Chemotherapy is a primary treatment for the metastatic lung cancer patients. To select the most effective combination of drugs, we need an efficient way of assessing tumor response. Here, we showed that differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis of blood serum proteins could reveal the patient response to the treatment. If chemotherapy is effective, serum proteins DSC curve of non-small cellular lung cancer (NSCLC) case is similar to the those of the healthy individuals. If treatment fails, notable changes occur in the DSC profile of NSCLC patients blood serum. Our preliminary work illustrates how thermal analysis of changes in the heat capacity of blood serum proteins can provide an insight into patient response to chemotherapy - the essential information for any successive lung cancer treatment.

This study aimed to explore oncological doctor-patients experiences concerning the neoplastic disease. The study involved 20 Polish doctors with cancer. Respondents answered open questions related to cancer management and opinions about themselves as oncological patients. The results of the study indicate that doctor-patients deny their susceptibility to illness, which leads to prophylaxis ignorance. Many doctors diagnosed themselves with the disease, but they needed a clear verbal confirmation of the diagnosis by another physician. Respondents well assessed professional skills of doctor-colleagues. However, communication competencies of their doctors were assessed critically. Medical narratives may become an incentive to deepen the discourse on the quality of the relationship between a doctor and a doctor-oncological patient. Mutations in the Kirsten rat sarcoma virus (KRAS) gene are the most common mutations in NSCLC, and they occur in 25-40% of patients with lung adenocarcinoma. Sotorasib, a selective KRAS inhibitor, is an anticancer drug used in NSCLC patients with a G12C mutation in the KRAS gene. In previously treated patients, this therapy was safer and more effective than docetaxel chemotherapy. Heterogeneity refers to differences between tumor cells within a single tumor as well as in primary and metastatic lesions. It may influence the response to targeted therapies and the development of acquired resistance to these therapies. It is assumed that sotorasib efficacy is lower in patients with known tumor molecular heterogeneity, which may be common in patients exposed to tobacco smoke. This case report presents a 63-year-old woman with advanced NSCLC and a confirmed G12C mutation in the KRAS gene detected with the real-time PCR technique. A later next-generation sequencing (NGS) examination did not show the presence of this mutation. However, the NGS study was performed on material from a different metastatic lesion. The negative NGS result from this material was confirmed by the real-time PCR technique. The patient had a short-term benefit from first-line chemotherapy and second-line nivolumab immunotherapy (disease stabilization). Due to progression (progression of measurable lesions and new metastases to the CNS), the patient received brain radiotherapy and then sotorasib in the third line of treatment. However, the effectiveness of KRAS inhibition was limited. Regression of the lesion with a detected mutation in the KRAS gene and progression of lesions without this mutation were observed. Sotorasib therapy was terminated. The woman died two years after diagnosis, not benefiting from subsequent lines of therapy. NSCLC heterogeneity (presence of mutations in only some clones of cancer cells) may be responsible for primary and acquired resistance to molecularly targeted therapies, including KRAS inhibitors. This paper presents a novel predictive model for advertising campaigns in IPTV networks that uses the advanced geolocation-based display of advertising messages. Thanks to advanced data analysis and modern geolocation technologies, the proposed model enables the more precise planning and optimisation of advertising campaigns. Advertisers can thus better understand the preferences and behaviours of audiences in different geographical regions. This allows the creation of more tailored and engaging content of programmes and advertisements, leading to higher levels of viewer engagement in the content presented and increasing the effectiveness of campaigns. For the purposes of the project, data from the IPTV advertising campaign covering from 50,000 to 500,000 displays between 23rd January 2024 and 20th March 2024 were used. The TERYT database and the list of counties were used to increase the precision of target group targeting. Viewer rating and interaction data were collected and analysed to assess the effectiveness of the campaign. The methodology included monitoring the number of channel switches, advertising message views, complete views, the average display time of the advertising message and unique reach in different time periods. The results of the test of the advertising campaign based on switching channels using a remote control show that increasing the number of ad plays clearly improves the effectiveness of reaching the audience. In the beginning, with fewer displays, the chances of an ad being noticed by viewers are moderate. However, as the number of displays increases, these chances increase exponentially, reaching nearly 45% at 500,000 ad plays.The analysis of these results is very important for the effective planning of advertising campaigns. Thanks to these data, advertisers can determine more accurately the number of displays that needs to be planned in order to achieve their marketing goals. The significant increase in the likelihood of reaching the audience with a bigger number of displays indicates that investing in additional views can be cost-effective and lead to the better use of the advertising budget. The project confirmed that precise targeting and optimisation of the number of displays in IPTV advertising campaigns significantly increase the effectiveness of the advertisements. The high rate of complete views and the wide reach of the advertisements attest to the effectiveness of the strategy used. The test results show that smart campaign planning in IPTV can lead to better audience engagement and the more efficient use of the advertising budget. These findings suggest that IPTV has great potential as a modern advertising medium, offering advertisers the tools to effectively reach specific target groups and increase their engagement.
