This contribution fills the Diptera biodiversity knowledge gap of two National Nature Reserves in the east of Slovakia. In total, 53 flies species from 24 families were confirmed in NNR Dreveník and NNR Sivá Brada. Among them tree new records of Dolichopodidae for the fauna of Slovakia: Campsicnemus magius (Loew, 1845), Chrysotus palustris Verrall, 1876, Ephydridae: Notiphila (Agrolimna) uliginosa Haliday, 1839) as well as four valuable species known only from few records from Slovakia Tachytrechus ocior Loew, Dixella obscura (Loew, 1849), Psilopa stackelbergi Nartshuk, 1970, Cnodacophora stylifera (Loew, 1870). As an additional new record Sybistroma discipes (Germar, 1817) (Dolichopodidae) is added from Levoča town, near Röhrgrund pond. The knowledge of the biodiversity of protected areas is crucial for the appropriate management and protection of fauna in these rare areas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The serious and growing threat posed by biological invasions to biodiversity and livelihoods means that public engagement in dealing with problems of invasive alien species is ever more urgent and necessary hence a citizen science experiment was carried out in north-eastern Italy. The study aimed i) to raise awareness of invasive alien species threatening trees and forests, and ii) to perform monitoring activities of a group of wood borers as an example, involving teachers and students (aged 11 to 18) of high schools. Students and teachers were given background knowledge and trained about the protocol for collecting data in schoolyards/grounds. Native (Anisandrus dispar (Fabricius, 1792), Xyleborinus saxesenii (Ratzeburg, 1837)) and exotic ambrosia beetles (Anisandrus maiche Kurentsov, Cnestus mutilatus (Blandford), Xylosandrus crassiusculus (Motschulsky, 1866), Xylosandrus germanus (Blandford, 1894)) were used as the target species, as they could be easily detected through accessible and low-cost traps requiring limited effort. The traps were exposed for 24 hours weekly between March and June 2021. The experiment also aimed to strengthen public involvement, connecting environmental education and experiential outdoor learning. The mutual collaboration resulted in a wider knowledge of the potential impact of exotic species. It also led to new geographical citizen-science records of two alien ambrosia beetles considered to be quarantine pests by the European Union: C. mutilatus, new for the European part of the EPPO (European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization) region, and A. maiche, which was previously found only in Eastern European EPPO member countries. We present the first record of Nidilaelaps Shaw in the Caribbean area on the basis of a new species, Nidilaelaps cubaensis sp. nov., collected from forest litter in Cuba. The Asian walnut moth, Garella musculana (Erschov, 1874) (Lepidoptera: Nolidae), is a major pest of walnut. Native to Central Asia, it was found to be invasive in 2008 in Sevastopol (Crimea) and nowadays widespread in Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Russia. Here, we account for the finding of G. musculana in NE Italy (Veneto region) in 2021, where adults were found in a light lamp, representing the first record of the Asian walnut moth for this country and Western Europe. Adult specimens were identified morphologically on both external characters and genitalia features. G. musculana larvae and damage were also observed on a plantation of Juglans regia L. (Fagales: Juglandaceae) located in Veneto in October 2021. A COI‐barcoding analysis was performed to attain a molecular characterization of our specimens and probate our morphological identification. However, because no sequence of G. musculana was present in major gene databases and the similarity of our sequences with those attributed to Garella ruficirra (Hampson, 1905) (Lepidoptera: Nolidae) made clear that these taxa deserved further scrutiny regarding their specific distinction. Some subtle differences in the male terminalia could be found between them and their vast geographic distributions, but the strong similarity in most features calls for further morphological and genetical insights on a broad set of samples to assess whether they represent two closely related, substantially parapatric species, or a unique, geographically varying entity. Bruchidius marginalis, a seed beetle, is found in various countries, the including the Baltic countries, Balkan peninsula, central, northern, and the western Europe, and Transcaucasian countries. In Russia, the species was previously noted in the south of its European part, Saratov and Kaliningrad regions. Oxytropis pilosa, a South Palearctic species, grows in central Europe, the European part of Russia, the Caucasus, Siberia, Mongolia, and Asia Minor. It is distributed in the steppe zone, insular steppes, forb and forb-grass steppes, and steppe meadows. A count of damaged O. pilosa seedlings was made and the percentage of fruit infection by seed-eating insects was calculated. The level of infestation in the O. pilosa fruits was 23%, and mass emergence of adults was observed in September. When examining leguminous plants for infection with seed-eating insects, a species of carpophage Bruchidius marginalis was identified, which is the first for the territory of the Republic of Khakassia.

