The chemical constituents from the fruiting bodies of Tremella sanguinea were separated and purified by column chromatography on silica gel,ODS,Sephadex LH-20,and RP-HPLC. The structures of the isolated compounds were identified on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectroscopic data analysis,as well as comparisons with the data reported in the literature. Sixteen compounds were isolated from the 90% ethanol extract of the fruiting bodies of T. sanguinea,which were identified as( 22 E)-5α,8α-epidioxy-24-methyl-cholesta-6,9( 11),22-trien-3β-ol( 1),( 22 E)-5α,8α-epidioxyergosta-6,22-dien-3β-ol( 2),cerevisterol( 3),ergosta-7-ene-3β,5α,6β-triol( 4),( 22 E)-6β-methoxyergosta-7,22-diene-3β,5α-diol( 5),ergosta-7-en-3β-ol( 6),4-hydroxy-methylincisterol( 7),2-pyrrolidone( 8),nicotinamide( 9),1-( 3-indolyl)-3-dihydroxypropan-1-one( 10),yangambin( 11),linoleic acid( 12),( 9 Z,12 Z,15 Z)-2,3-dihydroxypropyl octadeca-trienoate( 13),( 9 Z,12 Z)-2,3-dihydroxypropyl-octadeca-dienoate( 14),crypticin B( 15)and 3-phenyllactic acid( 16). All compounds were isolated from T. sanguinea for the first time. Except for compounds 6,9 and 12,the remained compounds were isolated from the genus Tremella for the first time.

Budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae has been widely used for heterologous protein production. However, low protein production titer and secretion levels continue to challenge its practical applications. The yeast cell wall plays important roles in yeast cell growth and environmental responses. Nevertheless, the effects of yeast cell wall proteins on heterologous protein production and secretion remain unclear. CWP2 encodes a mannoprotein that is the major component of the yeast cell wall. So far, studies on its function have been very limited. Here we show that CWP2 disruption improved extracellular cellobiohydrolase activity by 85.9%. A calcofluor white hypersensitivity assay revealed increased sensitivity of the mutant compared to the parental strain, indicating impaired cell wall integrity. However, no changes were observed in normal cell growth or growth stressed by tunicamycin and dithiothreitol, suggesting that the unfolded protein response pathway was not affected by the gene disruption. Comparative transcriptome analysis revealed changes in multiple genes involved in cell wall structure, biosynthesis, and cell wall integrity induced by CWP2 disruption, suggesting a pivotal role of Cwp2p in yeast cell wall organization. Notably, CWP2 disruption also led to elevated transcription of a large number of genes involved in ribosome biogenesis, which indicated that CWP2 is not only in yeast cell wall biosynthesis, but also in protein translation. This work reveals novel insights into the functions of CWP2 and also presents a new strategy to increase heterologous protein production in yeast strains by manipulating cell wall-related proteins.

Background and aim Cresyl violet (CV) is a topical dye that allows simultaneous chromoendoscopy and in vivo confocal laser endomicroscopy in identification of neoplastic changes of the lower gastrointestinal tract without intravenous injection of fluorescein, but as yet no investigation has reported its application in the diagnosis of gastric intestinal metaplasia (GIM). This study aims to assess the feasibility as well as diagnosis accuracy of topical CV for in vivo diagnosis of GIM by using probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE). Methods In this prospective, open-label, feasibility study, 129 confocal videos from 22 patients with known GIM were analyzed and compared with corresponding histological images to establish the CV staining characteristics. In addition, 47 patients with known or suspected GIM were prospectively enrolled to evaluate the accuracy of this topical CV endomicroscopic imaging. Results Probe-based confocal laser endomicroscopy with topical CV enabled clear visualization of the goblet cells, absorptive cells, and intestinal villi of GIM. The accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of pCLE diagnosis of GIM on a per-location analysis was 93.01%, 91.95%, 93.51%, 86.96%, and 96.11%, respectively. The intraclass correlation coefficient for inter-observer agreement and mean kappa value for intra-observer agreement for the diagnosis of GIM was 0.82 and 0.87, respectively. Conclusions Topical CV enables real-time chromoendoscopy in conjunction with pCLE examination of the stomach and warrants accurate diagnosis of GIM. It may be an acceptable and potentially alternative dye for confocal imaging in the future.

