The article deals with the concept of a one-dimensional array of renewable energy sources with high-performance highway and street lighting systems. The technique of determining the main transmission line parameters is also presented. The possible structure of individual matching converters and a reversible converter for integration with power grid is suggested. The basic features of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control for series connection structure are simulated and analyzed as well.

The article deals with the structure of the converters which connects the one-dimensional (linear) distributed energy sources that are installed along the streets and highways, to low voltage distribution network without the use of individual transformer isolations.

The authors present and analyzes the specific diagram of the electrical and pneumatic part of ozonator. According to analysis results the authors give recommendations for the considered systems realization in the medical ozone generators.

The neutron detector with 3He -filled counters placed in the focal plane of the VASSILISSA separator is used for measuring the average number and determining the multiplicity distribution of prompt neutrons from the spontaneous fission of heavy short-lived isotopes. The test reaction $\ensuremath \mathrm{{}^{48}Ca}+\mathrm{{}^{206}Pb}=2{\rm n}+\mathrm{{}^{252}No}$ is used for tuning the separator settings and calibrating the detector system with the spontaneous fission of the 252No . The average neutron number per 252No spontaneous fission event is as large as $\ensuremath \bar{\nu}=4.06 \pm 0.12$ . The short-lived heavy isotope 244Fm , produced in the complete fusion reaction 40Ar + 206Pb , is investigated. The average number of neutrons per spontaneous fission of 244Fm from the experimental data ( $\ensuremath \bar{\nu}=3.3 \pm 0.3$ is determined for the first time.

New high-statistics data have been obtained on the decay properties of 253 No and its daughters using the reaction 207 Pb( 48 Ca, 2n) 253 No. This was made possible thanks to an improved transmission of fusion–evaporation residues through the VASSILISSA recoil separator and an increased efficiency of the GABRIELA detector setup. The decay schemes of 253 No and 249 Fm have been revisited. The known level scheme of 249 Fm has been confirmed, including a new level at 669 keV excitation energy. The observation of L X-rays in coincidence with the α decay of 249 Fm gives additional support to the ground-state configuration of 1 / 2 + [ 631 ] instead of 5 / 2 + [ 622 ] for 245 Cf. In both 249 Fm and 245 Cf, the interpretation of the data has been checked by comparing experimental α -particle and γ -ray spectra with realistic simulations of the decay cascades and of the interaction of particles and photons in the detectors of GABRIELA. The population of a 0.7 ms isomeric state attributed to 253 No is confirmed by an α -tagged calorimetric measurement and the corresponding γ and electron decay spectra are presented. Possible evidence for more than one isomer is given and a tentative partial decay scheme is discussed in the light of the available experimental data, systematics and theoretical expectations.

Forthcoming experiments aimed at studying the mechanism of collinear cluster tripartition are planning to be performed with the new facility. Charged products will be registered with the double arm time‐of‐flight spectrometer composed of mosaics of PIN ‐diodes and MCP (micro channel plates) based timing detectors. Several tens of 3He‐filled counters will be gathered round the 252Cf source. In order to choose an optimal configuration of the neutron detector and other parameters of the experiment special modeling has performed using both “neutron barrel” and known MCNP code. The first test run of the new facility is in progress also its “neutron skin” in under construction.

International audience; An IN2P3-JINR collaboration has launched a project called GABRIELA at the Flerov Laboratory for Nuclear Reactions (FLNR) within the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna (Russia). The goal of the project is to perform gamma-ray and internal conversion electron spectroscopy of heavy nuclei produced in fusion-evaporation reactions and transported to the focal plane of the recoil separator VASSILISSA. During five experimental campaigns of GABRIELA, the detection system has gained in sensitivity and new spectroscopic information has been obtained for 249Fm, 251Fm, 253No and 255Lr.

An active filter control strategy that uses pqr instantaneous power concept has been proposed to compensate for the harmonic distortion, line neutral current and reactive power in three-phase four-wire systems. The effectiveness of the proposed control was proved in simulations using Matlab/Simulink model of the power-supply system with an active filter where the harmonic pollution, reactive power and imbalance caused by a highly distorting load have been drastically reduced.

Neutron detectors with (3)He-filled proportional counters are described. The use of these detectors in measuring the probability of neutron emission (in particular, multiparticle neutron emission) after the beta decay of neutron-rich nuclei and in studying rare events of spontaneous fission of superheavy nuclei is considered.

For experiments aimed at the study of spontaneous fission of transfermium nuclei improvements in the focal plane detector system of recoil separa tor VASSILISSA have been made. The neutron detector consisting of 54 3He ‐filled counters has been mounted around the focal plane detector chamber. The multiplicity of prompt neutrons emitted in spontaneous fission of 246 Fm was measured.

