Traditional bearing sensory diagnostic include touching and hearing rely on personal experience, and for more complex system are unable to meet the needs of equipment fault diagnosis. The research on bearing fault diagnosis is developing significantly. Bearings are used in rotating machinery and most machinery failures are caused by bearing failures. The fault diagnosis of bearings is an important research area. The core of bearing fault diagnosis is the pattern recognition of fault features. The key of pattern recognition is to develop a reasonable classifier. Intelligent pattern recognition has been developed such as principal components, support vector machine, neural network. In this study, a bearing fault diagnosis based on exploring pattern recognition is proposed. The key to pattern recognition is to design a significant classifier. A number of features from bearing vibration of normal and fault bearing are extracted and processed using principal components of correlation matrix. Plot of principal components shows the visualization of normal and fault bearing and the classifier is chosen subjectively. The principal components exploration will be confirmed using least squares support vector machine. The parameter of support vector machine estimated using heuristic optimization particle swarm optimization. The proposed method can be applied in the detection of faults of bearing. Tapis cloth is traditional clothing worn by women from the Lampungnese, an ethnic group indigenous to Lampung province, Indonesia. Tapis is in the form of a woven fabric made from cotton yarn and silk, and the pattern is embroidered using gold or silver thread. In addition, Tapis cloth has many motifs and characteristics like nature, flora, and fauna, making it has many variations. İn this research, pattern recognition is used to classify those patterns using the point minutia method. This method will extract the Tapis Lampung image to get the pattern by detecting the ridge point tip to obtain the point distribution value on the motif. It can also identify the type of Tapis Lampung using the euclidean distance and look for its similarity factor method. The test carried out in this study used the R2016a version of MATLAB with 140 training data and 30 test data for each motif. The result obtained in this study is relatively good, reaching 73% accuracy. This study can be helpful for many people, especially in the Lampung area, in introducing the Tapis Lampung cloth pattern. A Thermohydraulic Study on the AP1000-EU Fuel Assembly Using Computational Fluid Dynamics Code. A thermohydraulic study has been carried out on the AP1000-EU reactor core fuel assembly, using computational fluid dynamics code. To improve the ability of human resources in understanding the design of nuclear power plants, a complete reactor core fuel design characteristic is needed. A thermohydraulic study of reactor core fuel was carried out to determine the thermohydraulic parameter value data, which is one of the important factors needed in the safety analysis of reactor operations. The purpose of this research is to study the thermohydraulic parameters of the complete reactor core fuel assembly including the temperature distribution of the fuel meat, cladding, and cooling fluid for the fuel assembly as a constituent of the AP1000-EU reactor core, using the CFD code. The design of API1000-EU has thermal power of 3400 MWt, the number of fuel element is 157 pieces, with an operating pressure of 15.1 MPa. As a first step, the core model being studied is in the form of the fuel assembly at the position of G-9 with a power factor varying from 1.124 to 1.396. Each of a fuel assembly consists of 264 fuel rods with a diameter of 0.95 cm and a fuel rod length of 426.72 cm. For considering the grid requirement for CFD Code, the geometry model to be studied is created by equivalence of the actual model. The results of the study, which include the value of the reactor core temperature distribution parameter, will be compared with the results of other studies using the Cobra EN code. Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis (RAS) is an oral inflammation with recurrent round or oval-shaped ulcers. Nutritional deficiency appears to be one of the predisposing factors that suspected to be related to nutritional intake which can be described by dietary habits. The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between dietary habits and Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis in dental students of Universitas Sumatera Utara. The design of this study was an analytical survey with a case-control approach. The subject of this study was 60 active academic dental students of Universitas Sumatera Utara that selected based on the inclusion criteria such as female dental students who have no systemic diseases or currently taking any medication, not menstruating, not pregnant, not using orthodontic appliances or dentures, agreeing to take part in this study, uncooperative subject during this study were excluded. Data related to RAS was collected based on clinical examination meanwhile data related to dietary habits was collected based on questionnaires. The data of dietary habits in RAS and non-RAS was compared by a Chi-square test. This study shows there was a correlation between the amount of food and RAS (p = 0.006, OR = 0.069) but there was no correlation between the type of food and RAS (p = 0.779), although there was a correlation between dietary habits and RAS (p = 0.026, OR = 0.095). The conclusion of this study is there was a correlation between dietary habits and Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis in dental students of Universitas Sumatera Utara. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Smoking habits can cause unaesthetic condition in oral mucosa such as pigmentation among smokers which is called smoker's melanosis. The severity of a smoker's melanosis can be assessed by Hedin Melanin Index. The purpose of this study was to determine relationship between smoking habits which include the number of cigarettes smoked per day, duration of smoking, type of cigarette, and smoking habits (Brinkman Index) with severity of the melanin pigmentation score in sufferers of smoker's melanosis in online motorcycle taxi drivers in the North Medan area. This research is an observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects were 100 people. Subjects were taken using the stratified random sampling method according to the inclusion criteria of active smokers aged 26-45 years and had smoked ≥1 year, suffered from smoker's melanosis, did not suffer from systemic diseases, or took drugs for a long time such as Addison's disease, Peutz-Jegherz, and drugs such as antimalarial drugs and minocycline which can cause pigmentation of the gingiva, and agreed to participate in the study. Smoking habit data were obtained through direct interviews and clinical examinations to measure melanin pigmentation scores using the Hedin Medin Index. The data obtained were analyzed by the Chi-Square test. This study indicate that there is a relationship between smoking duration and the severity of the melanin pigmentation score (p = 0.0001, OR = 3.630)) and there is a relationship between smoking habits (Brinkman Index) and severity of the melanin pigmentation score (p = 0.015, OR = 0.622). The conclusion of this study, there is a significant relationship between smoking duration and smoking habits (Brinkman Index) with severity of the melanin pigmentation score in sufferers of smoker's melanosis.