To enable Saccharomyces cerevisiae to produce renewable fuels from lignocellulose in a consolidated bioprocess, a heterologous cellulase system must be engineered into this yeast. In addition, inherently low secretion titers and sensitivity to adverse environmental conditions must be overcome. Here, two native S. cerevisiae genes related to yeast stress tolerance, YHB1 and SET5, were overexpressed under transcriptional control of the constitutive PGK1 promoter and their effects on heterologous secretion of Talaromyces emersonii cel7A cellobiohydrolase was investigated. Transformants showed increased secreted enzyme activity that ranged from 22% to 55% higher compared to the parental strains and this did not lead to deleterious growth effects. The recombinant strains overexpressing either YHB1 or SET5 also demonstrated multi-tolerant characteristics desirable in bioethanol production, i.e. improved tolerance to osmotic and heat stress. Quantitative reverse transcriptase PCR analysis in these strains showed decreased transcription of secretion pathway genes. However, decreased unfolded protein response was also observed, suggesting novel mechanisms for enhancing enzyme production through stress modulation. Overexpression of YHB1 in an unrelated diploid strain also enhanced stress tolerance and improved ethanol productivity in medium containing acetic acid. To our knowledge, this is the first demonstration that improved heterologous secretion and environmental stress tolerance could be engineered into yeast simultaneously.

Lignocellulosic biomass has been widely studied as the renewable feedstock for the production of biofuels and biochemicals. Budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae is commonly used as a cell factory for bioconversion of lignocellulosic biomass. However, economic bioproduction using fermentable sugars released from lignocellulosic feedstocks is still challenging. Due to impaired cell viability and fermentation performance by various inhibitors that are present in the cellulosic hydrolysates, robust yeast strains resistant to various stress environments are highly desired. Here, we summarize recent progress on yeast strain development for the production of biofuels and biochemical using lignocellulosic biomass. Genome-wide studies which have contributed to the elucidation of mechanisms of yeast stress tolerance are reviewed. Key gene targets recently identified based on multiomics analysis such as transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomics studies are summarized. Physiological genomic studies based on zinc sulfate supplementation are highlighted, and novel zinc-responsive genes involved in yeast stress tolerance are focused. The dependence of host genetic background of yeast stress tolerance and roles of histones and their modifications are emphasized. The development of robust yeast strains based on multiomics analysis benefits economic bioconversion of lignocellulosic biomass.

Colonoscopy remains the mainstay in diagnosing and monitoring colorectal cancer and other colorectal lesions. The diagnostic efficiency of colonoscopy greatly depends on the quality of bowel preparation, which is closely associated with the patient's compliance with the preparation instructions. In addition, the procedural requirements of bowel preparation are often complex and difficult for patients to comprehend and memorize, especially those with lower health literacy and motivation. Therefore, in recent years, many educational methods have been developed, such as educational booklets, cartoon visual aids, educational videos, short message service, telephone, social media and smart phone applications. These educational methods have significantly improved compliance with the instructions for bowel preparation and ultimately promoted the visualization of the colon in patients undergoing colonoscopy.

A lead zirconate titanate (PZT) buffer layer was introduced for bismuth ferrite (BFO) thin films on platinum-coated silicon substrate, fabricated by sol-gel process. The enhanced crystallization has been obtained and explained by constraint stress contributed by the PZT buffer layer. The decreased leakage current has also been gained compared with the BFO thin film directly deposited on platinum electrode. The asymmetry of leakage current characteristic was exhibited and analyzed for this structure, which can be attributed to the differences of Schottky barrier height, because it has been proved that the leakage current mechanism is dominated by Schottky emission.

Now, there is a lack of information regarding the occurrence and the content of phthalic acid esters (PAEs) contamination in edible vegetable oils and oilseeds used for oil production in China. In this study, a method for determination of five PAEs was developed based on gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Method recoveries for oils and oilseeds were 72.4–103.0% and 77.2–98.8%, respectively. RSDs of five analytes in oils and oilseeds were ranging from 1.22 to 8.64% and 0.62–9.37%, respectively. The LODs and LOQs were ranging from 0.10 to 0.79 and 0.33–2.60 μg/kg, respectively. Based on the established method, PAE concentrations in thirty-four edible oils and twenty-eight oilseeds were evaluated. Five and thirteen oil samples exceeded the upper limits 1.5 and 0.3 mg/kg set for di(2-ethtlhexyl) phthalate and dibutyl phthalate in China, respectively. The results obtained indicated that more concern and comprehensive legislation are still needed and mulriple issues should be considered when it comes to the PAEs contamination in edible vegetable oils.

We investigate the topological states of the two-dimensional hexagon lattice bilayer. The system exhibits a quantum valley Hall (QVH) state when the interlayer interaction t ⊥ is smaller than the nearest neighbor hopping energy t, and then translates to a trivial band insulator state when t ⊥ / t > 1 . Interestingly, the system is found to be a single-edge QVH state with t ⊥ / t = 1 . The topological phase transition also can be presented via changing bias voltage and sublattice potential in the system. The QVH states have different edge modes carrying valley current but no net charge current. The bias voltage and external electric field can be tuned easily in experiments, so the present results will provide potential application in valleytronics based on the two-dimensional hexagon lattice.