Paracanthocobitis mackenziei (Chaudhuri, 1910) is an ornamental fish belonging to the family Nemachilidae, mainly reported from several localities in the Ganges River basin of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in Northern India. During a study on indigenous ornamental fish diversity in Paschim Medinipur district, P. mackenziei has been recorded for the first-time from Kangsabati River basin. The specimens have been identified based on morphometric and meristematic craracteristics. This report is the extension of the distribution of the species up to the South-Western part of West Bengal.

The genus Agrypnus Eschscholtz, 1829 (Coleoptera: Elateridae) and the species A. murinus (Linnaeus, 1758) are recorded for Mongolia for the first time. This species is widely distributed in the Palaearctic, mainly in Euro-Siberian region. Two specimens of A. murinus were collected in northeastern Mongolia (Töv Province), which is probably the southeasternmost border of the species range.

In June 2022, an adult of Stomopteryx flavipalpella (Jäckh, 1959) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) was found in a light trap in Genk (Belgium, Limburg). This species is mentioned here for the first time from Belgium. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The first data on the presence of the ant Aphaenogaster finzii Müller, 1921 in Italy are presented. Mainly distributed across the Balkans, from Greece to Croatia, A. finzii was discovered in Calabria, in the South-Eastern part of the Italian peninsula. As in the case of many other species of ants and other organisms found in this region, a trans-Ionian dispersal appears to be the most likely explanation of its distribution.

Metcalfa pruinosa (Say, 1830) was recorded for the first time in Poland, in the city of Warsaw. This Nearctic species of the Flatidae family was introduced into Europe in the late 1970s and has expanded its range ever since. We provide data on the first record as well as briefly characterize the insect in terms of its diagnostic features, biology and potential harm to agriculture and the environment.

A group of black-legged mosquito species within the subgenus Ochlerotatus Lynch Arribalzaga, 1891 of the genus Aedes Meigen, 1818 is difficult to identify based on their morphology. This group includes Aedes pionips Dyar, 1919, whose first record in the Erzgebirge (Germany) is reported in this study. The objective was to compile and add species specific characters for the morphological discrimination of Ae. pionips from similar mosquitoes in order to facilitate species identification. Generated cytochrome c oxidase subunit I gene DNA sequences of Ae. pionips from Germany were compared to sequences from related species, using a phylogenetic tree.

