The 1000 MW Francis turbine unit at the Baihetan hydropower station is the maximum capacity unit in the world at present, and it has adopted the runner type with long and short blades. For this ultra-high output Francis turbine, especially with the breakthrough runner structure, the hydraulic excitation phenomenon caused by internal dynamic and static interference is the key factor for the stability of the unit. In this study, the 1000 MW Francis turbine unit is taken as the research object, and the rated output conditions with different guide vane openings are selected for comparative analysis. The flow field structure and the pressure pulsation characteristics inside the guide vane and runner under different openings are obtained. The distribution characteristics and evolution law of the vortex in the runner under different guide vane openings are analyzed. The results show that the dynamic and static interference between the runner and the guide vane induces the local high-speed flow to appear in the vaneless area, and the larger the guide vane opening, the smaller the dynamic and static interference between the runner and the guide vane; the vortex in the runner mainly develops and evolves from the inlet to the outlet and is mainly distributed near the blade wall surface. The pressure pulsation inside the runner is mainly due to the action of dynamic and static interference. The pressure pulsation induced by the dynamic and static interferences shows a decreasing law from the runner inlet to the runner outlet.

Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) is a global environmental contaminant known to cause neurotoxicity. However, the specific targets of its neurotoxic effects remain poorly understood. In this study, we aimed to investigate the differential protein expression associated with brain tissue toxicity induced by potassium perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS-K) and predict its potential biological functions. Rattus norvegicus were treated with 10 mg/kg PFOS-K for 30 days to establish a toxicity model, and brain tissue morphology was examined using HE and nissl staining. Protein expression profiles were analyzed using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS). Bioinformatics tools were used to analyze protein functions, and immunofluorescence was employed to detect the expression of the ENO2 gene in whole brain tissue.PFOS exposure resulted in changes in neuronal cell morphology in different regions of the rat hippocampus, including cell vacuolation, reduced neuronal axon length and density, and decreased nisomes in the DG region. PFOS-K exposure led to changes in protein expression profiles in brain tissue, with 53 differentially expressed proteins identified. Gene ontology (GO) and pathway analysis revealed that the main function of these proteins is to participate in the mitochondrial oxidative respiratory electron transport chain. The main signaling pathways involved include glycolysis, glutamine conversion, Wnt signaling pathway, energy metabolism, oxidative stress, and inflammatory-mediated cytokine signaling. PFOS-K exposure may primarily promote mitochondrial oxidative respiratory electron transport chain, elevate cytoplasmic Glu levels, and disrupt Ga2+ homeostasis. It induces mitochondrial pathway-dependent apoptosis, while also significantly down-regulating the expression of the neurotrophic and protective factor ENO2 in the pyramidal layer of the hippocampus, which may ultimately result in neuronal pathological damage and brain tissue toxicity through energy metabolism.

Recent studies have found that cancer-associated adipocytes (CAA) in the tumor microenvironment are involved in the malignant progression of breast cancer. However, the underlying mechanism of CAA formation and its effects on the development of breast cancer are still unknown. Here, we show that CSF2 is highly expressed in both CAA and breast cancer cells. CSF2 promotes inflammatory phenotypic changes of adipocytes through the Stat3 signaling pathway leading to the secretion of multiple cytokines and proteases, particularly CXCL3. Adipocyte-derived CXCL3 binds to its specific receptor CXCR2 on breast cancer cells and activates the FAK pathway, leading to an enhanced mesenchymal phenotype, migration and invasion of breast cancer cells. In addition, we demonstrate that targeting CSF2 and CXCR2 synergistically inhibits adipocyte-induced lung metastasis of mouse 4T1 cells in vivo. These findings elucidate a novel mechanism of breast cancer metastasis and provide a potential therapeutic strategy for breast cancer metastasis.