We consider the class ℛ of finitely generated toral relatively hyperbolic groups. We show that groups from ℛ are commutative transitive and generalize a theorem proved by Benjamin Baumslag in [3] to this class. We also discuss two definitions of (fully) residually-𝒞 groups, i.e., the classical Definition 1.1 and a modified Definition 1.4. Building upon results obtained by Ol'shanskii [18] and Osin [22], we prove the equivalence of the two definitions for 𝒞 = ℛ. This is a generalization of the similar result obtained by Ol'shanskii for 𝒞 being the class of torsion-free hyperbolic groups. Let Γ ∈ ℛ be non-abelian and non-elementary. ObjectiveMental health condition of medical professionals in China is under-recognized. The current study aimed to determine the prevalence of depression and anxiety among healthcare professionals and explore the potential influence factors.MethodThe study employed a cross-sectional design. All employees were surveyed in the first week of September 2017. General information included gender, age, workload, workplace violence, sleep quality and so on. Depression and anxiety were evaluated using PHQ-9 and GAD-7, respectively. SPSS 22.0 was used for data analysis. Logistic regression was conducted to explore risk factors contributed to metal health.ResultsA total of 1,950 questionnaires were delivered, and 1,864 were returned with a response rate of 95.6%. The prevalence of depression and anxiety were 24.1% and 28.9%. As for workload, the average number of beds in charge per month is 65.97±95.58 beds, among which internal medicine department and surgical department endure more workloads. Though workers in ER and ICU manage fewer beds, they bear the longest nonstop working length in the previous month (19.18±10.82 h). There were 78.0% had suffered WPV in the preceding year. Staffs in ER and ICU are at higher risk to physical violence, especially doctors. Regarding to sleep quality, only 9.2% participants reported that they sleep well. Logistic regression indicated that workplace violence and sleep quality were independent risk factors for both anxiety and depression.ConclusionThe current study revealed the devastating conditions of mental disorders in medical workers and associated factors. Effective interventions are necessary to improve this situation.

Background The aim of this study is to investigate the combined value of fT3 and GRACE risk score for cardiovascular prognosis in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Objective To explore the expression and function of nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain (NOD) proteins NOD1 and NOD2 and provide guidance for prophylaxis and treatment of neonatal infection. Methods Peripheral blood samples were collected from preterm infants, term infants and, healthy adult volunteers. A portion of collected blood was used to examine the expression of NOD1 and NOD2 by real-time PCR. The remaining blood was stimulated in vitro with NOD2 agonist L-Ala-D-Glu- meso (Tri-DAP) or NOD1 agonist muramyl dipeptide (MurNAc-L-Ala-D-isoGln; MDP) for 4 h. Consequently, the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) were quantified by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results NOD1 expression was found to be decreased in preterm and term newborns compared with adults. NOD2 was significantly lower in preterm infants alone in comparison with adults. After treated by Tri-DAP or MDP, the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in peripheral blood were significantly lower in preterm and term newborns when comparing to adults. Conclusion NOD1 and NOD2 expression and induced release of pro-inflammatory mediators were impaired in infants, contributing to the high susceptibility of infants to infection. Our results insisted on developing a new immunological approach for prophylaxis and treatment of neonatal infection.

Isoprothiolane (IPT), a systemic fungicide, has been applied to control rice blast since the 1970s. Although resistance to IPT has been observed, the mechanism of resistance still has not been fully elucidated. In this study, nucleotide polymorphisms were detected between two IPT-resistant mutants generated in the lab, and their parental wild type isolates using a whole-genome sequencing approach. In the genomes of the two resistant mutants, single point mutations were identified in a gene encoding a Zn2Cys6 transcription factor-like protein. Notably, either knocking out the gene or replacing the wild type allele with the mutant allele (R343W) in a wild type isolate resulted in resistance to IPT, indicating that the gene is associated with IPT resistance, and thus was designated as MoIRR (Magnaporthe oryzae isoprothiolane resistance related). Along with point mutations R343W in mutant 1a_mut, and R345C in 1c_mut, a 16 bp insertion in 6c_mut was also located in the Fungal_TF_MHR domain of MoIRR, revealing that this domain may be the core element for IPT resistance. In addition, IPT-resistant mutants and transformants showed cross-resistance with iprobenfos (IBP), which was consistent with previous observations. These results indicated that MoIRR is strongly connected to resistance to choline biosynthesis inhibitor (CBI), and further work should focus on investigating downstream effects of MoIRR.

A 130 nm CMOS complementary-conducting-strip transmission line(CCS-TL)based multi-stage amplifier beyond 100 GHz was presented in this paper. Different structural parameters were investigated to achieve higher quality factor for the matching circuits. Moreover, CCS-TL based Marchand balun was implemented to achieve higher output power. The measured small signal gain was higher than 5 dB from 101 GHz to 110 GHz. DC power consumption was 67.2 mW with VD=1.2 V, and the chip size including contact PADs was 1.12 mm×0.81 mm.