A first record of butterfly species Kallima inachus was reported in Uttar Pradesh. A fourday preliminary visit to Suhelwa Wildlife Sanctuary from the 6th of March 2022 to the 9th of March 2022 was undertaken and photographs and coordinates of butterfly were taken. The present record confirms the presence of K. inachus in Suhelwa Wildlife Sanctuary and is the first record of this species from the state of Uttar Pradesh. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A ladybird beetle, collected from different localities of Kolhapur and Satara districts (Maharashtra) was identified as Henosepilachna nana (Kapur, 1950). The presence of this species in Maharashtra considerably extends its range to the north-west by about 700 km. Since this species is found on vegetables, Pumpkin (Cucurbita spp.), Cucumber (Cucumis spp.), and Karit fruit plant (Cucumis spp.). It is being recorded for the first time that this species is a pest of these vegetables. Also, molecular phylogeny has been studied for the first time in this species in which, this species is the sister taxon of Henosepilachna boisduvali. This species has been described briefly with colour photographs of male genitalia, female coxites and the 6th sternal plate of female, tarsi, & pronotum. In autumn 2021 several caterpillars, exuviae, and feeding signs of Synanthedon theryi Le Cerf, 1916 (Sesiidae) were found in the bark and trunks of big Tamarix gallica L. and T. tetrandra Pall. ex M.Bieb. (Tamaricaceae) trees on the northern French coast and on the Belgian coast. This article concerns the first Belgian observations of this clearwing moth and the Northernmost record from Europe. The primarily benthic, shallow-water, reef-associated Indian frogfish, Antennarius indicus Schultz 1964, belongs to the family Antennariidae (order Lophiiformes) and may be found in nearly all of the world's tropical and subtropical oceans and seas. Comprehensive morphological parameters of the Indian frogfish found in the Hooghly and Matlah estuary systems of India are provided by the current study. A single specimen with a length 97.87 mm and weight 33.48 g was collected from the winter migratory bagnet catch at Fraserganj fish landing site. Till now, there are no records of the occurrence of frogfishes in the Hooghly-Matlah estuarine system. The morphological features such as dorsal-fin spines - 3, dorsal-fin rays - 12, anal fin rays - 7, pectoral-fin rays - 10, and pelvic fin rays - 5, confirmed the first record of Indian frogfish A. indicus from the Hooghly-Matlah estuarine system. A new pathogenic fungus was noticed in 2020 for the first time as white rot on cuttings of sugarcane-grown fields of El-Mattana district (Luxor governorate), Kom-Ombo district (Asswan governorate) and Qus district (Qena governorate), Egypt. The causal organism was isolated from affected cuttings using Koch's postulates, during 2021 and repeated at 2022, the relationship between the recovered isolate and the observed symptoms had been established. Artificially inoculated cuttings of sugarcane cultivar G.T. 54-9 gave symptoms similar to those appeared on naturally field-infected sugarcane cuttings. Morphological characters and molecular analysis, based on fungal internal transcribed spacer (ITS), were carried out to detect the recovered isolate. Identification of fungal pathogen revealed that Efibula tuberculata, Basidiomycota, was the causal organism of the white-rot of cuttings and roots of sugarcane. According to the available literature, this was the first report of occurring E. tuberculata isolate lux in Egypt and also as a sugarcane pathogen globally. Further studies to find the potent strategy to control, determine the susceptibility of different sugarcane cultivars and the fungus host range are needed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aurelianus yunnananus Xiong, 1987 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomomorpha: Coreidae: Coreinae: Mictini) is reported for the first time from India. It was collected from Tripura, in the eastern part of our country. Brief redescription and several photos, including those of the male genitalia, are provided along with the images of the male holotype and female allotype. We present a record of Hippocampus hippocampus (the short-snouted seahorse) from a museum collection specimen, arguing that it most likely represents the first known occurrence of this species from the Romanian Black Sea waters. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Isophya posthumoidalis is a rare species native to Central Europe that is only found in a very small area of Poland, Slovakia, and Romania. Since Bazyluk's description in 1971, it has been regarded as endemic to the Eastern Bieszczady mountains. In 1976, we discovered this species in Zakarpattia Province (Transcarpathia, Ukraine), but the records were not published, because there were no males available. In our study, a total of 33 specimens of three cyprinid fish (Squalius squalus, Phoxinus lumaireul, and Pelasgus minutus) from Belčišta wetland (south-west Macedonia) were subjected to a parasitological investigation, by season. One specimen of Acanthocephalus lucii was found in autumn, in intestines of minnow (Phoxinus lumaireul Linnaeus, 1758). The record of Acanthocephalus lucii in minnow is considered as the first in N. On 13 January 2019, an individual Oriental turtle dove (Streptopelia orientalis Latham, 1790) was recorded. The species is shortly observed during tree-perching in an intensive agricultural landscape near Temerin Town, Vojvodina Province, Northern Serbia. The observed dove was a putative juvenile bird belonging to the subspecies meena. This finding represents the first observation of the Oriental turtle dove and the sixth native species from the order of Columbiformes recorded in Serbia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The sap beetle, Phenolia (Lasiodites) picta (Macleay) (Coleoptera, Nitidulidae), is the first record of this genus and species for the Iranian fauna. The larvae and