1. In alloys Ni-(8–10%) Cr-(8–14%) Fe an anomalously high (∼10) suscentibility at temperatures above the Curie point was found. 2. The alloys Ni-(8–10%) Cr-(8–14%) Fe have lower coercive force (not more than 8 A/m) and lower saturation fields (500 A/m) than industrial thermomagnetic alloys (25 and 5000 A/m, respectively). The alloys are recommended for elements of temperature sensors and relays, and also for the stabilization of alternating fields.

The aim of the study was investigation of urolith growth process using the method of ontogenetic analysis. A total of 435 autochtonic uroliths obtained after surgery or spontaneous elimination from 422 patients with urolithiasis were studied with roentgenophasic analysis on diffractometer DRON-3, IR-spectroscopy, electron-probe. The concrements incorporate several zones with a nucleus as one of the zones. In some cases spherolith consisted of several splitted individuums with different orientation. Their nuclei contained phosphates and organic substance resultant from renal inflammation. In the other cases lithogenesis of the spherolith started from monocrystal microscopic nucleus which arrived from the kidney. The number of spherolith emergences can be interpreted as a rhythmic course of the disease. A prolonged macrorhythm characterizes stable disease. Formation of cut surfaces of the spherolith defines interruption of rhythmic zonality. A change in the composition of the crystal medium does not stop concrement growth, it provokes replacement of one mineral phase for the other. The ontogenetic analysis has detected that in the position of the concrement in the kidney mineral substance of its deep zones undergoes phasic transformations and morphological alterations. In changing medium conditions there are recovery of surfaces of solution with a change of a mineral phase, formation of new growth rhythms, aggregation and compression of the particles. This explains mixed composition of most of uroliths.

Presently available experimental information on spontaneous fission of transfermium elements mainly concerns partial half ‐ lives. In addition, for Fm and No isotopes and for a few Md, Lr and Rf isotopes the total kinetic energy (TKE) and mass distributions of fission fragments from spontaneous fission were also accurately measured. Recoil in — flight separator VASSILISSA is widely used for the synthesis and study of decay properties of heavy and superheavy nuclei. It is planned in the future to measure the TKE and multiplicity distribution of prompt neutrons in spontaneous fission of other No. Now, the search of alternative methods of the neutrons detection was realized. During the search, with colleagues from Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP MSU), the properties of some inorganic scintillators, was investigate.

A new Separator for Heavy ELement Spectroscopy (SHELS) has been recently installed at the U-400 accelerator at FLNR, JINR in Dubna, Russia. The details of the upgrade as well as the results from some of the commissioning runs are discussed. The results of two experiments designed to synthesize element 115 isotopes in the {sup 243}Am+{sup 48}Ca reaction are presented. Two new elements with atomic numbers 113 and 115 were observed for the first time. With 248-MeV {sup 48}Ca projectiles, we observed three similar decay chains consisting of five consecutive {alpha} decays, all detected in a total time interval of 30 s. Each chain was terminated by a spontaneous fission (SF) with a high-energy release and a lifetime of about a day. With 253-MeV {sup 48}Ca projectiles, we registered a different decay chain of consecutive {alpha} decays detected in a time interval of 0.5 s, also terminated by spontaneous fission, but after 1.8 h. The decay properties of the eleven new {alpha}- and SF-decaying nuclei are consistent with expectations for consecutive {alpha} decays originating from the parent isotopes {sup 288}115 and {sup 287}115, produced in the 3n- and 4n-evaporation channels, respectively. Support for the assignment of the atomic numbers of all of the nuclei in the {sup 288}115 decay chain was obtained in an independent experiment in which a long-lived spontaneous fission activity, {sup 268}Db (15 events), was found to be chemically consistent with the fifth group of the periodic table.more » The odd-odd isotope {sup 288}115 was observed with largest cross section of about 4 pb. In the SF decay of {sup 268}Db, a total kinetic energy of 230 MeV and a neutron multiplicity per fission of 4.2 were measured. The decay properties of the 11 new isotopes with Z=105-115 and the production cross sections are in agreement with modern concepts of the role of nuclear shells in the stability of superheavy nuclei. The 4π spectrometer FOBOS was proved to be a high-efficiency tool for investigation of the characteristics of multi-body decays of hot heavy nuclei produced in nuclear reactions induced by heavy ions. The time-offlight measurements of charged fragments employing the radio-frequency (RF) signal of the cyclotron U400-M to deduce the START signal require no special START detectors and, hence, the big fraction of the total solid angle is available for particle detection. The lack of the RF signal in experiments aimed at search for the exotic decay modes in spontaneous fission enforces to use an additional START detector. The complicated target station equipped by a START detector shadows a large portion of detector modules making thus no sense to use the whole powerful detection system in such experiments. Therefore, it has been decided to build a simplified facility consisting of several standard FOBOS modules only. The miniFOBOS setup, a prototype of the FOBOS spectrometer, has been chosen for that purpose. It was exploited mainly to solve various method tasks related to the construction of the FOBOS spectrometer. The general idea of the modified miniFOBOS setup (MMF) consists in using a small reaction chamber which can be then unique for each experiment and the basic universal system maintaining the detectors. The special mounting cones are used to joint detectors with the reaction chamber (Fig. 1, 2). Such cones can be used, in particular, to build the high efficiency system joining six modules in the form of 3Dcross.

