In an e-mail from April 17, 2023 Eduardo Antonio Molinari-Novoa drew our attention to the fact that the new combination Zorniella obscura is invalid as a result of the fact that no express reference is made (cf. art. 41.5 of the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants) to the original page and illustration in the article by Senowbari-Daryan and Di Stefano (2001). In order to rectify this mistake, we publish again the text of the note with the respective specification.

This paper deals with a nonlinear Volterra delay evolution inclusion subjected to a nonlocal implicit initial condition. The evolution inclusion involves an $m$-dissipative operator (possibly multivalued and/or nonlinear) and a noncompact interval. We first consider the evolution inclusion subjected to a local initial condition and prove an existence result for bounded $C^0$-solutions. Then, using a fixed point theorem for upper semicontinuous multifunctions with contractible values, we obtain a global solvability result for the original problem. Finally, we present an example to illustrate the abstract result.

The only economic activity that showed an increase both in volume and intensity of air pollutants, despite a downward trend of farming activities output is agriculture. Technology improvements play a significant role in mitigation of PM2.5 emissions and a moderate role in mitigation of PM10 emissions. For N2O emissions technology used contributed to an increase of N2O intensities.Conclusion: Health policy makers should address the issue of technology improvements and mitigation of agriculture emissions to improve health of individuals and air quality.Keywords: pollution, habitat depreciation, respiratory diseases, technology improvement

The study of the carbonate clasts and matrix of a problematic sedimentary formation (the Gugu Breccia) from the Pădurea Craiului Mountains reveals new information concerning its depositional environment and stratigraphic position. The identified microfacies and micropaleontological assemblages demonstrate that all the sampled limestone clasts from the Gugu Breccia represent remnants of a fragmented Urgonian-type carbonate platform. The Barremian age of the clasts suggests that the stratigraphic position of the Gugu Breccia at its type locality could be uppermost Barremian-lowermost Aptian, a fact demonstrated also by the absence of elements from Lower Cretaceous carbonate platforms higher in the stratigraphic column (e.g., Aptian or Albian) of the Bihor Unit. The sedimentological observations together with the matrix mineralogy bring new arguments for the recognition of terrigenous input during the formation of the Gugu Breccia.

Dragastanella transylvanica n. gen. n. sp. is described. Its calcified skeleton contains numerous voids, partly related to the molds of soft parts of the alga, but also related to lack of calcification. Interpretation of these voids, especially their attribution to original structures (e.g., primary lateral versus reproductive organ), has important implications for the taxonomic position of the alga, even at the family level. Examination of key sections that include the boundary between sterile and fertile parts of the alga excludes the occurrence of external reproductive organs. Unusual, paired pores in the outer part of the mineralized skeleton reflect an asymmetry within the whorl, excluding the presence of secondary laterals. The alga is characterized by a cylindrical to club-shaped thallus bearing only phloiophorous primary laterals arranged in whorls and flaring outwards, forming a cortex. Mineralized lenticular reproductive organs containing cysts set in the equatorial plane (Russoella-type gametophores) occur inside primary laterals (cladosporous arrangement of the reproductive organs). These characters support establishment of the new genus Dragastanella. Dragastanella transylvanica n. gen. n. sp. resembles species previously referred to Zittelina (Zittelina hispanica and Zittelina massei) and Triploporella (Triploporella matesina and Triploporella carpatica). Except for Triploporella carpatica, whose mineralized skeleton does not permit confident attribution to either Triploporella or Dragastanella n. gen., the other species must be ascribed to Dragastanella n. gen. Therefore, the following new combinations are proposed: Dragastanella hispanica n. comb., Dragastanella massei n. comb., and Dragastanella matesina n. comb. Despite widely overlapping biometrical measurements, these species can be differentiated by the size and location of their reproductive organs, the pattern of calcification around the primary laterals, and relationships among structural parameters such as the size of laterals, number of laterals per whorl, and distance between whorls.

The Anisian depositional history in the Western Tethys realm provides the possibility to study the stepwise opening of the Neo-Tethys, and is well preserved in the sedimentary record of the Northern Calcareous Alps. Whereas the depositional characteristic in the Early (to early Middle) Anisian is characterized by shallow-water carbonates, formed in a semi-restricted environment, the situation changed in the Middle Anisian. A rapid increase of subsidence resulted in an abrupt deepening event with deposition of deeper-water limestones, in some cases even with chert nodules, sometimes with resedimented shallow-water debris intercalated in radiolaria-filament wackestones, or with clayey or marly intercalations. This abrupt deepening, termed the Annaberg Event, is followed by a shallow-water carbonate evolution. The deeper-water limestones can be dated by conodonts and shallow-water organisms like calcareous algae or foraminifera from the resedimented intercalations as Late Bithynian to Early Pelsonian. In contrast to the Early Anisian microbial carbonates, formed under semi-restricted conditions, the Middle Anisian (Pelsonian) shallow-water carbonates were formed under fully marine influence and a diverse fauna and flora was, therefore, able to counterbalance the rapid subsidence by increasing carbonate production. During Middle Anisian times, the newly tectonically created accommodation space became rapidly filled by shallow-water carbonates. At the end of the Middle Anisian (Late Pelsonian), the final break-up of the Neo-Tethys led to a rapid decrease of carbonate production and widespread deposition of deep-marine and condensed limestones. This drowning event (Reifling Event) was accompanied by the formation of a horst-and-graben morphology, dated by conodonts and ammonoids as late Middle Anisian from overlying condensed limestones. In contrast to the well-known drowning event in the late Middle Anisian, precursor events to the final oceanic break-up of the Neo-Tethys have not yet been described, but play an important role in the reconstruction of the opening history of the Neo-Tethys. This knowledge gap is filled by the analysis of exactly datable sedimentary successions in the central Northern Calcareous Alps.

