Abstract: In a search for B-->cc[over ]gammaK decays with the BABAR detector, where cc[over ] includes J/psi and psi(2S), and K includes K(+/-), K(S)(0), and K(*)(892), we find evidence for X(3872)-->J/psigamma and X(3872)-->psi(2S)gamma with 3.6sigma and 3.5sigma significance, respectively. We measure the product of branching fractions B(B(+/-)-->X(3872)K(+/-))xB(X(3872)-->J/psigamma)=[2.8+/-0.8(stat)+/-0.1(syst)]x10(-6) and B(B(+/-)-->X(3872)K(+/-))xB(X(3872)-->psi(2S)gamma)=[9.5+/-2.7(stat)+/-0.6(syst)]x10(-6).

Abstract: We measure branching fractions and integrated rate asymmetries for the rare decays B-->K(*)l+l-, where l+l- is either e+e- or micro+micro-, using a sample of 384x10(6) BB events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e- collider. We find no evidence for direct CP or lepton-flavor asymmetries. However, for dilepton masses below the J/psi resonance, we find evidence for unexpectedly large isospin asymmetries in both B-->Kl+l- and B-->K*l+l- which differ, respectively, by 3.2sigma and 2.7sigma, including systematic uncertainties, from the standard model expectations.

Abstract: We present measurements of B meson decays to the final states ωK*, ωρ, and ωf0, where K* indicates a spin 0, 1, or 2 strange meson. The data sample corresponds to 465×106 BB̄ pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e- collider at SLAC. B meson decays involving vector-scalar, vector-vector, and vector-tensor final states are analyzed; the latter two shed new light on the polarization of these final states. We measure the branching fractions for nine of these decays; five are observed for the first time. For most decays we also measure the charge asymmetry and, where relevant, the longitudinal polarization fL. © 2009 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We search for charmless decays of charged B mesons to the three-body final state KS0KS0π+. Using a data sample of 423.7fb-1 collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector, corresponding to (465.1± 5.1)×106 BB̄ pairs, we find no significant signal and determine a 90% confidence level upper limit on the branching fraction of 5.1×10-7. © 2009 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present a study of the charmless semileptonic B-meson decays B+→ωl+ν and B+→ηl+ν. The analysis is based on 3.83×108 BB̄ pairs recorded at the Υ(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector. The ω mesons are reconstructed in the channel ω→π+π-π0 and the η mesons in the channels η→π+π-π0 and η→γγ. We measure the branching fractions B(B+→ωl+ν)=(1.14±0.16stat±0. 08syst)×10-4 and B(B+→ηl+ν)=(0.31±0.06stat±0. 08syst)×10-4. © 2009 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present measurements of the branching fraction and fraction of longitudinal polarization for the decay B+→K̄*0K*+ with a sample of (467±5)×106 BB̄ pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. We obtain the branching fraction B(B+→K̄ *0K*+)=(1.2±0.5±0.1)×10-6 with a significance of 3.7 standard deviations including systematic uncertainties. We measure the fraction of longitudinal polarization fL=0.75-0.26+0.16±0.03. The first error quoted is statistical and the second is systematic. © 2009 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present measurements of the time-dependent CP-violation parameters S and C in the decays B0→ÏKS0, B0→ωK0, reconstructed as ωKS0 and ωKL0, and B0→Ï€0KS0. The data sample corresponds to the full BABAR dataset of 467Ö106 BB- pairs produced at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. The results are SÏKS0=0.55-0.29+0.26Â±0.02, CÏKS0=-0.52-0.20+0.22Â±0.03, SωK0=0.57Â±0. 08Â±0.02, CωK0=-0.08Â±0.06Â±0.02, SÏ€0KS0=0.55Â±0.20Â±0.03, and CÏ€0KS0=0.13Â±0.13Â±0.03, where the first errors are statistical and the second systematic. These results are consistent with our previous measurements and the world average of sina 2 measured in B0→J/ KS0. © 2009 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We use a sample of 384×106 BB̄ events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e- collider to study angular distributions in the rare decays B→K* + -, where + - is either e+e- or μ+μ-. For low dilepton invariant masses, m 3.2GeV/c2, we measure AFB=0.76-0.32+0.52±0.07 and FL=0.71-0.22+0.20±0.04. © 2009 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: A Dalitz plot analysis of approximately 13000 Ds+ decays to π+π-π+ has been performed. The analysis uses a 384 fb-1 data sample recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- storage ring running at center of mass energies near 10.6 GeV. Amplitudes and phases of the intermediate resonances which contribute to this final state are measured. A high precision measurement of the ratio of branching fractions is performed: B(Ds+→π+π-π+)/B(Ds+→K+K-π+)=0.199±0.004±0. 009. Using a model-independent partial wave analysis, the amplitude and phase of the S wave have been measured. © 2009 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We report e;{+}e;{-}-->bb[over ] cross section measurements by the BABAR experiment performed during an energy scan in the range of 10.54 to 11.20 GeV at the SLAC PEP-II e;{+}e;{-} collider. A total relative error of about 5% is reached in more than 300 center-of-mass energy steps, separated by about 5 MeV. These measurements can be used to derive precise information on the parameters of the Upsilon(10860) and Upsilon(11020) resonances. In particular we show that their widths may be smaller than previously measured.