Inflammation is a contributing factor to the initiation and progression of many diseases, and some food-derived biofunctional peptides show high anti-inflammatory activity. In our previous study, we demonstrated that peptides derived from trypsin hydrolysis of rice protein show good immunological activity. In the present study, proteins of broken rice were extracted and identified by macroporous resin fractionation and liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Subsequently, a bioinformatics prediction and in silico simulation approach was used to screen for peptides showing anti-inflammatory activity, including inhibition of the production of nitric oxide and proinflammatory cytokines (interleukin-1β, interleukin-6, and tumor necrosis factor-α) by lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW264.7 mice macrophages. Three peptides (DNIQGITKPAIR, IAFKTNPNSMVSHIAGK, and IGVAMDYSASSKR) that demonstrated the highest binding affinity were synthesized, and their in vitro anti-inflammatory activity was investigated. This is the first study that integrates LC-MS/MS identification and bioinformatics prediction for reporting the anti-inflammatory activity of anti-inflammatory peptides derived from broken rice protein. The study findings revealed that the peptides derived from the byproduct of rice milling could be potentially used as natural anti-inflammatory alternativities.

Interspecies somatic cell nuclear transfer (iSCNT) has an immense potential to rescue endangered animals and extinct species like mammoths. In this study, we successfully established an Asian elephant’s fibroblast cell lines from ear tissues, performed iSCNT with porcine oocytes and evaluated the in vitro and in vivo development of reconstructed embryos. A total of 7780 elephant–pig iSCNT embryos were successfully reconstructed and showed in vitro development with cleavage rate, 4-cell, 8-cell and blastocyst rate of 73.01, 30.48, 5.64, and 4.73%, respectively. The total number of elephant–pig blastocyte cells and diameter of hatched blastocyte was 38.67 and 252.75 μm, respectively. Next, we designed species-specific markers targeting EDNRB, AGRP and TYR genes to verify the genome of reconstructed embryos with donor nucleus/species. The results indicated that 53.2, 60.8, and 60.8% of reconstructed embryos (n = 235) contained elephant genome at 1-cell, 2-cell and 4-cell stages, respectively. However, the percentages decreased to 32.3 and 32.7% at 8-cell and blastocyst stages, respectively. Furthermore, we also evaluated the in vivo development of elephant–pig iSCNT cloned embryos and transferred 2260 reconstructed embryos into two surrogate gilts that successfully became pregnant and a total of 11 (1 and 10) fetuses were surgically recovered after 17 and 19 days of gestation, respectively. The crown-rump length and width of elephant–pig cloned fetuses were smaller than the control group. Unfortunately, none of these fetuses contained elephant genomes, which suggested that elephant embryos failed to develop in vivo. In conclusion, we successfully obtained elephant–pig reconstructed embryos for the first time and these embryos are able to develop to blastocyst, but the in vivo developmental failure needs further investigated.

Cancer-associated adipocytes (CAAs), which are adipocytes transformed by cancer cells, are of great importance in promoting the progression of breast cancer. However, the underlying mechanisms involved in the crosstalk between cancer cells and adipocytes are still unknown. Here we report that CAAs and breast cancer cells communicate with each other by secreting the cytokines leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) and C-X-C subfamily chemokines (CXCLs), respectively. LIF is a pro-inflammatory cytokine secreted by CAAs, which promotes migration and invasion of breast cancer cells via the Stat3 signaling pathway. The activation of Stat3 induced the secretion of glutamic acid-leucine-arginine (ELR) motif CXCLs (CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCL3 and CXCL8) in tumor cells. Interestingly, CXCLs in turn activated the ERK1/2/NF-κB/Stat3 signaling cascade to promote the expression of LIF in CAAs. In clinical breast cancer pathology samples, the up-regulation of LIF in paracancerous adipose tissue was positively correlated with the activation of Stat3 in breast cancer. Furthermore, we verified that adipocytes enhanced lung metastasis of breast cancer cells, and the combination of EC330 (targeting LIF) and SB225002 (targeting C-X-C motility chemokine receptor 2 (CXCR2)) significantly reduced lung metastasis of breast cancer cells

