The Pilliga Forest is one of the largest surviving woodland remnants on the New South Wales western slopes in inland eastern Australia. Collation of personal observations by a resident herpetologist working in the Pilliga Forest over a 12-year period identified 18 frog species and 49 reptile species. One additional reptile species was identified from museum specimen records, and unconfirmed reports of another one frog and seven reptile species are also noted. This paper provides the most comprehensive published account of the herpetofauna of the Pilliga Forest to date, and illustrates the value of observations over an extended period. Comparison with other locations across western New South Wales highlights the high species richness of the Pilliga Forest for both frogs and reptiles. This is in part a function of its location in a biogeographic overlap zone between eastern, western and northern faunal assemblages. Species of particular conservation concern found in the Pilliga Forest include the threatened Hoplocephalus bitorquatus, near-threatened Pseudophryne bibronii and declining woodland reptiles such as Ctenotus allotropis, Diporiphora nobbi, Morelia spilota metcalfei, Acanthophis antarcticus, Brachyurophis australis and Vermicella annulata. Addresses the utility of the construct of social interest as related to the behaviors of criminal offenders. Social interest involves concern for others and optimism regarding one's view of the world. The results indicate significant relationships between social interest scores and offender outcome as demonstrated by employment status, new felony arrests, and reincarceration status. Cytokine RNA in situ hybridization permits individualized molecular phenotyping in biopsies of psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. We describe a unique case of dupilumab-induced psoriasis in the setting of ICPi-associated dermatitis, characterized the immunologic cytokine profiles, and successfully treated ICPi-associated psoriasis with apremilast. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICPis) are associated with eczematous reactions that may be treated with dupilumab in corticosteroid-resistant cases.[1] There are also mounting reports of dupilumab triggering or exacerbating psoriasis when used for presumed atopic dermatitis.[2] Here we report a case of eczematous dermatitis associated with pembrolizumab therapy successfully treated with dupilumab that was followed by the development of psoriasis and characterize the cytokine profiles of biopsy specimens before and after dupilumab. To test our hypothesis of whether the eccrine syringometaplasia may be related to the presence of mpox viral particles within eccrine ducts, we identified a second case of PCR-confirmed mpox viral infection for which skin biopsy tissue was available. Importantly, we observed in two patients with PCR-confirmed mpox virus infection squamous syringometaplasia of the eccrine ducts, a finding that can aid in recognizing this disease, and is explained by the demonstration of viral mRNA within eccrine epithelium by ISH. Current climate models have difficulty representing realistic wave-mean flow interactions, partly because the contribution from waves with fine-vertical scales is poorly known. There are few direct observations of these waves and most models have difficulty resolving them. This observational challenge cannot be addressed by satellite or sparse ground-based methods. The Strateole-2 long-duration stratospheric superpressure balloons that drift with the horizontal wind on constant density surfaces provide a unique platform for wave observations across a broad range of spatial and temporal scales. For the first time, balloon-borne Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) radio occultation (RO) is used to provide high vertical resolution equatorial wave observations. By tracking navigation signal refractive delays from GPS satellites near the horizon, 40-50 temperature profiles were retrieved daily, from balloon flight altitude (~20 km) down to 6-8 km altitude, forming an orthogonal pattern of observations over a broad area (±400-500 km) surrounding the flight track. The refractivity profiles show an excellent agreement of better than 0.2 % with co-located radiosonde, spaceborne COSMIC-2 RO and reanalysis products. The 200-500 m vertical resolution and consecutive sampling in time and space make it possible to extract properties of Kelvin waves to shorter period gravity waves with vertical wavelengths as short as 2-3 km. A short dataset from the extra Galileo and GLONASS constellations demonstrates the feasibility to nearly double the sampling density in planned follow-on campaigns. The results will contribute to improved estimates of momentum forces for wave driving of the Quasi-biennial Oscillation (QBO) and improved QBO representation in models, and illustrate the importance of measuring intrinsic period in the Lagrangian reference frame. A 60‐year‐old man with metastatic renal cell carcinoma presented with a 6‐month history of a pruritic, exquisitely painful genital eruption appearing 3 months after initiation of nivolumab. Examination demonstrated a poorly defined, lichenified scrotal plaque studded with erosions, yellow crust, and tense vesicles. There was no other lesion on the body or mucosae. Histopathology revealed a subepidermal blister with a mixed lymphocytic, neutrophilic, and eosinophilic infiltrate. Direct immunofluorescence of perilesional skin demonstrated subclinical blister and linear/fibrillary patchy IgG and IgA along the dermoepidermal junction. Bullous pemphigoid (BP) serologies revealed normal IgG BP230 antibodies and minimally elevated IgG BP180 antibodies. Indirect immunofluorescence revealed positive IgG at the basement membrane ("epidermal pattern") in human split skin and monkey esophagus substrates; no IgA antibodies were detected. The patient was diagnosed with nivolumab‐induced localized genital BP (LGBP). BP is a reported adverse effect of immune checkpoint inhibitors including nivolumab; however, cases are typically generalized. LGBP is a rare BP variant typically presenting in children and females; there are few reports of LGBP in adult males. We report a novel case of nivolumab‐induced LGBP with unique histopathologic and clinical challenges. LGBP should be considered in patients on immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy with bullous genital eruptions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

These results highlight that treatment of GA is often unsatisfactory and there is a substantial QoL burden from GA, including from symptoms. The survey contained items on demographics, GA history, symptoms, treatments and quality of life (QoL); the latter was assessed using Skindex-16.[3] Identifying information was not collected.
