Uvod: Sindrom karpalnog kanala (SKK) i cervikalna radikulopatija (CR) su najčešći uzrok senzomotorne disfunkcije na gornjim ekstremitetima. U kliničkoj praksi, ova dva stanja je često teško razlikovati, a često se javljaju i udruženo. U slučaju dijagnostičke sumnje, kao i pre lečenja pre svega operativnog, treba sprovesti elektromioneurografsko (EMNG) ispitivanje. Cilj: Ova studija ispituje kliničke karakteristike i EMNG nalaz kod pacijenata sa simptomima SKK i CR, sa ciljem da utvrdimo korelaciju između uputne (kliničke) i završne (EMNG potvrđene) dijagnoze, učestalost istovremenog prisustva SKK i CR, kao i korelaciju između prisustva tegoba i funkcionalnog statusa procenjenih na osnovu Levine (Boston) upitnika i EMNG nalaza kod ispitanih pacijenta. Metodologija: Ova studija preseka obuhvatila je 182 pacijenta (80,8% žena i 19,2% muškaraca), prosečne starosti 55.99±11.95 godina, upućena na EMNG ispitivanje sa uputnom dijagnozom SKK i/ili CR u Institut za rehabilitaciju u Beogradu u periodu od 01.01.-31.12.2015.godine, odnosno 267 simptomatskih ekstremiteta koji su ispunili EMNG kriterijume za SKK i CR. Svim ispitanicima izvršeno je standardno merenje brzina provodljivosti motornih i senzitivnih vlakana i latenci F-talasa n.medianus-a i n.ulnaris-a. Radi preciznije dijagnostike SKK izvršeno je uporedno merenje senzitivne latence n.medianus-a i n.unaris-a sa IV prsta. Elektromiografsko ispitivanje koaksijalnom iglenom elektrodom obuhvatilo je m.abductor pollicis brevis i reprezentativne mišiće za miotome C5 do C8/Th1. Svi pacijenti su samostalno popunili Levinov upitnik za procenu težine simptoma i funkcionalnog statusa. Ispitanici su, u odnosu na završnu dijagnozu, poređeni prema uputnoj dijagnozi, demografskim karakteristikama, subjektivnim tegobama, kliničkom nalazu, vrednostima skora Levine upitnika, i EMNG nalazu. The aim of this paper is to explore the impact of increased gamma and neutron radiation on the PIN photodiodes and phototransistors and their output characteristics. Special attention was paid to the successive impact of gamma and neutron radiation when the components were located in the field of gamma radiation and after that in the field of neutron radiation. The impact of successive irradiation was compared with the influence of gamma and neutron radiation when they appear individually. An important result of this research is the observation that neutron irradiation of photovoltaic detectors, applied after gamma irradiation, leading to partial reparations of distorted semiconductor structure and increasing disrupted output characteristics (photocurrent, spectral response). Monte Carlo simulation of gamma photons transfer through the crystal lattice of the semiconductor has been shown that the cause of such effect of neutron radiation is a large number of divacancies caused by successive operation of the previous gamma radiation and the neutron radiation itself. Divacancies have created the basis for increased generation of charge carriers by direct transfer (tunneling) of carriers through the traps (recombination centers). This is so called intercenter charge transfer.

Zbog širokog područja primene, solarne ćelije su, u svom radnom okruženju, izložene različitim vrstama zračenja (kosmičko zračenje u gornjim slojevima atmosfere, vojna i civilna nuklearna postrojenja). Štaviše, korišćeno nuklearno gorivo u isto vreme emituje i u fotone i neutrone tako da se u solarnim ćelijama smeštenim u blizini ovih goriva javljaju različite vrste radijacionih oštećenja. Ova oštećenja su uzrokovana i gama i neutronskim zračenjem. Zbog toga su preduzimana vrlo opsežna istraživanja sa ciljem razvoja poluprovodničkih uređaja čiji rad će biti pouzdan i u uslovima povećanog nivoa zračenja. Sa tehnološkog aspekta, važno je utvrditi promene, uzrokovane zračenjem, u parametrima solarnih ćelija koje utiču na njihov rad. Cilj ovog rada je da se predstavi uporedna studija efekata gama i neutronskog ozračivanja na parametre solarnih ćelija., Due to its wide application areas, solar cells are exposed, in their work environment, to different types of radiation (cosmic radiation in the upper layers of the atmosphere, military and civilian nuclear facilities). Moreover, the used nuclear fuel emits y photons and neutrons at the same time, so different types of radiation damage appeared in solar cells located in the vicinity of these fuels. These damage have been caused by both gamma and neutron radiation. That's why very extensive researches have been undertaken with the aim of developing semiconductor devices whose work will be reliable in terms of increased levels of radiation. From the technological point of view, it is important to determine changes, caused by radiation, in the parameters of the silicon solar cells that affect their work. The aim of this paper is to present the comparative study of gamma and neutron irradiation effects on the solar cells parameters.

The antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities of isolates (CHCl3 and MeOH extracts and selected metabolites) obtained from the underground parts of the Balkan endemic plant Ferula heuffeliiGriseb. ex Heuff. were assessed. The CHCl3 and MeOH extracts exhibited moderate antimicrobial activity, being more pronounced against Gram-positive than Gram-negative bacteria, especially against Staphylococcus aureus (MIC=12.5g/ml for both extracts) and Micrococcus luteus (MIC=50 and 12.5g/ml, resp.). Among the tested metabolites, (6E)-1-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3,7,11-trimethyl-3-vinyldodeca-6,10-dien-1-one (2) and (2S*,3R*)-2-[(3E)-4,8-dimethylnona-3,7-dien-1-yl]-2,3-dihydro-7-hydroxy-2,3-dimethylfuro[3,2-c]coumarin (4) demonstrated the best antimicrobial activity. Compounds 2 and 4 both strongly inhibited the growth of M. luteus (MIC=11.2 and 5.2M, resp.) and Staphylococcus epidermidis (MIC=22.5 and 10.5M, resp.) and compound 2 additionally also the growth of Bacillus subtilis (MIC=11.2M). The cytotoxic activity of the isolates was tested against three human cancer cell lines, viz., cervical adenocarcinoma (HeLa), chronic myelogenous leukemia (K562), and breast cancer (MCF-7) cells. The CHCl3 extract exhibited strong cytotoxic activity against all cell lines (IC50 lt 11.0g/ml). All compounds strongly inhibited the growth of the K562 and HeLa cell lines. Compound 4 exhibited also a strong activity against the MCF-7 cell line, comparable to that of cisplatin (IC50=22.32 +/- 1.32 vs. 18.67 +/- 0.75M).

Plants from the genus Ferula L. (Apiaceae) were used for various purposes in traditional medicine of different nations throughout the history. Ferula heuffelii GRISEB. ex HEUFFEL is a perennial species endemic for Balkan peninsula. Ten compounds which belong to classes of prenyl-furocoumarin-, prenyl-dihydrofurochromone-, prenyl-benzoyl-and prenyl-benzoylfuranone-type sesquiterpenoids, as well as sesquiterpene coumarins and phenylpropanoids, were, for the first time, isolated from the CHCl3 extract of the underground parts of this plant and identified. Furthermore, extract and three isolated compounds, i.e., latifolone (1), dshamirone (4), and (2S*, 3R*)-2-[(3E)-4,8-dimethylnona-3,7-dien-1-yl]-2,3-dihydro7- hydroxy-2,3-dimethylfuro[3,2-c] coumarin (6) were, for the first time, evaluated for their in vitro antispasmodic activities in three experimental models: spontaneous contraction, and ACh- and KCl-induced contraction of an isolated rat ileum. The extract (0.1-1.3 mg/ml) and compound 6 (1 - 10 mu g/ml) exhibited dose-dependent effect in all three models. Compound 1 (1-6 mu g/ml) affected spontaneous contractions and those induced by KCl, while compound 4 (8 mu g/ml) displayed only moderate activity with ACh-induced contractions. It can be concluded that tested compounds contribute to exhibited antispasmodic activity of crude extract. Additionally, extract (0.1-1.3 mg/ml) was tested for in vitro relaxant activity on an isolated rat trachea, and relaxed the KCl-induced contractions in a dose-dependent manner.

