プログラム理解の時間を減らすための技術として，プログラムスライシングが提案されている．プログラムスライシングは，プログラム内のある文を基準として，その文に影響を与える可能性のあるすべての文をプログラムスライスとして抽出する技術である．しかし，大規模プログラムの場合は，プログラムスライス自体が非常に大きくなってしまい，プログラム理解への利用は難しい．Thin Slicingは，開発者の選んだ文が使用するデータを生成した文のみを抽出することで，プログラムスライスのサイズを減らす技術である．しかし，一般にThin Slicingが，どの程度の大きさのプログラムスライスを抽出するのかは示されていない．本研究では，7個のJavaプログラムのすべてのデータフローを対象にThin Sliceを計算し，そのサイズに関する統計的評価を行った．その結果，Thin Sliceのサイズは平均でプログラムの2.2%であり，60から80%のスライスでは0.1%以下と十分小さくなることを確認した., Program slicing is a technique which supports program comprehension. Program slicing extracts all statements - called a program slice - that may affect a certain statement. However, program slicing is not useful if an analysis target program is too large since program slices of such a program are also often too large. Thin slicing is a technique reducing the size of program slice by extracting only statements producing data which is used by a selected statement. However, the size of Thin Slice in general has not been revealed. In this paper, we computed Thin Slices for every data-flow path in 7 Java programs, and then performed statistical evaluation. As a result, the average size of Thin Slice is 2.2% of a program. Furthermore, 60 to 80% of Thin Slices are 0.1% or less.

In this paper, we will add a feature to ModiChecker to support developers resolving AE declarations. Also, we will explore the relation between AE and program evolution, by analyzing multiple versions of an OSS program, Ant.

ソフトウェアの品質向上は，ソフトウェア開発や保守の効率を高めるために重要な活動である. リファクタリングはソフトウェアの品質を保つために重要な作業であるが，複雑な作業を伴うため，開発者には多くの知識や経験が要求される. 本研究では，プログラムスライスに基づく凝集度を用いたメソッド抽出リファクタリング支援手法について評価実験を行った. その結果，手法の有効性の有無，有効に働く場合の条件について知見を得た., Software quality improvement is one of the important activities to enhance the efficiency of development and software maintainability. Refactoring makes software easier to understand and change. However，the criteria of understandability and maintainability are different among developers. In this study, we performed the evaluation of the technique supporting extract method refactoring used by slice-based cohesion. As a result, we found the efficacy of the technique and conditions which the technique work effectively.

一般に，ソースコードやライブラリの再利用はソフトウェア開発における生産性や信頼性，コスト等の改善に繋がると言われている．一方でソースコードの再利用は，対象となるソースコードを十分に理解し，利用する必要があるため，非常に困難なタスクであると考えられている．そのため，再利用しやすいソースコードの特徴や開発者がどのようなときに再利用を行うかといった既存の再利用動向の分析は，再利用支援において非常に重要である．しかしながら，複数のプロジェクトを対象とした再利用分析において，具体的に誰がどのような再利用を行っているかを定量的に分析した事例は非常に限られているのが現状である．そこで本研究では，コードクローン検出ツールと版管理システムを用い，複数プロジェクトを対象としたコードクローン利用者と作成者の分析手法を提案し，実際にOSSを対象とした分析を行った．その結果，開発者ごとに再利用動向が異なり，分析を進める価値があることを示した．, In the software industry and OSS projects, it is said that code reuse could improve productivity and reliability of software development, and reduce development time. In many software dvelopment organizations, reuse of existing libraries and source code is recommended. Developers in such organizations are required to implement reusable source code and reuse existing reliable source code. On the other hand, source code reuse is especially difficult task because the reuse requires developers to understand the source code fully. In order to encourage such reuse, it is significant to analyze developers' reuse vehaviors in the existing projects. However, there exists few analyses about reuse behaviors for each developer. In a software development organization, developers usually belong to multiple projects. An existing research indicated that the situation of the reuse differs by developers, and a developer who recognizes merits of reuse often reuses. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a source code reuse analysis for each developer over two or more projects with using multiple software repositories. As a result, we show that source cede reuse analysis in consideration of the difference between each developer is worthy to be conducted.

