Abstract

We derive a new criterion for checking the global stability of periodic oscillation of bidirectional associative memory (BAM) neural networks with periodic coefficients and distributed delay, and find that the criterion relies on the Lipschitz constants of the signal transmission functions, weights of the neural network, and delay kernels. The proposed model transforms the original interacting network into matrix analysis problem which is easy to check, thereby significantly reducing the computational complexity and making analysis of periodic oscillation for even large-scale networks.

125. Natural Derivatives of Selective HDAC8 Inhibitors with Potent in VivoAntitumor Efficacy against Breast Cancer

Abstract

HDAC8 is a therapeutic target with great promise for breast cancer. Here, we reported a novel compound corallorazine D from Nocardiopsissp. XZB108, selectively inhibited HDAC8 (IC50= 0.90 ± 0.014 μM), suggesting that it may be a promising nonhydroxamate HDAC8 inhibitor. Upon additional modifications of corallorazine D, a candidate compound 5k, demonstrated remarkable inhibitory potency against HDAC8 (IC50= 0.12 ± 0.01 nM), 89-fold superior to PCI-34051. The selectivity of 5kwas at least 439-fold, superior to corallorazine D, confirming the efficacy of our modifications. In an orthotopic mouse model of breast cancer, 5kdisplayed nearly 4-fold superior antitumor activity than SAHA. Furthermore, 5ktriggered antitumor immunity by activating T cells. Treatment with 5ksignificantly increased the proportion of M1 macrophages and decreased the proportion of M2 macrophages (M1/M2 ratio = 2.67 ± 0.25). 5krepresents a promising compound for further investigation as a potential treatment for breast cancer.

Abstract

• A Ni and N-doped porous interconnected carbon (NiNPIC) was prepared by a rapid and facile ultrasonic assisted method. • A high current density of 10.2 mA cm−2, an FE of 95.1%, a TOF of 1886 h-1 for CO 2 -to-CO at a low over-potential of -0.54 V. • The interconnected structure, high surface area and rich Ni-N-C moisture leads to better electron transfer and lower interface resistance. • The hierarchical porous structure greatly enhanced the mass transport in the electrode. Zn-Ni bi-metal MOFs were employed as precursors to prepare Ni-N-doped porous interconnected carbon (NiNPIC) catalysts for enhanced electrocatalytic activity and selectivity of the CO 2 RR. It was found that the Ni load amounts could be precisely controlled by altering the Ni dosage in the bi-metal MOF precursors, and the gradually increased Ni-N species leads to the enhanced CO 2 RR performances. The high surface area as well as interconnected porous structures of the catalysts provide highly accessible Ni-N sites and convenient channel for mass diffusion, which gives rise to better electron transfer, lower interface resistance and high electrolyte/gases transport in the CO 2 RR. Thanks to these structural advantages, the optimized catalyst demonstrated efficient convert CO 2 into CO with a current density of 10.2 mA cm−2 (113 mA mg−1), a FE CO of 95.1%, a production rate of 542 μmol m−2 s−1 (36.1 μmol mg−1 min−1), and outstanding electrochemical stability at a moderate over-potential of 0.54 V (vs. the RHE). Abstract

Abstract As for the dynamical networks which consist of some high-dimensional nonlinear systems, the problems that researchers are concerned with are usually the asymptotic convergence on some components (rather than all components) of node's state variables under certain condition. This means that partial component synchronization is more meaningful than identical synchronization in some cases. In this paper, the definition of partial component synchronization is given, and then the problem of partial component synchronization on a class of chaotic dynamical networks is investigated. By using matrix theory, stability theory and the hypothesis that several components in the solution vector of a single uncoupled node are ultimately dissipative, some sufficient conditions on partial component synchronization in the chaotic dynamical networks are derived. Finally, numerical simulations are shown to demonstrate the correctness of the theoretical results.
