such, we hypothesized that the addition of an anti-PD-L1 to CRT would provide clinical benefit for patients with locally advanced oesophageal cancer. To assess the efficacy of the anti-PD-L1 durvalumab in combination with CRT and then as maintenance therapy we designed the randomized phase II ARION (Association of Radiochemotherapy with Immunotherapy in unresectable Oesophageal carciNoma- UCGI 33/PRODIGE 67)., Methods: ARION is a multicenter, open-label, randomized, comparative phase II trial. Patients are randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio in each arm with a stratification according to tumor stage, histology and centre. Experimental arm relies on CRT with 50 Gy in 25 daily fractions in combination with FOLFOX regimen administrated during and after radiotherapy every two weeks for a total of 6 cycles and durvalumab starting with CRT for a total of 12 infusions. Standard arm is CRT alone. Use of Intensity Modulated radiotherapy is mandatory. The primary endpoint is to increase progression-free survival at 12 months from 50 to 68% (HR = 0.55) (power 90%; one-sided alpha-risk, 10%). Progression will be defined with central external review of imaging., Ancillary Studies Are Planned: PD-L1 Combined Positivity Score on carcinoma cells and stromal immune cells of diagnostic biopsy specimen will be correlated to disease free survival. The study of gut microbiota will aim to determine if baseline intestinal bacteria correlates with tumor response. Liver stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) is a local treatment that provides good local control and low toxicity. We present the first clinical results from our prospective registry of stereotactic MR-guided radiotherapy (MRgRT) for liver metastases. All patients treated for liver metastases were included in this prospective registry study. Stereotactic MRgRT indication was confirmed by multidisciplinary specialized tumor boards. The primary endpoints were acute and late toxicities. The secondary endpoints were survival outcomes (local control, overall survival (OS), disease-free survival, intrahepatic relapse-free survival). Twenty-six consecutive patients were treated for thirty-one liver metastases between October 2019 and April 2022. The median prescribed dose was 50 Gy (40-60) in 5 fractions. No severe acute MRgRT-related toxicity was noted. Acute and late gastrointestinal and liver toxicities were low and mostly unrelated to MRgRT. Only 5 lesions (16.1%) required daily adaptation because of the proximity of organs at risk (OAR). With a median follow-up time of 17.3 months since MRgRT completion, the median OS, 1-year OS and 2-year OS rates were 21.7 months, 83.1% (95% CI: 55.3-94.4%) and 41.6% (95% CI: 13.5-68.1%), respectively, from MRgRT completion. The local control at 6 months, 1 year and 2 years was 90.9% (95% CI: 68.3-97.7%). To our knowledge, we report the largest series of stereotactic MRgRT for liver metastases. The treatment was well-tolerated and achieved a high LC rate. Distant relapse remains a challenge in this population.