コーディング中に作業を遡りソースコードを以前の状態に戻す作業を手戻りという. 手戻りは故障(failure)が発生し，バグがどこにあるか分からない場合などに，プログラムを正常に動く状態に戻すためによく行われる. 手戻りを支援するツールとしてはSubversion等のパージョン管理システム(VCS) や，EclipseなどのIDE においてソースコードに加えた編集作業を記録し，改訂履歴を提供するローカルヒストリー機能が存在する. しかしながら，VCSで記録される変更履歴はバグ修正持の手戻りを行うには粒度が荒すぎることが多い.また，ローカルヒストリー機能では作業履歴が自動で保存されるため，コードの構成要素を分断する形で作業履歴が保存される場合がある. 結果として，プロジェクト全体をパグを混入させた直前の状態に戻すことが困難になる. そこで本研究では，一定時間ごとにプロジェクトの状態を自動でパージョン管理システムにコミットし，細粒度作業履歴を保存するツールを提案する. また，それによって作成された作業履歴を状況によって分割，結合することによって，細粒度リポジトリを作成する. 評価実験として，コーディング中にツールを適用した結果，指定したコードの構成要素で構築された細粒度リポジトリ が構築できたことを確認した., Rework in coding process is usually conducted for reverting source code back to the old state in case of inducing bugs accidentally. There are some tools like Version Control Systems(VCS) and local history provided by Eclipse to support such rework. On the other hand, most of such conventional tools have granularity problems. For example, a time interval between changes of source code recorded in VCS is large relatively to revert the source code back to old state. On the contrary, local history may record source code too frequently. In this research, we propose a tool to make a fine-grained software repository automatically through developers' coding process. In our case study, we confirmed our tool could make a fine-grained repository which includes only one specific program element such as a line and a sentence in one revision.

コードクローンとは，互いに類似したコード片の組あるいはコード片の集合のことである．コードクローンの検出手法や利用方法については様々な研究がなされているが，コードクローンとなっているコード片自体がどのようなソースコードであるのかは明らかとなっていない．本研究では，コードクローン検出ツールの 1 つである CCFinder が検出するコードクローンを対象として，その中に含まれるメソッド呼び出しに着目した分析を行った．その結果，コード片ごとに多少の差異が含まれることはあるが，メソッドの中にある 「重要なメソッド呼び出し」 の記述は同一であることが多いことから，類似した処理を実装したコード片がコードクローンとして検出されていることを確認した., A code clone is a code fragment that has identical or similar portion in source code. While various code clone detection tools and their applications have been reported, source code characteristics of code clones in detail are not investigated. In this research, we have analyzed method calls involved in code clones which are detected by CCFinder. As a result, code clones often involve the same “important method calls” that likely implement a similar functionality in different source code locations.

プログラム理解において，識別子はプログラム要素をドメインの知識と対応させる重要な役割を果たしている．そのため，識別子に不適切な名前が付けられた場合，開発者はプログラムを理解するために多くの余計な時間を費やしてしまう．そこで，本研究ではオブジェクト指向プログラミング言語で記述されたソースコードから，良い命名の例として動詞--目的語関係を抽出し，メソッドの命名支援を目的とした辞書を作成する手法を提案する．実験では，いくつかのアプリケーションドメインを対象に動詞--目的語関係を収録した辞書を作成し，開発者が辞書を評価した．その結果，辞書に収録された関係が多くの場合適切であったことを確認した., An identifier is an important key in mapping program elements onto domain knowledge for the purpose of program comprehension. Therefore, if identifiers in a program have inappropriate names, developers can waste a lot of time trying to understand the program. This paper proposes a method for building a dictionary for supporting naming a method by extracting and gathering verb-object (V-O) relations, as good examples of naming, from source code written in an object-oriented programming language. For each of several application domains, dictionaries containing the V-O relations are built and evaluated by software developers. The evaluation results confirm that the relations in the dictionaries are adequate in many cases.

