Videos are considered as most trustworthy means of communication in the present digital era. The advancement in multimedia technology has made video content sharing and manipulation very easy. Hence, the video authenticity is a challenging task for the research community. Video forensics refer to uncovering the forgery traces. The detection of spatiotemporal object‐removal forgery in surveillance videos is crucial for judicial forensics, as the presence of objects in the video has significant information as legal evidence. The author proposes a passive max–median averaging motion residual algorithm for revealing the forgery traces, successfully giving visible object‐removal traces followed by a deep learning approach, YOLO‐V8, for forged region localization. YOLO‐V8 is the latest deep learning model, which has a wide scope for real‐time application. The proposed method utilizes YOLO‐V8 for object‐removal forgery in surveillance videos. The network is trained on the SYSU‐OBJFORG dataset for object‐removal forged region localization in videos. The fine‐tuned YOLO‐V8 successfully classifies and localizes the object‐removal tampered region with an F1‐score of 0.99 and a precision of 0.99. The observed high confidence score of the bounding box around the forged region makes the model reliable. This fine‐tuned YOLO‐V8 would be a better choice in real‐time applications as it solves the complex object‐based forgery detection in videos. Web 2.0 technologies have a great deal to offer while providing information services and can be used as a platform to increase the discoverability of digital collections, engage library patrons in library activities, and create online services that promote collaboration, cooperation, communication, and information sharing among public libraries at various levels in a country. The present study focuses on ICT-enabled information services provided by connemara public library and district central public libraries in Tamil Nadu, India. The study also tries to identify the extent to which Web 2.0 tools are used in public libraries to provide information services. A survey method using a questionnaire was adopted to collect data from connemara public library and selected district central public libraries of Tamil Nadu. Findings of the study show that connemara public library and district central libraries in Tamil Nadu are providing ICT-enabled information services but only a minority of these libraries are using Web 2.0 tools for the same. Analysis found that a minority of district central libraries in Tamil Nadu are using WhatsApp (28.57 %), Facebook (23.81 %), YouTube (14.29 %), Blog (9.52 %), Twitter (9.52 %) and Mobile Apps (4.76 %) to provide information services. Analysis shows that district central public libraries are using Web 2.0 to provide only very basic information to the users. Librarians are not exploiting the full potential of Web 2.0 tools in providing information services. In this paper, we propose a novel method to recognize the digital modulation communication signals with alpha-stable noise over fading channels. Specifically, the probability density function of alpha-stable noise is determined by kernel density estimation, and the fading channel parameters are measured by utilizing the improved expectation conditional maximization algorithm. Then we leverage the compound hypothesis test model, which serves as a classifier, to implement modulation recognition. Simulation results show that the proposed method is robust to alpha-stable noise over fading channels. Moreover, the correct average recognition rates of the digital modulation communication signals under alpha-stable noise is more than 90%, when the generalized signal-to-noise ratio is 10dB. Frequently referred to as 'sexting' or 'amateur pornography', digital sexual images and videos form an increasingly common part of adult sexual relationships. However, the vocabulary available to speak about these practices is limited, with 'sexting' often associated with young people in negative terms. This study is based on 23 interviews with adults in Australia who are 25 years and older. It explores the language adults employ to discuss and comprehend the creation and sharing of sexualised images and videos. Findings show that negative or positive connotations associated with the terms used to discuss sexual images and videos influenced the ways participants drew on, or rejected, terms to align digital practices with their sexual subjectivity. Reticence to engage in active communication about digital sexual practices, and participant's distancing of their own practices from the terms commonly understood to refer to such practices, made it difficult to engage in conversations about consent or desire in the context of digitally mediated sex. Findings provide insight into the ways that -digital sexual subjectivities are discursively framed and extend these implications for sexual health promotion with respect to how to frame messages of digital sexual safety in a sex-positive and open way. Events are important instruments that generate emotions and enable multisensory experiences. Hence, companies use as a part of their strategic communications efforts. Following the technological developments live communication formats adopted digital and hybrid formats. This trend was accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Within the theoretical framework of the Technology Adoption Model, the present research investigates the usefulness of digital and hybrid live communication in business-to-business events. Eight experts were interviewed and highlighted both the opportunities and challenges that such types of live-communication are associated with. Hence, flexibility of content creation, new strategic approaches, the inclusion of new target groups, and a differentiated approach to communication towards certain target groups were mentioned as advantages of digital or hybrid live-communication. However, there are also disadvantages of digital live-communication which