It argues that these sanctions have worsened the economic conditions in these countries, leading to a surge in migration. The article also highlights the historical role of U.S. intervention and neglect in Latin America as a contributing factor to the ongoing migration issues. It suggests several potential solutions, including ending economic warfare, providing more federal aid to local governments, expediting work permits for migrants, and increasing foreign aid to Latin America. The researcher used a Qualitative approach, specifically phenomenological design, and used a semi-structured interview to gather in-depth data about the worker's perspective and experiences. Also used thematic analysis to organize and identify the theme that will come out. The study establishes the two main reasons why blue-collar workers stay in their jobs and these are to sustain the family needs and attain job satisfaction. The workers also added that they are motivated and determined to work hard to be the provider for the family and are satisfied with their jobs. Achieving job satisfaction by the workers has a reason behind it, it is having a good relationship with workmates and equal salary. In addition, the research showed that some blue-collar workers want to manage their businesses to generate income for their retirement, investing whatever they have saved from their work. For future researchers, reconducting this research on a larger population and wider area will supply a broader perspective of the workers, this will help the succeeding researchers to provide new information at a more modern and faster pace. Early leader and leadership development experiences that develop generativity and therefore social responsibility will become increasingly imperative in preparing a young workforce to shoulder the burden of a substantial leadership transfer in the wake of Baby Boomer retirements. While generativity is considered a midlife construct, recent and emergent research is documenting an association between developmental relationships, such as mentoring, coaching, and advising, and generativity in young adults. The current article highlights the recent research and addresses its implications for leadership practitioners, scholars, and educators. The article concludes with a discourse on future research directions that considers the nuances of particular methodological approaches that will be needed to understand how developmental relationships encourage generativity over time. Ideological expectations from the right and the left saturate higher education. With public controversies detailing historic sexual abuse, research misconduct and plagiarism, how is the PhD positioned in a university sector losing its purpose, meaning and momentum? The doctorate is not only indicative, illustrative or representative of wider societal concerns, but also requires nuanced recognition of its distinctiveness from undergraduate degrees. This article activates a thought experiment to consider what is happening in international higher education, and how this history has been shaped and creased through the (post) pandemic environment. Uberfication is a provocative trope that enables the development of a generational modelling of our universities, spanning the baby boomers, Generation X, and millennials. The article explores the self-image of modernist architects during the Soviet period, viewing it as an intrinsic self-referential system within the professional community. It aims to illuminate the self-image of the earliest post-war generation of professional architects, who graduated in architecture in Lithuania between 1950 and 1969 (referred to as "the eldest"), and to analyze how subsequent professional generations either perpetuated or rejected this self-image. The study draws upon the findings of sociological research, which involved semi-structured in-depth interviews with 33 prominent Lithuanian architects. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative thematic analysis methods. From a contemporary standpoint, members of the earliest generation of professional Soviet architects selectively construct an idealized self-image of the Soviet modernist architect. They depict this archetype as a multifaceted artist and an ambitious individual creator, characterized by a sense of moral obligation and dedication to humanity, while also being valued by the state and society. This generation tends to regard the Soviet era as a period of "professional normalcy," shaped by modernist ideology, the scope of professional opportunities within the Soviet totalitarian regime, and positive public reception. However, the challenges of adapting to the post-Soviet transformation have led them to perceive this change negatively, viewing it as the demise of the "professional normalcy" they once knew. Consequently, they experience a sense of disillusionment with the present and harbour nostalgia for the past. While researchers regard the narratives of Soviet modernist architects as self-constructed myths, the responses from subsequent generations of architects vary and depend heavily on their experiences practicing during the Soviet era. The younger professional cohort, graduating between 1990 and 2009 and lacking direct exposure to Soviet-era practices, unequivocally rejects the idealized perception of architects portrayed by the eldest generation. Conversely, the intermediate elder generation, graduating between 1970 and 1989 and having navigated both Soviet and independent Lithuanian contexts as architecture professionals, tends to reassess the self-image of the Soviet architect. Models of finance rationality expect individuals to actively prepare for retirement by