ソフトウェア保守においては変更時に他に及ぼす影響の大きいモジュールほど扱いが難しい．本稿では障害予測の精度向上を目的として，変更の影響波及量を定量化するメトリクス「インパクトスケール」を提案する．ソフトウェア保守において効果的な障害予測を行うには，プロダクトメトリクスとプロセスメトリクスの両方が必要といわれている．しかし，実際の保守現場においてはプロセスメトリクスの入手性は低く利用可能な状況は多くない．インパクトスケールの目的はプロセスメトリクスの得られない状況で従来のプロダクトメトリクスより効果的な障害予測を実現することであり，その影響波及モデルは確率的な波及と関係依存的な波及という特徴を持つ．インパクトスケールの有効性検証のため，2つの大規模企業システムを対象として，ポアソン回帰分析と工数考慮モデルを用いて障害予測を行う実験を実施したところ，インパクトスケールを既存のプロダクトメトリクスからなる予測モデルに追加することにより，10%検査工数における障害検出数が50%以上上昇するという結果を得た．また，既存のプロダクトメトリクスに依存ネットワーク尺度をあわせた予測モデルに対しても予測性能が上昇するという結果を得た., In software maintenance, changing modules which affect many other modules are intractable. We defined a new metric, ImpactScale, which quantifies the scale of the change impact of a module to improve the accuracy of fault prediction. Both product metrics and process metrics are required to predict faults effectively in maintenance. However, process metrics cannot be always collected in practical situations. ImpactScale is designed to improve the accuracy of fault prediction by using only product metrics under situations without process metrics. The change propagation model for ImpactScale is characterized by probabilistic propagation and relation-sensitive propagation. To evaluate ImpactScale, we predicted faults in two large enterprise systems using Poisson regression and the effort-aware models. The results showed that adding ImpactScale to existing product metrics increased the number of detected faults at 10% effort by over 50%. ImpactScale also improved the predicting model using existing product metrics and dependency network measures.

大規模なソフトウェアを効率よく作成するため，ソースファイルやライブラリなどを再利用することがある.ソースファイルやライブラリを再利用して構築したソフトウェアのライセンスはそれらのソースファイルやライブラリのライセンスを満たすものでなくてはならない.そこで，そのようなライセンスを容易に選択できるよう，既存のオープンソースソフトウェアの集合であるFedora17のソースパッケージからライセンス間の包含関係を抽出した.結果として，多数のパッケージに登場する包含関係を抽出でき，また，それらが連結することがわかった.また，抽出した包含関係によるライセンス間の到達可能性を調査し，ライセンスの矛盾が起こりうることを実例に基づき示した., Developers reuse source code files in other project and library to develop large software efficiently. A license of the software must meet their licenses. In this paper，we extract inclusion order among software licenses from open source software.We conducted empirical study using a set of source packages in Fedora 17 as a set of open source software. The result shows that we can extract inclusion order from source package and we can connect these relations. In addition，based on these inclusion relations，we also show that license inconsistency may occur.

However, many existing code is keeping on updating during their life circle. Different versions of code, even out-dated, is reused by other software and spreading all over the world. This paper presents an empirical study on the reuse of out-dated third-party source code of several famous open source libraries. Given target source code, using repository mining techniques and file clone detection techniques, we identified the different versions of code in other user projects, and discovered the vulnerability information of the out-dated versions. We also investigated how user projects manage their code. The result shows that a large proportion of open source projects are reusing out-dated third-party code, and many of them are not well managed.

コードクローンとは，ソースコード中に存在する互いに一致または類似したコード片のことである．コードクローンを検出する手法が，既存研究で数多く提案されている．しかし，既存手法では，プログラムのソースコードやバイナリファイルといった静的な情報のみを使用してコードクローンを検出している．そのため，ソースコードをコピーした後に難読化等の変更が施されると，剽窃が隠蔽されてしまうことがある．そこで，本研究では，プログラムの動的な情報である実行履歴を複数のフェイズに分割し，各フェイズのメソッド呼び出し列を比較することで，コードクローンを検出する手法の提案を行う．提案手法を実際のアプリケーションに適用した結果，難読化前後で同一のコンポーネントを識別できることと，再利用されている箇所を特定できることを確認できた., Code clone is a code fragment that has identical or similar fragments to it in the source code. Many code clone detection techniques and tools have been proposed. However, source code derived by copy-and-paste may be disguised by obfuscation because these techniques detect code clone using only static information such as source code or binary. Therefore, we propose a new clone detection technique, which divides execution trace into a set of phases, and then performs the comparison of those phases based on involved method calls. The experimental result shows that the proposed clone detection technique identified obfuscated and original classes, and an evidence of reusing source code.

