Liquid-phase exfoliation has provided an efficient and scalable route to obtain dispersions of layered materials. Dispersions in low-boiling solvents facilitate the ease of processing; however, the challenge of obtaining them at high concentrations still prevails. Herein, the use of 2-butanone (B.P. 80 °C) as an effective solvent for the exfoliation of transition-metal dichalcogenides is reported for the first time. Among these, MoS2 was studied in detail to maximize the dispersion concentrations, reaching values up to 5.5 mg ml−1 without the use of any stabilizer. This exceptional efficiency of 2-butanone to exfoliate and stabilize the dispersions at high concentrations enabled the size separation of nanosheets by liquid cascade centrifugation. Extensive characterization by spectroscopic and microscopic techniques revealed the efficacy of the proposed process in separating mono- and few-layers. This paper proposes an automated vehicle insurance policy summarizing application. “Explain to Me” is one such software/tool which enable you to summarize the content of documents regarding vehicle insurance policies by using the NLP, machine learning and deep learning applications. The program targets mainly insurance users and suppliers of insurance services. Due to the increase of vehicle accidents, the vehicle insurance industry has gained more popularity currently. Therefore, different insurance companies have introduced a variety of insurance policies to customers. Vehicle insurance policy documents consist lot of insurance terms that should be read with more attention. As the main objective, this system filters unnecessary data in the particular document, and finalize a summary as the output. As another major component, the application “On the spot claimer” which is never before in Sri Lankan vehicle insurance industry, is another major part of this project that works as suggesting the most relevant insurance claiming that can be claimed by the user after detection of the type of damage through mobile phone camera. Another part of this research project, the function known as the Recommender, which works along with the summarization tool, is a recommendation system with a view of recommending more favorable rules for the assertion of alternatives that exist in the corresponding, equivalent documents of other companies. Background Following the guidelines of the World Health Organization, Brazil considers violence to be a public health problem, transversal to the care processes. Notifications are carried out using specific instruments and monitored by the health surveillance sector for non-communicable diseases and conditions. The implementation of Violence Prevention Centers (NPV) in all health services in the city of São Paulo - Brazil was established, composed of professionals from the service itself, which aims to develop actions to care for this population and provide technical support to team professionals, at different levels of care. Difficulty of professionals in dealing with situations was observed, resulting in wrong referrals. The need was identified to establish a training space for professionals in order to improve care and mitigate situations of violence, which would not impact the service agenda and at low costs. Methods One meeting per month with NPV members in the region. The situational diagnosis was raised with the workers through conversation circles, a thematic schedule was developed with Active Methodology and exemplified with a previously chosen case. Results Frequency of all health services, increase in the completion, specific instruments, correct targeting of victims, establishment of dynamic flows between services and identification of emotional difficulties in dealing with situations. Conclusions the results corroborate the findings that place spaces of exchange between professionals as fundamental in the process of caring for people in situations of violence, being a technology accessible to services, not only for carrying out Permanent education, but also as a care strategy for workers. This experience has potential for implementation in other contexts, notably those that, as in the Brazilian reality, still struggle in the face of great social, economic and gender inequalities. Biofouling poses a serious concern for the district cooling (DC) industry. Current industry practises for monitoring biofouling continue to rely on culture-based methods for microbial enumeration, which are ultimately flawed. Computational flow cytometric (cFCM) analyses, which offer enhanced reproducibility and streamlined analytics versus conventional flow cytometry were applied to samples taken from 3 sites in each of 3 plants over a 5-week sampling program. We asked whether the application of cFCM to monitoring planktonic community dynamics in DC plants could be able to provide sufficient information to enhance microbiological-control strategies at site and inform about plant performance impacts. The use of cFCM enabled the evaluation of biocide dosing, deep cleaning treatment efficiencies and routes of microbial ingress into the studied systems. Additionally, inherent risks arising from the reintroduction of microbiological communities into recently cleaned WCT basins from contaminated cooling waters were identified. However, short-term dynamics did not relate with plant performance metrics. In summary, the insights offered by this approach can inform on plant status, enable evaluations of microbial loads during biofouling mitigation programs and, ultimately, enhance industry management of the biofouling process.

The purpose of the study is to assess the benefits of maintenance chemotherapy (CT) in epithelial ovarian cancer with CT and surgery. The primary and secondary endpoints of the study were progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), respectively.Three hundred patients with ovarian cancer (registered between January 2012 and December 2013) received 6 cycles of 3 weekly CT (injection paclitaxel 175 mg/mThe PFS at 1 and 2 years was 91% and 80% in study arm and 65% and 50% in control arm; the differences were statistically significant (P = 0.010). The 5-year overall survival was 43% versus 38% in study and control arms, respectively (P = 0.410) and 5-year PFS was 28% versus 18% (P = 0.039) in maintenance and observation arm, respectively. Except for peripheral neuropathy, there was no statistically significant difference in toxicities between the two arms.The study suggests that 6 cycles of single-agent paclitaxel maintenance therapy significantly prolongs the duration of PFS and better trends toward OS, though a large study is needed to come to a conclusion.

Social stigmatization is a virtual curse imposed on certain Indian social sections by the colonial government as part of their contextual political strategies by late nineteenth century. The so-called denotified tribes (formerly known as ex-criminal tribes) in Indian society occupy this state-made category. According to the latest survey reports, India has 198 groups belonging to nomadic and denotified tribes: unorganized, scattered and utter nobodies. Social justice is alien to them and economic disempowerment eventually resulted in slavery, bonded labour and poverty. Public welfare measures pay scant attention to the issue of reform and rehabilitation of these sections and, they are made to suffer from an identity crisis today. Most of these communities are split under reserved categories: Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes. The work tries to present a narrative detailing the conditions of denotified tribes during colonial and post-colonial India. And the undeclared wish in doing so is to seek the attention of those in policy-making and decision-making bodies under the Indian government.
