Abstract

Foam materials are widely used in packaging and buildings for thermal insulation, sound absorption, shock absorption, and other functions. They are dominated by petroleum‐based plastics, most of which, however, are not biodegradable nor fire‐proofing, leading to severe plastic pollution and safety concerns. Here, a fire‐proofing, thermally insulating, recyclable 3D graphite‐cellulose nanofiber (G‐CNF) foam fabricated from resource‐abundant graphite and cellulose is reported. A freeze‐drying‐free and scalable ionic crosslinking method is developed to fabricate Cu2+ ionic crosslinked G‐CNF (Cu‐G‐CNF) foam with a low energy consumption and cost. Moreover, the direct foam formation strategy enables local foam manufacturing to fulfil the local demand. The ionic crosslinked G‐CNF foam demonstrates excellent water stability (the foam can maintain mechanical robustness even in wet state and recover after being dried in air without deformation), fire resistance (41.7 kW m−2 vs 214.3 kW m−2 in the peak value of heat release rate) and a low thermal conductivity (0.05 W/(mK)), without compromising the recyclability, degradability, and mechanical performance of the composite foam. The demonstrated 3D G‐CNF foam can potentially replace the commercial plastic‐based foam materials, representing a sustainable solution against the "white pollution". [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

With the rapid development of cloud computing, virtualization technology represented by container technology is gradually replacing the original virtual machine technology. Introducing the container cloud and its main research direction. Starting from task scheduling, combs and summarizes the current research status of the container cloud task scheduling algorithm, and introduces the current four mainstream container scheduling platforms. According to the independence of scheduling task, it is divided into independent task scheduling and non independent workflow task scheduling. According to the different task scheduling objectives, it is divided into single objective optimization task scheduling algorithm and multi-objective task scheduling algorithm. After a detailed analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of several representative algorithms, the existing improved methods are summarized.

Abstract

A bilayer composite consisting of Al-50 wt% Si alloy and Al-70 vol% SiCp for electronic packaging was prepared by hot pressing. The results show that no obvious defects are observed, and strong interlayer bonding is obtained. With the Al–SiCp layer and the Al–Si layer as the load-bearing surface, the bending strength of the bilayer composite reaches 459 MPa and 241 MPa, respectively. The sample with the Al–SiCp layer as the load-bearing surface is subjected to the lowest tensile stress, while the sample with the Al–Si layer as the load-bearing surface is subjected to the highest tensile stress. The thermal conductivity and coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of the bilayer samples with different thickness ratios are between the values of the Al–SiCp composite and the Al–Si alloy. As the thickness percentage of the Al–SiCp layer increases, the thermal conductivity of the bilayer composite increases, while the CTE decreases gradually. Simple equations can be used to estimate the thermal conductivity and CTE of the bilayer composite. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Southern yellow pine (Pinus taeda) wood char powder was thermally treated at 1,000°C in the presence of a 25-nm-size Fe nanoparticle catalyst. The thermally treated carbon materials were analyzed by Raman spectroscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. Well-aligned graphitic carbon structures with 15 to 17 layers on average were observed. These graphitic carbon structures were similar to those of graphite with an average interplanar distance of 0.34 nm. The Raman spectra results showed that the full-width half-maximum values of Raman G and D bands, and the peak intensity ratio, [I.sub.D]/[I.sub.G], of thermally treated pine char after an acid purification treatment were 69 [cm.sup.-1], 126 [cm.sup.-1], and 0.16, respectively., Man has historically used carbon materials for fuels, adsorbents, pigments, and iron smelting in daily life activities.
