We consider integrals of the form $$I\left( {x,h} \right) = \frac{1}{{{{\left( {2\pi h} \right)}^{k/2}}}}\int_{{\mathbb{R}^k}} {f\left( {\frac{{S\left( {x,\theta } \right)}}{h},x,\theta } \right)} d\theta $$ , where h is a small positive parameter and S(x, θ) and f(τ, x, θ) are smooth functions of variables τ ∈ ℝ, x ∈ ℝ n , and θ ∈ ℝ k ; moreover, S(x, θ) is real-valued and f(τ, x, θ) rapidly decays as |τ| →∞. We suggest an approach to the computation of the asymptotics of such integrals as h → 0 with the use of the abstract stationary phase method.

Orthopedic dental treatment can be accompanied by pain of different nature, violation of sensitivity and appearance of various paresthesia (burning, itching, tingling, numbness, etc.). Dentures are an irritant for tissues of the oral cavity, namely, its excessive pressure in certain areas of the prosthetic bed. It is well known that a large number of patients using removable dentures can not get used to them because of pain. The goal of our research is to improve the method of preventing pain syndrome with the use of removable dentures, whereby by making changes to the special preparation for prosthetics and the means of preventing inflammatory conditions, conditions are created to prevent the pain syndrome and increase the sensitivity threshold of the mucous membrane of the prosthetic field. According to the results of the study, it was found that the use of auricular microhole therapy, carried out by cycles of 7 days, with an interval of 5 days, leads to a decrease in pain sensitivity of the mucous membrane of the alveolar processes and palate to the norm parameters, which in turn significantly reduces and facilitates the period of adaptation to complete removable prostheses.,

We study the influence of the Q-n-P-treatment including the interrupted quenching followed by holding at 250–350°C on the microstructure, hardness, and abrasion resistance of 75KhG2C steel. It is shown that the Q-n-P-treatment leads to the formation of a structure with elevated (27.5%) content of residual austenite. The procedure treatment with quenching interrupted at 100°C followed by the holding at 250°C for 10 min increases the abrasive wear resistance of steel by 8% as compared to the fully quenched state with a much lower hardness (57 and 63 HRC, respectively).

The influence of the technological parameters of selective laser melting (SLM) on the structure–phase state of a ZhS6K-VI nickel superalloy synthesized is studied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. A nickel solid solution, an ordered γ' phase, and carbide inclusions form in the alloy at a scanning speed of 600–1200 mm/s, a laser beam power of 170–200 W, and various melting strategies. The following texture is shown to form in the alloy during SLM: the laser scanning plane predominantly coincides with the crystallographic {100} plane. The lower the scanning speed or the laser power, the stronger the texture. The alloy of found to be susceptible to cracking, which decreases with increasing scanning speed.