Background: Thyroid cancer is the most common endocrine malignancy and the fastest growing cancer worldwide. Thyroid cancer has the largest genetic component of all cancers. Previous genome-wide association studies indicated that genetic polymorphism in PCNXL2 is related to thyroid cancer susceptibility in European populations. This study aims to determine the influence of PCNXL2 polymorphisms on thyroid cancer risk in Chinese individuals. Methods: This case–control study identified four polymorphisms in PCNXL2 among 510 thyroid cancer cases and 509 healthy controls. The associations of PCNXL2 polymorphisms with thyroid cancer susceptibility were detected by calculating odds ratios. Multifactor dimensionality reduction was performed to detect the impact of SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism)–SNP interactions on the risk of thyroid cancer. Results: The study showed that rs10910660 in PCNXL2 was related to thyroid cancer susceptibility. Rs12129938 played a protective role in thyroid cancer susceptibility. Stratification analysis indicated that rs10910660 increased thyroid cancer risk at age >45 years. Rs12129938 enhanced susceptibility to thyroid cancer at age >45 years, while this SNP decreased thyroid cancer risk at age ≤45 years. Rs4649295 was associated with lower susceptibility to thyroid cancer at age ≤45 years. An association was observed between rs6424270 and rs12129938 with decreased susceptibility to thyroid cancer in women. Rs10910660 was related to thyroid cancer risk in men. The combination of rs6424270, rs10910660, rs12129938 and rs4649295 was the best model to predict thyroid cancer. Conclusion: This study suggests that PCNXL2 polymorphisms are risk factors for thyroid cancer in the Chinese population.

This study investigated the effects of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the VEGF （vascular endothelial growth factor） gene, which are associated with susceptibility to age-related macular degeneration (AMD), on the expression of VEGF proteins (VEGF165 and VEGF165b) and their role in cell proliferation and apoptosis in human retinal vascular endothelial cells (hRVECs). Cell viability and VEGF165 and VEGF165b expressions were evaluated in hRVECs transfected with VEGF genes containing different SNPs (rs3025039, rs3025033, and rs10434). The Cell Counting Kit 8 assay, quantitative real-time PCR, western blotting, TUNEL assay, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were used to examine the effects of VEGF gene SNPs on cell viability, VEGF165 and VEGF165b expressions, and cell apoptosis in hRVECs. The interaction and localization of the RNA-binding protein alternative splicing factor/splicing factor 2 (ASF/SF2) were assessed using RNA pull-down. Although VEGF165 expression decreased, VEGF165b levels increased significantly in hRVECs transfected with rs3025039, which decreased cell viability and induced apoptosis. The SNPs rs3025033 and rs10434 had no significant effects on VEGF165b protein production and apoptosis; however, they promoted cell proliferation. SNPs affected the interaction between RNA and ASF/SF2, a splicing factor for intron retention. Insulin-like growth factor-1 treatment induced the expression of VEGF165, but not VEGF165b, whereas SRPIN340 treatment, an inhibitor of ASF/SF2, increased VEGF165b protein levels. VEGF gene sequence variations affected hRVEC proliferation and apoptosis via alternative gene splicing. Thus, the regulation of splicing via ASF/SF2 could be a potential strategy in treating pathological neovascularization in patients with AMD.

The effects of hot rolling and subsequent annealing on microstructure and mechanical behavior of an equiaxed-structure TC21 titanium alloy were investigated. The microstructure observation showed that no phase transformation and dynamic recrystallization occurred during rolling due to the low rolling temperature (750 °C). During annealing, the annealing temperature influenced the microstructure and mechanical properties more remarkably than the annealing time. At the annealing temperature of 820 °C, compared with the rolled samples, the value of strength decreased and the value of plasticity increased, which was largely related to the reduction of strain hardening effect. At the annealing temperature of 880 °C, the increase of β phase content induced the simultaneous occurrence of stress-induced martensitic transformation (SIMT) and dislocation slip during tensile and then resulted in the double yield phenomenon. At the annealing temperature of 920 °C, the value of strength increased, and the value of plasticity decreased obviously, which was related to the precipitation of secondary α phase (αs) and martensitic (α″). However, prolonging annealing time from 1 h to 6 h had a little effect on mechanical properties, because the phase content and grain morphology had a little change with the variation of annealing time. In addition, the fracture morphologies of all annealed samples were composed of equiaxed dimple, indicating a typical ductile fracture.

