In this article, we focus on improving the performance and efficiency of photovoltaic systems. The main objective is to study and compare the performance of different MPPT methods, and to find the most efficient method (in terms of convergence speed, the MPP point where the oscillation is reduced), so that the generator of maximum power supplied by the photovoltaic can be extracted.. The main points involved in this research are: Modeling of the photovoltaic system Simulation of four MPPT algorithms. The simulation results are obtained using simulink in matlab.

Primary hydatid disease of the skeletal muscle without systemic involvement is rare. Since the infection appears on clinical examination to be a soft-tissue tumor. It is important to have a preoperative radiological evaluation, particularly with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to avoid biopsy or improper cyst management during surgery. We present a unique case of a primary hydatid cyst manifesting as an expanding soft-tissue mass in a 31-year-old woman's left thigh with magnetic resonance imaging revealed a very suggestive aspect of hydatid cyst in the adductor muscles and shows the interaction between cysts and nearby structures. The cyst was surgically removed, and macroscopic and microscopic histopathological examinations confirmed the diagnosis of muscular hydatidosis.

Clavicle fractures are among the most common fractures in adults. Nevertheless, bilateral fractures are rarely reported in the literature. We present the case of a 35-year-old male patient who was admitted with a bilateral clavicle fracture following a motorcycle accident. The patient underwent open reduction and bilateral intramedullary fixation with Kirschner wires. After six months of follow-up, the functional result was satisfactory; the patient achieved full range of motion in both shoulders and was free from pain. X-rays showed a complete fusion of the fracture on both sides.

Cette recherche expérimentale menée en didactique du français langue étrangère, s’intéresse à l’impact des connaissances linguistiques et/ou des connaissances référentielles sur la production écrite. Nous nous interrogeons sur l’effet de ces deux types de connaissances, chez deux populations d’étude, sur la production écrite ainsi que sur la révision d’un texte explicatif. Nous supposons que, contrairement aux connaissances linguistiques, les connaissances référentielles pourraient amener les participants à produire un texte explicatif de qualité du point de vue de son contenu sémantique. Deux groupes d’étudiants inscrits à l’université de Mascara (Algérie) ont participé à cette recherche : (G1) étudiants en M1 français, et (G2) étudiants en M1 droit. Les groupes ont produit deux rappels : Rappel (R1), et Rappel (R2) afin de confirmer ou d’infirmer les hypothèses de cette recherche expérimentales.

Tetraclinis articulata (Vahl.) Master or thuya is facing several constraints to its successful natural regeneration in Morocco. Containerized seedlings plantation is the only method adopted in thuya forest restoration programs and post-transplant water stress produces high seedling mortality after the first summer following outplanting. There is thus a real need to improve nursery seedlings quality, especially enhancing the growth of the root system by improving the water holding capacity of the root plug. Our aim was to assess the effects of clay on the water holding capacity of the growing media and on various morphological and physiological traits of T. articulata seedlings in the nursery. T.articula seedlings were raised in nursery using nine composite substrates; seedlings quality was evaluated according to their morpho-physiological and performance attributes. This investigation determined that a clay content of 20–25% constitutes an optimum for obtaining seedlings with a good root growth potential and high root viability. Excessive clay content in the growing media resulted in water-logged root plug decreasing root growth potential. This investigation found that morphological attribute as Root Collar Diameter and Root/Shoot ratio could be considered good predictors of Root Growth Potential.

The present work was carried out to evaluate the phenolic compounds and the antioxidant activities of some solvent extract (methanol, hydroethanol and aqueous) of several Moroccan medicinal plants known for their high antioxidant properties. The extracts were obtained by sonication, then, the total phenolics and flavonoids compounds were determined using Folin-Ciocalteu and Aluminium chloride. Afterwards, the Total Antioxidant Capacity and DPPH scavenging methods were performed. Results of phytochemical analysis showed that the total phenolics content were the highest in the hydroethanolic extract of Arbutus unedo with 160.76 mg GAE g-1DM, and the flavonoids content were the highest for the hydroethanolic extracts of Inula viscosa with 489.77 mg QE g-1 DM. Also, it can be noted that Arbutus unedo, Argania spinosa, and Myrtus communis exhibited the most potent antioxidant activity respectively with 0.026; 0.043; 0.036 mg ml-1.