Methanolic extract of Satureja kitaibelii Wierzb. ex Heuff. (Lamiaceae) and its major compond rosmarinic acid possessed strong antimicrobial activity against tested bacteria and fungi, and antitumour activity against malignant cells, but without antiproliferative effect on healthy cell line MRC5. Minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of methanolic extract was ranged between 0.0125-1.25 mg/ml, while minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) was of 0.2-5.0 mg/ml and fungicidal (MFC) was 0.15-2.5 mg/ml. The rosmarinic acid exhibited better antimicrobial activity then methanol extract. The most sensitive species to rosmarinic acid were Bacillus cereus and Candida kruzei, while Micrococcus flavus, Trichoderma viride and Aspergillus niger were the most resistant. The methanol extract exhibited strong activity against Fem-x human malignant melanoma cells with an IC50 39.66 +/- 2.71 mu g/ml, and moderate activity against other cancer cell lines (IC50 from 138.06 +/- 0.16 mu g/ml against estrogen-dependant breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB-361 to 173.15 +/- 0.02 against a human epithelial cervical cancer cells HeLa). Rosmarinic acid arrested G2/M phase cell cycle in Fem-x cells, against which both methanol extract and rosmarinic acid possessed the best cytotoxic activity.

This paper presents the behavior of PIN photodiodes after combined gamma and neutron irradiation. Different types of PIN photodiodes have been exposed first to gamma and then to neutron irradiation. I-V characteristics (current dependence on voltage) of photodiodes have been measured after each of these irradiations. It has been noted that the photocurrent level after the neutron irradiation is higher than before it, which is not consistent with the current theories about the effects of neutron radiation on semiconductors. In order to explain this behavior of the photodiodes, the Monte Carlo simulation of photon transport through the material has been used. It is proposed that a possible cause for current enhancement are defects in semiconductor created by gamma irradiation and effects of neutron irradiation on these defects. The results can be explained by an intercentre transfer of charge between defects in close proximity to each other. The aim of this paper is to investigate the improvement possibilities of the I-V characteristics of PIN photodiodes, and photodetectors in general, damaged by gamma irradiation.

In this paper the parameters of quality and nutrition value of cow, goat and sheep cheese in brine were investigated. The samples of cheese were produced on the Pirot territory. The dynamic of changes of this parameters was investigated throughout storage of cheeses. Investigation of chemical composition (dry matter, fat, total nitrogen, salt, calcium and ash), as well as pH and titrimetric acidity of cheeses in brine were analyzed through 6 months: after production, and 30, 60, 120 and 180 days of storage. The obtained results are according to general characteristics of white cheese in brine: sour-bitter taste, soft appearance, and high content of fat in dry matter. After detailed chemical analyses white cheeses in brine, it might be concluded that analyzed cheese samples have significant nutritive value after 6 months of production. It could be concluded that the most intensive dynamic of chemical changes is first month after their production., U radu su ispitani hemijski parametri kvaliteta i nutritivne vrednosti belih sireva u salamuri od kravljeg, kozijeg i ovčijeg mleka, proizvedenih na teritoriji pirotskog okruga kao i dinamika promene ovih parametara tokom perioda zrenja i čuvanja. Ispitivanje hemijskog sastava (suve materije, masti, ukupnih azotnih materija, NaCl, kalcijuma, pepela) i kiselosti (pH i titraciona kiselost) analiziranih belih sireva u salamuri vršeno je tokom 6 meseci zrenja i to po sledećoj dinamici: nakon proizvodnje, 30, 60, 120 i 180-og dana nakon proizvodnje. Dobijeni rezultati su u skladu sa opštim karakteristikama belih sireva u salamuri: kiselo-slani ukus, meka konzistencija i visok sadržaj masti u suvoj materiji. Nakon detaljne hemijske analize belih sireva u salamuri, koji su proizvedeni od kravljeg, ovčijeg i kozjeg mleka, može se zaključiti da ovi sirevi i nakon šest meseci imaju značajnu nutritivnu vrednost, a na osnovu praćenja dinamike promene hemijskog sastava analiziranih sireva tokom perioda zrenja, da je ona najintenzivnija tokom prvih 30 dana zrenja.