The common source amplifier design with the inductive self-biasing is presented. The proposed design can establish the biasing and the impedance matching with two transmission line elements. Both theoretical and experimental verifications confirm that the three-stage prototype achieves a gain per stage of 6.1 dB, and the output P1dB of 1.6 dBm with 29 mW power consumption at 53 GHz based on the standard CMOS 130 nm 1P8M technology. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Introduction Post-treatment periapical lesions present 1 year after treatment may heal during the second year or later. The aim of this study was to assess second-year volumetric changes in post-treatment periapical radiolucencies detected 1 year after treatment. Methods Post-treatment periapical radiolucencies were detected on cone-beam computed tomographic (CBCT) scans obtained from 93 single-rooted teeth 1 year after endodontic treatment. The outcome of these teeth was evaluated 2 years after treatment. Two examiners independently measured the volume of the radiolucencies on CBCT images twice. A Wilcoxon signed rank test was used to assess the 1- and 2-year post-treatment volumes. Results The intraclass correlation coefficients for the CBCT volumetric measurements were 0.971 and 0.998 for the 2 examiners, and the interexaminer correlation coefficient was 0.998. Of the 93 teeth with post-treatment radiolucencies at 1 year, 61were examined at the second-year evaluation. The overall size of the radiolucencies significantly decreased during the second year (P = .01); the volume decreased in 38 teeth (63%), remained unchanged in 20 (33%), and increased in 2 (3%). Conclusions The volume of post-treatment periapical radiolucencies detected 1 year after treatment was significantly reduced after the second year in 63% of teeth.

The Upper Jurassic Emuerhe Formation was developed with abundant sedimentary facies types in the western section of the Mohe Basin. Based on the systematic sampling and detailed observation on the Emuerhe Formation of this section, the research on the sandstone grain size characteristics of the Emuerhe Formation was carried out with the grain size parameters features (Mz, SK1, KG and σ1), the sensitive components parameters features (SCPGS, SCGSR and SCPV) and the grain size analytical graphs features (grain size frequency curves, grain size cumulative curves, probability cumulative curves and C–M plots). The comprehensive analytical results illustrate that the hydrodynamic energy of the Emuerhe Formation (three times fan delta facies, two times sandy shallow lake microfacies and five times turbidite deposit) in the western section gradually reduced from bottom to top. In addition, the hydrodynamic energy of each fan delta facies gradually enhanced from bottom to top. Based on the analysis of the hydrodynamic conditions of the Emuerhe Formation in the western section, the hydrodynamic conditions evolution history of this section can be divided into five sedimentary phases, namely respectively for the fan delta sedimentary phase, the first-time sandy shallow lake microfacies sedimentary phase, the short-term deep lake subfacies sedimentary phase, the second-time sandy shallow lake microfacies sedimentary phase and the relatively stable deep lake subfacies sedimentary phase from bottom to top. Eight kinds of provenance of Rheum palmatum collected from 4 provinces Sichuan, Ningxia, Gansu, Shannxi as test materials, which were transplanted under 3 different environments by using complete randomized block design with three replicates. This study aimed at analyzing the effect of genotype, environment and their interactions on the 4 kinds of functional components (phenolic acids, bianthrone, free anthraquinones and combined anthraquinones) in 14 kinds of active components of R. palmatum, in order to provide a theoretical basis for the selection of cultivated R. palmatum in high quality producing area and excellent provenance. The functional components of R. palmatum were influenced by genotype and environment. The content of phenolic acids was mainly influenced by environment, and the other three kinds of functional components were affected by environment and their interactions. The proportion of environment was larger. The cultivation quality of R. palmatum should give priority to environment, then choose a provenance. Sichuan may be beneficial in accumulation of free anthraquinones in R. palmatum, Gansu may facilitate the binding of combined anthraquinone, phenolic acids and bianthrone content. Preliminary inference based on the content and proportion of efficacy components, P2 could be potential special medicinal germplasm that have function of heat-clearing and detoxifying drugs. P6 could be potential special medicinal germplasm that activate blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis. P7 and P1 could all be potential specialmedicinal germplasms that exist diarrhea attack characters. The results of this study have important guiding significance for the production of rhubarb precision medicinal materials.

