Platelets exert important roles in burn wound healing and involving in inflammatory regulation and tissue repair. Platelet distribution width (PDW) is an indicator representing platelet morphology and activation. In this study, we try to evaluate the value of PDW in predicting short-term prognosis and cost of paediatrics with partial-thickness thermal burns. This retrospective study enrolled 73 children with partial-thickness thermal burns. The Ability of PDW to predict wound healing was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. All 73 patients were assigned into high and low PDW group according to optimal cut-off value from ROC curve. Associations between PDW and 2-weeks healing rate, time to wound healing, in-hospital cost and length of stay were evaluated. Furthermore, Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to furtherly evaluate the significance of PDW in wound healing. We found that all baseline characteristics between groups were comparable (all P .05). High PDW group had a significant higher 2-weeks wound healing rate than those with a low PDW (66.7% versus 32.6%, P .01). Moreover, the mean time to wound healing of high PDW was obviously shorter than that of low PDW group (15.4 ± 10.1 vs 20.7 ± 10.9, P = .04). Univariate (OR: 0.24, 95%CI: 0.09-0.65, P .01) and multivariate (OR: 0.15, 95CI%:0.05-0.52, P .01) analysis confirmed PDW as an independent marker for wound healing. Patients in high PDW group had a significant lower medical burden than low PDW group, including in-hospital cost (13.7 ± 10.6 vs 21.9 ± 16.7, ×103RMB, P = .02) and length of stay (12.2 ± 8.8 vs 19.0 ± 10.8 days, P .01). In conclusion, PDW can sever as a potential indictor to predict the short-term prognosis of paediatrics with partial thickness thermal burns.

Blended-Wing-Body (BWB) aircraft have a relatively short fuselage and no horizontal tail, and they usually adopt podded engines and a V tail instead of a vertical tail. Generally, BWB aircraft have decreased longitudinal and directional static stability and damping. In this paper, the three-axis static and dynamic stability characteristics of an example BWB aircraft with podded engines are studied. According to the differences in flight characteristics of BWB aircraft and conventional aircraft, the different airworthiness requirements for BWB aircraft are analyzed: first, based on current airworthiness regulations and transport aircraft flying quality specification, the relaxation requirement of longitudinal static stability for BWB aircraft is studied; second, the influences of podded engines on longitudinal trim, attitude and trajectory responses and maximum directional control power requirement of BWB aircraft are analyzed; third, the changes in the proportional relationships between the takeoff characteristic speeds of the example BWB aircraft are analyzed. In view of these variations in directional control power requirement and relationships between takeoff characteristic speeds, new recommendations for airworthiness evaluation are proposed for BWB aircraft. The conclusions of this paper are helpful references for configuration design, flight control law design and airworthiness evaluation of BWB aircraft.

Mitogen-activated protein kinases (MPKs) play important role in response to environmental stress as crucial signal receptors or sensors. Our previous study indicated that salt stress acts as a positive factor to stimulate the production of pharmacodynamic metabolites in the medicinal plant Glycyrrhiza uralensis. Currently, little is known about the MPK gene family and their functions in the medicinal plant G. uralensis.Identification, comprehensive bioinformatic analysis, expression profiling, and response pattern under salt stress of the G. uralensis GuMPK gene family.Genome-wide investigation and expression profiling of the MPK gene family in G. uralensis, and their phylogenetic relationships, evolutionary characteristics, gene structure, motif distribution, promoter cis-acting element, and expression pattern under salt stress in two different salt-tolerant Glycyrrhiza species were performed.A total of 20 G. uralensis GuMPK genes were identified and categorized into five groups, and had conserved gene structure and motif distribution. Expression profiling of GuMPK genes suggested their potentially diverse functions in plant growth and in response to phytohormones and environmental stress, particularly GuMPK1, 2, 5, and 10 as key components for G. uralensis in response to abiotic stress. Further expression analysis under NaCl treatment in two different salt-tolerant Glycyrrhiza species displayed the MPKs' different response patterns, emphasizing the role of MPK2, 5, 7, and 16 as potentially crucial genes for Glycyrrhiza to respond to salt stress.Our results provide a genome-wide identification and expression profiling of MPK gene family in G. uralensis, and establish the foundation for screening key responsive genes and understanding the potential function and regulatory mechanism of GuMPKs in salt responsiveness.

