Reservoir computing (RC) systems can efficiently forecast chaotic time series using the nonlinear dynamical properties of an artificial neural network of random connections. The versatility of RC systems has motivated further research on both hardware counterparts of traditional RC algorithms and more-efficient RC-like schemes. Inspired by the nonlinear processes in a living biological brain and using solitary waves excited on the surface of a flowing liquid film, in this paper, we experimentally validated a physical RC system that substitutes the effect of randomness that underpins the operation of the traditional RC algorithm for a nonlinear transformation of input data. Carrying out all operations using a microcontroller with minimal computational power, we demonstrate that the so-designed RC system serves as a technically simple hardware counterpart to the ‘next-generation’ improvement of the traditional RC algorithm.

Introduction. In the process of demolition and dismantling of emergency buildings, as well as during construction and reconstruction, more than 70 million tons of construction waste are generated annually in Russia. The circular economy is based on the principle of resource renewal, recycling of secondary raw materials, technological measures to return waste to the repeated economic turnover. Nowadays the problem of saving natural resources and reducing construction waste is especially urgent. About 80% of construction waste is heavy and light reinforced concrete, from which can be produced secondary crushed stone, increasing the use of which is one of the tasks in the transition of linear economy to a circular economy. Materials and methods. The study of the implementation of a set of organizational, economic and technological solutions aimed at the reuse of construction waste was carried out. The analysis was carried out on the example of using secondary aggregates obtained from concrete scrap. Results and discussions. In the course of the research the necessity of concrete scrap involvement into repeated economic turnover was proved, as its use in construction fully meets the requirements of the set tasks in the field of energy and resource saving and environmental safety. Conclusion. Recycled crushed stone is a valuable resource that contributes to the sustainable development of the economy as a whole and reduces the harmful impact of the construction industry on the environment.

The new method of time-averaged speckle images and the well-known method of speckle-field interference studied the development of plastic deformations occurring during multicycle fatigue of structural steel. The correctness of strain determination by the new method is evaluated by comparing the data obtained by the two methods. Two optical systems including laser modules with different wavelengths were investigated. The proposed optical system allows to determine the components Δuy, Δuz of the relative displacement vector of two surface points located at a distance (measurement base) Δs = 66 μm. The known scheme makes it possible to describe deformations by the traditional method on the base of 470 μm. The object of study was a flat specimen made of 09Г2С steel with two side notches. Fatigue tests were carried out on a resonance-type machine at different cycle amplitudes. It is shown that at all cycle amplitudes the development of plastic deformations occurs by the mechanism of cyclic creep. There is a good correlation between the data obtained by two different speckle methods. At the same time, the strain estimated by the new method is in some cases an order of magnitude higher than the strain calculated by the known method. Obviously, this is due to the existence of local smallsized (of the order of 101 μm) strain areas which cannot be measured by conventional methods. The ultimate tensile strain Δuy/Δs calculated by the new method is of the order of 10–1, which coincides with the similar strain occurring in tensile testing of standard specimens. The results obtained by the new method justify the need of developing sensors and nondestructive testing devices of a new generation, allowing to estimate the time to fatigue crack initiation by the rate of change of physical quantities and by their limit values.