Abstract: Semileptonic B̄ decays to DXν̄ (=e or μ) are selected by reconstructing D0 and D+ combinations from a sample of 230×106 Υ(4S)→BB̄ decays recorded with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e- collider at SLAC. A global fit to these samples in a three-dimensional space of kinematic variables is used to determine the branching fractions B(B-→D0ν̄)=(2.34±0.03±0.13)% and B(B-→D *0ν̄)=(5.40±0.02±0.21)% where the errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. The fit also determines form-factor parameters in a parametrization based on heavy quark effective theory, resulting in ρD2=1.20±0.04±0.07 for B̄→Dν̄ and ρD*2=1.22±0.02±0.07 for B̄→D*ν̄. These values are used to obtain the product of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |Vcb| times the form factor at the zero recoil point for both B̄→Dν̄ decays, G(1)|Vcb|=(43.1±0.8±2.3) ×10-3, and for B̄→D*ν̄ decays, F(1)|Vcb|=(35.9±0.2±1.2)×10-3. © 2009 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present measurements of the CP-violation parameters S and C for the radiative decay B0→ηKS0γ; for B→ηKγ we also measure the branching fractions and for B+→ηK+γ the time-integrated charge asymmetry Ach. The data, collected with the BABAR detector at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, represent 465×106 BB̄ pairs produced in e+e- annihilation. The results are S=-0.18-0.46+0.49±0.12, C=-0.32-0.39+0.40±0.07, B(B0→ηK0γ)=(7.1-2.0+2.1±0.4)×10-6, B(B+→ηK+γ)=(7.7±1.0±0.4)×10-6, and Ach=(-9.0-9.8+10.4±1.4)×10-2. Abstract: We report a measurement of the branching fractions of B̄→D* *ℓ-ν̄ℓ decays based on 417fb-1 of data collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e- storage rings. Events are selected by fully reconstructing one of the B mesons in a hadronic decay mode. A fit to the invariant mass differences m(D(*)π)- m(D(*)) is performed to extract the signal yields of the different D** states. We observe the B̄→D**ℓ- ν̄ℓ decay modes corresponding to the four D** states predicted by heavy quark symmetry with a significance greater than 5 standard deviations including systematic uncertainties. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present branching fraction measurements for the radiative decays B+→ρ+γ, B0→ρ0γ, and B0→ωγ. The analysis is based on a data sample of 465×106 BB̄ events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory located at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. We find B(B+→ρ+γ)=(1.20-0. 37+0.42±0.20)×10-6, B(B0→ρ0γ)=(0.97-0.22+0. 24±0.06)×10-6, and a 90% C.L. upper limit B(B0→ωγ)

Abstract: We present a study of hadronic transitions between Υ(mS) (m=4, 3, 2) and Υ(nS) (n=2, 1) resonances based on 347.5fb-1 of data taken with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage rings. We report the first observation of Υ(4S)→ηΥ(1S) decay with a branching fraction B(Υ(4S)→ηΥ(1S))=(1.96±0.06stat±0.09syst) ×10-4 and measure the ratio of partial widths Γ(Υ(4S) →ηΥ(1S))/Γ(Υ(4S)→π+π-Υ(1S))=2. 41±0.40stat±0.12syst. We set 90% CL upper limits on the ratios Γ(Υ(2S)→ηΥ(1S))/Γ(Υ(2S)→π+π- Υ(1S))