Continuous regional arterial infusion (CRAI) is a drug delivery system, which dramatically increases the drug concentration in the pancreas. Previous clinical and basic studies have demonstrated the possible therapeutic efficacy of CRAI for severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). This meta-analysis of all published randomized controlled trials (RCTs) was conducted to assess the efficacy and safety of CRAI for the treatment of SAP.Up to August 10, 2014, RCTs comparing CRAI with intravenous infusion for SAP in PubMed, Embase, EBSCO, MEDLINE, Science Citation Index Expanded, Cochrane Library, China Academic Journals Full-Text Database, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, and Chinese Scientific Journals Database were selected by two independent reviewers. The relative risk (RR) and their 95% confidence intervals (CI) for duration of elevated serum amylase and urine amylase, duration of abdominal pain, infection rate, incidence of complication, overall mortality, curative rate, hospital stay and details of subgroup analysis were extracted. Meta-analyses were made using the software Review Manager (RevMan version 5.10).Six RCTs with 390 patients meeting the inclusion criteria were included in the final analysis. Compared with intravenous infusion route, CRAI significantly shortened the duration of elevated urine amylase (MD=-2.40, 95% CI=-3.20, -1.60; P0.00001) and the duration of abdominal pain (MD=-1.46, 95% CI=-1.94, -0.98; P0.00001), decreased the incidence of complication (RR=0.35, 95% CI=0.15, 0.81; P=0.01) and overall mortality (RR=0.25, 95% CI=0.08, 0.78; P=0.02), shortened the duration of hospital stay (MD=-10.36, 95% CI=-17.05, -3.68; P=0.002), and increased the curative rate (RR=1.66, 95% CI=1.13, 2.46; P=0.01). No mortality and catheter-related infections due to CRAI administration was reported in these studies. Subgroup analysis showed that the combination of drug administration via CRAI did not significantly improve the outcomes.CRAI is effective for the treatment of SAP, and the combination of drug administration via CRAI did not have a significant effect on the improvement of the outcomes.

Superhydrophobic fabrics were fabricated by creation of roughening structures through alkali etching of fibers, modification with mercapto silanes and hydrophobization via thiol–ene click chemistry. Alkali etching resulted in nanoscale pits on the fiber surfaces roughening the fabrics with hierarchical structures, and improved the affinity of fibers for mercapto silanes. The click reaction between dodecafluoroheptyl methacrylate and sulfhydryl fibers lowered the surface energy, making the fabrics superhydrophobic with superoleophilicity. The as-obtained superhydrophobic fabrics showed excellent chemical robustness even after exposure to different chemicals, such as acid, base, salt, acetone, and toluene. Importantly, the fabrics maintained superhydrophobicity after 4500 abrasion cycles, 200 laundering cycles, as well as long time exposure to UV irradiation. The fabrics could be applied in oil/water separation due to their superhydrophobic and superoleophilic properties.

Background The goal of this study was to investigate whether ceftriaxone combination therapy is associated with better clinical outcomes than respiratory fluoroquinolone monotherapy for adults with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). We conducted a meta-analysis of published studies. Methods Using the PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases, we performed a literature search of available randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published as original articles before September 2017. Results Nine RCTs, involving 1520 patients, were included in the meta-analysis. The pooled relative risks (RRs) for the efficacy of ceftriaxone combination therapy versus respiratory fluoroquinolones monotherapy were 0.96 (95% CI: 0.92–1.01), based on clinically evaluable populations, and 0.93 (95% CI: 0.88–0.99) based on intention-to-treat (ITT) populations. No statistically significant differences were observed in microbiological treatment success (pooled RR = 0.99, 95% CI: 0.90–1.09), although drug-related adverse events were significantly lower with ceftriaxone combination therapy than with respiratory fluoroquinolones monotherapy (pooled RR = 1.27, 95% CI: 1.04–1.55). Conclusions Current evidence showed that the efficacy of ceftriaxone combination therapy was similar to respiratory fluoroquinolone monotherapy for hospitalized CAP patients, and was associated with lower drug-related adverse events.

Although proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) have been used widely, acid-related diseases are still associated with a huge burden on the health care system. Recently, the efficacy and safety of a new acid suppressant named vonoprazan in the treatment of acid-related diseases have been evaluated by a series of studies. As a novel potassium-competitive acid blocker, vonoprazan may provide reversible acid suppression by preventing K+ from binding to gastric H+/K+-ATPase. It has been clinically used for the short-term treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease and Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection in Japan. The healing rate of GERD and gastric ulcers by vonoprazan is more than 95 and 90%, respectively; also, it is effective in curing PPI-resistant GERD. It increases H. pylori eradication rate to more than 88% as part of both first-line and second-line therapy. It is also effective in the eradication of clarithromycin-resistant H. pylori strains. All of these short-term studies show vonoprazan is safe and well-tolerated. As a safe and effective acid inhibitor, vonoprazan might be a novel alternative in the treatment of acid-related diseases.

In this paper, aerodynamic expressions in forms of the series and the polynomial for a blade with low speed in low pressure compressor are deduced by numerical simulation. Considering shear deformation and cross-section warping effect, the blade is simplified as a pre-twist, pre-setting rotating cantilever plate, which subjected to the aerodynamic force and the centrifugal force. Based on the first-order shear deformation theory and von-Karman nonlinear geometric relationship, nonlinear partial differential dynamic equation of the rotating blade is derived by using Hamilton principle. Equations of motion are converted into a series of ordinary differential equations using Galerkin method. The dynamic frequency and the dynamic deformation of the blade are explored and contrasted with results obtained by finite element method. Effects of parameters on vibration characteristics of the blade under different rotation speed are analyzed. Results show that the explicit expression of the aerodynamic force for the blade has a good applicability.