Microsurgical techniques have been developed for decompression of neurovascular formations of the vertebral canal in lumbar osteochondrosis. Surgical policy has been proposed in relation to the site of hernial prolapse by the disk diameter. Evidence for particle instability of was obtained. In the same experiment, the half lives of the very neutron-rich isotopes and were measured for the first time.

The results of a fragmentation reaction studying neutron-rich nuclei in the region N=20 will be summarized. The various β-delayed decay modes have been analyzed and the measurement of half-lives of some of the nuclei have been performed for the first time.

The properties of IR photocathodes intended for streak tubes as well as InGaAs/InP heterostructures were investigated. It has been shown that optical transmittance, photoluminicence, photovoltaic and C-V measurements made possible to control the heterostructure composition with the precision better than 1% and to determine its type of conductivity and carriers concentration. Since these techniques are nondestructive ones and they do not require any electric contacts deposited onto the structure they could be used for controlling of the grown heterostructures. The properties of InGaAs/InP heterostructures with Schottky barriers were studied by scanning electron microscope (SEM) working in electron beam induced current (EBIC) mode. It has been shown that for the investigated photocathodes the photoemission current value strongly depends on the applied anode voltage, and therefore at high electric field 104 V/cm the photoemission quantum efficiency is substantially increased. Sanitary and chemical examination of soil and water was carried out in State farm "Khramtsovskiy" (Beloyarsk region, Sverdlovsk province), where intoxication cases during outcropping were detected by chromatomass analysis of organic pollution. Local pesticide levels exceeding the MACs as a potential health hazard were noted.

L’introduction d’un traitement par un agoniste du GLP-1, l’exenatide pourrait constituer une alternative interessante a l’intensification du traitement insulinique. Materiels et Methodes Patients DT2 sous insuline ± ADO avec HbA1c > 7 % ou obesite. Suivi cohorte. Exenatide 5 µg X2 puis 10 µg X2 en add-on. Recul min 6 mois. Baisse des doses d’insuline si hypoglycemie. Resultats Caracteristiques patients a l’inclusion : 70 patients (41 ?, 29?) ; Age : 56 ± 9 ans ; anciennete diabete : 16,5 ans ; HbA1c = 8,67 ± 1,27% (6–11,5) ; BMI : 34,8 ± 6. L’insulinotherapie initiale comportait une seule injection d’insuline basale chez 25 patients (35 %) et plusieurs injections par jour (entre 2 et 5) chez 45 patients (64 %). La dose moyenne d’insuline etait 0,70 ± 0,4 U/kg/j. 16 patients (22%) ont arrete l’exenatide en raison d’une intolerance digestive ou d’une allergie au point d’injection. 54 patients (77%) ont continue le traitement sur une duree moyenne de 7,5 mois. 25 patients ont perdu du poids [-25 ; -0,3 kg]. 34 (62 %) patients ont ameliore leur equilibre glycemique avec une baisse moyenne d’HbA1c de 0,98 % [-2,3 ; -0,1 %] et une diminution de la dose totale d’insuline (0,68 a 0,53 U/kg/j) essentiellement grâce a une diminution de la dose d’insuline rapide (22,4 a 8,9 unites/jour).11 patients ont pu diminuer leur nombre d’injections par jour. Les patients qui perdent du poids ont un BMI initial significativement plus eleve que ceux qui n’en perdent pas (p = 0,02). 19 patients ont a la fois perdu du poids (moyenne 5,7 kg) et baisse leur HbA1c. L’anciennete du diabete, l’HbA1c et le BMI initial ne sont pas des elements predictifs de la baisse d’HbA1c. Conclusion Dans les limites d’une petite etude de cohorte, il a ete constate qu’associe a l’insuline, l’exenatide, lorsqu’il est tolere, permet de diminuer l’HbA1c chez 62% des patients DT2 et d’obtenir une reduction ponderale dans 46% des cas. Chez les patients repondeurs, la baisse d’HbA1c est d’environ 1%. Mais baisse d’HbA1C et perte de poids ne sont associees que chez 1 patient sur 3.

