104. A Novel Non-Isolated Bidirectional DC-DC Converter with Improved Current Ripples for Low-Voltage On-Board Charging

Abstract

This paper presents a novel single-phase non-isolated bidirectional buck converter topology. The proposed converter uses a basic switching cell structure with a coupled inductor and an interleaving switching scheme. This article addresses a crucial challenge in bidirectional DC-DC conversion by prioritizing reducing output current ripples and minimizing filter inductor size. The employed method includes using MOSFETs with fast recovery diodes to mitigate reverse recovery and body diode losses. Furthermore, the optimization of the switching frequency of the output inductor to be twice the actual switching frequency contributes to reducing the component size of the converter. The coupled inductor also helps to reduce stress on components by distributing currents among its legs. The experimental result demonstrates the proposed converter has a very low ripple current as compared to the conventional converter. The low current ripples and smaller filter inductor size enabled by high-frequency operation have improved the efficiency and size of the converter. A common ground between input and output terminals ensures robust performance without common mode current concerns. Overall, the proposed converter represents a significant improvement in DC-DC converters, promising enhanced efficiency, reliability, and compactness in bidirectional DC-DC conversion systems. In order to verify the performance of the proposed converter, a 460 W buck converter prototype was built and tested.

Abstract

For a graph $G$ without isolated vertices, the inverse degree of a graph $G$ is defined as $ID(G)=\sum_{u\in V(G)}d(u)^{-1}$ where $d(u)$ is the number of vertices adjacent to the vertex $u$ in $G$. By replacing $-1$ by any non-zero real number we obtain zeroth-order general Randi\'c index, i.e. $^0R_{\gamma}(G)=\sum_{u\in V(G)}d(u)^{\gamma}$ where $\gamma$ is any non-zero real number. In \cite{xd}, Xu et. al. determined some upper and lower bounds on the inverse degree for a connected graph $G$ in terms of chromatic number, clique number, connectivity, number of cut edges. In this paper, we extend their results and investigate if the same results hold for $\gamma<0$. The corresponding extremal graphs have been also characterized., Comment: pages 14, Fig. 1

Abstract

Calcined diatomaceous earth (CDE) with a maximum grain size of 143 μm was used to partially replace 5 and 10% of cement in ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) mixtures. The other materials used in producing the concrete include Ordinary Portland Cement, iron ore powder, and river sand with maximum grain sizes 112.5, 231, and 766.2 μm, respectively. Moreover, the UHPC specimens designed with a water–cement ratio of 0.2 and a superplasticizer of 1.5% from the cement weight were tested for flow, compressive strength, flexural strength, splitting tensile strength, durability against NaCl and Na2SO4 attack, and resistance to 400, 500, and 600°C temperatures. The results showed that the use of 5 and 10% CDE to replace cement was able to increase the compressive strength, flexural strength, splitting tensile strength, the durability of UHPC against NaCl, and Na2SO4, as well as its resistance to high temperatures but reduced the mixture flow.

Abstract

In this study, the effects of calcined diatomaceous earth (CDE), polypropylene fiber (PF), and glass fiber (GF) on the mechanical properties of ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) were observed, and a total of 33 UHPFRC mixtures, consisting of 3 mixtures without fiber, 15 mixtures with PF, and 15 mixtures with GF were prepared. Subsequently, the fresh concrete mixtures were tested for flow, while the hardened concrete specimen’s mechanical properties were analyzed. These tests include compression, splitting tensile, and flexural tests. The test results showed that the use of 5 and 10% CDE as a binder for cement replacement improved the compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and flexural strength of the UHPFRC. Furthermore, the addition of PF and GF contents of up to 1% of the concrete volume increased the compressive strength of the UHPFRC, while their contents of up to 1.5% improved their splitting tensile strength and flexural strength. It is also important to note that the workability of the UHPFRC reduced as the fiber and CDE contents increased. Finally, based on the experimental data tested in this study, the relationship between splitting tensile strength, flexural strength, and compressive strength of the UHPFRC containing PF and GF were proposed. Moreover, the reduction in flow value, which is a function of the volumetric content of both PF and GF, with the CDE contents was also proposed.

Abstract

For mammals, l-valine, which is a glycogen, is an essential amino acid. A protein made of 20 amino acids, salicylidene and l-valine make the carboxylate ligand which is the base of chiral Schiff. On a large scale, complexes with the ligand are utilized to help in the research work. To locate the exact location of a specific node from all the nodes, the entire node set is developed in a specific manner by choosing a particular subset and this subset is known as the resolving/locating set. This study contributed to the metric dimension of chemical complexes of supramolecular chain in dialkyltin from N-salicylidene-l-valine. We considered the complexes of 2,3,4 and (Cλ⁎)({C}_{\lambda }^{\ast }) chains and proved that the members of resolving sets are highly dependent on the number of vertices.