In the continuous application and development of network technology, the reform in Internet information will inevitably bring about major changes in college education and teaching. Based on this background, the paper puts forward the influence of ‘Internet+’ on art design education. At the same time, the article explores the influence factors of the Internet on art design teaching based on the non-linear equation model. We use the parameterised cubic clipping algorithm to find the roots of non-polynomial equations. Through performance analysis and comparison, it is found that the root-finding algorithm proposed by us has better parallelism and lower-storage requirements. This algorithm has certain advantages in solving the weight of the factors that influence the Internet to art design teaching.

Licochalcone A (LA) is a chalcone flavonoid of Glycyrrhiza inflata, which has anti-cancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective effects. However, no anti-aging benefits of LA have been demonstrated in vitro or in vivo. In this study, we explored whether LA has an anti-aging effect in adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs). We performed β-galactosidase staining and measured reactive oxygen species, relative telomere lengths, and P16ink4a mRNA expression. Osteogenesis was assessed by Alizarin Red staining and adipogenesis by was assessed Oil Red O staining. Protein levels of related markers runt-related transcription factor 2 and lipoprotein lipase were also examined. RNA sequencing and measurement of glycolysis activities showed that LA significantly activated glycolysis in ADSCs. Together, our data strongly suggest that the LA have an anti-aging effect through activate the glycolysis pathway.

The wind tunnel virtual flight test realizes the dynamic semi-free flight of the model in the wind tunnel through the deflections of the control surface and uses the test data to identify the aerodynamic derivatives. The difference in dynamics between the wind tunnel virtual flight and the free flight leads to discrepancies between the identification and theoretical results. To solve the problems, a step-by-step identification and correction method for aerodynamic derivatives is established based on the difference between the equations of motion of wind tunnel virtual flight and free flight to identify and correct the lift, drag derivatives, pitch moment derivatives, and velocity derivatives, respectively. To establish an aerodynamic parameter identification model, the flight dynamics equation is expressed as a decoupled form of the free flight force and the influence of the test support frame force on the model’s motions through linearization. To ensure the identification accuracy of each aerodynamic derivative, an excitation signal design method based on amplitude–frequency characteristic analysis is proposed. The longitudinal aerodynamic parameter identification results of a blended-wing-body aircraft show that identification results with higher accuracy can be obtained by adopting the proposed identification and correction method.

Canals play a vital role in water supply, irrigation, flood control, electricity generation, and shipping. However, in seasonally frozen regions, canal slopes often suffer from damage as a result of frost heave. This research focused on the Hadashan Water Conservancy Hub, investigated the factors influencing frost heave through laboratory and field tests, and examined the effectiveness of three types of slope protection structures—insulation boards, concrete lining, and gravel. The results indicate that temperature and soil water content are important factors influencing frost heave. This research tested the effectiveness of an optimized concrete lining structure—articulated molded concrete—in protecting canal slopes against frost heave. This structure can protect the slope from frost damage, and has the ability to adjust to frost heave and thaw deformation. The results of the study will provide a reliable reference for the design of protection of canal slopes against frost heave in cold regions.

We construct, analyze, and numerically validate a class of conservative discontinuous Galerkin (DG) schemes for the Schrodinger-Poisson equation. The proposed schemes all shown to conserve both mass and energy. For the semi-discrete DG scheme the optimal L2 error estimates are provided. Efficient iterative algorithms are also constructed to solve the second-order implicit time discretization. The presented numerical tests demonstrate the method’s accuracy and robustness, confirming that the conservation properties help to reproduce faithful solutions over long time simulation.

In this paper, we studied how the sensitivity of an indirect X-ray detector was changed by adding the additive solvent DIO to the organic active-layers, such as P3HT:PCBM and PBDB-T:PCBM. The crystallinity and absorbance of the active-layer films were compared with different additive DIO contents. In both active-layers, the highest crystallinity and absorbance were obtained when 3 v% of the DIO was mixed with the active-layer solution. At the same mixing condition of the DIO, the highest sensitivity, of 1.17 mA/Gy · cm2, was obtained for the P3HT:PCBM detector, and the highest sensitivity, 1.87 mA/Gy · cm2, was obtained for the PBDB-T:PCBM detector. Compared to the detector without the DIO, the sensitivities of the detectors with the P3HT:PCBM and PBDB-T:PCBM increased by 18.12% and 20.27%, respectively.
