The main objective of this paper is to examine the effects of the education on personal and professional development models. In the knowledge-based economy, the emphasis on human capital development generates two parallel effects of the economic education: microeconomic and macroeconomic. The study is based on the use of the questioning technique (for a profound exploration of the ideas) and statistical methods to determine how an increase in an educational component affects the structure of the individual development plan, so in fact the interaction between various thinking modes. In this respect, this paper studies the correlation between the duration of the educational process and the results obtained by the students in the knowledge evaluation process. In the future, based on these studies, correlations can also be made between the time spent on studying and the professional and personal achievements.

A very effective method to evaluate the products is the Customer Matrix (CM) that uses two coordinates: Perceived Used Value (PUV) and Perceived Price. Our researches extend this basic concept by adding the time variable, creating CM with different time horizons that assures a better understanding of competitive environment. In the first stage, the Customer Matrix is associated with a forecast method. The relevance tree method was used to predict the most probable evolution paths of electrodischarge machines. In the second stage, the CM with different time horizons is constructed, considering products evaluation for short, medium and long time. Finally, a strategy is conceived for an organization that attempts to ameliorate and consolidate its long term position against the main competitors, aiming at obtaining sustainable competitive advantage.

The context of our research is based on the conclusion that simulation is used to describe and analyse the behavior of an existing or conceptual system. Electro discharge machining aided by ultrasonics EDM+US (as well as micro) is a complicated process that requires a powerfull tool to simulate. In this study we considered COMSOL multiphysics FEA software, using our own developed parametric model based on literature survey knowledge and our own previuos researches on subject. Some preliminary simulations results and conclusions are also presented.

The purpose of this paper is to describe the use of QGIS as tool for soil survey and mapping in Romanian methodological context and to analyze the efficiency of Open Source tools in this matter. Beginning with integrating data from various sources (GPS points, analog and digital maps, analytical soil data, etc), continuing with editing and spatial analysis and finishing with map production, we have used QGIS and it's add-ons in every stage of the soil survey and mapping process following, as much as possible, standard procedures specified by methodology. Also we have searched for optimal solution in order to solve specific problems that may occur such as the type of topology for digitization (when the surveyor need to create data from scratch), how to integrate various databases, specific queries, etc. In conclusion QGIS, with his vast array of tools, can successfully be used in soil survey and for map production according to standards required by Romanian methodology. It can be implemented also very easily with minimum effort both technical and financial.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the interaction between the technological and the social field. Growth and development require a continuous source of ideas. Their manufacture is efficient only by stimulating the creativity development in the knowledge economy. This essential skill will lead to making smart products and technologies improvements. This will also be the result of the interactions between the new IT-cloud technologies and other various factors, such as: knowledge, skills, approaches, attention, motivation and intellectual property.

After analyzing several practical aspects of relevant data gathering under disaster circumstances, realistic requirements for the search for data under disaster conditions are determined and an optimized algorithm is proposed for the search and collection of data on SNs satisfying the requirements. A system built for performing the search is presented and search results are illustrated and discussed. The key feature of the system is the processing of the collected posts in parallel with the collection process, for speeding up the discovery of relevant information.

Our study tests the usefulness of two statistical methods (linear and logistic regression), for spatial prediction of soil quantitative and qualitative parameters in uncharted areas, using the available data from neighbouring areas. Linear regression is used to map quantitative variables, such as soil reaction and occurrence depth of calcium carbonates, while logistic regression is tested for prediction of qualitative variables, such as the spatial occurrence probability of soil types (Chernozems and Preluvosols) and A mollic horizon. The explained variance for soil reaction and depth of calcium carbonates is 56% and 51% respectively, the regression models including the digital elevation model, wetness index, surface ratio and Y coordinate as predictors. The spatial occurrence probability of Chernozems, Preluvosols and A mollic horizon is computed on the basis of quantitative (digital elevation model, slope, mean annual temperature and precipitations) and qualitative (land use) predictors, the overall accuracy ranging from 69 to 90%. These preliminary results show that such methods are potentially useful for soil scientists, as they provide a first approximation of the spatial distribution of soil variables and may constitute an initial stage prior to traditional soil mapping.