Reusing existing software with or without modifications is frequently occurred to develop new large software at low cost with high quality. So far, many techniques and tools have been proposed for detecting reused pieces in source code. However, existing tools have low scalability; they spend lots of memory and time to detect reused pieces on large-scale software. In this paper, we proposed an approach for detecting reused files as well as reused code fragments, code clones for a collection of similar large-scale software products. For the case study, we applied our approach to three OSS projects and compared code clone detection time between only using CCFinder and our approach. We found that our approach takes shorter time to detect code clones.

ソフトウェアの進化において， 1 つのソースコードから複数の派生ソースコードが作られることがある．それら派生ソースコードの中から最新のバグ修正が施されたものを選択したい場合や，開発が分岐した複数のソフトウェアから機能を集約したい場合には，ソースコードの派生関係を知ることが重要になる．本研究では，類似するファイルの差分に注目することで，ソースコード集合のバージョン履歴がない状態から，ソースファイルの派生関係を自動抽出する手法を提案する．具体的には，差分の行数をもとに最小全域木を構築することで，開発者が比較を行う際に読解する差分の量を最小化する．例としてオープンソースのソースコードに手法を適用し，結果をもとに今後の課題について考察した., In software evolution, branching of development occurs in some cases. If a developer wants to select a source file to which the latest bug fixes was performed or to collect functions out of branched software, it is important to know the derivative relationships of source files. In this paper, we focus on the differences of similar files and propose an approach for automatic extraction of the derivative relationships of source files. We construct a minimum spanning tree based on the number of lines of difference. The tree minimizes the amount of difference developers read. We performed a case study with open source software and discussed for the future work.

本稿では，著者らの研究グループがある企業と行った産学連携の取り組みについて紹介する．この共同研究では，ある企業が開発している携帯端末向けソフトウェアの品質を向上させるために，残存バグを効率的に検出するシステムを開発した．新しく支援システムを開発し，2つの携帯端末用ソフトウェアに適用したところ，26個のバグを検出できた., This paper introduces an activity of academic-industrial collaboration. The aim of this collaboration is to improve quality of mobile software systems by removing latent bugs in them. A new system for automatically discovering latent bugs has been developed. The system was applied to two mobile software, so that we discovered 26 unknown bugs.

プログラム理解において，開発者はメソッドの実行中に行われるデータの入出力の調査に多くの時間を費やしている．Javaプログラムでは，メソッドを実行するために必要な入力データは，引数やフィールド，クラス変数を介して与えられる．これらの変数や，それを介して参照されるフィールドのうち，実際にメソッドの実行中に使用されるものを把握するには，注目するメソッドから呼び出されるすべてのメソッドを調査する必要がある．そこで本研究では，指定されたメソッドとそこから呼び出されるメソッドを自動的に列挙し，メソッド実行中に使用されうる引数やクラス変数とそれらのフィールドを抽出し可視化する手法を提案する．引数として渡されたオブジェクトは別の変数に代入されて使用される場合もあるが，本研究ではエイリアス解析を行い，開発者が注目するメソッドでの変数名を用いた可視化を行う．提案手法を実装したツールを用いて対照実験を行った結果，ツールを用いた被験者の方が，プログラム理解の課題の解答のための作業時間が減少したことを確認した., In program comprehension, developers often spend a lot of time for the investigation of input/output during an execution of a method. In Java program, input for a method includes arguments, fields and class variables. To identify fields and class variables used by a method, developers must invetigate all methods which may be called from the method. In this paper, we propose a tool for visualizing input of a method including fields and class variables by investigating the method and methods which may be called from it. Using alias analysis, this tool shows field access using their access paths from variables of the specified method. We performed a controlled experiment in which participants perform program comprehension tasks. The result shows the time spent for an investigation with our tool is less than the time without the tool.