adults were collected inside ripe fruits of Citrus aurantium, Citrus sinensis var. valencia, Diospyros kaki, Pyrus communis, Prunus persica and P. persica var. nucipersica in the gardens of Gavan Ahangar village of Mazandaran province. The dinoflagellate genus Metadinophysis (Dinophyceae: Dinophysales) is recorded for the first time in the Buenaventura Bay and Uramba National Natural Park-PNN Uramba in Málaga Bay in the central Colombian Pacific and its density is analyzed with tidal changes. Cells were recorded with subtriangular and reniform outline in ventral view and small epitheca. Left sulcal fin with three ribs and the right one very reduced or absent, presenting average size 43.1 µm total length and 25.0 µm total width, the density of the genus was analyzed under four factors, high tide and low tide in Buenaventura Bay and in Málaga Bay; significant differences were found between the density at high tide and low tide for Buenaventura Bay, the difference between high tide in Malaga Bay and low tide in Buenaventura Bay. Likewise, it was established that the density distribution has no spatial structure in any of the tidal events. With the present study, the genus Metadinophysis is recorded for the first time in the Colombian Pacific, extending its distribution globally. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aulagromyza heringii (Hendel) is a widespread leaf miner fly all over Europe, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and China of Fraxinus excelsior. Infested leaves with leaf-miner larvae were collected from F. excelsior in Tehran province in 2016. During laboratory rearing, adult flies and parasitoids were obtained and identified. We present here the first recorded instance of Lamprotatus crassipes Thomson, 1876 (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) serving as a parasitoid of Aulagromyza heringii, and also report the first occurrence of both A. heringii and the genus Lamprotatus Walker, 1843 in Iran. The callichirid ghost shrimp Grynaminna tamakii Poore, 2000 was heretofore known only by the original description. The type series consisted of specimens from the south of Shimabara Peninsula, Nagasaki Prefecture, although it was noted that the species occurred also at Hayasaki Inlet on Oyano Island, Kami-Amakusa, Kumamoto Prefecture. In this study, we report on this rarely collected species on the basis of 28 specimens from the western coasts of Kyushu, Kagoshima Bay and Tanega-shima Island, adding new locality records since the original description. Most of the examined specimens were collected from the lower intertidal zone of sand or muddy sand flats at low tide by using yabby pump. The identification was confirmed by genetic analysis using the mitochondrial 16S rRNA gene in comparison with the sequences registered in the GenBank database combined with morphological comparison. Mantis shrimps are the most significant predators in the shallow waters and intertidal regions of tropical and subtropical marine ecosystems and they are integral components of the food chain. Additionally, mantis shrimps are sensitive to environmental pollutants and indicate poor environmental conditions through their ecological behaviour. As a fisheries species, they hold immense socio-economic importance for several countries. In this study, we document three species of stomatopods found in the waters of Gujarat, India. Notably, Manningia arabica (Manning, 1990), which is rare and endemic to the Arabian Sea, is reported for the first time in Indian waters. Furthermore, Alimopsis supplex (Wood-Mason, 1875) and Oratosquillina quinquedentata (Brooks, 1886) are also documented for the first time in the waters of Gujarat. Identifying alien species is important to ensure the early detection of biological invasions and survey shifts in species distributions in the context of global change. Here, we report on three alien bark and ambrosia beetles newly detected in Switzerland: Cyclorhipidion distinguendum (Eggers, 1930), C. pelliculosum (Eichhoff, 1878), and Hypothenemus eruditus (Westwood, 1834). These species were recorded for the first time during a comprehensive survey of saproxylic beetles accross major forest types and along an altitudinal gradient during the entire growing season in the southern Alps, in the canton of Ticino. Their local abundance and number of occurrences accross different lowland forest habitats, including alluvial forests of national importance, indicates that all three species are already naturalized. Given their polyphagy, it is likely that all three species will become more extensively distributed across Switzerland, with a yet unknown environmental impact. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The smallest fish of the Mediterranean Sea, pygmaean goby, Pomatoschistus nanus , and Massuti's goby, Buenia massutii , were obtained from new locations. While P. nanus specimens were collected from both the north-eastern and south-eastern Aegean Sea, B. massutii specimens were collected from two different sub-basins, Sea of Marmara and the Aegean Sea, representing the first report of this species in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. The species were identified by both morphological and molecular techniques. Two species of jewel beetles (Coleoptera: Buprestidae), Eurythyrea quercus (Herbst, 1780) and E. aurata (Pallas, 1776), are recorded for the Republic of Belarus. During 2020, specimens were collected on the oak trunks in floodplain forest in Pripyatskiy National Park (Gomel Region). According to the Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera, ranges of two species of the genus Eurythyrea Dejean, 1833 (E. quercus and E. austriaca Linnaeus, 1767) include the territory of Belarus. However, study of collections and literature sources did not provide reliable information about previous records of these species in this country. Eurythyrea aurata is recorded for the Republic of Belarus for the first time. A key to Eurythyrea species of Belarusian fauna is given.