The aim is to investigate the association of fasting serum bilirubin (FSB) levels with the prognosis of coronary artery disease (CAD) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). A total of 450 hospitalized patients with CAD undergoing PCI were enrolled. The clinical data including FSB levels, basic biochemical indices, and traditional cardiovascular risk factors were recorded after admission, and all patients were followed up for 2.17 ± 0.67 years. The primary endpoint was the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). The 450 patients were divided into three groups based on their FSB levels: high FSB group (≥12.00 μmol/L; n = 158), intermediate FSB group (8.54–11.99 μmol/L; n = 141), and low FSB group (≤8.53 μmol/L; n = 151). A total of 118 MACEs were identified during the follow-up. Multivariate cox regression analysis showed that a decreased FSB level was an independent predictor of MACE in CAD patients (RR = 0.858, 95% CI 0.813–0.906, P = 0.001) post-PCI. Kaplan–Meier survival analysis suggested that the patients with low FSB tended to have a decreased MACE-free survival (log-rank test, χ2 = 34.65, P = 0.001). The baseline level of FSB is an independent predictor for clinical outcomes in post-PCI CAD patients.

Neuropathic pain has become an intractable health threat, with its profound effect on quality of life. Dorsal root ganglia (DRG) is evidenced to play a crucial role in neuropathic pain. The peripheral nociceptive afferents seem to be essential not only to initiate the process of neuropathic pain, but also to maintain and modulate it. Dexmedetomidine (DEX), a highly selective agonist of α2-adrenergic receptor (α2-AR), has provided significant analgesia in neuropathic pain. In the present study, we found that local injection to sciatic nerve of DEX alleviated heat hypersensitivity induced by chronic constriction injury (CCI). Western blotting revealed that DEX inhibited the over-expression of nerve growth factor (NGF) significantly. Immunohistofluorescence results showed that DEX inhibited glia cells activation and sympathetic sprouting simultaneously in DRG. Our study suggests that DEX attenuates neuropathic pain in CCI rats by down-regulation of satellite glial cells (SGCs) activation, NGF expression and sympathetic sprouting.

Background: Insomnia is one of the most common diseases in modern society, the main characteristics of the patients were difficulty in falling asleep at night and/or failure to maintain effective sleep after falling asleep. It can lead to early awakening, short sleep, heavy sleeplessness, dreaming, poor sleep quality, and working hours after waking up, causes a series of negative emotions, such as fatigue, inefficiency, cognitive decline, social interaction, tension, and anxiety, which affect social harmony and stability. So Insomnia has gained more and more attention. At present, acupuncture has been proved effective in the treatment of insomnia by many studies. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture in the treatment of insomnia, and to provide the latest evidence for clinical application. Methods and analysis: We collected the qualified literature on acupuncture treatment of insomnia by electronic retrieval of Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), China Biomedical Disc (CBMDISC), PubMed, China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP) and Wanfang Database, and manual retrieval of papers and internal reports. We will select the eligible studies published up to September 30, 2019. We use Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) as the main outcome of insomnia and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD) and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) as secondary indicators to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture treatment of insomnia, we will use Revman v.5.3 software to calculate data synthesis, and if the results are appropriate, meta-analysis can also be carried out. Results: This study will provide comprehensive evidence of high quality of acupuncture treatment for insomnia from ISI, PSQI, HAMD, SAS, and adverse reactions. Conclusion: The systematic review will provide a basis for evaluating the efficacy and safety of acupuncture in the treatment of insomnia. Trial registration number: PROSPERO CRD42019131957.

Twelve prenylated carbazole alkaloids, containing a novel prenylated carbazole alkaloid, named as clausevestine (1), and 11 known prenylated carbazole alkaloids (2–12), were isolated and identified from the stems and leaves of Clausena vestita, which is a Chinese endemic plant. The chemical structure of 1 was established by means of comprehensive spectroscopic data analyses and the known compounds were determined via comparing their NMR and MS data as well as optical rotation values with those reported in literature. Especially, clausevestine (1) is an unusual prenylated carbazole alkaloid possessing an unprecedented carbon skeleton holding 20 carbon atoms. The anti-inflammatory effects and antiproliferative activities of those isolated prenylated carbazole alkaloids were tested. Prenylated carbazole alkaloids 1–12 displayed remarkable inhibitory effects on NO (nitric oxide) production with IC50 values equivalent to that of the positive control (hydrocortisone). Meanwhile, prenylated carbazole alkaloids 1–12 exhibited remarkable antiproliferative activities against diverse human cancer cell lines in vitro holding the IC50 values ranging from 0.32 ± 0.04 to 18.76 ± 0.18 µM. These findings indicate that these prenylated carbazole alkaloids possessing remarkable anti-inflammatory effects and antiproliferative activities could be meaningful to the discovery of new anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor candidate drugs.