detract from the positive effects such as the limited interaction among participants, less emotional involvement of participants and lack of attention. The importance of family-school relations and their positive effects on children's developments is well documented. They can be shaped predominantly by one-way (schools informing parents) or two-way (a partnership approach) communication. When fostering these relationships, schools and families engage on individual and collective levels, using a variety of tools such as text messages, emails, phone calls or personal contacts. A growing body of literature suggests that digital technologies are changing the way families and schools communicate and digital media contacts are often considered to be more immediate and convenient. In this contribution, we present findings from a Swiss project focusing on school websites. Using data from interviews with 33 families and personnel in eight schools (principals, teachers and other staff), we explore how family-school communication is embedded in specific contexts, including rural contexts, and takes place through diverse channels. While parents make use of and appreciate diverse communication channels, schools' choices of communication channels are often related to specific functions. The evolution of Digital Predistortion (DPD) for Power Amplifier (PA) linearization in wireless communications has seen a natural progression towards increasingly complex DPD models. This complexity directly correlates with improved accuracy in modeling PAs, thereby enhancing the linearization performance of DPD systems. As the demand for bandwidth and PA operation frequencies continues to rise, there is a growing trend towards achieving higher accuracy at the expense of increased complexity. This trend poses challenges for DPD design, necessitating the introduction of more complex algorithms to ensure effective PA linearization. This phenomenon is especially apparent in Volterra Series DPD algorithms, which are widely used for modelling nonlinear systems like PAs. This paper showcases the steps of reducing the modelling operations complexity of the Simplified Volterra (SV) method. The treated SV method presented in this paper is compared against the original SV method through simulation. The DPD model operations complexity is evaluated using the number of required multiplication operations. The DPD PA linearization performance is evaluated with respective model’s Normalized Mean Square Error (NMSE). A 57% reduction on the number of multiplication operations is observed in the treated SV against the original SV. Measured NMSE is similar for both models, indicating the treated SV model achieves this reduction in complexity without sacrificing linearization performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Privacy and security in the current modern, digital communication and data transfer-oriented world has become imperative. Most commonly used encryption methods often involve exposing sensitive information, which might be an open gate for potential vulnerabilities. This paper aims to explore the topic of applying ZKPs in cybersecurity in a comprehensive manner. For this purpose, Proposed work will provide an exhaustive description of the basic concepts of Zero-Knowledge Proofs, which refer to both the interactive and non-interactive forms of the product. Additionally, the study will focus on presenting various cryptographic protocols and algorithms utilizing Zero-Knowledge Proofs, such as zk-SNARKs and zk-STARKs. In addition to theoretical studies, Proposed work analyze the practical implementation details of Zero-Knowledge Proofs implementations, cryptographic libraries, programming languages, and frameworks commonly used to create ZKP-based applications. Zero-knowledge proofs enable groundbreaking approaches to address cybersecurity problems with an emphasis on user privacy and data confidentiality. On average, cryptographic operations experienced delays of approximately 10 milliseconds which was not intrusive for real-time systems. The system's throughout remained at a steady average of 100 Mbps all times, so it performed well at processing data despite cryptographic overhead. This study aims to illustrate the multidimensional perspective of digital internal communication defined and applied in the context of strategic communication, and how digital capability development and training are embedded. We use a conceptual approach to integrate literature from the fields of digital transformation, digital internal communication, and digital human resource capability development. The findings reveal that an organisational system's technical (channels and platforms, and policy) and social (leadership, culture, and collaboration) digital elements are interrelated across all communication levels, contributing to digital capability development. Furthermore, digital trust is required for and enforced by effective learning in the digital space. This study proposes a holistic digital internal communication strategy focusing on developing digital human resource capabilities as a strategic training initiative in organisational settings to promote strategic communication. Hence, a strategic map for digital capability development and training offers senior leadership a practical and adaptable tool. In order to ensure the sustainable development of the Internet of Things (IoT), researchers have been exploring and making technological innovations in the fields of smart grid as well as green communication and green computing. In the new communication and computing paradigm, information security and privacy protection of communication is a key research area that is receiving more and more attention. In order to further enhance the covertness of communication methods and privacy protection of communication contents, this paper proposes a user communication scheme based on the digital steganography method, which creates an image to hide the existence of the information itself only according