Abstract: We present an investigation of the decays B̄0→Λc+p̄ and B-→Λc+p̄π- based on 383×106 Υ(4S) →BB̄ decays recorded with the BABAR detector. We measure the branching fractions of these decays; their ratio is B(B-→Λc+p̄π-)/ B(B̄0→Λc+p̄)=15.4±1.8±0.3. The B-→Λc+p̄π- process exhibits an enhancement at the Λc+p̄ threshold and is a laboratory for searches for excited charm baryon states. We observe the resonant decays B-→Σc(2455)0p̄ and B-→Σc(2800)0p̄ but see no evidence for B-→Σc(2520) 0p̄. This is the first observation of the decay B-→Σc(2800) 0p̄; however, the mass of the observed excited Σc0 state is (2846±8±10)MeV/c2, which is somewhat inconsistent with previous measurements. Finally, we examine the angular distribution of the B-→Σc(2455)0p̄ decays and measure the spin of the Σc(2455)0 baryon to be 1/2, as predicted by the quark model. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We perform a time-dependent and time-integrated angular analysis of the decays B0→φK*(892)0, φK2*(1430)0, and φ(Kπ)0*0 with the final sample of about 465×106 BB̄ pairs recorded with the BABAR detector. Twenty-four parameters are investigated, including the branching fractions, CP-violation parameters, and parameters sensitive to final-state interactions. We use the dependence on the Kπ invariant mass of the interference between the scalar and vector or tensor components to resolve discrete ambiguities of the strong and weak phases. We use the time evolution of the B→φKS0π0 channel to extract the CP-violation phase difference Δ 00=0.28±0.42±0.04 between the B and B̄ decay amplitudes. When the B→φK±π channel is included, the fractions of longitudinal polarization fL of the vector-vector and vector-tensor decay modes are measured to be 0.494±0.034±0.013 and 0.901-0.058+0.046±0.037, respectively. This polarization pattern requires the presence of a positive-helicity amplitude in the vector-vector decay from a currently unknown source. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We report a study of B±→D*K± decays with D* decaying to Dπ0 or Dγ, using 383×106 BB̄ pairs collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II B Factory. The D meson decays under study include a non-CP mode (K±π), CP-even modes (K±K,π±π), and CP-odd modes (KS0π0,KS0,KS0ω). We measure ratios (RCP±*) of branching fractions of decays to CP eigenmode states and to flavor-specific states as well as CP asymmetries (ACP±*). These measurements are sensitive to the unitarity triangle angle γ. We obtain ACP+*=-0.11±0.09±0.01, RCP+*=1.31±0.13±0.04, and ACP-*=0.06±0. 10±0.02, RCP-*=1.10±0.12±0.04, where the first error is statistical and the second error is systematic. Translating our results into an alternative parametrization, widely used for related measurements, we obtain x+*=0.11±0.06±0.02 and x-*=0.00±0.06±0. 02. No significant CP-violating charge asymmetry is found in either the flavor-specific mode D→K±π or in B±→D *π± decays. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We present the results of searches for B decays to charmless final states involving varphi, f_{0}(980), and charged or neutral rho mesons. The data sample corresponds to 384x10;{6} BB[over ] pairs collected with the BABAR detector operating at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e;{+}e;{-} collider at SLAC. We find no significant signals and determine the following 90% confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions, including systematic uncertainties: B(B;{0}-->varphivarphi)varphirho;{+})varphirho;{0})varphif_{0}(980)]xB[f_{0}(980)-->pi;{+}pi;{-}]f_{0}(980)f_{0}(980)]xB[f_{0}(980)-->pi;{+}pi;{-}]xB[f_{0}(980)-->K;{+}K;{-}]

Abstract: We present the observation of the decay B0→χc0K*0 as well as evidence of B+→χc0K*+, with an 8.9 and a 3.6 standard deviation significance, respectively, using a data sample of 454×106 Υ(4S)→BB̄ decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II B meson factory located at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC). The measured branching fractions are B(B0→χc0K*0)=(1.7±0. 3±0.2)×10-4 and B(B+→χc0K*+)=(1.4±0. 5±0.2)×10-4, where the first quoted errors are statistical and the second are systematic. We obtain a branching fraction upper limit of B(B+→χc0K*+)