Septfontainella (type-species S. carpatobalcanica n. sp.), a new genus of larger benthic foraminifera (family Hauraniidae, subfamily Amijiellinae) is described from the upper Berriasian of the Carpatho-Balkanides, eastern Serbia and Romania (Southern Capathians), both part of the Getic domain. It is characterized by large elongate dimorphic tests with a reduced coiled stage and a rectilinear-uniserial adult part with chambers displaying a coarse and irregular subepidermal network. Triangular-shaped first order radial partitions extend into the chamber lumen attaching to the succeeding septum. Septfontainella gen. nov. is compared with the Lower Jurassic Cymbriaella Fugagnoli and the Lower Cretaceous Bramkampella Redmond. Septfontainella n. gen. further substantiates the occurrence of a Berriasian origination event of larger benthic foraminifera in inner carbonate platform facies of the Neotethysian realm.

Based on material from the area of Rafsanjan, Central Iran (P.? iranica Bucur et al.), and southeastern France (type-species P. fragilis Conrad), the genus Pseudoactinoporella Conrad is revisedwith respect to thallusmorphology and suprageneric classification. Reported as possessing a cylindrical or presumably club-shaped thallus, Pseudoactinoporella was assigned to the tribe Salpingoporellinae. In fact, P.? iranica represents a species displaying a capitulum-shaped, stalked thallus whose original description refered to the stalk only. The stalk of P.? iranica shows a spinose aspect due to individualized laterals and is well calcified. The “head” (capitulum) only preserves a thin wall displaying a pattern of cup-like depressions each with a central pore communicating with the fully cemented interior and interpreted as a cortex. P. fragilis is typically presented by trumpet-shaped fragments belonging to the stalk and the transition to the unpreserved (eroded? uncalcified?) “head”. For both species, a goniosporate reproduction type (= ampullae disposed laterally along the ramifications) is assumed herein. Due to these characteristics, it appears reasonable to leave apart the generic uncertainty of P. iranica as expressed in the original description. Consequently, Pseudoactinoporella is removed from the Salpingoporellinae and assigned to the family Bornetellaceae and the tribe Bornetelleae.

Carbonate deposits from the easternmost part of the Getic Carbonate Platform form good quality outcrops in the Postăvaru and Piatra Mare Massifs (Patrulius 1976). The average thickness of the carbonate succession reaches 400 m in these areas (Patrulius 1976). In the Postăvaru Massif, the Mesozoic succession consists of Upper Jurassic−Lower Cretaceous carbonate deposits which are covered by upper Albian−Cenomanian Conglomerates (Săndulescu 1964). In the Piatra Mare Massif, the carbonate succession comprises Callovian−Berriasian olistoliths which are embedded in the general mass of the upper Aptian Conglomerates (Săndulescu et al. 1972). We collected approximately 600 limestone samples from various sections, in the Postăvaru and Piatra Mare Massifs.The following sections are located in the Postăvaru Massif: Valea Dragă, Drumul Albastru, Larga Mare, Vârful Postăvaru, Muchia Cheii-Trei Fetițe, Trei Fetițe-Poiana Secuilor, Trei Fetițe-Cabana Postăvaru.Detailed sampling was performed in the Piatra Mare Massif, in the following sections: Bunloc Est, Bunloc Vest, Cariera Bunloc, Cheile Baciului, Cabana Piatra Mare, Valea Gârcinului, Șura de Piatră, Șura de Piatră-Vârful Piatra Mare, Piatra Scrisă, Coada Pietrei Mari, Șirul Stâncilor, Peștera de Gheață, Prăpastia Ursului and Tamina.The following facies associations were identified: bioclastic intraclastic grainstone/rudstone, coral-microbial boundstone, packstone to floatstone with pelagic microfossils, bioclastic packstone-grainstone, peloidal oncoidic packstone-grainstone, bioclastic grainstone with black pebbles, wackestone with cyanobacteria nodules, fenestral wackestone, non-fossiliferous mudstone. The micropaleontological association contains dasycladalean algae [Salpingoporella pygmea (Gümbel), Petrascula bursiformis Etallon, Aloisalthella sulcata (Alth), encrusting organisms [Bacinella type structures, Crescentiella morronensis (Crescenti), Koskinobulina socialis Cherchi & Schröder, Radiomura cautica Senowbari-Daryan & Schäfer, Perturbatacrusta leini Schlagintweit & Gawlick, Taumathoporella parvovesiculifera (Raineri)], foraminifera [Bramkampella arabica Redmond, Coscinoconus alpinus (Leupold), Coscinoconus delphinensis (Arnaud-Vanneau et al.), Coscinoconus sagittarius (Arnaud-Vanneau et al.), Frentzenella involuta (Mantsurova), Protopeneroplis striata Weynschenk, Protopeneroplis ultragranulata Gorbatchik] and pelagic microorganisms (Calpionella alpina Lorenz).The identified microfacies types indicate that carbonate material was deposited in two distinct depositional settings. The first one includes slope to basin areas while the second one comprises inner platform depositional environments. The presence of abundant C. alpina and various representatives of the genus Coscinoconus (C. delphinensis, C. sagittarius) indicates that deposition continued in the area at least until the lower Berriasian.
