Sustainable agricultural production largely depends upon the viability and longevity of high-quality seeds during storage. Legumes are considered as rich source of dietary protein that helps to ensure nutritional security, but associated with poor seed longevity that hinders their performance and productivity in farmer's fields. Seed longevity is the key determinant to assure proper seed plant value and crop yield. Thus, maintenance of seed longevity during storage is of prime concern and a pre-requisite for enhancing crop productivity of legumes. Seed longevity is significantly correlated with other seed quality parameters such as germination, vigor, viability and seed coat permeability that affect crop growth and development, consequently distressing crop yield. Therefore, information on genetic basis and regulatory networks associated with seed longevity, as well as molecular dissection of traits linked to longevity could help in developing crop varieties with good storability. Keeping this in view, the present review focuses towards highlighting the molecular basis of seed longevity, with special emphasis on candidate genes and proteins associated with seed longevity and their interplay with other quality parameters. Further, an attempt was made to provide information on 3D structures of various genetic loci (genes/proteins) associated to seed longevity that could facilitate in understanding the interactions taking place within the seed at molecular level. This review compiles and provides information on genetic and genomic approaches for the identification of molecular pathways and key players involved in the maintenance of seed longevity in legumes, in a holistic manner. Finally, a hypothetical fast-forward breeding pipeline has been provided, that could assist the breeders to successfully develop varieties with improved seed longevity in legumes.

The study on photodegradation of Brilliant Green dye was done by barium calciate nanoparticles (BaCaO2). The BaCaO2 was prepared by solution combustion synthesis. The analytical instruments like SEM, XRD, EDAX, and UV-absorption spectroscopy were employed for characterization. All the experiments were accomplished under various irradiation conditions such as sunlight, UV light and dark conditions. The obtained results examined the percentage of degradation capacity of BaCaO2 on Brilliant Green by differing the Brilliant Green concentration, pH and catalyst loading. The percentage of degradation was 98.93% in 20ppm of dye concentration at pH 6 with a constant catalyst concentration of 0.7g/100mL. This proves that the synthesized barium calciate nanoparticles are more efficient in removing Brilliant Green from the wastewater.

In this paper, a low profile polarization insensitive ultrathin Circuit Analogue Absorber is presented for wideband absorption, encompassing the entire X‐band and Ku‐band applications achieving stable angular performance up to 45° angle of incidence in TE and TM polarized configurations. The absorber design being proposed consists of a multislotted square loop resonator loaded with lumped resistors, accompanied inside by a quadruple‐split annular copper ring. These components are arranged in a stacked configuration, with a grounded dielectric substrate serving as the base and an air spacer between the substrate and ground displaying absorptivity above 90% from 8.19 to 22.20 GHz with a 14.01 GHz and 92.2% of actual and fractional bandwidth respectively under the normal incidence. Mud crabs are common edible crustaceans, which are fished along the coasts of India. Scylla tranquebarica (Fabricius 1798), commonly called green crab is one of the most economically important portunid crab in India. The study was carried out to determine the sex ratio, maturation and spawning, gonadosomatic index, fecundity and egg diameter. Sex ratio of 1 female to 1.3 male gave good results. Size at first maturity was observed at 11 cm carapace width (CW) in males and 10 cm (CW) in females. The highest GSI values in males (6.17) and females (5.12) were observed in the month of October. The maximum number of eggs produced by the females was up to 5 million. The egg diameter was recorded in the range of 0.69 to 0.76 mm. The incubation period was 11-13 days. The hatching success average percentage was recorded as 80%. For the incubation and larval rearing of mud crab, Scylla tranquibarica, the optimum requirement of water temperature and salinity were recorded as 28°C and 30 ppt, respectively. The need for public fast electric vehicle charging station (FEVCS) infrastructure is growing to meet the zero-emission goals of the transportation sector. However, the large charging demand of the EV fleet may adversely impact the grid's stability and reliability. To improve grid stability and reliability, the development of a DC microgrid (MG) leveraging renewable energy sources to supply the energy demands of FEVCSs is the sustainable solution. Balancing the intermittent EV charging demand and fluctuating renewable energy generation with the stable DC bus voltage of a DC MG is a challenging objective. To address this objective, a piece-wise droop control strategy is proposed in this work. The proposed scheme regulates DC bus voltage and power sharing with droop value updating in a region-based load current distribution. Voltage compensation in individual regions is carried out to further improve the degree of freedom. In