to the secret information to be delivered, and can effectively avoid the image distortion caused by the embedding method. In this scheme, according to the proposed algorithm of interconversion between information and pixels, the secret information is encoded into pixel format and mapped in a blank image, which is considered as a broken image to be repaired. The broken image is repaired by training the network to get the steganographic image. The receiver selects specific steganographic pixels from the received image and further converts them into secret messages. In addition, the proposed communication framework supports different generative network structures that can further improve the steganography resistance. The communication scheme is trained and tested on several datasets and qualitatively and quantitatively evaluated on steganographic images. The final experimental results show that the framework achieves satisfactory performance in terms of both steganography capacity and information recovery rate compared to other embedding-free methods. This document is a response to a comment made by Robertas Damaševičius regarding an article on info-autopoiesis and artificial general intelligence (AGI). Economic, social, and health crises have shaken and polarized contemporary politics. An element fueling this polarization is the dissemination of divisive topics on social media platforms. While these polarizing social media tendencies are increasingly studied, research exploring digital political communication in South America remains scarce. This study aims to analyze the electoral campaigns in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and Peru to define the features that trigger polarized emotional reactions on Facebook. The corpus comprises a sample of 2,930 posts published by candidates and political parties during the first round of the presidential elections held in these countries between 2021 and 2022. We hypothesize that users are more likely to react in a polarized way to content focused on divisive issues. In addition, we examine how these patterns differ across countries and the influence of the level of political polarization. Finally, the role played by party-level characteristics in the emotional reactions of users is also analyzed. By means of quantitative content analysis, these questions are addressed using multilevel negative binomial regressions to identify what predicts Love and Angry reactions. The bandwagon effect seems to work positively on users' moods since the most popular political actors receive significantly more Love reactions, irrespective of the post's subject. In more polarized countries, there is a tendency to react more negatively to certain divisive issues, generating greater visibility of these issues on social networks and thus promoting more polarization. Recent technological advances have allowed businesses to adopt emojis when interacting with consumers. To gain in‐depth theoretical and managerial insight into this trend, five pre‐registered studies (1 field observation and four controlled experiments) indicate that emojis in digital communication work as heuristic cues that might have a differential effect depending on elaboration likelihood and outcome valence. Drawing on the Heuristic Information Processing and elaboration likelihood model, this research reveals that emojis can systematically influence consumers' elaboration. Findings indicate that low elaboration in positive encounters results in a positive heuristic cue boost (emojis improve customer evaluation). In turn, high elaboration on negative service outcomes makes the heuristic content relevant, such that positive (vs. negative) emojis will bring attention to and reinforce the interaction's positive (vs. negative) aspects. Digital agriculture has been developing rapidly over the past decade. However, studies have shown that the need for more ability to use these tools and the shortage of knowledge contribute to current farmer unease about digital technology. In response, this study investigated the influence of communication channels—mass media, social media, and interpersonal meetings—on farmers' adoption, decision-making, and benefits obtained using technologies. The research uses data from 461 farmers in Brazil and 340 farmers in the United States, leaders in soybean production worldwide. The results show differences and similarities between these countries. LinkedIn has the highest positive association in Brazil between the communication channels and the digital agriculture technologies analyzed. In the United States, YouTube has the highest positive correlation. The overall influence of social media among Brazilian farmers is higher than among American farmers. The perceived benefits of using digital tools are more strongly associated with mass media communication in the United States than in Brazil. Regarding farm management decision-making, the study showed a higher relevance of interpersonal meetings in Brazil than in the United States. Findings can aid farmers, managers, academics and government decision makers to use communication channels more effectively in evaluating and adopting digital technologies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Whilst a plethora of research has taken into account the exertion of website homepages as a conduit for effectively conveying information, it is acknowledged that the matter of ideological values and how these ideals are manifested through such digital communication media has been somewhat overlooked. Thus, the research at hand attempts to go over how the university advertises its ideological construal on its homepages by way of the adoption of multiple modes, involving both linguistic and aesthetic dimensions, and video. In this investigation, multimodal approaches encapsulated by Kress (2010) and Pauwels (2012) were employed to address the ideological values through visual components on the university homepages. Drawing from the attainable data, the university's homepage is