Tamusu mudstone, located in Inner Mongolia, is being recognized to be the potential host formation in deep HLW disposal across China. This paper describes diverse laboratory experiments performed using the fractured Tamusu mudstone, with concern to the study of the combined mechanical and thermal effects on its hydraulic properties, as well as its self-sealing effect. A single rough fracture is generated down the sample diameter direction before the sample’s installation. Considering a heating-cooling cycle, the evolution of the samples’ hydraulic properties under different stress conditions has been monitored. The hydraulic conductivity is proved to be not only related to the temperature-induced water viscosity and density variation but also the change of stress state. At the same thermal conditions, the increase of confining pressure (or deviatoric stress) may weaken the flow capacity of the fractures and thus reduce the permeability. The non-coincidence for the curve of permeability versus temperature at the heating and cooling stage indicates that the permeability alterations in the fractures are irreversible. Fracture zone changes were observed by X-ray computer tomography (CT) before and after the tests. The self-sealing behavior, which may be beneficial from high confining pressure, was detected for fractured Tamusu mudstone. Morphologies of fracture surfaces were detected by the 3D scanning technique, which shows that the fracture surface roughness, due to the alteration of asperity contacts and void spaces under high stress, may take an important part of the responsibility to the change of permeability.

Purpose: The objective of the study was to investigate efficacy and mechanisms of mouse adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (mADSC-Exos) in the benzalkonium chloride (BAC)-induced mouse dry eye model. Methods: Exosomes in the mADSC culture supernatant were isolated by ultracentrifugation. Western blotting, nanoparticle tracking analysis, and transmission electron microscopy were used to characterize mADSC-Exos. An experimental mouse model of dry eye was established by instillation of 0.2% BAC. mADSC-Exos were administered following BAC treatment. The positive control group was treated with commercial eye drops (0.1% pranoprofen). Corneal fluorescein staining, tear secretion, and tear film break-up time (BUT) were evaluated, and histologic analysis of the cornea and conjunctiva was performed by hematoxylin and eosin and periodic acid-Schiff staining. Apoptosis in the corneal epithelium was detected with the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick-end labeling assay and by Western blotting. Levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in the cornea and conjunctiva were evaluated by flow cytometry, and mRNA and protein levels of NLR family pyrin domain-containing 3 (NLRP3) pathway components were assessed by quantitative real-time PCR and Western blotting, respectively. Results: mADSC-Exos were characterized as vesicles with a bilayer membrane. The particle size distribution peak was at 134 nm. mADSC-Exos specifically expressed cluster of differentiation (CD)9, CD63, and CD81. mADSC-Exos treatment repaired ocular surface damage. Additionally, mADSC-Exos inhibited cell apoptosis, decreased the levels of interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, IL-1α, interferon (IFN)-γ, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, and increased levels of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. Meanwhile, NLRP3 inflammasome activation and upregulation of caspase-1, IL-1β, and IL-18 were reversed by mADSC-Exos. Conclusions: mADSC-Exos alleviate ocular surface inflammation, suggesting that it is a promising treatment for dry eye.

Thyroid cancer is the most common malignancy of the endocrine system. Circular RNA (circRNA) is recognized as a key regulator of tumorigenesis in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Here this work focused on the mechanism of circRNA_0003892 (circ_0003892) in PTC progression.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to examine circ_0003892, microRNA-326 (miR-326) and LIM and SH3 protein 1 (LASP1) mRNA expression levels in PTC tissues and cell lines. Besides, cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), EdU and transwell assays were conducted to detect the proliferative, migrative and invasive abilities of PTC cells, respectively. B The targeting relationships between miR-326 and circ_0003892 or LASP1 3'-UTR were verified by dual-luciferase reporter gene assay and RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay.Circ_0003892 expression was raised in PTC tissues and cells, which was significantly interrelated with larger tumor size and extrathyroidal extension in PTC sufferers. Overexpression of circ_0003892 significantly promoted the malignant biological behaviors of PTC cells. Additionally, miR-326 was a downstream target of circ_0003892, and miR-326 overexpression weakened the promoting effect of circ_0003892 overexpression on the malignant progression of PTC. MiR-326 specifically inhibited LASP1. Circ_0003892 positively regulated LASP1 expression by targeting miR-326.Circ_0003892 up-regulates LASP1 expression and facilitates PTC progression via competitively binding to miR-326.