Acute hyperammonemic encephalopathy is rare and generally is not widely known; only a few pediatric cases were found in the literature. These lesions’ clinical presentation differs significantly so they can mimic other lesions. In this case report, we discuss a 5-year-old boy who presented with generalized seizures and was unconscious in an apyretic context, for which she had a cranial computed tomographic and magnetic resonance imaging, both objectified an acute hyperammonemic encephalopathy resulting from an enzyme deficiency. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed lesions throughout the cortex, with the perirolandic and occipital cortices spared. This distribution of cerebral signal abnormalities on magnetic resonance imaging with an abrupt and profound neurological disorder is secondary to hyperammonemic. The knowledge of the magnetic resonance imaging results of this entity is essential to accelerate the diagnosis, and treatment, also to prevent sequelae.

The transmissions of fermions are investigated through gapped graphene structures by employing a combination of double barrier tilting and a time‐oscillating potential. The latter introduces additional sidebands into the transmission probability that manifest at energy levels determined by the frequency and incident energy. These sidebands arise from the absorption or emission of photons generated by the oscillating potential. It is demonstrated that the tilting and positioning of the scattering events within the barriers play a crucial role in determining the peak of tunneling resistance. In particular, the presence of a mid‐barrier‐embedded scatter leads to a transition from a peak to a cusp when the incident energy reaches the Dirac point within a barrier. Additionally, it is that introducing a time‐varying potential results in transmissions dispersing across both the central band and the sidebands. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article proposes a new algorithm for computing dispersion curves of ultrasonic guided waves in multi-layered composites with large number of layers. The algorithm is based on balancing the eigenvalue problem of the Spectral Collocation Method (SCM) formulation. The SCM has proven effective in analyzing single-layer and simple waveguides. However, it struggles with large multi-layer structures due to numerical instability caused by irregular and sparse matrices in the eigenvalue problem. The proposed algorithm for balancing has significantly reduced both the conditioning measure and the matrix norm in the matrix system. The optimization of spectral formulation enables accurate calculation of dispersion curves and characterization of displacement/stress profiles using Matlab software. This precise characterization and mode separation are essential for selecting ultrasonic sensors for damage detection. A comparison was made with Dispersion Calculator (DC) software. The algorithm was first validated using a hybrid multi-layered composite [CFRP-Al-CFRP-Al], which was successful. The validated algorithm was then quantitatively evaluated using a cross-play laminate T800M913 [0/90/0/90] in terms of three parameters: Number of collocation points, wave propagation direction and thickness. The algorithm is then applied to a large number of layers using three configurations: Symmetric layup T80M913[0/90]10s, hybrid layup [CFRP-Al]50 and challenging layup T800M913[0/90]100. The study found that the balancing algorithm, when combined with the SCM, is effective for structures with a large number of layers. Finally, optimizing the SCM will enhance its competitiveness as an effective tool in ultrasonic non-destructive testing for the studied structures of great industrial interest. Summary A mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a network with non‐wired communications and non‐centralized administration where all its nodes are mobile. Firstly, one of the leading drawbacks of wireless networks is their energy consumption because the constituent nodes of the network have a restricted battery capacity yet greater consumption caused by the mobility of the nodes, their processing power, the frequent sending of data, and so on. Secondly, data packets may be lost due to traffic, noise, or the mobility of nodes, whose data transmission in real‐time applications would be compromised by this loss. In order to resolve the problem of energy consumption and that of the loss of data packets for MANETs, we propose a new stable‐aware differential evolution‐based routing protocol (SDERP). We include a fitness function to select the best new path from all new paths issued at the end of this algorithm. This fitness function is based on energy constraints and link stability. The performance of our proposal is compared with OPAOMDV‐EE, FT‐AORP, EE‐LB‐AOMDV and AOMDV. The results show that our SDERP has better network performance than the other routing protocols. Specifically, it obtains a packet delivery ratio that is higher by up to 17%, an overhead ratio reduced by up to 33%, an energy efficiency better by up to 39%, and end‐to‐end delay reduced by up to 16%. While the equation depicting the heat flow within homogeneous has been applied in several fields with some success, it has also faced several difficulties to depict heat diffusion in some non-homogeneous media. For particular behaviours adequate differential operators have been applied, for instance, a long-range behaviour has been depicted using operators based on power law kernel; stochastic behaviours have been included into mathematical equation using random function, some well-defined crossover behaviours have been depicted using the differential operators based on the generalized Mittag-Leffler kernel. Nevertheless, complex crossovers behaviours have not been modelled efficiently due to limitation of existing theories. Nevertheless, very recently piecewise calculus was proposed and applied in some complex world problems with great success. In this paper, heat equation with constant and variable coefficients will be subjected to piecewise numerical analysis. Several cases are considered, and their numerical simulation depicted.

