Pour soutenir les acteurs impliqués dans l’application de ces politiques de protection (travailleuses enceintes, gynécologues–obstétriciens, entreprises), le département de santé, travail et environnement d’Unisanté propose une consultation spécialisée en médecine du travail. Les gynécologues peuvent y référer leurs patientes dans le cas où l’entreprise ne dispose pas d’un médecin du travail attitré.

AbstractWe establish a pathwise large deviation principle for affine stochastic volatility models introduced by Keller-Ressel (2011), and present an application to variance reduction for Monte Carlo computation of prices of path-dependent options in these models, extending the method developed by Genin and Tankov (2020) for exponential Lévy models. To this end, we apply an exponentially affine change of measure and use Varadhan’s lemma, in the fashion of Guasoni and Robertson (2008) and Robertson (2010), to approximate the problem of finding the measure that minimizes the variance of the Monte Carlo estimator. We test the method on the Heston model with and without jumps to demonstrate its numerical efficiency.

Internet of things (IoT) applications encompass home-automation, health, transportation, etc. The main objective of these applications is to improve user's lives. However, security and privacy threats and the lack of adapted security mechanisms could significantly reduce their development and slow-down their adoption. Several researches have been conducted in order to find solutions for securing the IoT systems and reduce, even eliminate risks for user's privacy. One of the proposed solutions is context-aware security, which enables to consider relevant contextual information while implementing security mechanisms. In this paper, we will conduct a survey of context-aware security solutions that have been proposed for smart city IoT applications. Indeed, these applications have a great impact on citizen's life. For each solution, we will provide critical analysis in terms of secure context-aware management, security and privacy mechanisms. Then, we will identify the different research directions for better context-aware security in these applications.

The purpose of this study was to assess the inter-observer and intra-observer reproducibility of the interpretation of CT arthrography and plain X-rays for scapholunate advanced collapse (SLAC), scaphoid non-union advanced collapse (SNAC) and scaphoid chondrocalcinosis advanced collapse (SCAC) wrist conditions, as well as the clinical relevance of these imaging modalities. The CT and X-rays images were reviewed twice in a blinded and randomized manner by two experienced orthopedic surgeons specialized in hand surgery, two orthopedic surgery residents and two experienced radiologists specialized in bone and joint imaging. Cohen's kappa and Fleiss’ kappa coefficients were used to analyze the reproducibility of interpretation of the radiological examinations. With CT arthrography, the overall diagnosis was often a problem, in terms of both inter- or intra-observer reproducibility. The assessment of the joint line appeared to be fairly reproducible for each observer but was poorly reproducible between different observers. Plain X-rays are not sufficient to assess cartilage quality in degenerative wrist disease. CT arthrography is a reliable examination, but its interpretation is not always standardized. Diagnostic arthroscopy may be justified in doubtful cases.

L’épuisement professionnel ou burnoutest en augmentation dans les pays occidentaux. En Suisse, en 2022, la part de collaborateurs se sentant émotionnellement épuisés dépasse, pour la première fois depuis 2014, la barre des 30 %. Malgré les conséquences pour les personnes, leurs familles et les entreprises, peu de services de réadaptation semblent disponibles en Suisse occidentale pour celles et ceux dont la situation s’est détériorée jusqu’au burnout.

Depuis 2001, la Suisse a introduit l’Ordonnance sur la Protection de la Maternité (OProMa) dans la législation sur le travail. Toute entreprise avec des postes de travail à risque doit faire réaliser par un médecin du travail, un hygiéniste du travail ou un ergonome habilité une analyse de risques (AR) spécifique à la maternité. En l’absence d’AR et en cas d’activités dangereuses ou pénibles suspectées, le gynécologue doit rédiger un certificat d’inaptitude. Ce certificat implique que la travailleuse reste à domicile et l’employeur doit lui verser 80 % de son salaire. Le certificat d’inaptitude peut être levé par le gynécologue une fois que l’employeur fait réaliser une AR et applique les aménagements de poste permettant le retour au travail sans dangers de la TE ou propose un poste de reclassement jugé équivalent sans risque.

Certaines activités professionnelles dangereuses ou pénibles peuvent nuire à la santé des employées enceintes et de leurs futurs enfants. En Suisse, une réglementation spécifique vise à protéger les employées enceintes tout en leur permettant d’exercer une activité professionnelle. Néanmoins, son application est lacunaire. Depuis 2015, le Département de santé, travail, environnement d’Unisanté dispense une consultation spécialisée en médecine du travail pour les employées enceintes référées par leurs gynécologues dans le cas où l’entreprise ne dispose pas d’un médecin du travail attitré. Ce dispositif unique en Suisse permet de soutenir les parties impliquées dans l’application des politiques de protection de la maternité au travail (travailleuses enceintes, gynécologues-obstétriciens, entreprises).