In this work, based on the analysis of sources of information that are in the public domain, the major threats and challenges to the petroleum products market in the context of national security are identified. The concept of national security, its connection with other types of security and the place of the market of petroleum products in these relations are considered. A model of relations between the petroleum products market in the circle of national security has been built. For the petroleum products market of Ukraine, an analysis of factors that are threats and challenges both common to all countries and specific to Ukraine is carried out. The study identifies the main threats to the petroleum products market in Ukraine, including: the possibility of losing supplies due to the lack of medium-term and long-term contracts; intersection of interests of exporting and importing countries, which is reflected in their use of specific means of solving problems; blockade of ports, destruction of existing petroleum depots; the difficulty of creating a stock of petroleum products due to the vulnerability of warehouses or petroleum depots; problems with own production of petroleum products due to the destruction or damage of existing facilities for production of petroleum products and the vulnerability of places of extraction of raw materials for petroleum products; almost complete dependence on imports; political pressure on the petroleum products market both from exporting countries and domestic political pressure. The challenges to the market include the growth of the logistics leverage, the change in the preferences of buyers from gasoline in favor of diesel fuel and the rupture of previous logistic chains with the need to create new, as well as unplanned changes in transportation due to changes in the situation at the State borders. There is also a growing demand for the use of rail and sea transport for the supply of petroleum products to the markets of Ukraine. In this regard, an additional challenge is to pursue a reasonable pricing policy in these conditions in order to prevent a sharp increase in prices in the petroleum products market.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the processes of bone remodeling and osteoreparation in modeling femoral fracture in mice with zero expression of 11β-HSD2 (11β-HSD2-/-) or both 11β-HSD2 and apolipoprotein e (11β-HSD2-/-/ApoE-/-). Materials and Methods: The experimental study was conducted on 60 male mice weighing 24-30 g. The study used male mice that lacked the expression of 11β-HSD2 (knockout mice with the Hsd2-/- genotype) and male mice that lacked the expression of 11β-HSD2 and apolipoprotein E (double knockout mice with the Hsd2-/-/ApoE-/- genotype). The control group includes wild type C57bl/6 animals. Modeling of a fracture of the proximal metaphysis of the femur was performed in animals at the age of 6 months using a closed technique. Fracture fusion and bone remodeling and osteoreparation processes were evaluated 6 weeks after fracture modeling. Results and Discussion: It has been shown that a violation of the regulation of steroid hormone metabolism in groups of animals with the Hsd2-/- and Hsd2-/-/ApoE-/- genotypes leads to an increase in the number of ungrown fractures by 3 and 3.5 times, respectively, in comparison with wild-type animals. It was found that the microcirculation level of the proximal metaphysis of the left femur in the area of the formed bone callus in the group of animals with the genotype 11β-HSD2-/- significantly decreased from 92.075±4.33 perfusion units (PE) in the group of wild-type animals to 82.67±3.54 PE (p=0.0002) in the group of animals with the genotype HSD2-/- and up to 75.85±5.64 (p

In this article, the authors consider the prerequisites for creating a single operator of urban passenger transportation. This organization is necessary to control the operation of all types of urban passenger transport. The prerequisites are problems in the field of urban passenger transport: poor quality of public transport services, which leads to numerous complaints and dissatisfaction of passengers. A single operator of urban passenger transportation will help solve these problems, as it will monitor the quality of services provided by carriers. The purpose: to analyze the prerequisites for creating a single operator of urban passenger transportation in modern cities. Method or methodology of the work: statistical analysis and synthesis were used in the article. Results: the problems of urban passenger transport are identified, which are prerequisites for the creation of a single operator of urban passenger transportation, namely, low indicators of the quality of passenger transport services according to various criteria Scope of application of the results: research activity on the development of new approaches in the field of organization of transportation and transport services.

In this article, the authors consider issues related to the efficiency of the use of electric transport in cities. Currently, environmentally friendly modes of transport, including means of individual mobility, are becoming increasingly relevant. To determine the prospects for the development of electric transport in cities, it is necessary to evaluate the performance indicators of its work. Based on the experience of using electric transport, it can be concluded that the development of this type of transport in the cities of our country is a promising direction. The purpose: the purpose of this study is the efficiency of the use of electric transport in cities. Within the framework of achieving the set goal, it is necessary to solve the following tasks: analysis of the characteristics and effectiveness of various types of electric transport; analysis of the experience of using electric transport in urban conditions. Method or methodology of the work: when conducting research, the authors used such research methods as analysis, practical modeling. Results: to date, the following results have been achieved: comparative costs of electric transport and other types of urban transport have been analyzed. The international experience of using electric transport is analyzed. The technical characteristics of vehicles, the consumption of electrical energy, the possibility of charging and operation in urban conditions are considered. Scope of application of the results: research activity on the development of new approaches in the field of organization of transportation on vehicles with alternative energy sources.

This work is the first part of a large bibliographic review of active queue management algorithms of the Random Early Detection (RED) family, presented in the scientific press from 1993 to 2023. The first part will provide data on algorithms published from 1993 to 2005.

In this article, using the example of a multi-channel exponential queueing system with reordering of requests, we study the problem of computer construction of the state space and coefficient matrix of a system of equilibrium equations. As a result, general principles for solving problems of this type are formulated.

