Thisstudy aimed to adapt the School Mindfulness Scale (M-Scale), developed by Hoy,Gage and Tarter (2004), into Turkish culture. A total of 215 teachers from 17primary and middle schools located in Ankara participated in the study. First,some statistical assumptions were checked in the M-Scale data set, thenvalidity and reliability studies were conducted. The construct validity of thescale was tested by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The CFA model validatedthe two-factor construct of the M-Scale. Within the reliability anditem-analysis measures, item-total correlations, split-half test reliability,Cronbach’s alpha, Guttman lambda, stratified alpha, Armor’s theta, McDonald’somega coefficients were calculated, and upper 27%-lower 27% group meandifferences were examined by independent groups t test. The M-Scale was found to have a moderate level of itemdiscrimination among its 14 items. The Crobach’s alpha value was calculated tobe .88 for the overall M-Scale, .83 for theteacher mindfulness factor, and .78 for theprincipal mindfulness factor. The construct validation and reliabilityanalyses indicated that the M-Scale appears to have adequate psychometricproperties, and a valid and reliable data collection tool in measuring schoolmindfulness construct within Turkish culture., Buaraştırmada, Hoy, Gage ve Tarter’ın (2004) geliştirdiği ‘Okul FarkındalığıÖlçeği-OFÖ’nün Türk kültürüne uyarlanması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya, Ankara’dabulunan 17 ilkokul ve ortaokulda görev yapmakta olan 215 öğretmen katılmıştır.OFÖ’ye ait veri seti çeşitli varsayımlar açısından incelendikten sonra geçerlikve güvenirlik çalışmaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliğidoğrulayıcı faktör analizi (DFA) ile test edilmiştir. DFA ile OFÖ’nün öğretmen farkındalığı ve müdür farkındalığından oluşan ikifaktörlü yapısı doğrulanmıştır. Ölçeğin güvenirlik ve madde analizi çalışmalarıkapsamında madde-toplam korelasyonları, iki-yarı test güvenirliği, Cronbachalfa, Guttman lambda, tabakalı alfa, Armor teta, McDonald omega ve alt %27-üst%27lik grup ortalama farkları incelenmiştir. OFÖ’de yer alan 14 maddenin maddeayırtediciliklerinin iyi düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ölçeğin tamamınailişkin iç tutarlık katsayısının .88 olduğu ve boyutlarına ilişkin katsayılarınise sırasıyla .83 ve .78 olduğu saptanmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen geçerlik vegüvenirlik analizleri, OFÖ’nün okul farkındalığı yapısının Türk kültüründeölçülmesi için yeterli psikometrik özelliklere sahip, geçerli ve güvenilir birölçme aracı olduğunu göstermiştir.

WOS: 000269349300015 PubMed: 19526167 Objectives: To investigate the thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) frame count (TFC) in the coronary arteries without visible atherosclerosis in coronary angiography of patients with stable coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods: Eighty-three patients (mean age 58 10, 31 [37%] males), who underwent coronary angiographic evaluation for stable angina in Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey, Cardiology clinic between 2006-2007 were enrolled. Forty patients with normal coronary arteries were defined as group 1. Group 11 consisted-of 43 patients, who have one normal coronary artery in the setting of stable CAD defined as stenoses 50% or greater in at least one major coronary artery. Coronary blood flow and microvascular perfusion was evaluated by TFC. Results: In group 11, the TFC of left anterior descending artery (LAD) in 15 patients, TFC of circumflex artery (CX) in 18 patient, and TFC of right coronary artery (RCA) in 10 patients were evaluated. In group 11, the TFC of LAD (37 12 versus 29 12, p=0.015) and CX (22 8 versus 18 9, p=0.035) were significantly higher than those in group 1. The TFC of RCA was similar between groups (17 9 versus 17 8, p=0.990). After the adjustment of the risk factors by multivariate regression analyses, the association between TFC and clinical characteristic was statistically non-significant. Conclusion: The TFC decreased in angiographically normal LAD and CX arteries in the setting of stable angina pectoris. The important predictor was CAD alone, irrespective of the clinical parameters.