In this paper, we are interested in the concept of green networking and the solutions brought by cognitive radio technology in this field. The purpose of this work is to find a mechanism that minimises energy consumption by integrating it in a cognitive radio network. For this, we have used the Q-learning algorithm, a reinforcement learning technique that will help the cognitive users to find the optimal channel that has a low transmission power by guaranteeing the needs of their application and therefore a reduction in the energy consumption of their batteries while minimising interference in the network. The obtained results are very satisfactory because we have shown that through the integration of the Q-learning algorithm in a cognitive radio network, we have been able to significantly reduce the energy consumption and the interferences of the cognitive radio terminals and therefore we have satisfied the service of green networking.

In this paper, we present a Pareto optimal multi-objective optimisation for parallel dynamic programming algorithm applied in cognitive radio ad hoc networks. To measure the performance of our contribution, we have used a multi-core architecture. The parallel version of the dynamic programming is implemented with the concept of Pareto. To select the most compromising solution from the Pareto front, Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is used in this paper. We have also implemented a meta-heuristic (cuckoo search) with the Pareto principle in order to validate our proposal. Our simulations approve the desired results, showing significant gain in terms of execution time. The main objective is to allow a cognitive engine to use an exact method and to have better results compared to the use of meta-heuristics while satisfying QoS parameters.

Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), known for its role during sexual differentiation, is a dimeric glycoprotein that belongs to the transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) family. AMH has recently been identified as a reliable marker of ovarian reserve that can help predict early ovarian follicle loss and menopause onset. AMH levels also reflect the effects of damaging gynecologic surgeries or gonadotoxic treatments such as chemotherapy on ovarian reserve. Furthermore, AMH participates in the diagnosis of certain diseases such as granulosa cell tumors or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Currently used to establish patient profiles and predict ovarian response to stimulation, its role in ART techniques is crucial. Nevertheless, AMH appears to be a weak independent predictor of qualitative outcomes such as implantation, pregnancy, and live birth. As the reliability and reproducibility of AMH dosage have raised many doubts due to different existing standards and thresholds, an international consensus is still expected to improve AMH measurement and interpretation.

In this paper, we investigate the use of cognitive radio systems in medical data transmission. Therefore, based on the state-of-the-art, we propose a complete cognitive-radio communication architecture for eHealth systems. The goal is to point out significant technical challenges required for more flexible and effective transmissions in eHealth contexts. After that, we study connectivity, interference management and performance criteria in cognitive-radio based eHealth systems. For connectivity, we show that cognitive-radio technology allows exploring opportunistically frequencies to find available channels. Then, to avoid interference, we propose a strategy-based management plan to reduce disruption risks. An example of strategy, frequency hopping, is then implemented and tested. Finally, we analyse the performance of our proposal for some categories of medical data. We propose therefore a function that reinforces the cognitive radio decision-making and spectrum sharing modules by controlling some quality parameters.

Design Observations of wild chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes schweinfurthii) were conducted in Kibale National Park, Uganda, at the sites of Sebitoli and Ngogo.Results We report the first two cases of cleft lip in wild chimpanzees. Additionally, some other chimpanzees in the Sebitoli community show facial dysplasia and congenital anomalies, such as patches of depigmented hairs and limb defects.Conclusions Cleft lip has been documented in several species of nonhuman primates, but much remains unknown about the occurrence of cleft lip and cleft palate in great apes, probably because such malformations are rare, wild apes are difficult to monitor and observe, and severe cases associated with cleft palates render suckling impossible and lead to early death of infants. The genetic basis of such defects in great apes warrants investigation, as does the possibility that environmental toxins contribute to their etiology in Kibale in ways that could affect humans as well.

Successful fracture repair requires restoration of bone morphology and mechanical integrity. Recent evidence shows that fractured bones of neonatal mice undergo spontaneous realignment, dubbed “natural reduction.” Here, we show that natural reduction is regulated by the proprioceptive system and improves with age. Comparison among mice of different ages revealed, surprisingly, that 3-month-old mice exhibited more rapid and effective natural reduction than newborns. Fractured bones of null mutants for transcription factor Runx3, lacking functional proprioceptors, failed to realign properly. Blocking Runx3expression in the peripheral nervous system, but not in limb mesenchyme, recapitulated the null phenotype, as did inactivation of muscles flanking the fracture site. Egr3knockout mice, which lack muscle spindles but not Golgi tendon organs, displayed a less severe phenotype, suggesting that both receptor types, as well as muscle contraction, are required for this regulatory mechanism. These findings uncover a physiological role for proprioception in non-autonomous regulation of skeletal integrity.