Abstract: We present a search for the decays B→K*νν̄ using 454×106BB̄ pairs collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II B-Factory. We first select an event sample where one B is reconstructed in a semileptonic or hadronic mode with one charmed meson. The remaining particles in the event are then examined to search for a B→K*νν̄ decay. The charged K* is reconstructed as K*+→KS0π+ or K*+→K+π0; the neutral K* is identified in K*0→K+π- mode. We establish upper limits at 90% confidence level of B(B+→K*+νν̄)

Abstract: We perform a measurement of the CP asymmetry in b-->sgamma decays using a sample of 383 x 10(6) B[over] B events collected by the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric B factory. We reconstruct 16 flavor-specific B decay modes containing a high-energy photon and a hadronic system X_(s) containing an s quark. We measure the CP asymmetry to be -0.011+/-0.030(stat)+/-0.014(syst) for a hadronic system mass between 0.6 and 2.8 GeV/c(2).

Abstract: We study B0→ρ0ρ0 decays in a sample of 465×106 Υ(4S)→BB̄ events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider located at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC). We measure the branching fraction B=(0.92±0.32±0. 14)×10-6 and longitudinal polarization fraction fL=0.75-0.14+0. 11±0.05, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The evidence for the B0→ρ0ρ0 signal has a significance of 3.1 standard deviations, including systematic uncertainties. We investigate the proper-time dependence of the longitudinal component in the decay and measure the CP-violating coefficients SL00=(0.3±0.7±0.2) and CL00=(0.2±0.8±0.3). We study the implication of these results for the unitarity triangle angle α. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: With the full BABAR data sample of 465 x 10(6) B(over)B pairs, we observe the decays B+/- -->phiK_(1)(1270) +/- and B +/- -->phiK*_(2)(1430)+/-. We measure the branching fractions (6.1+/-1.6+/-1.1) x 10(-6) and (8.4+/-1.8+/-1.0) x 10(-6) and the fractions of longitudinal polarization 0.46 (+0.12+0.06) _(-0.13-0.07) and 0.80(+0.09)_(-0.10)+/-0.03, respectively. We also report on the B+/- -->phiK*_(0)(1430)+/- decay branching fraction of (7.0+/-1.3+/-0.9) x 10(-6) and several parameters sensitive to CP violation and interference in the above three decays. Upper limits are placed on the B+/- decay rates to final states with phi and K_1(1400)+/-, K*(1410)+/-, K2(1770)+/-, or K_2(1820)+/-. Understanding the observed polarization pattern requires amplitude contributions from an uncertain source.