Background. Comminuted tibial pilon fractures are induced by high-energy mechanisms and are often associated with soft tissue injuries. Their surgical approach is problematic due to postoperative complications. Minimally invasive management of these fractures has a considerable advantage in preserving the soft tissue and the fracture hematoma. Materials and Methods. We conducted a retrospective study of a series of 28 cases treated at the Orthopedic and Traumatological Surgery Department of the CHU Ibn Sina in Rabat over a period of 3 years and 9 months, from January 2018 to September 2022. Results. After a mean follow-up of 16 months, 26 cases had good clinical results according to the Biga SOFCOT criteria and 24 cases had good radiological results according to the Ovadia and Beals criteria. No cases of osteoarthritis were observed. No skin complications were reported. Conclusion. This study highlights a new approach that deserves to be considered for this type of fracture as long as no consensus has been given.

There are very few data in the literature describing the occurrence of venous thrombosis in children. This raises the essential problem of late diagnosis, especially in asymptomatic or pauci-symptomatic presentations where this pathology may be unrecognized.The post-traumatic context of venous thrombosis in children, reported in a few cases, should lead to the suspicion of thrombophilia and to a clinical, biological and radiological etiological assessment.We report in our work the observation of a 14-year-old girl admitted in the context of a polytrauma with minimal mechanism in whom the lesion assessment revealed an extensive thrombosis of the inferior vena cava in the supra renal area, with a review of the literature.

Over the last few decades, argan trees (Argania spinosa L.) skeels have faced harsh ecological conditions and anthropogenic pressure, leading to a dramatic decline in surface and density of cultivation. Nowadays, most techniques used to regenerate argan trees have failed. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are root symbionts that increase plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses during transplantation. The exploration of these symbiotic fungi from different soils of argan stands is the starting point for the selection and production of high-performance organisms adapted to the reforestation sites. The objective of this study is to investigate the composition of the AMF community associated with the argan tree rhizosphere. Forty adult argan trees were sampled in eight forest sites representative of the distribution and genetic diversity of argan forest stands. Five sub-samples of rhizospheric soil were taken around each tree. Our results revealed the presence of different AMF structures (i.e., hyphae, vesicles/and arbuscules) in root samples. Based on morphological characterization, six genera of AMF spores were identified with a dominance of the genera Septoglomus (34%). In addition, soil organic matter and phosphorus concentrations showed a highly significant correlation with AMF spore density. The chi-square test showed a highly significant dependence of the distribution of genera on the site conditions of forest stands. These AMF could be tested and used during the inoculation of argan seedlings in forest nurseries for the success of restoration and reforestation programs, as well as for the development and sustainable improvement of this agroforestry system.