As the key running part of the railway freight transportation system, the wheel not only bears the load of the vehicle, but also ensures the running and steering of the car body on the rails. The frequent high-speed friction with the rail and brake is the main reason for early failure of wheelset tread. Therefore, real-time status monitoring and early fault diagnosis of wheel treads have become key technical issues that must be solved in the reform of the railway freight maintenance system. In this paper, an adaptive hybrid Simulated Annealing Cuckoo Search algorithm (SA-ACS) is proposed and applied to the Deep Belief Network (DBN). The SA-ACS-DBN algorithm is used to improve the training speed and convergence accuracy of the diagnosis model. Finally, it is found through the comparison experiment of wheel tread fault data that the data results prove the feasibility of the SA-ACS-DBN model in the application of wheelset fault diagnosis.

Deep-red light emitting phosphors are widely used in LEDs for indoor plant growth because of the critical role played by red light in plant growth. The luminescence properties of deep-red phosphors are still not well understood at present. An energy transfer strategy is a common and effective method to improve luminescence properties. In principle, the energy transfer process may occur when the sensitizer's emission spectra overlap with the activator's excitation spectra. In this work, Bi3+ and Mn4+ were incorporated into the matrix of Gd2MgTiO6 as sensitisers and activators, respectively. Mn4+ ions tend to occupy the [TiO6] octahedral site and the Bi3+ ions are expected to substituted in the site of Gd3+. The energy transfer process from Bi3+ to Mn4+ was realised and the photoluminescence (PL) intensity of Mn4+ increased with the doping content of Bi3+. Upon excitation at 375 nm, the PL intensity of Mn4+ increased to 116.4% when the doping concentration of Bi3+ reached 0.3%. Finally, the pc-LED devices were prepared by a Gd2MgTiO6:Bi3+, Mn4+ phosphor. The high red luminescence indicated that this phosphor has potential applications in indoor LED lighting.

Remaining Useful Life (RUL) prediction is one of the most common activities to ensure the reliability of a degradation system. In previous RUL prediction schemes based on RNN autoencoder, the multi-dimensional sensor data for each timestep made an equal contribution to the generation of the embedding vector during the encoding process. Besides, the single embedding vector carries the burden of decoding the entire multi-timestep information. To overcome the above shortcomings, two improvements are proposed: (1) For the embedding vectors to highlight critical timestep information, weights are assigned to each timestep information through an attention mechanism. (2) To reduce the decoding burden on a single embedding vector, a skip connection is introduced at each step of the decoding process to improve BiGRU decoding capabilities. The prognostic performance of the proposed method BiGRU-AS is evaluated on two publicly available datasets: the C-MAPSS dataset (simulation dataset) and the milling dataset (experimental dataset). Compared to the latest prediction methods, the experimental results show that the proposed method is competitive in RUL prediction for mechanical systems.

Nanobubbles (NBs) have recently gained interest in cancer imaging and therapy due to the fact that nanoparticles with the size range of 1-1000 nm can extravasate into permeable tumor types through the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect. However, the therapeutic study of NBs was only limited to drug delivery or cavitation. Herein, we developed ultrasound-evoked massive NB explosion to strikingly damage the surrounding cancer. The dual-function agent allows synergistic mechanical impact and photodynamic therapy of the tumors and enhances imaging contrast. Moreover, the mechanical explosion improved the light delivery efficiency in biological tissue to promote the effect of photodynamic therapy. Under ultrasound/photoacoustic imaging guidance, we induced on-the-spot bubble explosion and photodynamic therapy of tumors at a depth of centimeters in vivo. The mechanical impact of the explosion can enhance delivery of the photosensitizers. Ultrasound explicitly revealed the cancer morphology and exhibited fast NB perfusion. Generated mechanical damage and release of mixture agents demonstrated remarkable synergetic anticancer effects on deep tumors. This finding also offers a new approach and insight into treating cancers.