The habitat type and food availability always influence the population size of many organisms. Bird’s feeding pattern should be abstracted to complete avian community structure data. The agronomy main research farm of Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology is a well-managed multi-crop agro-ecosystem which provides a suitable ground for ecological research. In a multi-crop farmland, the association of Barn Swallow Hirundo rustica Linnaeus, 1758,with the Indian mustard Brassica juncea (L.) Czernajew, 1859 cropshave been recorded for the first time while hovering only on this field. A flock of Barn swallows was recorded in 32 field visits while flying continuously over the Indian mustard field after flowering to ripening of fruit in the morning and sometimes in afternoon also. The range of the birds was recorded from 6 to 61 with a mean individual of 36.03 ± 15.37 hovering for 1.83 hr daily. This may be the behaviour for the feeding pattern of these flying insectivorous birds which was not seen in other crop-fields with same insect diversity describing it as not the only reason for this behaviour. To reveal this poorly understood behaviour offlying insectivore birds, a detailed long term behavioural study with gut content analysis is needed to explain the particular reason behind this behaviour of Barn swallows which will support the conservation of these birds and control their population decline.

This note reported the first record of Spotted Flycatcher Muscicapa striata(Pallas, 1764) (Passeriformes, Muscicapidae) from the state of Odisha, India. This species was recorded from the north and western part of the country as well as from the Western Ghats,but this note reports the first record from the Eastern Ghats of India.

Jellyfish have wide distributions throughout the world’s oceans, with new species records emerging from increasingly broad areas as novel identification approaches are implemented, including citizen science. Here, the first accounts of Thysanostoma loriferum (Ehrenberg, 1837) and Netrostoma setouchianum (Kishinouye, 1902) in Hong Kong waters are reported based on photographs and videos collected by the Hong Kong Jellyfish Project. Together, these sightings obtained through a citizen science project provide evidence for a greater diversity of jellyfish in Hong Kong oceanic waters than has previously been recognized.

Spiny lobsters of the family Palinuridae Latreille, 1802 are known to be industrial crustaceans in the global fishing market amongst other crustacean marine species. Panulirus femoristriga has been reported in the Maldives, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia (Ambon, Irian Jaya, Celebes Island, Seram Island), the Polynesian Islands, Solomon Islands, New Hebrides, Wallis and Futuna and off the coast of northern Australia, but there is uncertainty about their distributions due to the morphological similarity with Panulirus femoristriga, Panulirus longipes bispinosus and Panulirus brunneiflagellum. However, the identification on P. femoristiga can only be confirmed if the morphological descriptions are mentioned in literature.A specimen of the spiny lobster Panulirus femoristriga Von Martens, 1872 was discovered in Semporna, located on the west coast of Sabah State, Malaysia Borneo. While the status of P. femoristriga has been classified as "least concern" on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List, studies on the species' population size, habitat and distribution are still inadequate. This study adopted both morphological and molecular approaches for species delimitation.The phylogenetic position of the Sabah P. femoristriga was revealed by the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase gene (COI) marker. This represents the first record of the species in the coastal waters of Sabah, despite its wide geographical distribution in the Indo-West Pacific. A revision on the species global distribution was also conducted by harvesting all literature with species named Panulirus longipes femoristriga and Panulirus femoristriga which were available online including those prior to year 2001 before the presence of P. femoristriga is confirmed. Due to the uncertainties on the morphological distribution in previous literature, further studies are required to fill in the missing data for confirmation.