Introduction Les recommandations sur la prise en charge des plaies du pied diabetique semblent mal appliquees Le but de l’etude est de l’objectiver. Patients et methodes Inclusion prospective successive de toutes les nouvelles plaies adressees dans une consultation specialisee de podo-diabetologie du 20/04/05 au 12/06/08. Recueil des donnees par interrogatoire, analyse des examens apportes par le patient et examen clinique du patient. La neuropathie etait diagnostiquee par un test au monofilament. L’arteriopathie etait diagnostiquee sur l’abolition d’au moins un pouls distal. Resultats Deux cent vingt et une plaies ont ete vues chez 173 patients : 73 % d’hommes, d’âge moyen de 62 ans, duree moyenne du diabete de 20 ans, 79 % de diabete de type 2, 68 % insulino-traites. Les taux de complications etaient : 59 % de retinopathie, 39 % de nephropathie (8 % hemodialyses, 2 % greffes renal) 93 % de neuropathie, 46 % d’arteriopathie. Soixante-deux pour cent avaient deja un antecedent de plaie. La duree moyenne de la plaie avant la 1re consultation dans le centre etait de 158 jours (1-2702). Seize pour cent des plaies ont ete vues, dans notre centre moins de 10 jours apres leur date de debut. Soixante-trois pour cent avaient deja consulte un medecin, 23 jours en moyenne apres le debut de la plaie. Quatre-vingt huit pour cent avaient un pansement et etaient suivis par une infirmiere. 29 % avaient eu un prelevement bacteriologique et 37 % une antibiotherapie prescrite. Vingt-cinq pour cent avaient eu une prescription de mise en decharge, qui etait appliquee par le patient 20 % du temps en moyenne. Le delai moyen de mise en decharge etait de 114 jours. Conclusion Les recommandations stipulant que toute plaie du pied diabetique 1) devrait etre adressee pour avis dans les 48 h 00 a un centre de reference, 2) devrait etre immediatement mise en decharge, ne sont pas appliquees.

Objectif Evaluer le benefice glycemique et ponderal par rapport aux effets indesirables, en particulier neuropsychiques, de la prescription d’Acomplia chez des diabetiques de type2 en surpoids suivis dans un service de diabetologie. Patients et methodes Suivi prospectif des prescriptions d’Acomplia chez 65 diabetiques de type2 ; 63 % hommes ; age moyen 58 ans (41-77) ; BMI 34,9 ± 4,6 ; anciennete diabete 15,4 ans (1-43) ; HbA1c initiale a 8,2 ± 1,7 %. 1,5 % sous regime seul ; 9,2 % sous monotherapie ; 21,5 % sous bitherapie ; 13,8 % sous tritherapie ; 43,1 % sous traitement oral + insuline ; 10,8 % sous insuline seule. 29,2 % des patients avaient des complications microvasculaires ; 20 % des complications macrovasculaires ; 55,4 % hypertendus. Resultats L’Acomplia a ete arrete dans un delai moyen de 86 ± 77 jours : 36,9 % pour effets indesirables ; 9,2 % pour inefficacite ; 1 ; 5 % pour autre cause. Des effets secondaires ont ete rapporte chez 64,6 % des patients : 20 % troubles digestifs ; 29,2 % symptomes depressifs (dont 2 cas avec idees suicidaires) ; 18,5 % anxiete ; 21,5 % autres symptomes neuropsychiques (dont 1 cas de trouble du comportement ayant entraine un AVP) ; 6,1 % vertiges. 46,2 % des patients ont tire benefice de l’Acomplia sur une duree moyenne de 263 ± 121 jours. L’HbA1c a diminue de 8,43 ± 1,65 % a 7,41 ± 1,28 % ( p Conclusion La prescription d’Acomplia dans des indications elargies chez des diabetiques de type 2 a ete benefique chez moins de la moitie des patients. Pres de 1 patient sur 2 ont du interrompre le traitement en raison d’effets indesirables, essentiellement neuropsychiques, avec une menace vitale dans 3 cas, malgre le respect des contre indications. Ce constat semble justifier la recommandation recente de l’EMEA de suspension temporaire d’AMM de l’Acomplia.

This paper presents results of examining respiration and circulation parameters of healthy volunteers pedalling a bicycle ergometer at different degrees of inspiratory-expiratory resistance. In this situation the performance-limiting factor is an increased load on respiratory muscles. An additional signal of performance problems is respiratory discomfort. The paper gives a formula for predicting maximally allowable workloads in response to increased respiration resistance.