Background Anaemia is a frequent extraintestinal manifestation of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and its severity leads to a deterioration in patient’s condition. Timely diagnosis and pathogenetic therapy are important for the effective treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the current cell indexes obtained from automatic blood analyser to identify the pathogenetic features of anaemia in children with IBD. Methods A total of 1400 blood samples were analysed in 420 children with IBD (177—Crohn’s disease (CD) and 243—ulcerative colitis (UC)) followed up in our centre in 2018–2019. A blood test was performed by flow hemocytometry on an automatic blood analyser Sysmex XN 1000. The evaluated parameters were: MCV, MCH, MCHC, RET, IFR and RET-He. Anaemia was established with haemoglobin level Results Anaemia was detected in 31.7% of patients with UC and in 26.8% of patients with CD. Decreasing of Hb level was observed in both diseases with an increasing in the clinical activity. The average Hb levels in CD in remission, moderate and severe activity were 132.15 ± 17.07, 120.51 ± 18.28 and 105.06 ± 12.46 g/l, respectively; in children with UC with remission, minimal, moderate and severe activity 124.86 ± 16.01; 114.53 ± 15.56; 109.71 ± 20.34 and 96.09 ± 16.52 g/l, respectively. In patients with CD, anaemia was predominantly hypochromic: the average values of MCV, MCH and RET-He indicates a leading role the bioavailable iron deficiency and corresponded to those in CD remission: 82.8 ± 7.0 fl, 27.35 ± 3.02 pg and 31.28 ± 3.82 pg; in low/moderate CD activity: 78.93 ± 7.49 fl, 25.29 ± 3.51 pg, 28.62 ± 5.1 pg; in high CD activity: 74.7 ± 6.74 fl, 22.99 ± 2.69 pg, 27.14 ± 4.99 pg, respectively. RET count in CD was moderate and equal 58–68 cell/ml. With an increase in the UC process activity, hypochromia was not enhanced: MCV in the range 79–82 fl, MCH—25–26 pg. RET-He in remission of UC were 30.22 ± 3.95 pg; in minimal activity—28.93 ± 4.96 pg; in moderate activity—27.99 ± 4.62 pg and only with high activity of UC there was a decreasement to 25.21 ± 4.99 pg. In UC the level of RET and IFR increases with increasing severity of the disease: 57.75 ± 17.48‰, 63.31 ± 31.12‰, 77.29 ± 41.81‰, 111.29 ± 78,9‰ and IFR 11.62 ± 5.235%, 15.69 ± 8.065%, 18.97 ± 8.385%, 26.97 ± 9.785%, respectively. This suggests that anaemia in UC is mainly associated with blood loss. Conclusion Anaemia in different forms of IBD in children has different pathogenetic mechanisms. Evaluation of current parameters of red blood cells by modern automatic blood count analyser is cheap and informative for the differential diagnosis of anaemic syndrome in children with IBD.

The wave equation on an infinite homogeneous tree is studied. For the Laplace operator, the Kirchhoff conditions are taken as the matching conditions at the vertices. A solution of the Cauchy problem is obtained and the behavior of the wave energy as time tends to infinity is described. It is shown that part of the energy does not go to infinity, but remains on the edges of the trees. The part of the energy remaining on the edges depends on the branching number.

5-Fluorouracil remains a foundational component of chemotherapy for solid tumour malignancies. While considered a generally safe and effective chemotherapeutic, 5-fluorouracil has demonstrated severe adverse event rates of up to 30%. Understanding the pharmacokinetics of 5-fluorouracil can improve the precision medicine approaches to this therapy. A single enzyme, dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD), mediates 80% of 5-fluorouracil elimination, through hepatic metabolism. Importantly, it has been known for over 30-years that adverse events during 5-fluorouracil therapy are linked to high systemic exposure, and to those patients who exhibit DPD deficiency. To date, pre-treatment screening for DPD deficiency in patients with planned 5-fluorouracil-based therapy is not a standard of care. Here we provide a focused review of 5-fluorouracil metabolism, and the efforts to improve predictive dosing through screening for DPD deficiency. We also outline the history of key discoveries relating to DPD deficiency and include relevant information on the potential benefit of therapeutic drug monitoring of 5-fluorouracil. Finally, we present a brief case report that highlights a limitation of pharmacogenetics, where we carried out therapeutic drug monitoring of 5-fluorouracil in an orthotopic liver transplant recipient. This case supports the development of robust multimodality precision medicine services, capable of accommodating complex clinical dilemmas.

InTe. Solid-state dewetting (SSD) method as a promising way to obtain nanostructures was applied for the formation of In/InTe nanosystem. The phase-elemental composition and structural perfection of the initial InTe surface were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, low energy electron diffraction (LEED) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies revealed the InTe tetragonal crystal structure of the TlSe type (I4/mcm space group, lattice parameters a = 8.4414(6) Å, c = 7.1333(5) Å). Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) studies of the initial InTe (001) surface and the same one used as an ordered template after thermal indium deposition showed that the shape and arrangement of indiuminduced nanostructures are powered by square surface lattice symmetry as derived from a tetragonal InTe bulk one. We observed the formation of nanosized 0D structures as a result of the SSD process due to surface heating above the indium melting point. The scanning tunnelling spectroscopy (STS) revealed correlation between indium coverage kinetics and an increase in the amount of density of states (DOS) at the surface within the band gap of InTe.