ソースコード中で互いに一致または類似した部分を持つコード片のことをコードクローンと呼び，特にメソッド単位のコードクローンを類似メソッドという．もし，類似メソッドを持つメソッドに欠陥が含まれている場合，類似メソッドとなっている他のメソッドにも同様の欠陥が含まれている可能性が高く，それらを修正するのは大きなコストとなる．この問題の解決策として，類似メソッドの集約が有効であるが，類似メソッド間に差分が存在する場合，その集約は難しい．そこで，本研究では，リファクタリング作業者が選択した類似メソッド対に対して，その集約候補を提示することにより，作業を支援する手法を提案する．また，提案手法を統合開発環境Eclipseのプラグインとして実装した．実験では，オープンソースソフトウェア上の類似メソッド対に対して本手法を適用した．また，ツールによって提示された集約候補が開発者の考えに近いものであるかアンケート評価を行い，提案手法が有効であることを確認した., A code fragment that has identical or similar code fragments is called code clone. Especially, method-base code clone is called similar method. If a similar method contains a defect, a developer needs to check all of similar methods for the same defect and it needs very high cost. Merging similar methods by refactoring is one of solutions to this problem. However, it is difficult for a developer to merge similar methods with differences. In this paper, we propose an approach that supports to merge similar methods with differences by providing candidates of merging similar methods given by a developer. The proposed approach has been implemented as a plugin of Eclipse. In the case study, we applied the proposed approach to actual similar methods in open source projects. We conducted questionnaire and then investigated the similarity between candidates derived by our tool and the intention of the developers. As a result of the investigation, we confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

ソフトウェア保守における大きな問題の一つとしてコードクローンが指摘されている．コードクローンとは，ソースコード中に，互いに一致または類似した部分を持つコード片のことである．コードクローンに対する主な保守作業として，クローンセット（互いにコードクローンとなっているコード片の集合）に含まれる全てのコード片を一貫して編集する同時修正と，クローンセットを1つのサブルーチンにまとめる集約が挙げられる．本研究では，コードクローンに対する保守作業を支援することを目的としたコードクローン変更管理システムの開発を行った．そして，企業で行われているソフトウェア開発に適用することによって，本システムの有用性を確かめることができた., Code clone is one of the major problems for software maintenance. A code clone is a code fragment that has identical or similar portion in source code. In order to manage code clones, software developers should consider consistent modification of clone sets(i.e., a set of code clones identical or similar to each other) and merging clone set into a single function. In this study, we developed a code clone change management system for maintenance to them. Moreover, we confirmed the usefulness of the developed system by applying to industrial software development.

受講生が主体となってPBL形式で行われるソフトウェア開発演習では,プロジェクトの進捗に応じた振り返りが重要である.振り返りを行うためにはプロジェクトで行われた受講生ごとのタスクを正確に記録し,問題の抽出や今後の方針の提案を行う必要がある.しかしながら,受講生一人ひとりのタスク記録がどこまで正確かを講師が評価することは困難である.本稿では,DaaS環境を用いた開発活動の正確なログデータを取得可能な開発環境の構築を行い,どの様なデータを取得できるのか検証を行う., Retrospectives play an important role in a software development exercise of the project-based learning (PEL) style. To conduct retrospectives, students have to collect what they did in a project, extract problems based on their task records and make a new suggestion for project improvement. However, it is difficult for teachers to evaluate accuracy of their task records collected by students. In this paper, we propose a software development environment to obtain accurate records in development activities on DaaS (Desktop as a Service). In a case study, we show the examples of task records collected by our environment.

