In the present article, inspired by the work of Jleli et al. [J. Inequal. Appl. 2014, 38 (2014)] and [J. Inequal. Appl. 2014, 439 (2014)] in metric spaces, we proposed a new class of contractive mappings termed as: fuzzy Θf-contractive mappings by using an auxiliary function Θf : (0, 1) → (0, 1) satisfying suitable properties. This class has further been weakened by defining the class of fuzzy Θf-weak contractive mappings to realize yet another class of contractive mappings. Thereafter, these two newly introduced classes of contractive mappings are utilized to establish some fixed point theorems in M-complete fuzzy metric spaces (in the sense of George and Veeramani). In this paper, we introduce a new class of degenerate Hermite poly-Bernoulli polynomials with q-parameter and give some identities of these polynomials related to the Stirling numbers of the second kind. Some implicit summation formulae and general symmetry identities are derived by using different analytical means and applying generating functions. Functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotubes (F-MWCNTs)/Co–Ti oxide nanocomposites and neat Co–Ti oxide nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical reduction method. The scanning electron microscopy micrographs show that the bimetallic NPs in F-MWCNTs/Co–Ti are present in dispersed form while the neat Co–Ti nanoparticles were found in agglomerated form. The formation of nanocomposites and neat Co–Ti nanoparticles was also confirmed by energy-dispersive X-ray. Both types of nanocomposites were employed as photocatalyst for the photodegradation of Rhodamine B in aqueous medium under UV light irradiation. The photodegradation study was performed via UV–Vis spectrophotometer. The photodegradation results show that F-MWCNTs/Co–Ti oxide NPs degraded about 93.35% dye within 150 min irradiation time while the neat Co–Ti oxide NPs degraded about 91.76% dye within same irradiation time. The F-MWCNTs/Co–Ti can be easily removed and recycled due to its bulky composite nature as compared to neat Co–Ti oxide NPs. Multiwalled carbon nanotubes/copper and titanium oxides (MWNTs/Cu–Ti) and Cu–Ti composites were synthesized by wet chemical precipitation method and were used as photocatalysts for photodegradation of alizarin red dye in aqueous media. The morphological study presented that MWNTs are well covered by Cu–Ti. The formation of Cu–Ti was confirmed by energy dispersive X-rays (EDX) and X-rays diffraction (XRD). The MWNTs/Cu–Ti degraded about 92.51% within 180 min. The effect of other parameters like pH, catalyst dosage, and concentration of dye on the photocatalytic degradation was also studied. AbstractMnO and Ba-doped MnO NPs were prepared through the chemical reduction method and these NPs were used for the photodegradation of Methylene blue dye (MB) dye in an aqueous medium. The morphological study shows that the MnO NPs have granular shapes while Ba-doped MnO NPs have irregular spherical shapes. XRD results presented that the diameter of MnO and Ba-doped MnO NPs was 30 and 36 nm, respectively. FTIR spectra show peaks in the range of 750–1385 cm−1, which present the metal oxide NPs. The photocatalytic degradation study demonstrated that the MnO and Ba-doped MnO NPs degraded about 73 and 86% dye within 250 min, respectively. The effect of various parameters like pH, initial dye concentration, and catalyst dosage on the photodegradation of dye was also studied. In this article, we prove some existence and uniqueness results for g-increasing mappings under φ-contraction condition in ordered metric spaces wherein φ is a comparison function (often called Matkowski-type nonlinear contraction). Our main results generalize several core results due to Ran and Reurings [25], Nieto and Rodríguez-López [22,23] and Agarwal et:al [1] beside several others. The chemical reduction method was used to synthesize nickel oxide particles (NiO) and NiO supported on titanium dioxide (NiO/TiO 2 nanocomposite). The composites were characterized through scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. The morphological investigation showed that pseudocubic NiO are present in dispersed as well as agglomerated forms. Whereas NiO particles (<200 nm) are evenly deposited over the surface of TiO 2 in NiO/TiO 2 composite. The formation of NiO and NiO/TiO 2 was also verified by XRD analysis. The synthesized NiO and NiO/TiO 2 were used as photocatalysts for the degradation of Orange II (OII) dye. According to the degradation investigation, both NiO and NiO/TiO 2 composite degraded OII dye more efficiently when exposed to UV light. The results indicated that NiO degraded 93% and NiO/TiO 2 composites degraded approximately 96% of OII dye within 30 min. Both photocatalysts are highly sustainable and have significant OII dye degradation recyclability. Moreover, NiO and NiO/TiO 2 exhibited promising bioactivities (antioxidant activity of 80%) against the pathogenic bacteria Citrobacter and Providencia , which is comparable with the standard ascorbic acid (88%).
