It is difficult for the current differential protection to realize synchronous sampling in active distribution network. In order to deal with this problem, a novel data synchronization method based on zero-crossing point of pre-fault current is proposed in this paper. The influencing factors of the synchronization method are discussed in detail, including line capacitance current, line length and sampling time difference. The performance of zero-crossing data synchronization method is verified by simulation in PSCAD and MATLAB. The simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively realize the data synchronization under various conditions in active distribution network.