120. Russian Pratchett (Based on Tranlations of the Novel 'Mosntrous Regiment')

- Abstract
The article examines two Russian translations of Terry Pratchettʼs novel “Monstrous Regiment”. Unlike works that deal with the adequacy of translation, this study proposes the approach to translation from the point of view of reception: the transformations occurring during the translation of the novel from English into Russian and the differences between Russian Pratchett and the original. The comparative analysis focuses on cases of transcoding of intertextual inclusions, which are an integral part of all the works of the British writer. This comparative analysis of the translations shows that everything irrelevant for the host culture leaves the translation: the mocking tone that permeates the entire text of the original and the very concentration of the comic element, which is an expression of the English sense of humour; precedent texts unknown for the host culture. These “losses” lead in translations to the disappearance of the additional dimensions of Pratchettʼs novel, which, like any postmodern text, is simultaneously focused on all layers – from the intellectual to the general reader. At the same time, the translation retains an important aspect for Pratchettʼs prose, associated with parodying traditional characters and hackneyed plots of fantasy literature. It is the aspect, coupled with the non-trivial development of the plot and the constant play with readers’ expectations, that has brought the writer popularity among Russian fans of the fantasy genre.

The thermal stability of the cellular structure of an austenitic Fe–17% Cr–12% Ni–2% Mo–1% Mn–0.7% Si–0.02% C alloy produced by selective laser melting in the temperature range 20–1200°C is investigated. Metallographic analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy show that structural changes in the alloy begin at 600-700°C and are fully completed at ~1150°C. Differential scanning calorimetry of the alloy with a cellular structure reveals three exothermic processes occurring upon annealing within the temperature ranges 450–650, 800–1000, and 1050–1200°C.

To understand the emergence and evolutionary selection of the efficient mechanisms of innate immunity it is necessary to accumulate knowledge about the structural and functional properties of antimicrobial peptides in different animal species. The cationic antimicrobial peptides, α-defensins, were isolated from leukocytic extracts of the lower narrow-nosed monkey, hamadryas baboon Papio hamadryas, using ultrafiltration, preparative electrophoresis and reverse-phase highperformance liquid chromatography. Analysis of the antimicrobial properties of α-defensins showed that they display a wide spectrum of antimicrobial activity, comparable with that of human α-defensin HNP1, and exert bactericidal and fungicidal effects at micromolar concentrations. A study of the influence of different medium conditions on antimicrobial activity of α-defensins revealed that a higher ionic strength or the presence of blood serum leads to a marked decrease in antimicrobial activity of α-defensins, while pH has no appreciable effect on it. We found that hamadryas baboon α-defensins are able to increase the permeability of the outer and inner membranes of E. coli, suggests that the bacterial membrane is one of the major targets of the antimicrobial effects of these peptides. The revealed differences in antimicrobial activity of α-defensins may result from their structural heterogeneity, which reflects different pathways of evolution of α-defensins in primates and underlies the selectivity of their antimicrobial effect.

Results of a series of inverted laboratory experiments on the normal impact of spherical bodies onto targets made of wet sand (with humidity of 10%) and water-saturated sand (with humidity of 18–20%) placed into cylindrical metallic containers are reported. Experimental data are compared with results calculated by a modified Godunov difference method. Changes in the forces of resistance to penetration at different stages of the impact interaction process are analyzed, and the influence of humidity and granulometric composition of sand on the maximum values of forces at different impact velocities is studied. The maximum force of resistance for sand with 20% humidity is found to be smaller by a factor of 1.5–2 than that for dry sand.