オブジェクト指向プログラムは,1つの処理を実行するために一時オブジェクトを多数生成する.これらのオブジェクトがどのように生成されるかを知ることは,実行している処理の内容を理解するうえで有用である.本研究では,オブジェクト指向プログラムの実行履歴から,オブジェクト間の生成関係を抽出し,有向グラフとして可視化する手法を提案する.提案手法の有効性を評価するために,ケーススタディとして,大学の演習科目で作成されたJavaプログラムの単体テストに必要なオブジェクトの生成を行うコードを,可視化された生成関係に基づいて記述した.その結果,61個のメソッドのうち,46個のメソッドのテストに必要なオブジェクトを生成するコードを記述することができ,可視化されたグラフからオブジェクトの生成関係を読み取れることを確認した., Object-oriented programs generate many temporary objects to execute a functionality. Understanding how objects are generated is useful to understand the behavior of a program. In this research, we propose a technique to identify relationship of object generation; for each object, we visualize a set of objects which affects the object construction. To evaluate our approach, we have conducted a case study on Java programs written by undergraduate students. The visualized object generation relationship enabled us to write code to generate objects for test cases for 46 of 61 methods in the programs.

プログラム理解は, ソフトウェア保守にかかるコストのうち大きな割合を占めるが, 理解の過程で識別子が果たす役割は大きい. 本研究では, オブジェクト指向プログラムにおけるメソッド名に着目し, メソッドを命名しようとしている開発者に対して, メソッド名の候補リストを提示することで, メソッドの命名を支援する手法を提案する. 候補リストの生成には, 開発者が編集中のソースコードと, 既存研究で作成された動詞-目的語関係の辞書を利用する. 提案手法を評価するため, 被験者実験を行い, メソッドの命名が手法の有無でどのように変化するかを調査した. 実験の結果, 手法を用いることで, 被験者の解答したメソッド名の動詞と, 削除されたメソッド名の動詞とが一致割合が高まったものの, 統計的に有意な差は見られなかった. 一方で, アンケート調査では, メソッド名の候補を提示するアプローチや, 提示された候補リストの内容に対して好意的な意見が多いことが分かった., In program comprehension, which takes the largest part of maintenance cost, identifiers have a big role in comprehension process. This paper proposes a technique to support naming a method in an object-oriented program by proposing candidates of the method name. The candidates are generated based on the dictionary of verb-object relations proposed in our past work, and the source file which a developer is editing. Effectiveness of the technique is evaluated by an experiment, which measures the difference of method naming between with/without the method. The result of the experiment cannot confirm a statistically significant difference while the average ratio of the correct answer is improved by the technique. On the other hand, the participants gave positive comment on our approach and/or the candidates of method name.

Most of today’s software applications are built on top of libraries or frameworks. The increasing number of cloud-based services gives rise to 3rd party frameworks that offer such services from a cloud platform. Just as applications evolve, frameworks also evolve. Such evolution is even more pronounced in frameworks that underlie cloud-based services. Upgrading is straightforward when the framework changes preserve the API and behavior of the offered services. However, major changes are introduced with the new framework release, which have a significant impact on the application. A framework user has to consider how to adjust to the new version. In this paper, we study the evolution of an application and its underlying framework through a multi-version analysis. For the analysis, we investigate two kinds of component relationships: one is component rank, the other is clone relation. Component rank measurement is a way of quantifying the importance of a component by its usage. As framework components are used by applications, the rankings of the components are changed. We confirm that upgrading to the new framework version has an impact to a component rank of the entire system. On the other hand, existence of code clone shows how application developers use existing framework code as a reference, and removal of clones shows which reuse activities were recognized as problematic. Analysis of results from these relationships provides useful insights into developers’ activities.

Choosing appropriate access modifiers is one of the key factors for easily maintainable programming. In this paper, we propose a novel analysis method named Accessibility Excessiveness (AE) for each field and method in Java program, which is discrepancy between the access modifier declaration and its real usage. We have developed an AE analyzer - ModiChecker which analyzes each field or method of the input Java programs, and reports the excessiveness. We have applied ModiChecker to various Java programs, including several OSS, and have found that this tool is very useful to detect fields and methods with the excessive access modifiers.

In this paper, we propose a novel search model, open code clone search, to explore code clones in open source repositories on the Internet. Based on this search model, we have designed and implemented a prototype system named OpenCCFinder. This system takes a query code fragment as its input, and returns the code fragments containing the code clones with the query. It utilizes publicly available code search engines as external resources. Using OpenCCFinder, we have conducted several case studies for Java code. These case studies show the applicability of our system.