Abstract: We present a measurement of the branching fractions for the Cabibbo-favored radiative decay D0→K̄*0γ and the Cabibbo-suppressed radiative decay D0→ γ. These measurements are based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 387.1fb-1 and recorded with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e- asymmetric-energy collider operating at center-of-mass energies 10.58 and 10.54 GeV. We measure the branching fractions relative to the well-studied decay D0→K-π+ and find B(D0→K̄ *0γ)/B(D0→K-π+)=(8.43±0.51±0.70)×10-3 and B(D0→ γ)/B(D0→K-π+)=(7.15±0.78±0.69)×10- 4, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. This is the first observation of the decay mode D0→K̄*0γ. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: Using 385fb-1 of e+e- collision data collected at center-of-mass energies around 10.6 GeV, we search for time-integrated CP violation in the Cabibbo-suppressed decays D0/D̄0→π-π+π0 and D0/D̄0→K-K+π0 with both model-independent and model-dependent methods. Measurements of the asymmetries in amplitudes of flavor states and CP eigenstates provide constraints on theories beyond the standard model, some of which predict CP violation in amplitudes at the 1% level or higher. We find no evidence of CP violation and hence no conflict with the standard model. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We report a Dalitz-plot analysis of the charmless hadronic decays of neutral B mesons to K±ππ0. With a sample of (231.8±2.6) ×106Υ(4S)→BB̄ decays collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC, we measure the magnitudes and phases of the intermediate resonant and nonresonant amplitudes for B0 and B̄0 decays and determine the corresponding CP-averaged branching fractions and charge asymmetries. The inclusive branching fraction and CP-violating charge asymmetry are measured to be B(B0→K+π-π0)=(35.7-1.5+2.6±2.2) ×10-6 and ACP=-0.030-0.051+0.045±0.055 where the first errors are statistical and the second systematic. We observe the decay B0→K* 0(892)π0 with the branching fraction B(B0→K*0(892)π0)=(3.6-0. 8+0.7±0.4)×10-6. This measurement differs from zero by 5.6 standard deviations (including the systematic uncertainties). The selected sample also contains B0→D̄0π0 decays where D̄0→K+π-, and we measure B(B0→D̄0π0)=(2.93±0.17±0.18)×10-4. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: Using 214fb-1 of data recorded by the BABAR detector at the PEPII electron-positron collider, we study the decay Ds+→K+K-e+νe. Except for a small S-wave contribution, the events with K+K- masses in the range 1.01-1.03GeV/c2 correspond to mesons. For Ds+→ e+νe decays, we measure the relative normalization of the Lorentz invariant form factors at q2=0, rV=V(0)/A1(0)=1.849±0.060±0.095, r2=A2(0)/A1(0)=0.763±0. 071±0.065 and the pole mass of the axial-vector form factors mA=(2.28-0.18+0.23±0.18)GeV/c2. Within the same K+K- mass range, we also measure the relative branching fraction B(Ds+→K+K-e+νe)/B(Ds+→K+K- π+)=0.558±0.007±0.016, from which we obtain the total branching fraction B(Ds+→ e+νe)=(2.61±0.03±0.08±0.15) ×10-2. By comparing this value with the predicted decay rate, we extract A1(0)=0.607±0.011±0.019±0.018. The stated uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and from external inputs. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: Using 383 x 10(6) BBover pairs from the BABAR data sample, we report results for branching fractions of six charged B-meson decay modes, where a charged kaon recoils against a charmless resonance decaying to KKover* or etapipi final states with mass in the range (1.2-1.8) GeV/c2. We observe a significant enhancement at the low KKover* invariant mass which is interpreted as B+-->eta(1475)K+, find evidence for the decay B+-->eta(1295)K+, and place upper limits on the decays B+-->eta(1405)K+, B+-->f1(1285)K+, B+-->f1(1420)K+, and B+-->phi(1680)K+.

Abstract: We report measurements of branching fractions for the decays B-->Plnu_{l}, where P are the pseudoscalar charmless mesons pi;{-}, pi;{0}, eta and eta;{'}, based on 348 fb;{-1} of data collected with the BABAR detector, using B0 and B+ mesons found in the recoil of a second B meson decaying as B-->D;{(*)}lnu_{l}. Assuming isospin symmetry, we combine pionic branching fractions to obtain B(B;{0}-->pi;{-}l;{+}nu_{l})=(1.54+/-0.17_{(stat)}+/-0.09_{(syst)})x10;{-4}; we find 3.2sigma evidence of the decay B;{+}-->etal;{+}nu_{l} and measure its branching fraction to be (0.64+/-0.20_{(stat)}+/-0.03_{(syst)})x10;{-4}, and determine B(B;{+}-->eta;{'}l;{+}nu_{l})

Abstract: We report on an improved measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa CP-violating phase γ through a Dalitz plot analysis of neutral D meson decays to KS0π+π- and KS0K+K- produced in the processes B →DK, B →D*K with D*→Dπ0, Dγ, and B →DK* with K* →KS0π. Using a sample of 383×106 BB̄ pairs collected by the BABAR detector, we measure γ=(76±22±5±5)° (mod 180°), where the first error is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty, and the third reflects the uncertainty on the description of the Dalitz plot distributions. The corresponding 2-standard-deviation region is 29°

143. Observation of Y(3940) --> J/psiomega in B --> J/psiomegaK at BABAR.

Abstract: We present a study of the decays B;{0,+}-->J/psiomegaK;{0,+} using 383x10;{6} BB[over ] events obtained with the BABAR detector at PEP-II. We observe Y(3940)-->J/psiomega, with mass 3914.6_{-3.4};{+3.8}(stat)+/-2.0(syst) MeV/c;{2}, and width 34_{-8};{+12}(stat)+/-5(syst) MeV. The ratio of B0 and B+ decay to YK is 0.27_{-0.23};{+0.28}(stat)-0.01+0.04(syst), and the relevant B0 and B+ branching fractions are reported.

