Bakgrund: Blöjavvänjning påbörjas allt senare i västvärlden och studier visar att det har negativa konsekvenser på barns hälsa. BHV-sjuksköterskan träffar familjen kontinuerligt och bör samtala om blöjavvänjning. Det saknas dock studier om BHV-sjuksköterskors arbete med blöjavvänjning. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka BHV-sjuksköterskors arbete med blöjavvänjning. Metod: En kvalitativ metod med induktiv ansats baserad på tio intervjuer med distriktssköterskor verksamma inom barnhälsovården i Blekinge. En kvalitativ innehållsanalys gjordes utifrån Graneheim och Lundmans beskrivning. Resultat: Studiens analys resulterade i temat Det handlar om att kunna förmedla kunskap, se möjligheter och ta hänsyn till varje familjs förutsättningar samt fyra kategorier och elva underkategorier. Kategorierna var Samtal om blöjavvänjning med familjen, Konkret vägleda vårdnadshavare vid blöjavvänjning, Omständigheter som kan inverka vid blöjavvänjning samt Inhämta kunskap och ta hjälp av andra i arbetet med blöjavvänjning. Slutsats: Resultatet visar att BHV-sjuksköterskor arbetar med blöjavvänjning utifrån varje enskild familjs behov. Studien kan användas för att öka kunskapen om BHV-sjuksköterskors arbete med blöjavvänjning och hur vårdnadshavare och barn kan mötas i samtalet.

This paper analyses the feminist revisionism of the Circe-myth in the rewritings by Eudora Welty, Margaret Atwood, and Madeline Miller. To that end, the paper first examines three different ways of discussing rewritings: Jeremy M. Rosen’s genre of minor-character elaboration, Linda Hutcheon’s take on postmodern parody, and Alicia Ostriker’s feminist revisionist mythmaking. Then, after positioning itself with the feminist revisionism, the paper conducts a brief reading of the myth as it appears in the Odyssey, followed by readings of the three rewritings: Welty’s short story “Circe,” Atwood’s poetry cycle “Circe/Mud Poems,” and Miller’s novel Circe. Through the reading of these works together, a pattern emerges of criticising former representations, exploring why they are problematic, and resisting them in order to create change.

Att bli utsatt för trauma kan medföra hot för liv och hälsa. Dödsfall vid trauma kan varaorsakat av flertalet skador som exempelvis skalltrauma men de flesta dödsorsakernauppkommer till följd av massiv blödning. Ambulanssjukvården är en viktig del av vården föralla traumapatienter. Tidig prioritering, ingripande och transport kan vara den enda chansenför patienten att överleva. En patient som blivit utsatt för ett trauma har ett stort behov avomvårdnad och att omgående få optimala medicinska åtgärder. Tranexamsyra ären antihemorragisk substans för behandling vid massiv blödning och är relativt nyinsatt i demedicinska behandlingsriktlinjerna för ambulanssjukvården i Sverige. Däremot finns detregionala skillnader i hur och när det ska ges. När riktlinjerna skiljer sig åt är det svårt att vetavad som är bästa för patienten och vad som gynnar patientens omvårdnad och hälsa. Syftet med studien var att belysa hur patientens hälsa påverkas genom att på skadeplatsadministrera tranexamsyra vid trauma. Som metod har litteraturöversikt genomförts med 15 studier publicerade mellan åren 2012–2020. I resultatet framkom fem kategorier: Tranexamsyras effekt på mortalitet, risken förbiverkningar för patienten vid administrering av tranexamsyra, påverkan på patientenskoagulation och behandling vid administrering av tranexamsyra, påverkan på patientenberoende på tid till behandling med tranexamsyra och administrering av tranexamsyra irelation till vårdtid och funktionalitet. Slutsats var att tranexamsyra kan minska mortaliteten hos patienter som drabbats avtrauma om det ges i tidigt skede. Minskad blödning och mortalitet sågs även för patienter medtraumatisk hjärnskada. Behandling med tranexamsyra vid trauma minskade behandling medblodprodukter och sågs minska blödning för patienter. Generellt visade flera studier attbiverkningarna var få för tranexamsyra och övergripande slutsats är att tranexamsyra gynnarpatientens hälsa och omvårdnad om det ges prehospitalt av ambulanssjuksköterskan.