crafted utilizing two fundamental categories of semiotic methods such as a combination of visual and textual elements, as well as video to reinforce the aesthetic, nevertheless, it neglects to incorporate any semiotic resource that places particular emphasis on visual components. The strategic utilization of diverse multiple modalities of communication on the homepage has effectively promoted an array of constructive ideological ideals that hold significant worth for stakeholders and the public, considering the pivotal role that universities play in shaping societal beliefs and perspectives. Objective: This paper explores Australian military families' use of social media and digital communication to maintain and strengthen parent–child relationships during military deployments. Background: The physical and emotional well‐being of children and partners of military serving members is affected by service. Maintaining positive family relationships between military members and their children during periods of absence (including deployment) is important for parental relationships as well as the well‐being of the child. Method: A qualitative meta‐analysis is used to collate data from two previous studies of Australian Defence Force (ADF) families with children, in order to generate a new data set from which novel insights were drawn. Results: Families show a preference for social media and digital communication methods, and digital technologies affordances and practicalities are well suited for Defence families with children. There are a range of benefits; digital technologies are used to strengthen relationships between children and their deployed parent. The study highlights a range of challenges for deployed parents as well as points to the work required from the at‐home parent in facilitating these connections. Conclusion: Maintaining positive family relationships between military members and their children during times of absences is important for both relationships. This paper explores how ADF families use social and digital communication during military absences and outlines the role these technologies play as a medium for strengthening familial relationship. Implications. The findings of this paper highlight the importance of digital and social communication technologies for supporting families during absences. This has implications for the ADF, who might look to reduce members' access to such communication for security concerns. Reduced family well‐being may also have impacts on retention, a key issue for military organizations. Advancements in digital communication technologies, such as social media, have transformed how individuals can interact inside and outside their organizations and participate in professional life. This qualitative study focuses on inclusion in the increasingly digitalized and interactive workplace. It adopts a managerial perspective and explores whether organizational members are perceived to have equal opportunities to participate and contribute in this novel environment. The research data consists of interviews with 24 managers in seven knowledge‐based organizations. The results show that both individual and organizational factors may become sources of inequality related to digital participation. The findings also emphasize that organizations have an important role in facilitating workers' digital inclusion. The paper contributes to the human resource management and digital inclusion literature and provides important managerial insights for organizations operating in the knowledge sector in particular. Wireless sensor networks (WSN) have emerged in all digital and smart applications for providing the finest communication range. However, the main problem that often occurs in the WSN is the wide range of energy consumption. So, the present study has focused on developing a novel chimp-based back propagation recurrent neural model for optimizing energy usage. Here, the application that has been considered in this study is multi-input multi-output (MIMO) vehicle communication. Moreover, the planned procedure is executed in the NS2 environment and the performance has been validated in the dual phases that are before applying the chimp fitness and after applying the chimp optimal solution. Finally, the gained metrics have been compared with other conventional models and have earned the finest packet delivery rate and less energy consumption. This finest performance has proved the need for the designed model in the MIMO vehicle application for managing the energy resources by proper cluster-head selection and shortest route finding. Wireless body area networks (WBANs), featuring wearable and implantable devices for collecting physiological data are increasingly critical in healthcare for enabling continuous remote monitoring, diagnostic improvements, and treatment optimization. Secure communication within WBANs is essential to protect sensitive health data from unauthorized access and manipulation. This paper introduces a novel secure digital (SD)- human body communication (HBC) transceiver (TR) system, tailored for WBAN applications, that prioritizes security and offers significant enhancements in size, power efficiency, speed, and data transmission efficiency over current solutions. Leveraging a combination of frequencyselective (FS) digital transmission with walsh codes (WCs) or quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), and incorporating one-round encryption and decryption modules, the system complies with the IEEE 802.15.6 standard, ensuring broad compatibility. Specifically, the QAM-based SD-HBC TR system exhibits a 4% reduction in chip area, a 7.6% increase in operating frequency, a 3.4% decrease in power consumption, a 27.5% reduction in latency, and improvements of 33% in throughput and 35.5% in efficiency. Importantly, it achieves a bit error rate (BER) of up to 10-8, demonstrating high reliability across communication methods. This research significantly advances secure communication in WBANs, offering