We report a considerable range expansion of four Ponto-Caspian amphipod species in transitional waters along the southeastern Baltic Sea coast. Chaetogammarus warpachowskyi and Dikerogammarus haemobaphes were found for the first time in Latvia, the former being common along the coast, while the latter was encountered only in the port of Riga. This indicates a 400 to 600 km expansion along the coast, assuming an origin from the Curonian or Vistula lagoons. We also officially document an expansion for Chelicorophium curvispinum in Latvia of ca. 300 km until Riga, confirming recent unpublished records. Moreover, we document a second invasion route of Pontogammarus robustoides into Estonia from nearby Latvian waters by uncovering a population at the port of Pärnu. This species was previously known in Estonia only from the Gulf of Finland (>500 km from Pärnu). With the exception of D. haemobaphes, all newly recorded species were represented by various life-stages and ovigerous females, indicating viable populations. Overall, our findings reveal that Ponto-Caspian amphipods are much more widespread in the Baltic area than previously known and highlight the need for more stringent monitoring.

On 11 November 2021 in Lokeren in the province of East Flanders, the first specimen of Borkhausenia nefrax Hodges, 1974 (Lepidoptera: Oecophoridae) for Belgium was identified on external characteristics. Mesocyclops pehpeiensis Hu 1943 has been found in the Bogataya River, which connects the Bogatinskii Reservoir to Brazhnikov Bay, both near Vladivostok. We report the first sightings of the semi-slug Vitrinobrachium breve for Belgium. Along with the recent records in France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and the western German states, our records considerably widen the distribution range north of the Alps. We discuss why this expansion could be apparent due to the species having been previously overlooked and the role of citizen science in the detection of previously overlooked species. White-eared Kob, Kobus kob leucotis, Lichtenstein & Peters, 1853, is known to occur in the Gambela-Boma landscape in western Ethiopia and South Sudan. They live in herds and are generally found near water, in such places as plains, woodlands, swamps, and flood plains. We deployed 36 camera traps in Omo National Park and one of them took two images of a White-eared Kob. This is the first documentation from Omo National Park and showing that its range extends further to Omo than previously known and, therefore, the entire area (Gambella to Omo) can be considered as a range extension. A single specimen of the grey triggerfish, Balistes capriscus Gmelin, 1789, was caught by a speargun at 18 m water depth in the vicinity of the Çanakkale Strait in the Turkish Straits System, between the Aegean Sea and the Marmara Sea. Its total length was 57.8 cm and weight was 2270 g. The given size is the maximum observed length for the grey triggerfish, B. capriscus, in the Mediterranean Sea. Specimens of Imparfinis were recently collected in north‐western Argentina from the Bermejo River basin (Salta and Jujuy Provinces), del Valle River (Salta Province) and Horcones River (Santiago del Estero Province). An integrative approach to taxonomy, combining a detailed morphological study and molecular phylogenetic analyses, was applied to determine the species identity of these specimens. A principal components analysis of morphological data clustered the specimens from north‐western Argentina and from the Amazon basin, indicating a close morphological resemblance. Also, a molecular phylogenetic analysis showed populations of I. guttatus from Argentina and Peru forming a clade. According to the conducted haplotype network analysis these populations are distinct in two mutations. Thus, in the absence of morphological or molecular data indicating the contrary, the combined method supports the identity of the specimens from the tributaries of the Paraguay River in Argentina as I. guttatus, whose type locality is in the upper Beni River basin in Bolivia. This contribution is also the first record for this species from Argentina. The disjunct distribution of I. guttatus provides new evidence reinforcing the hypothesis for the origin of the Paraguayan ichthyofauna. A new species of scorpion, Buthus turkana sp. n. (Scorpiones: Buthidae), is described from the northwest of Kenya, in the Turkana County nearby Lake Turkana, in the Kenyan Rift Valley. A total of 93 Individuals of wild spiders were collected from June through September 2019, from different regions of Al-Najaf Province, Iraq. Five spider species were recorded, four belong to Araneae order: Plexippus paykulli (Audouin, 1825), Habronttus aestus Maddison, sp. n., Artema doriae (Thorell, 1881) and Loxosceles rufescens (Dufour 1820). One species belonging to order Solifugae is Galeodes arabs C.L. Koch, 1842. This is the first record of species H. aestus in Iraq.