Different ferroelectric thin films and their related Metal-Semiconductor-Insulator-Metal (MSIM) structures include zinc oxide (ZnO) are studied, which can be utilized in back-gated ferroelectric field-effect transistors (FETs). The most ideal zinc oxide (ZnO) thin film prepared by sol-gel method are obtained under the pyrolysis temperature of 400°C and the annealing temperature of 600°C. The asymmetric or symmetric current-voltage characteristics of the heterostructures with ZnO are exhibited depending on different ferroelectric materials in them. The curves of drain current versus gate voltage for MSIM-structure FETs are investigated, in which obvious counterclockwise loops and a drain current switching ratio up to two orders of magnitude ate observed due to the modulation effect of remnant polarization on the channel resistance. The results also indicate the positive influences of impurity atom substitution in bismuth ferrite thin film for the MSIM-structure FETs.

The sandstone composition analysis carried out on the samples from three different sections (western section, middle section and eastern section) of the Upper Jurassic Emuerhe Formation in the Mohe Basin, northeastern China, reveals that the Okhotsk orogenic belt and the Ergun massif basement are the source areas for the Emuerhe Formation. The source area of the western section and the A segment of the middle section is the Okhotsk orogenic belt. The tectonic attributes of the Okhotsk orogenic belt are those of a dissected arc. The transportation distance of clastic rocks from these sections gradually lengthened, and the uplift rate of the Okhotsk orogenic belt gradually increased. The source area of the eastern section and the B segment of the middle section is the Ergun massif basement. Compared with the Okhotsk orogenic belt, the tectonic attributes and uplift rate of the Ergun massif basement are different from the former. The attributes of the Ergun massif basement are those of basement uplift. The transportation distance of clastic rocks from the eastern section and the B segment of the middle section gradually shortened, and the uplift rate of the Ergun massif basement gradually decreased. These conclusions are consistent with the characteristics of a foreland basin. Thus, we can draw the conclusion that the Mohe Basin belongs to the foreland basin.

Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) is a natural orifice, translumenal endoscopic surgical procedure that achieves endoscopic myotomy by conducting a submucosal tunnel as an operating space. It is conventionally performed in achalasia. Recently, several centers worldwide have reported the feasibility of this procedure not only in early achalasia but also in other particular patient cohorts. Possible indications for POEM include previously failed Heller myotomy, pneumatic balloon dilatation or POEM, sigmoid achalasia, pediatric patients, spastic esophagus disorders, Zenker’s diverticulum and gastroparesis. However, its application in large numbers of special patient groups awaits knowledge of the long-term outcome and greater experience with POEM.

Introduction The aim of this study was to investigate the outcome of endodontic microsurgery and analyze the prognostic factors. Methods Our prospective cohort study included 98 teeth in 81 patients. An endodontist performed all surgical procedures using endodontic microsurgical approaches. The treated teeth were recalled and examined clinically and radiographically at least 1 year after surgical treatment. The outcome was determined based on clinical and radiographic results. Radiographic healing was classified into 4 categories: complete, incomplete, uncertain, and unsatisfactory healing. An analysis of predictors was performed using multivariate logistic regression. Results At recall, 74 of the 98 teeth (75.5%) were examined 12 to 30 months after surgery; 71 of the 74 teeth were analyzed clinically and radiographically, and 3 teeth had been extracted. On periapical radiographs, 55 (74.3%) of the 74 teeth showed complete healing, whereas 12 (16.2%) demonstrated incomplete healing. Together the percentage of complete and incomplete healing was 90.5% (67/74), and all 67 teeth were clinically normal. Uncertain healing was observed in 3 teeth (4.1%), one of which was symptomatic with swelling and sinus tract involvement and the other 2 were asymptomatic. The remaining 1 tooth (1.4%) showed unsatisfactory healing and was asymptomatic. The use as an abutment was found to be a negative factor associated with patient outcome ( P Conclusions The combined rate of complete and incomplete healing of teeth 12 to 30 months after endodontic microsurgery was 90.5%. The use as an abutment may have a negative effect on treatment outcome.

This study aimed to clarify this association using a meta-analysis method. We used a systematic search for studies on the association of HO-1gene polymorphisms with CHD or RS in PubMed, Web of Science, the Cochrane Library, Wanfang Data and CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure). We used Stata 12.0 software to perform the meta-analyses. Twenty-three studies, involving 12,130 patients with CHD or RS and 14,181 controls, were included. A statistically significant association between the HO-1(GT)n repeat length polymorphism and CHD was observed under allelic (odds ratio (OR) = 0.929, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 0.881-0.978, p = 0.005), recessive (OR = 0.858, 95%CI = 0.780-0.945, p = 0.002), and co-dominant (OR = 0.843, 95%CI = 0.754-0.942, p = 0.003) models. Moreover, we also found a statistically significant association between the HO-1(GT)n repeat length polymorphism and RS under allelic (OR = 0.718, 95%CI = 0.541-0.953, p = 0.022) and co-dominant (OR = 0.522, 95%CI = 0.306-0.889, p =0.017) models. We found a significant association of the HO-1T(-413)A single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) with CHD under allelic (OR = 0.915, 95%CI = 0.842-0.995, p = 0.038), recessive (OR = 0.869, 95%CI = 0.760-0.994, p = 0.041), and co-dominant (OR = 0.792, 95%CI = 0.663-0.946, p =0.010) models. Our study indicates that both the HO-1(GT)n repeat length polymorphism and the T(-413)A SNP are associated with decreased risk of CHD. The (GT)n repeat length polymorphism was associated with RS following PCI.