this paper, the performance of the proposed strategy is evaluated with the consideration of real-time solar PV dynamics and EV load dynamics. Further, to showcase the effectiveness of the proposed strategy, a comparative analysis with a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controller against various dynamic EV load scenarios is carried out, and the results are validated through a hardware-in-loop experimental setup. Despite the intermittent source and EV load dynamics, the proposed piece-wise droop control can maintain voltage regulation with less than 1% deviation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and Objectives: Complications arising from transverse fractures of the patella, olecranon, and medial malleolus are a leading cause of disability. Among the available therapeutic options, tension band wiring is the most helpful for patient mobilisation at an early stage. Materials and Methods: In our study, which involved 50 patients requiring surgery at the Department of Orthopedics, Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India for fractures of the patella, olecranon, and medial malleolus, tension band wiring was used. This study was conducted between the January 2023 to December 2023. Various metrics were used to assess the functional outcome of the patients. Patients had radiological evaluation as well. Results: Among the top ratings given to the surgery, our research shows that it was 85% successful for patella. "Reduction" is the medical term most often used to describe the procedures performed to set broken bones. Manual techniques are used for less severe fracture reduction, while open reduction internal fixation is used for more severe fractures. Following this treatment, the motion of the broken bones is limited by means of a cast. For accurate and lawful healing to occur, the resting period is absolutely necessary. Conclusion: It is critical to have trials that show the operation is beneficial because of the frequency of knee fractures and the length of time it takes for the patella to recover. State-of-the-art distributed system development with low power specifications is especially required for different applications. Ultra-wideband radar (UWB), Multi Input Multi Output radar (MIMO), and cognitive-based radar technology are the current trends in modern radar systems. Current EW systems are developed with digital receiver technology using Nyquist Sampling. Radar modulation recognition and correct radar identification are essential requirements for EW receiver systems. The radar signal acquisition through compressed sensing and reducing the number of samples using sub-Nyquist sampling play a vital role in EW systems. Random Modulator preintegrator (RMPI) is a current concept for extracting waveforms with dominant base vectors. RMPI explores the structural and geometrical properties of the signal apart from traditional time and frequency domain analysis for improved identification. The Curvelet transform-based RMPI methodology is an inverse problem with exceptionally fewer measurements. In this paper, Curveletbased modulation estimation, identification of radars, and Curvelet-simulated results of different radar waveforms with noise are depicted. The discrete Curvelet transform algorithm (USFFT) is simulated with an input signal of Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) pulse, pulse spikes, Linear Frequency Modulated (LFM), and Barker-coded pulse waveforms. The FFT output is also measured with Nyquist samples for comparison. This paper has contributed the simulation of Electronic Warfare techniques with Modulation Estimations as part of ESM (Electronic Support Measure), the Compressed sensing and Curvelet-based modulation estimation, identification of radars simulated with different radar waveforms with/without noise, and the discrete Curvelet transform algorithm is simulated with input signal of UWB pulse, pulse spikes, LFM, and Barker coded. Abstract Background Rice aleurone layer develops different colours with various chemical tests that may help to develop some rapid tests for identification/grouping of rice varieties. Understanding the colour inheritance pattern could enable to develop chemical clues that may help for genetic purity analysis along with grow-out-test. Results In this study, inheritance pattern of aleurone layer colour was studied in parents, F1 and F2 progenies derived from the crosses IR 36 × Acc. No. 2693 and IR 64 × Acc. No. 2693. The parent IR 36 showed light yellow (NaOH/KOH) and brown (phenol/modified phenol test) colour; whereas, Acc. No. 2693 revealed wine red/dark wine red (NaOH/KOH) and light brown colour/no reaction (phenol/modified phenol test). In contrary, another parent IR 64 exhibited light yellow (KOH/NaOH) and dark brown (phenol, modified phenol) colour. Both the F1 showed an intermediate light wine red colour (NaOH/KOH) and dark brown (phenol and modified phenol) colour, which is dominant over their one of the parents. The colour pattern with standard phenol/modified phenol, NaOH and KOH tests in F2 progenies of both the crosses showed 9:7 (complementary gene interaction) and 11:5 ratios (reciprocal dominance modification of recessive alleles), respectively. Conclusions Our findings clearly elucidate the colour inheritance pattern in rice that may facilitate to develop rapid chemical tests to identify/ group the varieties for genetic purity analysis.
