Abstract

A novel supramolecular polymer metallogel (QP5‐AlG) has been constructed by cross‐linking of bis‐8‐hydroxyquinoline functionalized pillar[5]arene with Al3+. The metallogel QP5‐AlG shows light blue aggregation induced emission (AIE) in DMSO/H2O binary solution. Interestingly, the QP5‐AlG shown multiple external stimuli‐responsive behaviors such as temperature, guest compounds, acid, base and so on. The QP5‐AlG can be used as a fluorescent material for detection of Fe3+, F‐, trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) and triethylamine (TEA) by different fluorescence states ("on" or "off"). The (limits of lowest detection) LOQs of the QP5‐AlG for Fe3+, F‐, TFA and TEA are in the range of 4.39 × 10‐9‐1.82 × 10‐7 M. More interestingly, a QP5‐AlG‐based rewritable and erasable fluorescent platform was demonstrated, which offers a potential testbed for performing "write‐erase‐write" cycles multiple times. Abstract

Background: Capn4 and ZEB1 play important roles in the metastasis of several types of cancer. However, the roles and relationship of Capn4 and ZEB1 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remain unclear. Methods: ESCC tumor tissues and corresponding normal esophageal epithelial tissues were obtained from 86 patients undergoing resection surgery at the Department of General Surgery, First Affiliated Hospital of Chinese PLA General Hospital from 2012 to 2017. Cell migration and invasion were examined via quantitative real‐time PCR and Western blot assay. Results: Our results indicate that both Capn4 and ZEB1 are significantly upregulated in ESCC tissues compared to corresponding adjacent tissues, and a positive correlation between expression and associated malignant characteristics was found. Silencing of Capn4 expression markedly inhibited ESCC invasion and metastasis in vitro and in vivo, and was accompanied by decreased ZEB1 expression. Furthermore, the anti‐metastasis role of Capn4 silencing was reversed by ZEB1 overexpression, whereas knockdown of ZEB1 decreased ESCC metastasis driven by the upregulation of Capn4. Mechanistically, Capn4 regulated ZEB1 expression via activation of the Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway in ESCC cells. Conclusion: Overall, our results show that enhanced Capn4 expression activates the Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway, resulting in increased ZEB1 expression and the promotion of ESCC cell metastasis. 134. Empirical Research on the Factors of Chinese City Growth in the Transitional Period

Abstract

Based on the definition of the concept of city growth, the paper mainly discussed the factors which impact the growth of Chinese cities in the transitional period by selecting the proportion of city construction land area to the area of the city X1（%）, green coverage ratio of the built up area X2（%）, the ratio of personnel involved in the secondary industryX3（%）, the GDP per capita X4（×104）and other 43 indicators, by relying on the relevant data from China Urban Statistical Yearbook（2008）, by applying SPSS statistical software and by applying the Factor Analysis and Regression Analysis. The results show that the factors which affect the city growth have four major groups, namely economic and institutional factors, location factors, environmental factors and social cultural services and functions. Among the factors which affect Chinese city growth, the general budgetary expenditures and the general budgetary revenues of local public finance are the most important factors. The general budgetary expenditures of local finance, the general budgetary revenues, the lands of urban construction and other 12 factors obtained by gradually excluding method can be used to present the coefficient of city growth.

Abstract

A pair of new enantiomeric stilbene dimers, (+)- and (-)-cajanusine [(+)-1 and (-)-1], with a unique coupling pattern were isolated from the leaves of Cajanus cajan. Their structures including absolute configurations were elucidated on the basis of comprehensive spectroscopic and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses, as well as CD calculations. The plausible biogenetic pathway of I was also. proposed. Additionally, (+/-)-1, (+)-1, and (-)-1 exhibited inhibitory activities on the growth of human hepatocellular carcinoma cells.