To design a high gain amplifier at V-band using 130 nm CMOS process, the gain-boosted technique is adopted to increase the maximum achievable gain (G max ). Impedance matching synthesis is investigated for input and output matching circuits based on transmission lines. By adopting appropriate transistor size, a single stage amplifier can achieve the maximum gain of 10 dB at 53 GHz.

Age and growth of Hemibarbus labeo caught from Goe-san Lake in South Korea from March to November, 2011, were studied. A total of 201 specimens was collected, ranging from 110 to 580 mm in total length (TL). Males and females made up 47.9% and 52.1% of the sample, respectively. Marginal increment analyses showed that vertebral increments, each composed of one opaque and one hyaline zone, were deposited annually. Opaque edges were prevalent from June to July. The relationship between TL and vertebral radius was linear, with equations of R = 0.008TL - 0.208 (male) and R = 0.009TL - 0.272 (female). This paper studies the effect of damper components on the performance of the impact damper with fine particles as damping agent (IDFPDA). The responses of various damper combinations are obtained from the experiments of a cantilevered beam attached by the IDFPDA with different impactor diameter and particle material. Results show that the average attenuation rate is 72.7~75.4% by changing the particle material in IDFPDA and the average attenuation rate is 72.1~75.9% by changing the diameter of impactors, which are much higher than that without particles or impactors. The conclusions can be drawn that the IDFPDA has more excellent performance than traditional impact damper only with impactors or particles. The impactor diameters and the particle materials have little effect on the damping performance, so both metal and non-metal particles are suitable to IDFPDA.

Differential Thermal Analysis(DTA) and Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) were used to study the effect of Bamboo Powder(BP) on the curing behavior of two types of liquefied bamboo-based resol resin(PBF). DTA analysis shows that the addition of bamboo powder to the PBF resin leads to low temperature and broad peaks in the DTA curves. It also accelerates the addition reaction in the curing process of PBF resin and reduced the peak temperature, activation energies for PBF resin . Bamboo Powder reduced the activation energies for resins because the bamboo powder maybe had selfcatalysis effect. The lowest activation energy for a PBF resin probably appeared about at pH 11.0 under alkaline conditions.

The blend composite materials of bio-ethanol byproduct-Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) were produced by a twin-screw extrusion process. Effects of bio-ethanol byproduct (BEB) contents and different compatibilizers on properties of composite materials were investigated. The research showed that with the increase of contents of bio-ethanol byproduct, the mechanical properties decreased. The mechanical properties of composites were improved by adding the compatibilizers, especially the polypropylene grafted maleic anhydride (PP-MAH). When the PP-MAH content was 2.5%, the mechanical properties of the composite materials were superior to others.

Nano-TiO2 powder was synthesized by the continous-orderly-controlled-explosive nucleation method [1]. The experiment has effectively degenerated the n-amyl alcohol gas, and investigated its influencing factor by using the Nano-TiO2 photocatalytic activity[2]. When the initial density of the n-amyl alcohol gas is 1714.7mg/m3, the TiO2 calcination temperature is 450°C, the dosage of catalyst is 9.98g. The experiment reacts 40 minutes later, degeneration rate of the n-amyl alcohol achieves above 98%, and the degeneration rate increases constantly with the extension of reaction time. This study provides a solution for the environment pollution problem which the n-amyl alcohol produces.

New composite foams were prepared by co-foaming of Melamine-Urea-Formaldehyde (MUF) resin and wood fiber in the closed mould at 70°C. The effects of amount of wood fiber on mechanical properties, brittleness, flame-retardant, insulation and microscopic structures of wood fiber-MUF foam were investigated. Results indicated that the flame-retardant properties increased, and the brittleness and mechanical properties decreased with the increase of the amount of wood fiber in composite foams. The addition of wood fiber resulted in more uniform cell size distribution and irregular cell shape, but had little effect on insulation properties.

Based on the Bailey method for aggregate grading design and evaluation, the parameter "reserved voidage" is used in porous asphalt method design. The paper studies the relationship between the three parameters (reserved voidage, blend by volume of the coarse aggregates totaling 100.0% and chosen unit weight of coarse aggregate) and the pavement performances, such as deformation, resistance at high temperature, low-temperature anti-cracking and moisture susceptibility of porous asphalt mixture. The test results indicate that the porous asphalt mixture designed by the modified Bailey Method is of the characteristics of air void easier to control and superior performance.