a promising approach for enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and security of healthcare monitoring technologies. This paper analyzes the popularity of a number of song titles and lines written by Mogol and Battisti that have entered common usage, not only in newspapers but also in everyday digital communication. The research specifically examines how as amateur historians, the participant's embodied knowledge plays a central role in how they engage with discourse about queer historical figures, methods of queer historiography and community accountability. Design/methodology/approach: The research deploys a queer constructivist framework to qualitatively gather and analyzes the semi-structured interviews of 31 North American content creators who curate digital project related to queer history and culture. The interviews were gathered between August 2022 and August 2023. Findings: The research highlights how the subjectivity of queer embodiment aids, rather than hinders, participants' ability to collaborate with LGBTQIA+ communities while also addressing more significant ethical questions around intersectionality and inclusive historiographic work. Research limitations/implications: The content creators' own positionality and commitments to community accountability and queer inclusivity fostered richer stories and historical documentation, while also helping make visible queer identity as affirming and valuable within queer culture. Additionally, practical implications include highlighting the value of ICT-based content within the distribution of educational and informational resources related to queer history. Originality/value: This research offers an underexamined intersection of historiography and queer embodiment. While extensive scholarship on institutional and community-based historiography work exist the content creators interviewed within this study exist within the space of both, often using a combination of embodied knowledge and traditional curatorial work to translate between such spaces, inviting, in turn, new ways of thinking about queer archival knowledge. Purpose: This study evaluates how publicly available archival documents shaped online discussions about allegations that thousands of children were kidnapped during the 1950s in Israel, known as the Yemenite children's affair. It examines if access to historical records leads to more informed and rational public discourse, especially on social media. Design/methodology/approach: Using content analysis, this study examines Facebook posts from media outlets, politicians, NGOs and public groups between 2016 and 2021 to understand how the Israeli State Archives' release of over 300,000 documents affected support of the kidnapping. Findings: Despite extensive archival information debunking the kidnapping theory, public opinion and discourse largely continued to support it. This suggests a complex interaction between information availability, preexisting beliefs, echo chambers and group allegiances, suggesting that access to factual data alone may not effectively challenge established beliefs in online public settings. Research limitations/implications: Since data were collected only from Facebook, our conclusions cannot be generalized to other platforms. The study relies only on publicly accessible data and does not establish causality between exposure to information and shifts in opinion. Our findings show that disclosing archival information does not significantly benefit public political discourse on contentious topics but also point to the advantages of mediating information by politicians, NGOs and journalists. The effectiveness of infrastructure resilience relies on the seamless extraction of information, timely acquisition of critical knowledge, and heightened situational awareness. The ongoing utilization of digital citizen communication through social media with response organizations during disasters remains a valuable avenue for disseminating information, ensuring the effective utilization of public resources in emergency response to crisis events. Public agencies can use this information to examine community sentiments and discussions to assess, determine, and prioritize critical areas in need of assistance. However, there are limitations on harnessing precise geolocation information from social media, as well as a lack of mitigating bias of machine learning models used during such events. These limitations can restrict emergency management personnel's ability to locate and promptly delineate actionable insights. Here, we propose a semisupervised machine learning model that utilizes approaches such as transfer learning, topic modeling (i.e., Latent Dirichlet Allocation), and natural language processing to augment data from historical and current social media posts (i.e., Twitter) with community-driven application alerts (i.e., Waze) to achieve further evidence on the location and context of emergency events. The model is designed to also mitigate machine learning bias using the Wells–Du Bois protocol. A framework was developed for this process and is illustrated through a case study on Hurricane Ian and three previous hurricanes that occurred in Florida. This fusion provides increased situational awareness and may enhance the speed of emergency response. This study establishes a foundation for equitable, real-time crisis event detection, expanding organizations' response capacity in allocating resources and reducing harmful effects of disaster, particularly within public infrastructure systems. This study analyzes and proposes the concept of "spontaneous audiovisual autoethnography" on TikTok, revealing a diversity of cultural narratives. Autoethnographers like @jairdesdeelcampo0 and @indigenac4mp0 defy conventions, authentically connecting with a global audience. The research is based on content analysis, web observation, and film analysis theory. It highlights the communicative evolution from simple selfnarratives to complex and aesthetic representations.