Abstract: We report the results of a search for the bottomonium ground state etab(1S) in the photon energy spectrum with a sample of (109+/-1) million of Upsilon(3S) recorded at the Upsilon(3S) energy with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II B factory at SLAC. We observe a peak in the photon energy spectrum at Egamma=921.2(-2.8)+2.1(stat)+/-2.4(syst) MeV with a significance of 10 standard deviations. We interpret the observed peak as being due to monochromatic photons from the radiative transition Upsilon(3S)-->gammaetab(1S). This photon energy corresponds to an etab(1S) mass of 9388.9(-2.3)+3.1(stat)+/-2.7(syst) MeV/c2. The hyperfine Upsilon(1S)-etab(1S) mass splitting is 71.4(-3.1)+2.3(stat)+/-2.7(syst) MeV/c2. The branching fraction for this radiative Upsilon(3S) decay is estimated to be [4.8+/-0.5(stat)+/-1.2(syst)]x10(-4).

Abstract: The properties of the Ξ(1530) resonance are investigated in the Λc+→Ξ-π+K+ decay process. The data sample was collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider operating at center-of-mass energies 10.58 and 10.54 GeV. The corresponding integrated luminosity is approximately 230fb-1. The spin of the Ξ(1530) is established to be 3/2. The existence of an S-wave amplitude in the Ξ-π+ system is inferred, and its interference with the Ξ(1530)0 amplitude provides the first clear demonstration of the Breit-Wigner phase motion expected for the Ξ(1530). The P1(cos θΞ-) Legendre polynomial moment indicates the presence of a significant S-wave amplitude for Ξ-π+ mass values above 1.6GeV/c2, and a dip in the mass distribution at approximately 1.7GeV/c2 is interpreted as due to the coherent addition of a Ξ(1690)0 contribution to this amplitude. This would imply JP=1/2- for the Ξ(1690). Attempts at fitting the Ξ(1530)0 line shape yield unsatisfactory results, and this failure is attributed to interference effects associated with the amplitudes describing the K+π+ and/or Ξ-K+ systems. © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We report the measurement of the branching fractions of the rare decays B0→Ds(*)+π-, B0→Ds(*)+ρ-, and B0→Ds(*)- K(*)+ in a sample of 381×106Υ(4S) decays into BB̄ pairs collected with the BA?B?AR? detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- storage ring. We present evidence for the decay B0→Ds-K*+ and the vector-vector decays B0→Ds*+ρ- and B0→Ds*-K*+, as well as the first measurement of the vector meson polarization in these decays. We also determine the ratios of the CKM-suppressed to CKM-favored amplitudes r(D(*)π) and r(D(*)ρ) in decays B0→D(*)±π and B0→D(*)±ρ, and comment on the prospects for measuring the CP observable sin (2β+γ). © 2008 The American Physical Society.

Abstract: We report on an improved measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa CP-violating phase γ through a Dalitz plot analysis of neutral D meson decays to KS0π+π- and KS0K+K- produced in the processes B →DK, B →D*K with D*→Dπ0, Dγ, and B →DK* with K* →KS0π. Using a sample of 383×106 BB̄ pairs collected by the BABAR detector, we measure γ=(76±22±5±5)° (mod 180°), where the first error is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty, and the third reflects the uncertainty on the description of the Dalitz plot distributions. The corresponding 2-standard-deviation region is 29°

Abstract: We present measurements of branching fractions for five B-meson decays to two-body charmless final states. The data, collected with the BABAR detector at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, represent 459×106 BB̄ pairs. Abstract: We present a measurement of D0-D̄0 mixing parameters using the ratios of lifetimes extracted from a sample of D0 mesons produced through the process D*+→D0π+, which decay to K-π+, K-K+, or π-π+. The lifetimes of the CP-even, Cabibbo-suppressed modes K-K+ and π-π+ are compared with that of the CP-mixed, Cabibbo-favored mode K-π+ to obtain a measurement of yCP, which in the limit of CP conservation corresponds to the mixing parameter y. The analysis is based on a data sample of 384fb-1 collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We obtain yCP=[1.24±0.39(stat)±0.13(syst)]%, which is evidence for D0-D̄0 mixing at the 3σ level, and ΔY=[-0.26±0.36(stat) ±0.08(syst)]%, where ΔY constrains possible CP violation. Combining this result with a previous BABAR measurement of yCP obtained from a separate sample of D0→K-K+ events, we obtain yCP=[1.03±0.33(stat)±0. 19(syst)]%. © 2008 The American Physical Society.