Purpose: Accumulation of endogenous all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) plays a role in the degeneration of photoreceptor cells and retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells, contributing to age-related macular degeneration (AMD). This study attempted to investigate the influence of antioxidant N-acetylcysteine (NAC) and selective endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) inhibitor salubrinal on apoptosis of ARPE-19 cells induced by ATRA. Methods: The RPE cell line (ARPE-19) was treated with ATRA, ATRA+NAC, ATRA+salubrinal or ATRA+NAC+salubrinal and the control was untreated. After 24 h of cell culture, the levels of apoptosis, multicaspase and reactive oxygen species (ROS) were detected by flow cytometry. Western blot analysis was employed to detect the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF-A), C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP) and cleaved caspase-3 in the groups. Results: The results of flow cytometry showed that NAC and salubrinal decreased the levels of apoptosis, ROS and multicaspase. ATRA increased VEGF-A levels associated with neovascularisation. NAC and salubrinal inhibited an increase in VEGF-A, CHOP and caspase-3 caused by ATRA in ARPE-19 cells. Conclusions: In ARPE-19 cells, the levels of ROS and ERS can be increased by ATRA, contributing to apoptosis, which can be effectively inhibited by NAC and salubrinal. Thus, ATRA may play an important role in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of age-related macular degeneration.

The evidence for the association between metabolic score for insulin resistance (METS-IR) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is limited. We aimed to explore the association of METS-IR and its 6-year change with risk of incident T2DM in a rural Chinese population.We analyzed data for 12 107 participants (mean age 50.48 years). A Cox proportional-hazard model was used to estimate the association of METS-IR with incident T2DM by using hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs); a logistic regression model was used to assess the association of 6-year METS-IR change with incident T2DM by using odds ratios (ORs) and 95% CIs. We used subgroup analyses of the association of METS-IR and its 6-year change with incident T2DM by sex, age, and baseline fasting plasma glucose (FPG) level as well as restricted cubic splines to describe the dose-response association.The association of METS-IR and 6-year METS-IR change with incident T2DM was significant (per SD unit increase: HR = 1.80, 95% CI: 1.60-2.02 for METS-IR, OR = 1.42, 95% CI: 1.28-1.57 and OR = 1.59, 95% CI: 1.44-1.76 for relative and absolute METS-IR change). The significant association remained on subgroup analyses by sex, age, and baseline FPG level. Dose-response analysis demonstrated that the probability of incident T2DM was significantly increased with increasing METS-IR and 6-year METS-IR change.Increased METS-IR and 6-year METS-IR change were positively associated with risk of incident T2DM in a rural Chinese population. METS-IR may be a vital indicator for identifying T2DM.背景: 关于胰岛素抵抗代谢评分(Metabolic score for insulin resistance, METS-IR)与2型糖尿病(Type 2 diabetes mellitus, T2DM)之间关系的证据有限。我们的目的是在中国农村人群中探讨METS-IR及其6年变化与T2DM发病风险的关系。 方法: 我们分析了12107名参与者的数据(平均年龄50.48岁)。Cox比例风险回归模型通过风险比(Hazard ratio, HR)和95%置信区间(Confidence interval, CI)估计METS-IR与T2DM发病的关系；采用logistic回归模型通过比值比(Odds ratio, OR)和95% CI评估METS-IR的6年变化与T2DM发病的关系。我们通过性别、年龄和基线空腹血糖(Fasting plasma glucose, FPG)水平对METS-IR及其6年变化与T2DM发病的关系进行了亚组分析, 并使用限制性立方样条曲线探讨两者的剂量-反应关系。 结果: METS-IR及其6年变化与T2DM发生的关系显著(METS-IR每增加一个标准差的单位:HR = 1.80, 95% CI: 1.60-2.02；METS-IR的6年相对和绝对变化量每增加一个标准差的单位:OR = 1.42, 95% CI: 1.28-1.57和OR = 1.59, 95% CI: 1.44-1.76)。METS-IR及其6年变化与T2DM发生关系在按性别、年龄和基线FPG水平进行的亚组分析中仍存在显著关联。剂量-反应分析结果显示, 随着METS-IR及其6年改变量的增加, T2DM的发病风险显著增加。 结论: 在中国农村人群中, METS-IR及其6年变化量的增加与T2DM发生的风险呈正相关, METS-IR可能是诊断T2DM的重要指标。.