Abstract The lipid prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) mediates inflammatory pain by activating G protein-coupled receptors, including the prostaglandin E2 receptor 4 (EP4R). Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) reduce nociception by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, however, the disruption of upstream prostanoid biosynthesis can lead to pleiotropic effects including gastrointestinal bleeding and cardiac complications. In contrast, by acting downstream, EP4R antagonists may act specifically as anti-inflammatory agents and, to date, no selective EP4R antagonists have been approved for human use. In this work, seeking to diversify EP4R antagonist scaffolds, we computationally dock over 400 million compounds against an EP4R crystal structure and experimentally validate 71 highly ranked, de novo synthesized molecules. Further, we show how structure-based optimization of initial docking hits identifies a potent and selective antagonist with 16 nanomolar potency. Finally, we demonstrate favorable pharmacokinetics for the discovered compound as well as anti-allodynic and anti-inflammatory activity in several preclinical pain models in mice.

The influence of Eu doping (0.5, 1 and 2 mol.%) and annealing in an oxygen-deficient atmosphere on the structure and optical properties of SnO2 nanoparticles were investigated in relation to electronic structure. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns revealed single-phase tetragonal rutile structure for both synthesized and annealed Eu-doped SnO2 samples, except for the annealed sample with 2 mol.% Eu. The results of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) emphasized that europium incorporated into the SnO2 host lattice with an oxidation state of 3+, which was accompanied by the formation of oxygen vacancies under cation substitution of tetravalent Sn. Moreover, XPS spectra showed the O/Sn ratio, which has been reduced under annealing for creating additional oxygen vacancies. The pulse cathodoluminescence (PCL) demonstrated the concentration dependence of Eu site symmetry. Combination of XRD, XPS and PCL revealed that Eu doping and following annealing induce strongly disordering of the SnO2 crystal lattice. Our findings provide new insight into the interaction of rare-earth metals (Eu) with host SnO2 matrix and new evidence for the importance of oxygen vacancies for optical and electronic structure formation.

The article presents an empirical research of the problem of educational edification in the axiological plane, analyzes scientific literature, history, and strategies of edificatory changes in response to contemporary challenges in primary education, substantiates the features of cultural and historical and pedagogical processes related to the changes in pedagogical mentality in the context of edification and the new paradigm of education. The essence of edifying changes in the sphere of human culture and educational activity as a part of this culture are analyzed, including systematized general historical and pedagogical and general pedagogical foundations of edification in elementary education through educational dialogue as the means of active formation of a personality of the younger student. It is established that valuable and epistemological anthropocentrism determine the specifics of social philosophical analysis of the role of human-centric education, that sociocentrism of the sociological approach promotes the integration of modern theories into a unified methodological educational strategy, and that in the world a hermeneutical-dialogical tradition has been created, according to which a person develops through action and dialogue that which connects him with culture and the world. The credibility of the research results was confirmed by means of a Mann-Whitney U-test and the accuracy criterion for the differences of averages of the student's t-test for independent selections. On the basis of the research conducted the problems and directions are defined, and strategic, general pedagogical means of changes bringing edification through educational dialogue in primary education are outlined as an effective direction of its reformation.

The article summarizes that the establishment and development of common language educational space of the EU were caused by an aggregated impact of external factors in the form of social, economic, and political processes within European integration as well as by intra-system factors. Both the institutional and legal base and the open method of coordination in the sphere of language education at the EU level create difficult intra-system and external ties, providing the integrity of the educational space. The creation of a common language educational space is based on conceptual frameworks determining the content of educational policy at European and national levels. Modern trends of higher education have been analysed through the multicultural aspect of society. The assumption about the appropriateness of continuous language training of students as the basis to form skills for intercultural communication has also been made. To check the credibility of results achieved during research and development works methods of mathematical statistics have been used. They included non-parametric methods of results comparison, which according to Kyveryalg are the most appropriate while professional analysis of pedagogical phenomena. It is explained by the fact that there is a limited number of quantity indicators obtained as a result of pedagogical studies (four levels of intercultural communication skills) in the science of pedagogy. The results proved the effectiveness of the developed methodology, which is based on the implementation of context-based learning techniques while learning a foreign language (English) by students.