The paper presents new methods of smart regional development, starting from a question and one answer: How do we go about building our local smart ecosystem? Make one step at a time. This step is achieved through a number of seven elements: the SMEs network, the relations between universities and the labour market, the efficient using of transport infrastructure, the interactions specific to the various forms of capital with accent on intangible assets, smart relocation, online and offline interactions in smart communities, the used of young staff as a source of creativity and innovation, oriented to smart specialization, leading to sustainable competitive advantage.

Left to themselves, markets may not generate sufficient levels of disclosure. Market forces would normally balance the marginal benefits and marginal costs of addi-tional information disclosure and the end result may not be what the market par-ticipants really need.

The study of the elements, chemical processes and soil morphology, related to archaeo-zoological analysis of fauna material taken from the archaeological site of Slava Rusă, provides important information for understanding the evolution of the settlement, taking into account the close relationship between natural deposits, which include soil, and cultural features of the site. Thus, the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of soil are important in this context, because environmental factors that led to the formation of distinct soil, leaving traces in the morphology, are the same factors that influenced the morphology and the evolution of inhabited areas. This approach is useful if the environmental conditions that have affected the settlement have not been changed significantly over time, and, at the Slava Rusă, data regarding soil conditions suggest bioclimatic stability for a very long time. The soils are poorly evolved, texture is not differentiated, and calcium carbonates are present in the soil to depths of 3-4 m. All these features confirm that the current climate of the region remained unchanged, from the Neolithic to the present, climate underwent only insignificant oscillations.

The paper deals with finite element modelling of micromachining CoCr alloys by ultrasonically aided electrical discharge machining. This hybrid machining process has two components: a thermal one due to EDM, and a mechanical one to ultrasonic assistance. Both components were modelled using Thermal and Structural Mechanics time dependent modules of Comsol Multiphysics. The results were compared with the experimental data obtained in our laboratories, proving a good agreement and offering some solutions for machining optimization.

The paper deals with researches of microtopography obtained at different working modes at ultrasonically aided micro-electrical discharge machining (μEDM+US) and pure micro-EDM, using both commanded and relaxation pulses. Images of machined surface taken with scanning electron microscope were analyzed in correlation with chemical composition of samples detected by X rays spectrometer. This led to some explanations of material removal mechanism, aiming at improvement of process modelling and performances increase of μEDM+US.

Starting from the role of new technologies in the development of engineering innovation, this paperwork has two main research directions with respect to creativity and innovation in engineering education. These are based on a combination of creative techniques with traditional engineering education methods. The first component of our research presented herein aims the use of creative methods such as Creative Training and Image Streaming, and the second component of the research statistically analyses the Social Media posts regarding the use of Cloud Computing technology as a support for innovation. The aim of combining such lines of research will lead to the emergence of specific knowledge needed to identify and implement new creative techniques in engineering human resources. Applying such creativity techniques within groups of students can result in innovative ideas usable in ongoing research projects, in certain deadlock situations on finding critical solutions to overcome blockages.

The security and integrity of data play an essential role in distributed environments. Due to the large number of independent components that must work together in order to distribute data processing, special emphasis must be placed on providing security applications, in order to prevent errors that could affect the integrity of the data, as well as the potential attacks that such distributed systems may be exposed. The NET Framework component, stands at the base of NET technology and is the last interface between NET applications and the operating system. In practice, both operating systems and computer networks on which NET platform is based on , contain inherent risks that can be vulnerable in case of inappropriate management. Even though in most instances, the security model .NET can eliminate in a transparent manner a number of errors at the level of the code. This one is not immune in case of wrong configured accounts or granting access rights to resources for some insecure systems.

The study presents the possibility to use the forward, backward and joint control strategies, for the knowledge basis, by an expert system inference motive. The practice showed that the expert system is able to emulate the judgment types used by the people (through analogy, formal and methodological). Due to the lack of the standardization in this field there are more tackling for the model of the expert system development process.