Proteomic analysis of the nuclear fraction is of great importance, since many cellular processes are initiated in the nucleus. Refinement and choice of experimental procedures for cell lysate fractionation and parameters for mass spectrometric detection and data processing continue to be of current interest. The mass spectrometry analysis presented here was tested on human cell lines derived from different tissues: HL-60 (peripheral blood); HepG2 (liver); EA.hy926 (vascular endothelium). High reproducibility of results and their consistency with biological properties of the objects under study were demonstrated. The use of cells of different types made it possible to reveal a set of 16 proteins whose LFQ-values allow for the discrimination between proteome fractions regardless of cell origin. Also, a set of 16 proteins is suggested which are associated with individual characteristics of cell lines regardless of cell fraction. These protein panels can serve as parameters to verify the proteomic analysis done was of sufficient quality, in particular as indicators of successful fractionation of cell or tissue lysate.Issledovanie proteoma iadernoĭ fraktsii iavliaetsia vazhnoĭ zadacheĭ, poskol'ku bol'shaia chast' protsessov, proiskhodiashchikh v kletke, initsiiruetsia v iadre. Acute promyelocytic leukemia, a form of acute myeloid leukemia, is characterized by cell differentiation arrest at the promyelocyte stage. Current therapeutic options include administration of all trans-retinoic acid (ATRA), but this treatment produces many side effects. ATRA is known to induce differentiation of leukemic cells into granulocytes, but the mechanism of this process is poorly studied. We performed comparative proteomic profiling of HL-60 promyelocytic cells at different stages of ATRA-induced differentiation to identify differentially expressed proteins by high-resolution mass spectrometry and relative quantitative analysis without isotope labels. A total of 1162 proteins identified by at least two unique peptides were analyzed, among them 46 and 172 differentially expressed proteins were identified in the nuclear and cytosol fractions, respectively. These differentially expressed proteins can represent candidate targets for combination therapy of acute promyelocytic leukemia.

A set of ferroelectric and related titanate ceramics and nanocomposites were prepared and their dielectric and electromagnetic properties were studied in a broad frequency range, including microwave, millimeter-wave and THz frequencies. Dielectric and conductivity spectra of the opal-matrix nanocomposites were typical for conductor–dielectric composites and could be described by Cole–Cole relaxations and Drude conductivity. The highest values of microwave dielectric permittivity, losses and conductivity were observed in the composite with $\rm Pr_{2}Ti_{2}O_{7}$ nanoparticles. Absorption properties of ceramic and some composite titanates were measured and estimated in the microwave range. Some of the studied compositions were found to be interesting for development of microwave absorbing or shielding materials.

This contribution consists of a correspondence between a postdoctoral English literature scholar and poet, Tara Bergin, and a Russian and English literature scholar, Marina Tsvetkova, who initially set out to write an essay comparing two translations of Tsvetaeva's poem of May 1934, called ‘Homesickness’ by Elaine Feinstein and ‘Longing for the Motherland’ by David McDuff. Their letters focus on this poem but also venture into Tsvetaeva's biography and some of her other writings. Eventually it seemed to them appropriate to submit for publication the correspondence itself, following which the material was given a detailed reading by a third Tsvetaeva translator, Christopher Whyte. His comments are also published here, with a postscript from the two correspondents.

In this paper, we study the wave equation on the simplest hybrid spaces of constant curvature, namely, on Euclidean space or a sphere with a glued ray. We obtain explicit formulas for solutions of the Cauchy problem, which are the simplest nontrivial analogs of Kirchhoff or Herglotz-Petrovsky formulas; especially simple formulas are obtained in the case of three-dimensional Euclidean space with a glued ray. The solutions depend on the boundary conditions at the point of gluing, and these conditions determine the choice of the domain of the Laplace operator; the conditions ensuring the full reflection or full passage of waves are described separately.

