118. Security Event-Trigger-Based Distributed Energy Management Of Cyber-Physical Isolated Power System With Considering Nonsmooth Effects

Abstract

Due to cyber-physical fusion and nonsmooth characteristics of energy management, this article proposes a security event-trigger-based distributed approach to address these issues with developed smoothing technique. To tackle with nonconvex and nondifferentiable issue, a randomized gradient-free-based successive convex approximation is developed to smooth economic objective function. Due to resilience ability against security issue, a security event-triggered mechanism-based distributed energy management is proposed to optimize social welfare, which coordinately controls both power generators and load demand. The security event-triggered mechanism is designed to reduce power system security risks, and relieve communication burden caused by smoothing calculation, the convergence of proposed distributed algorithm is also properly proved. According to those obtained results on both IEEE 9-bus and IEEE 39-bus systems, it reveals that the proposed approach can achieve good convergence performance and have less security risks than other alternatives, which also proves that the proposed approach can be a viable and promising way for tackling with energy management issue of cyber-physical isolated power system.

119. High variation of fungal communities and associated potential plant pathogens induced by long-term addition of N fertilizers rather than P, K fertilizers: A case study in a Mollisol field

Abstract

Nitrogen (N), phosphate (P), and potassium (K) are the three most important nutrients applied into agricultural soils, but the impacts of their single or combined application on soil fungal community structure and stability are still open questions. Using qPCR and Illumina Miseq sequencing, the variation of soil fungal communities in response to long-term addition of N, P, or K fertilization alone and their combinations in a Mollisol field was investigated in this study. In addition, the fungal community resistance indices and network structure were studied. Results showed that N fertilizations (N, NK, NP and NPK treatments) rather than P, K fertilizations (P, K and PK treatments) significantly increased fungal abundance, but decreased fungal diversity and shifted fungal community structures when compared to non-fertilization (NoF). Additionally, N fertilization treatments presented lower resistance of fungal communities to environment disturbances than those of P, K fertilization treatments. More numbers and higher abundances of changed fungal taxa at the genus and OTU levels were induced by N fertilizations rather than by addition of P, K fertilizers. In addition, N fertilizations induced a more changeable fungal network and complex pathogenic subnetwork with many positive interactions among responding plant pathogens (RP, the changeable plant pathogens induced by fertilizers addition compared to NoF) when compared to P, K fertilizations. These RP directly and negatively influenced fungal community resistance examined by structural equation modeling (SEM), which were indirectly detrimental to soybean yields. Our findings revealed that addition of N fertilizers significantly disturbed fungal communities and promoted pathogenic interactions, and provided insights into the optimization of fertilization strategies toward agricultural sustainability.

Abstract

Passion fruit is known to be sensitive to drought, and in order to study the physiological and biochemical changes that occur in passion fruit seedlings under drought stress, a hypertonic polyethylene glycol (PEG) solution (5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) was used to simulate drought stress in passion fruit seedlings. We explored the physiological changes in passion fruit seedlings under drought stress induced by PEG to elucidate their response to drought stress and provide a theoretical basis for drought-resistant cultivation of passion fruit seedlings. The results show that drought stress induced by PEG had a significant effect on the growth and physiological indices of passion fruit. Drought stress significantly decreased fresh weight, chlorophyll content, and root vitality. Conversely, the contents of soluble protein (SP), proline (Pro), and malondialdehyde (MDA) increased gradually with the increasing PEG concentration and prolonged stress duration. After nine days, the SP, Pro and MDA contents were higher in passion fruit leaves and roots under 20% PEG treatments compared with the control. Additionally, with the increase in drought time, the activities of antioxidant enzymes such as peroxidase (POD), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) showed an increasing trend and then a decreasing trend, and they reached the highest value at the sixth day of drought stress. After rehydration, SP, Pro and MDA contents in the leaves and roots of passion fruit seedlings was reduced. Among all the stress treatments, 20% PEG had the most significant effect on passion fruit seedlings. Therefore, our study demonstrated sensitive concentrations of PEG to simulate drought stress on passion fruit and revealed the physiological adaptability of passion fruit to drought stress. Abstract

Based on the Monte Carlo method, an improved risk assessment method for hybrid AC/DC power system with VSC station considering the operation status of generators, converter stations, AC lines and DC lines is proposed. According to the sequential AC/DC power flow algorithm, node voltage and line active power are solved, and then the operation risk indices of node voltage over-limit and line active power over-limit are calculated. Finally, an improved two-area IEEE RTS-96 system is taken as a case to analyze and assessment its operation risk. The results show that the proposed model and method can intuitively and directly reflect the weak nodes and weak lines of the system, which can provide some reference for the dispatching department.