consistently investing and building a diversified asset portfolio, with any behavior deviating from these expectations being identified as irresponsible. This framework of (ir)rationality and (ir)responsibility ignores the role of constraints in shaping financial behavior. Extending economic geographic insights on everyday financial practices as complex processes of meaning-making, we reveal how varied approaches to retirement savings are shaped by the experience of constraints inherent in a capitalist welfare state. Using the accounts of forty-two interviewed women and people with a minority ethnic background in the UK, we show how the interplay between everyday rationalities and structural constraints construct variegated financial subjectivities and practices that reflect the context that individuals face. Our findings contribute to the theorization of variegated financial subjects and disrupt the application of corrective policy measures, such as financial education, which put more pressure on individuals rather than tackling the inequalities inherent in the capitalist welfare state broadly and in the pension system specifically. While mountain family farmers rely on cultural, financial and material resources passed on from previous generations, new entrants typically lack such intergenerational amenities. Applying the concept of ‘generativity’ to agriculture prove valuable in examining start-up motives, obstacles, opportunities and impacts regarding generational renewal via newcomers without a family farming background. Following a multilevel approach, we interviewed new entrants, long-established family farmers and members of agricultural organisations in three Alpine regions of Austria and Italy. We illustrate that family farmers primarily care for their farm’s continued existence, while new entrants seek autonomy from the agricultural industry, thus transmitting the relevance of agriculture beyond their offspring. At first sight, land access is a major hurdle for new entrants, as agricultural land is reserved for family farmers. By taking over abandoned farms, new entrants escape constraints imposed by previous farming generations, thus facilitating the introduction of novel operating concepts and the regeneration of traditional practices. Consequently, newcomer farms are transforming from previously exclusive production sites into open spaces of exchange that include non-agricultural communities, reconnecting land, production and consumption. I investigated the relationships among health consciousness, self-esteem, and successful aging in the context of South Korean baby boomers' engagement in leisure sports. The sample consisted of 530 baby boomers who actively participated in leisure sports in South Korea. Data collection was carried out through an online survey. Structural equation modeling revealed that health consciousness had a positive effect on both self-esteem and successful aging. Moreover, self-esteem had a positive effect on successful aging. My findings provide valuable insights to guide the formation of impactful strategies aimed at enriching the journey of successful aging within this specific demographic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Analyzing a total of 15,718 responses from visitors to the NASCAR Hall of Fame Exhibition, this study assessed the generational effects on exhibition dimensions, expenditure items and evaluation indicators. Analysis revealed that three exhibition dimensions (exhibits, concessions, and facility) and four expenditure items (tickets, dining, retail/shopping, and entertainment) differed significantly across generations including Silents, Boomers, Gen-X, Gen-Y, and Gen-Z. Moreover, all evaluation indicators differed significantly by generation. This study tests the hypothesis that public servants have higher levels of financial preparation for retirement compared to other occupations. Also, it identifies whether the model is invariant. The results indicate that public servants have better future expectations, financial planning, and savings behavior than other occupations. The level of financial preparation for retirement is low in all occupations. Research suggests the current generation of learners (called Zoomers or Gen-Z) takes a values-driven approach to their careers. Increasingly, this generation seeks out workplaces that center issues of sustainability, social responsibility, diversity, equity and inclusion. The preferences of Gen-Z suggest that building business programs that focus on "the right work" are both relevant and necessary to meet the expectations of this generation. It is unsurprising, then, that leading business education associations like AACSB have placed emphasis on building education programs that have a positive societal impact. In this article, we outline our programmatic approach to help learners engage in the "right work" and to address calls for building business programs that engage in more responsible, ethical, and sustainable models of management education. In sharing our approach, we 1) emphasize the value of using a programmatic design to facilitate curricular change, and 2) demonstrate how transformative learning theory can provide a practical way of reenvisioning business programs that address the concerns of Zoomers. The onset of the digital age has sparked a significant age-related digital divide, detrimentally affecting older adults. The age-related digital disparities and the gray digital divide between the Baby Boomers and the Silent Generation in senior living facilities remains an exigent issue. This study explored the lived experiences of older adults as they confront the challenges posed by age-related digital disparities inherent in the gray digital divide in senior living facilities. In-depth, semi-structured interviews and observations were conducted with 28 older adults living in six senior living facilities in three urban locations. Moustakas's transcendental phenomenology was employed, and the Modified Stevick-Colaizzi-Keen method was used to analyze the data. This study identified six main themes: barriers to connectivity, digital literacy, generational-rooted perceptions, navigating technology with functional limitations, social isolation, and end-of-life planning. The gray digital divide disproportionately affects older adults in senior living facilities. The study emphasizes the need for tailored interventions and targeted support to address the specific needs of each cohort and reduce age-related disparities. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the COVID-19 pandemic changed the habits and workings of the business world and the industrial world with a digital technology approach, which has the potential to threaten various professions and employment opportunities. Graduates add to unemployment rates. Prospective workers need digital literacy competencies to compete in the current world of work. This study seeks to measure the extent and importance of digital literacy competence for the Gen-Z workforce of higher education graduates facing the world of work. This study uses an explanatory method with a sure approach. Data collection was done using a Likert scale1-5 questionnaire, distributed to 133 respondents selected by the researchers, and targeted the workforce of college graduates aged 24-29 (Gen-Z) in the South West Java region with a simple random sampling technique. Then, the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and structural equations, such as structural equation modeling. Digital literacy competence, including knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values, has a positive effect on the work readiness of Generation Z in rural South West Java. Purpose: To assess the frequency of food intake as a source of dietary fibre and saturated fatty acid intake in terms of preventive health care for women and men of the baby boomer (BB), X, Y, and Z generations. Design/methodology/approach: The research instrument was a survey questionnaire administered through the computer-assisted web interviewing (CAWI) method using Google Forms. The survey was conducted from February to March 2023. The survey included 204 respondents between the ages of 19 and 60, residents of Gdynia. Purposive group selection was used. The results of the survey are presented as the percentage distribution (percentage) of each evaluation (% of indications). A chi-square test with Yates correction was used to determine the effect of gender and age on lifestyle, dietary style and frequency of dietary fibre and saturated fatty acid intake in the study groups. Findings: Analysis of the consumption of selected food groups by respondents showed that gender and age influenced the lifestyle and type of selected food products consumed by adults, and therefore the attainment of individual nutrient requirements, and the risk of chronic non26 communicable diseases. It is satisfactory that the level of fat intake among the surveyed group of respondents was at an appropriately low level. On the other hand, the inadequate and very low intake of dietary fibre among women and men remains a concern. Research limitations/implications: The research has certain limitations. The results obtained are not representative and cannot be generalised to the population of women and men of the baby boomer (BB), X, Y and Z generations in Poland. Practical implications: The present study is part of health risk management and health promotion in the Polish population. It is important that adults (in Poland) pay attention to the impact of the products they consume on their health, since the lack of a balanced diet and an excessive supply of simple carbohydrates and saturated fatty acids carries a risk of reducing their quality of life. It is essential to conduct research monitoring the dietary behaviour of various population groups to evaluate the need for preventive actions to ensure health and better safeguard the mental and physical condition of current and future generations. Social implications: The research is part of health risk management and health promotion in the Polish population. This study examines work ethic differences between Baby Boomers (57-75 years old) and Generation Z (Gen Z; 25 years old and under). The Multidimensional Work Ethic Profile (MWEP) is used to operationalize seven dimensions of work ethic. Findings indicate that the level of work ethic varies dramatically by generation. Specifically, the work ethic of Baby Boomer respondents varies significantly from the work ethic for Gen Z respondents across nearly every MWEP dimension. This may have important implications for corporate leaders, who are typically Baby Boomers, as they often lead new Gen Z employees, but also for reducing conflict that may arise between older and younger employees by promoting understanding. This study explored the generation gap in American consumers' green perceptions and purchase intentions across four generations (Gen Z, Y, X, and Baby Boomers) from the perspectives of consumer socialization and social intelligence. Analyzing a nationally representative sample of adults in the United States (N = 19,450), the survey results revealed that the American consumer's green norms and beliefs varied by generation. A series of multiple regression analyses showed that each generation had similar but idiosyncratic beliefs in purchasing products from green companies.