Emerging Infections Program Clostridioides difficile Infection Working Group: Lauren Korhonen, Brittany Martin, Geoffrey Brousseau, Wendy Bamberg, Elizabeth Basiliere, James Meek, Rebecca Perlmutter, Maria Bye, Tory Whitten, Emily B. Hancock, Rebecca Tsay, Deborah Nelson, Trupti Hatwar, Valerie L.S. Ocampo, Miranda D. Smith, Ashley Paulick, Michelle Adamczyk, BACKGROUND Efforts to prevent Clostridioides difficile infection continue to expand across the health care spectrum in the United States. Whether these efforts are reducing the national burden of C. difficile infection is unclear. METHODS The Emerging Infections Program identified cases of C. difficile infection (stool specimens positive for C. difficile in a person ≥1 year of age with no positive test in the previous 8 weeks) in 10 U.S. sites. We used case and census sampling weights to estimate the national burden of C. difficile infection, first recurrences, hospitalizations, and in-hospital deaths from 2011 through 2017. Health care–associated infections were defined as those with onset in a health care facility or associated with recent admission to a health care facility; all others were classified as community-associated infections. For trend analyses, we used weighted random-intercept models with negative binomial distribution and logistic-regression models to adjust for the higher sensitivity of nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) as compared with other test types. RESULTS The number of cases of C. difficile infection in the 10 U.S. sites was 15,461 in 2011 (10,177 health care–associated and 5284 community-associated cases) and 15,512 in 2017 (7973 health care–associated and 7539 community-associated cases). The estimated national burden of C. difficile infection was 476,400 cases (95% confidence interval [CI], 419,900 to 532,900) in 2011 and 462,100 cases (95% CI, 428,600 to 495,600) in 2017. With accounting for NAAT use, the adjusted estimate of the total burden of C. difficile infection decreased by 24% (95% CI, 6 to 36) from 2011 through 2017; the adjusted estimate of the national burden of health care–associated C. difficile infection decreased by 36% (95% CI, 24 to 54), whereas the adjusted estimate of the national burden of community-associated C. difficile infection was unchanged. The adjusted estimate of the burden of hospitalizations for C. difficile infection decreased by 24% (95% CI, 0 to 48), whereas the adjusted estimates of the burden of first recurrences and in-hospital deaths did not change significantly. CONCLUSIONS The estimated national burden of C. difficile infection and associated hospitalizations decreased from 2011 through 2017, owing to a decline in health care–associated infections. New research has shed light on the origin of the Danish glass beads dating to the BronzeAge and the increase in long-distance exchange during this period. This has provided newknowledge about glass beads during the Bronze Age, which unlocked the question of whatit looks like in the rest of Scandinavia. To get a broader perspective I have chosen to studythe first evidence of early craft sites where glass beads were made in Scandinavia. Then acomparison is made between the Bronze and Iron Ages from a broader perspective, whichincludes both the use of glass beads and the glass productions sites. I have therefore chosento study glass beads from a long-term perspective, from the introduction of the first glassbeads in Scandinavia during the Early Bronze Age until the Vendel period when the firstglass beads were manufactured in Scandinavia. By studying glass beads from a long-termperspective, we can learn more about the significance of glass beads in society.

In this thesis, material properties for a CLT element have been examined with regard to the structure of theelement and its content of different types of wood. The focus has been on how Birch affects the properties,since its properties in shear are much better compared to the commonly used pine and spruce.Calculations have been made in python script within the Rhino 6 software and its Grasshopper plugin.Grasshopper basically works with coding but with a visual interface that is very user friendly. This programhas been used because of its parametric structure which makes changes in the structure very simple andthe whole model changes with the changes in parameters.The basis for the survey has been the following parameters:• Number of layers within the KL element• Widths of lamellae• Thicknesses of lamellae• Material properties of Birch, Pine and Spruce• Quotas between Birch, Pine and SpruceThe results show that the shear stiffness of the CLT-element increases with the amount of birch. The value ofthe G-moduli, however, does not only depend on the amount but the positioning as well. The shear stiffnessis the greatest when the birch is placed closest to the middle of the element.The conclusion made is that further investigation of the practical and economical aspects are required to makean informed decision about whether the use of birch or increased board width is the most efficient method ofimproving the shear stiffness of CLT.

According to the SBU-report (2014), a conscious and systematic training of the students phonological awareness, is of great importance for the students further progress in reading. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether intensive reading with Wendick's (2015) reading lists in full-class make a measurable difference of the students reading speed and flow, compared to a control group. At the same time the study investigated the educators and students experience of the method. The study is a mixed method with a qualitative and a quantitative part. During four years, the reading speed was measured prior to four-week experiment periods with pupils in grade one at a school. The students in the experiment group read the reading lists every day at school in pairs. After four weeks, the reading speed was measured for both the experiment and the control group. The result was complemented with qualitative interviews of the educators and a selection of the students to take their experience into consideration regarding this way of educating. The result showed that the reading lists has a measurable difference on the reading speed and flow, and that the method operates in a satisfactory manner.

”It`s easy peasy to learn” – A study of childrens conception of their own learning, based on interviews. Denna studie undersöker hur barn på förskolan ser på sitt eget lärande. Tidigare studier visar hur barn anser att de lär sig på förskolan men att de har svårare att förklara hur de lärt sig det. Syftet med studien är att belysa barns perspektiv på deras eget lärande i förskolan. Frågorna som ställs är vad barn anser att de lär sig i och hur de gör det. Studien utgår från ett barns perspektiv med fenomenografi som ett analytiskt redskap. Metoden som använts för att samla in empiri är intervju. Metodansatsen är kvalitativ, där de beskrivningar som görs i analysen av empirin grundar sig i den sociala samvaron. Resultatet av denna studie visar att barn mycket väl anser att de lär sig på förskolan. Det fanns inga tveksamheter när det gällde vad de lärt sig. Många exempel framkom, som att cykla, klättra högt, bygga, springa. Vidare berättade barnen att de lärt sig vissla, sjunga pussla och spela spel. Några av barnen visade en högre medvetenhet kring det egna lärandet. Det kunde vara vetskapen om att huggormar är fridlysta, att hundar inte får vara lösa i skogen på våren. Hur barnen lärt sig visade sig vara lite svårare till en början att svara på för vissa. Dock kunde flertalet beskriva och visa hur de gjort. De övade och tränade, gång på gång tills de kunde det.