データ依存関係解析は，様々なプログラム解析手法の基盤として用いられている．通常のデータ依存関係解析では，変数に代入された値がどこで参照されるかを制御フローグラフ上で計算するが，本研究では，制御フローを考慮せず，すべての代入結果がすべての参照に到達すると仮定してデータ依存関係を計算し，通常のデータ依存関係解析の結果と比較した．その結果，10 個の Java プログラムに含まれた約 58 万個のメソッドのうち，90.9% のメソッドについては，2 つの計算方法で同一の結果が得られることを確認した．また，正しい解析結果を得るために制御フローの考慮が必要なメソッドは，代入文が 2 つ以上ある変数を持つメソッドに限られており，その条件に該当するメソッドが 15.8% だけであることを示した., Data dependence analysis is employed for various program analysis techniques. Traditional data dependence analysis computes reaching definitions on a control-flow graph. In this research, we have compared the traditional analysis and our flow-insensitive analysis that assumes all assignments to a variable have control-flow paths to all statements that refer to the variable. As a result, we have found that flow-insensitive analysis could compute the correct result for 90.9% of 580 thousand methods in 10 Java programs. We have also shown only 15.8% of methods required flow-sensitive analysis since the methods have at least two assignment statements to a single variable.

開発者がオープンソースソフトウェア部品を利用する場合,それらのソフトウェアライセンス(ライセンス)を理解し,遵守する必要がある.しかし,開発者がライセンスを正確に読解することは容易ではない.そこで,部品のライセンスが既知のどのライセンスと合致しているか調べること(特定)で,ライセンス理解にかかるコストを削減したい.本稿では,オープンソースソフトウェアから抽出した知識に基づいたライセンス特定手法を提案する.使用する知識は,複数の大規模オープンソースソフトウェアから抽出した.評価として,既存のライセンス特定手法と回答率,正答率,所要時間で比較を行い,提案手法が既存の手法より優れていることを示した., Developers using OSS components have to understand and comply with the terms of their licenses. However, it is difficult to correctly understand them. To reduce this effort, we aim to identify the license names from known licenses. In this paper, we propose a license identification approach based on knowledge extracted from open source software. We compare the answer rate, the accuracy and the time required by our approach to existing license identification approaches. The result shows that our approach can identify the license of each source file more correctly than other existing approaches.

大規模なソフトウェア群中にはソースコードの等しいファイル，ファイルクローンが大量に存在する．発注先から納品されたソフトウェア製品や，新たに導入しようとしているオープンソースソフトウェアのシステム群に含まれるファイルクローンについて調べることは，システムの整理及び再構築の際やシステム群の全体像を把握するときなどに有用となる．そこで我々は大量のソースコードから高速にファイルクローンを検出できるツールFCFinderを開発し，大規模なソフトウェアシステムであり既存研究で多くのファイルクローンの存在が予測されている，FreeBSD Ports Collectionに適用した．結果として，portsの約68%のファイルがファイルクローンとなっていることが明らかになった．本論文では，FCFinderで用いているファイルクローン検出手法について説明し，FCFinderを様々なソフトウェア群に適用した結果について考察を行う.

ソフトウェアの保守を困難にしている要因として,コードクローンが挙げられる.この問題を解決する方法として,コードクローンの集約が挙げられるが,リファクタリングの熟練者でない限り難しい.これを支援する手法を政井らが提案している.この手法は,不一致部分を含み,メソッドとして抽出することが可能なコード片の候補を提示すが,候補の順序に意味を持たないため,本研究では,凝集度メトリクスを用いて候補の順位付け手法を提案する.実験では,メソッド間クローン率の高いオープンソースソフトウェアに対して本手法を適用し,利用者にとって有用な候補が上位に現れていることを確認できた., Code clone is a factor that makes software maintenance complicate. Merging code clones is one of way that reduces cost to maintain source code. However, merging code clones is difficult unless refactoring expert. Masai et al. proposed an approach for merging code clones by showing candidates of code fragments which include mismatch parts and can be extracted as a method. This approach has the problem that candidates are out of order. Therefore, the study proposes to rank candidates based on a metric cohesion. In the experiment, the proposed approach is applied to high clone ratio of Java methods in open source software. The result shows high order of candidates is suitable for users.
