Flower-like MoS2 and its composites with reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and graphitic carbon nitride (gC3N4) were prepared to study their suitability in environmental and energy applications. The materials were well characterized by standard techniques. Optical band gaps of all the materials were in the visible region, making them suitable for visible-light photocatalysis applications. The photocatalytic studies have demonstrated that rGO-MoS2 exhibits a much better photodegradation performance than other materials in the study towards methylene blue (MB) and rhodamine B (RhB) dye degradation. The degradation efficiencies of rGO-MoS2 were found to be 83% in 105 min for MB dye and 82% in just 30 min for RhB dye. Two-dimensional rGO sheets greatly improved the photocatalytic performance of the rGO-MoS2 nanocomposite due to the reduction in the electron–hole recombination rate. Electrochemical studies on the samples showed superior performance for rGO-MoS2 with the specific capacitance of 152 F/g at 35 mA/cm2 , having an energy density of 5.3 Wh/kg at a power density of 337 W/kg. The influence of plasma screening on the excitation energies and transition properties of He-like [Ni.sup.26+] ion under strongly coupled plasma background has been analyzed. To perform the analysis, the multi-configuration Dirac-Fock method has been adopted by incorporating the ion sphere model potential as a modified interaction potential between the electron and the nucleus. For comparison purposes, parallel calculations have been carried out using the modified relativistic configuration interaction method. It is found that the transition energies corresponding to principal quantum number conserving transitions ([delta]n = 0) are blue shifted, whereas they are redshifted for the transitions where the principal quantum number is not conserved ([delta]n [not equal to] 0). The variation of transition probabilities and weighted oscillator strengths with free electron densities has also been studied. The present results should be advantageous in the modeling and diagnostics of astrophysical and laboratory plasmas. Nous analysons l'influence de l'ecrantage de Debye sur les energies d'excitation et les proprietes de transition de l'ion [Ni.sup.26+] de type He sous fond de plasma fortement couple. Afin de completer cette etude, nous adoptons la methode de Dirac-Fock multi-configurations en incorporant le potentiel du modele de la sphere ionique (MSI/ISM) comme un potentiel d'interaction modifiee entre l'electron et le noyau. Pour fins de comparaison, des calculs sont faits en parallele en utilisant la methode modifiee d'interaction relativiste de configurations. Nous trouvons que les deplacements d'energie du plasma qui correspondent aux transitions conservant le nombre quantique principal ([delta]n = 0) se font vers le bleu, alors qu'elles vont vers le rouge si n n'est pas conserve ([delta]n [not equal to] 0). It is well documented that emotion regulation difficulties are linked with various forms of psychopathology including anxiety and depression but the literature is still inconclusive regarding whether emotion regulation difficulties are transdiagnostic or pathology-specific. We speculate that certain types of emotion regulation difficulties may be transdiagnostic while others may show specificity. The present study attempts to empirically validate this speculation and tries to explore the common (transdiagnostic) and unique domains of emotion regulation difficulties associated with psychometrically identified subclinical groups of anxious and anxious-depressed individuals. University and college students (N = 192) were assessed on self-report measures of emotion regulation difficulties, positive-negative affect, depression, and trait and free-floating anxiety and classified into anxious, anxious-depressed, and normal groups based on the results of cluster analysis. Both subclinical groups reported overall higher levels of emotion regulation difficulties than normals, with anxious-depressed group showing more difficulties than anxious group. While difficulty engaging in goal-directed behaviour, lack of emotional awareness and emotional clarity were common across anxious and anxious-depressed groups, the anxious-depressed group showed a unique profile of emotion regulation difficulties characterized by non-acceptance of emotional response, impulse control difficulties, and limited access to emotion regulation strategies. Findings of discriminant function analysis revealed that while anxious-depressed group was characterised by difficulties in regulating emotions, the anxious group presented difficulties in emotional insight. The pathogenesis of the inflammatory, chronic, and common skin disease psoriasis involves immune cells, skin cells (keratinocytes), and the cytokines they secrete. Hyperproliferation and abnormal differentiation of keratinocytes are hallmarks of the disease. The roles of cytokines such as TNFa, IL-15, IL-17, and IL-23 in psoriasis have been studied through mathematical/computational models as well as experiments. However, the role of proinflammatory cytokine IL-36 in the onset and progression of psoriasis is still elusive. To explore the role of IL-36, we construct a network embodying indirect cell-cell interactions of a few immune and skin cells mediated by IL-36 based on existing knowledge. We also develop a mathematical model for the network and perform a global sensitivity analysis. Our results suggest that the model is most sensitive to a parameter that represents the level of cytokine IL-36. In addition, a steady-state analysis of the model suggests that an increase in the level of IL-36 could lead to the hyperproliferation of keratinocytes and, thus, psoriasis. Our analysis also highlights that the plaque formation and progression of psoriasis could occur through either a gradual or a switch-like increase in the keratinocyte population. We propose that the switch-like increase would be due to a bistable behavior of the network toward either a psoriatic or healthy state and could be used as a novel treatment strategy. Background: The pod fly, Melanagromyza obtusa (Malloch) is one of the major biotic constraints in increasing production and productivity of pigeon pea crop throughout the country and it causes up to 100 per cent losses in field condition. Injudicious use of pesticides against this destructive pest, further ignites the problem of resistance, resurgence and environmental and ecological imbalances. Methods: Experiments were conducted at Banda University of Agricultural and Technology, Banda during kharif, 2020 and 2021. To estimate the bio-efficacy of insecticides for the management of M. obtusa in pigeon pea the experiment was laid out in randomized block design (RBD) with eight treatments and three replications. Pod and grain damage were assessed and C:B ratio was calculated. Result: First appearance of pod fly was noticed in third standard week. Throughout cropping period highest pod damage was recorded in eighth standard week and lowest pod damage was recorded in twelfth standard week. Emamectin benzoate 5 SG @ 11 g a.i./ha + Dimethoate 30 EC @ 300 g a.i./ha was the best treatment as it exhibited minimum pod damage and highest yield. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
