Idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN) with deposits of phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) antigen in glomerular tissue (GAg+) but no circulating serum PLA2R antibody (SAb−) has been reported. However, little is known about the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of this subtype. A total of 74 IMN patients with GAg + identified by kidney biopsy were enrolled in this study. We categorized patients into two groups based on the presence or absence of serum PLA2R antibody. Data on clinical features, pathological features, and outcomes were collected. Kaplan–Meier analysis of complete remission (CR) and partial remission (PR) comparing SAb−/GAg + and SAb+/GAg + patients. Cox proportional hazards models was used to examine factors associated with CR and PR. Among 74 IMN patients, 14 were SAb−/GAg+. Compared with SAb+/GAg + patients, SAb−/GAg + patients presented with higher levels of albumin, lower levels of cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (all p <.01), but similar pathological manifestations of kidney biopsy. Multivariate logistic analyses indicated that low albumin (0.79 [95%CI: 0.66–0.95], p =.01) and high cholesterol (1.81 [95%CI: 1.02–3.19], p =.04) were correlated with seropositivity of PLA2R antibody. SAb−/GAg + patients exhibited a significantly higher probability of CR (p =.03) than patients who were SAb+/GAg+. However, no difference was found in the PR rate. Cox regression analyses showed that compared to SAb+/GAg + patients, SAb−/GAg + was more predictive of complete remission (4.28 [95%CI: 1.01–18.17], p =.04). Mood disorders affect over 300 million individuals worldwide, often characterized by their chronic and refractory nature, posing significant threats to patient life. There has been a notable increase in mood disorders among American adolescents and young adults, with a rising number of suicide attempts and fatalities, highlighting a growing association between mood disorders and suicidal outcomes. Dysregulation within the neuroimmune–endocrine system is now recognized as one of the fundamental biological mechanisms underlying mood and mood disorders. Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), a novel mediator of mood behavior, induces anxiety-like and depression-like phenotypes through its receptors LPA1 and LPA5, regulating synaptic neurotransmission and plasticity. Consequently, LPA has garnered substantial interest in the study of mood regulation. This study aimed to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of lysophosphatidic acid and its receptors, along with LPA receptor ligands, in mood regulation and to explore their potential therapeutic efficacy in treating mood disorders. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using the PubMed and Web of Science databases, identifying 208 articles through keyword searches up to June 2024. After excluding duplicates, irrelevant publications, and those restricted by open access limitations, 21 scientific papers were included in this review. The findings indicate that LPA/LPA receptor modulation could be beneficial in treating mood disorders, suggesting that pharmacological agents or gintonin, an extract from ginseng, may serve as effective therapeutic strategies. This study opens new avenues for future research into how lysophosphatidic acid and its receptors, as well as lysophosphatidic acid receptor ligands, influence emotional behavior in animals and humans. After implantation of the Mg alloy in the human body, the adsorption of plasma protein on surface will cause a series of cell reactions and affect the degradation of Mg alloys. Herein, in vitro biological reactions of the ZK60 and AZ31 Mg alloys are analyzed in plasma protein environment. Combined with mass spectrometry analysis of the type of adsorbed proteins, it is shown that proteins such as fibrinogen, vitronectin, fibronectin, and prothrombin are prone to get adsorbed on the surface of the alloys than other proteins, leading to the promotion of MG63 cell adhesion and proliferation. The effect of selected proteins (fibrinogen, fibronectin, and prothrombin) on degradation of ZK60 and AZ31 Mg alloys is investigated using immersion tests. The degradation of AZ31 Mg alloy is significantly restrained with the presence of proteins. This is due to the protein adsorption effect on the sample surface. The molecular dynamics simulation results indicate that both fibrinogen and fibronectin tend to adsorb onto the AZ31 rather than ZK60, forming a stable protein layer on the AZ31 Mg alloy retarding the degradation of the samples. As to ZK60 alloy, the addition of protein inhibits the degradation in the short term, however, the degradation increases after a long time of immersion. This study develops a comprehensive genotype-phenotype model for predicting the effects of resistance training on leg press performance. A cohort of physically inactive adults (N=193) underwent 12 weeks of resistance training, and measurements of maximum isokinetic leg press peak force, muscle mass, and thickness were taken before and after the intervention. Whole-genome genotyping was performed, and genome-wide association analysis identified 85 novel SNPs significantly associated with changes in leg press strength after training. A prediction model was constructed using stepwise linear regression, incorporating seven lead SNPs that explained 40.4% of the training effect variance. The polygenic score showed a significant positive correlation with changes in leg press strength. By integrating genomic markers and phenotypic indicators, the comprehensive prediction model explained 75.4% of the variance in the training effect. Additionally, five SNPs were found to potentially impact muscle contraction, metabolism, growth, and development through their association with REACTOME pathways. Individual responses to resistance training varied, with changes in leg press strength ranging from −55.83% to 151.20%. The study highlights the importance of genetic factors in predicting training outcomes and provides insights into the potential biological functions underlying resistance training effects. TiAl pre-alloyed powder is the foundation for additive manufacturing of TiAl alloys. In this work, TiAl pre-alloyed powder was prepared using a plasma rotating electrode process (PREP). The effects of electrode rotating speeds and current intensity on the microstructure and characteristics of TiAl pre-alloyed powder have been investigated in detail. The results show that the electrode rotating speeds mainly affected the average particle size of the powder (D50). As the electrode rotating speed increased, the D50 of the powder decreased. The current intensity mainly affected the particle size distribution of the powder. As the current intensity increased, the particle size distribution of the powder became narrower, which was concentrated at 45~105 μm. In addition, the current intensity had a significant effect on the sphericity degree of the powder with the particle size > 105 μm, but it had little effect on that <105 μm powder. TiAl pre-alloyed powder with a particle size > 45 μm demonstrated a dendritic + cellular structure, and the <45 μm powder had a microcrystalline structure. The powder was mainly composed of the α2 phase and γ phase. There were two kinds of phase structure inside the powder, namely the α2 + γ lamellar microstructure (particle size < 45 µm) and the α2 + γ network microstructure (particle size > 45 µm). The phase structure of the powder was related to the solidification path and cooling rate of molten droplets in the PREP. The average thickness of the α2 + γ lamellar was about 200 nm, in which the lamellar γ phases were arranged in an orderly manner in the α2 phase matrix with a thickness of about 20 nm.