The europium sorption on Tamusu clay was investigated by batch sorption experiments and spectroscopic study under the condition of strong ionic strength. The results demonstrated that europium sorption on Tamusu clay increased rapidly with pH value, but decreased with the ionic strength of solution increased. The europium sorption also increased in the presence of humic acid, especially at low pH value. The sorption could be fitted by Freundlich isotherm model and the europium sorption on clay was spontaneous and endothermic reaction. Besides, the result indicates that ion exchange was the main process at low pH value, while inner-sphere surface complexation dominated the sorption process at high pH value. The Backscatter electron scanning/Energy Dispersive Spectrometer(BSE/EDS) and the effect of Na for europium sorption results further suggested that europium sorption on Tamusu clay mainly competed with Na at low pH value. Overall, the results in this research were of significance to understand the sorption behavior of europium on the geological media under high ionic strength.

The Atlantic sea nettle ( Chrysaora quinquecirrha) has an important evolutionary position due to its high ecological value. However, due to limited sequencing technologies and complex jellyfish genomic sequences, the current C. quinquecirrha genome assembly is highly fragmented. Here, we used the most advanced high-throughput chromosome conformation capture (Hi-C) technology to obtain high-coverage sequencing data of the C. quinquecirrha genome. We then anchored these data to the previously published contig-level assembly to improve the genome. Finally, a high-continuity genome sequence of C. quinquecirrha was successfully assembled, which contained 1 882 scaffolds with a N50 length of 3.83 Mb. The N50 length of the genome assembly was 5.23 times longer than the previously released one, and additional analysis revealed that it had a high degree of genomic continuity and accuracy. Acquisition of the high-continuity genome sequence of C. quinquecirrha not only provides a basis for the study of jellyfish evolution through comparative genomics but also provides an important resource for studies on jellyfish growth and development.

With the rapid development of information, decision making problems in various fields have presented multidimensional, complex and uncertain characteristics. Nested probabilistic-numerical linguistic term set (NPNLTS) is an effective tool to describe complex information due to the nested structure and diverse variables. This paper extends the concept of NPNLTS, and defines an improved form, i.e., nested probabilistic linguistic term set (NPLTS), and then proposes a novel VIKOR method with nested probabilistic linguistic information to solve the model. Within the context of empirical corporate finance, a case study related to corporate investment decision is presented and handled by the novel VIKOR method. After that, comparative analysis is carried out considering other decision-making methods, decision coefficient in VIKOR, and weights of attributes. As a result, the proposed method not only provides a rational and effective solution, but also reveals the rule in the case when decision coefficient and weights of attributes change, respectively. Finally, we discuss the proposed method from the theoretical and application aspects with a view to guiding future research. To a certain extent, this study provides a new decision environment to deal with multidimensional problems.

Simultaneous spatio-temporal description of tumor microvasculature, blood-brain barrier, and immune activity is pivotal to understanding the evolution mechanisms of highly aggressive glioblastoma, one of the most common primary brain tumors in adults. However, the existing intravital imaging modalities are still difficult to achieve it in one step. Here, we present a dual-scale multi-wavelength photoacoustic imaging approach cooperative with/without unique optical dyes to overcome this dilemma. Label-free photoacoustic imaging depicted the multiple heterogeneous features of neovascularization in tumor progression. In combination with classic Evans blue assay, the microelectromechanical system based photoacoustic microscopy enabled dynamic quantification of BBB dysfunction. Concurrently, using self-fabricated targeted protein probe (αCD11b-HSA@A1094) for tumor-associated myeloid cells, unparalleled imaging contrast of cells infiltration associated with tumor progression was visualized by differential photoacoustic imaging in the second near-infrared window at dual scale. Our photoacoustic imaging approach has great potential for tumor-microenvironment visualization to systematically reveal the tumor infiltration, heterogeneity, and metastasis in intracranial tumors.
