A 65-mer peptide (Se–CuZn–65P) is an enzyme mimic with antioxidant activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GPX). The metallic selenopeptide imitate was obtained through a single protein production system and cysteine auxotrophic expression technique, and it enters cells in the assistance of the trans-activator of transcription peptide. Because Se–CuZn–65P was provided with the antioxidant activities of SOD and GPX, it can be a potential drug for the prevention of alcoholic liver diseases. Therefore, the protective effects of Se–CuZn–65P on ethanol-induced L02 cells were evaluated in vitro. Our results revealed that Se–CuZn–65P significantly protected the hepatocytes against ethanol-induced cell cytotoxicity which displayed by increase of cell viability, migration and decrease of reactive oxygen species (ROS), malondialdehyde (MDA), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), aspartate aminotransferase (AST). Furthermore, the experiments of TUNEL assay, flow cytometry assay, expression levels determination of apoptosis-related gene (Bad, Bax, Bcl-xL, Bcl-2) and protein (pro-caspase3, PARP cleavage) indicated that Se–CuZn–65P inhibited ethanol-induced L02 cell apoptosis. Mechanically, Se–CuZn–65P could attenuate the oxidative damage of mitochondria in ethanol-induced L02 cells. Se–CuZn–65P prevented ethanol-triggered ROS and MDA generation in L02 cells and inhibited the release of the AST and LDH. Se–CuZn–65P also restored the equilibrium of proapoptotic and antiapoptotic genes including Bad, Bax, Bcl-xL, and Bcl-2. And the reduction of procaspase-3 and the cleavages of PARP were attenuated by Se–CuZn–65P. Thereby, the L02 cell apoptosis were significantly prevented by treatment with Se–CuZn–65P, mainly due to attenuation of oxidative stress. In summary, Se–CuZn–65P could prevent ethanol-induced liver injury through enhancing hepatocyte antioxidant abilities in intracellular.

A micro-sphere array laser gain medium cooled by refractive index-matched coolant was demonstrated for the first time to our knowledge. The new concept is possessed of potential to improve thermal management, to increase the thermal load capacity and to build large scale laser medium with small-sized solid laser materials. The feasibility was experimentally proved with an oscillator experiment in which reliable laser output was observed: the maximum output was 113.3 mJ for the pump energy of 765.8 mJ, the threshold was 131.7 mJ and the slope efficiency was 19%. Promising improvement could be achieved by employing methods for maintaining accurate refractive index matching during the lasing process.

A series of neodymium-doped lanthanum fluoride nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized with hydrothermal method, and the effects of several ligands on the luminescence properties of the NPs were investigated. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results indicated that the crystal phases of the modified NPs coincided with the standard spectrum. The transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed that the samples were of similar size, shape and dispersibility. The infrared spectra suggested that the content of OH groups as quenchers on the NPs surfaces decreased after modification. Compared with NPs modified by branched paraffin ligands, NPs conjugating ring-contained modifiers had less quenching effect and possessed stronger fluorescence intensity and longer fluorescence lifetime.

In this paper, based on abundant data from Sina Weibo, we perform a comprehensive and in-depth empirical analysis of repostings and draw some conclusions. First, in regards to quantity, reposting takes up a large proportion of daily microblog activity. Second, the depth of repostings follows an exponential distribution and the first three orders of repostings hold 99 percent of the total amount of reposting, which provides an important foundation for solving the question of Influence Maximization. Third, the time interval for repostings also obeys exponential distribution. Therefore, we have built a dynamic information propagation model in terms of conclusions drawn from Weibo data and the Continuous-Time Markov Process. Due to the basis of the temporal network, our proposed model can change with the time and structure of a network, thus giving it good adaptability and predictability as compared to the traditional information diffusion model. From the final simulation results, our proposed model achieves a good predictive effect.

A recursive algorithm for the two-stage empirical frequency-domain optimal parameter (EFOP) estimation method was proposed. The EFOP method was a novel system identification method for Black-box models that combines time-domain estimation and frequency-domain estimation. It has improved anti-disturbance performance, and could precisely identify models with fewer sample numbers. The two-stage EFOP method based on the boot-strap technique was generally suitable for Black-box models, but it was an iterative method and takes too much computation work so that it did not work well online. A recursive algorithm was proposed for disturbed stochastic systems. Some simulation examples are included to demonstrate the validity of the new method.

In this paper, the Active Power Filter direct current side voltage control method has been improved. On the basis of the traditional PID, it proposes a complex controller with a combination of fuzzy control and PID control in order to improve the control system's performance. Through MATLAB simulation, the correctness and feasibility of the method are verified.

Whether the Chinese monetary policy can contain the inflation effectively, domestic theorists did not have a definitive conclusion until now. This article uses Akaike info criterion ADF examination, Johansen cointegration test, Granger cause and outcome test to analyze the effectiveness of China monetary policy in restraining the inflation in the period July 2005 to July 2008. The results show that inflation inertial RMB appreciation pressure offset china monetary policy effectiveness.

This article demonstrates a diode-pumped pulse laser operation in a flowing fluid host containing Nd-glass particles, transversely pumped by 810nm laser diodes. A series of Laser pulse as the output are observed. The repetition frequency is 1Hz, and the pulse width is about 100μ s , and the maximum pulse energy is up to 2.93mJ, and the average pulse energy is 0.84mJ. Given that fluid circulation offers improved heat management, the realization of laser output of this new fluid state laser verifies a practical way to solve the heat-induced problems in high energy laser systems.