Objective To synthesize a novel chemotype based on the naphthoquinone scaffold with retained cytotoxicity and provisionally low intracellular oxidation potential. Background Derivatives of naphthoquinone, although potent anticancer agents, can exert heart toxicity due to generation of free oxygen species. Methods In this study, we modified the scaffold by replacing one carbonyl group with the oxime moiety. Interestingly, only one carbonyl group in 1-R-1H-naphtho[2,3-d][1,2,3]triazole-4,9-dione 2-oxides reacted with hydroxylamine. The spatial structure was determined by X-ray analysis. New compounds were tested for the ability to form stable complexes with double stranded DNA by spectroscopy and molecular docking and to induce death of tumor cell lines and non-malignant counterparts. Results The resulting 1-R-1H-naphtho[2,3-d][1,2,3]triazole-4,9-dione 4-oxime 2-oxides were further acylated to produce a series of 1-R-1H-naphtho[2,3-d][1,2,3]triazole-4,9-dione 4-(O-acyloxime) 2-oxides. Newly synthesized compounds demonstrated a higher (in submicromolar or low micromolar range) cytotoxic potency against human colon and breast adenocarcinoma cell lines than to non-malignant skin fibroblasts. Spectroscopic measurements revealed that, unlike other classes of quinone derivatives, new naphthotriazoledione oxides did not form stable complexes with double stranded DNA regardless of their fitting to the DNA minor groove (as determined by molecular modeling). Conclusion Thus, our chemical modifications yielded a new chemotype with good cytotoxic properties and yet-to-be-identified intracellular target(s).

The article provides a comparative analysis of creative work of two Russian poets – Marina Tsvetaeva and Karolina Pavlova, with a special emphasis on the affinity between their conceptions of a poet’s destiny and creativity, characterizing their poetry. The analysis reveals numerous explicit and implicit echoes of Pavlova’s writings in Tsvetaeva’s poems and essays: treatment of poetry as a serious “masculine” business, craft; representation of a poet as the chosen one, as a creature who does not belong to “this world”; view of the earthly world as vulgar and banal, as a prison for a poetic soul. Both poets see poetic gift as a special kind of sensitivity, ability to hear voices, to divine, and consequently, as a tribulation – since it makes a poet an outcast. Both Tsvetaeva and Pavlova use motifs of dream as a special creative state; night as a special time for creativity; flight and having wings as a special characteristic of a poet’s soul.

Methods for synthesizing and identifying water-soluble fullerenes (fullerenols) were developed. When used as additives to corrosive media, fullerenes exhibit weak catalytic activity towards electrochemical corrosion of aluminum and steel. On the contrary, after the treatment of aluminum and steel with aqueous solution of fullerenols, the rate of electrochemical corrosion (in 0.25 N solution of sulfuric acid) increases by a factor of almost ten. At the same time, the specific surface electric conductance of aluminum and steel decreases by ten orders of magnitude. Thus, the metallic surface acquires insulating properties.

The paper reviews publications concerned the role of nonesterifi ed fatty acids (NEFA) in pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases. NEFAs are four and more carbons chain length carbonic acids and they are presented in free form (nonesterifi ed) in human body. Plasma NEFAs are produced by the adipose tissue triglyceride lipolysis, another source are lipoproteins such as chylomicrons, very low density lipoproteins and intermediate density lipoproteins. Elevated NEFA concentrations in plasma are the risk factor of cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes mellitus and the independent risk factor of hypertension and sudden death. NEFA plasma concentration is elevated in atherosclerosis, acute myocardial infarction, diabetes mellitus, obesity, hypertension, and often in metabolic syndrome. A probable cause of NEFAs accumulation in plasma may be overeating and low physical activity, which result in increase of adipose tissue mass, lipolysis intensifi cation and elevation of NEFAs concentration in plasma. The role of elevated plasma NEFA concentration in a number of conditions (abdominal obesity, atherogenic dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes mellitus, endothelial dysfunction, vascular infl ammation, atherosclerosis, hypertension, ischemic heart disease, rhythm disturbances, sudden death) and possible ways of their correction are discussed.

Two cyclic theta-defensin peptides were isolated from leukocytes of the hamadryas baboon, Papio hamadryas, and purified to homogeneity by gel electrophoresis and reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. Both peptides had high in vitro activity against Escherichia coli, Listeria monocytogenes, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Candida albicans. Here, we report their de novo sequencing by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization tandem time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF/TOF-MS). This was accomplished by combining conventional enzymatic digestion with N-terminal derivatization by 2-sulfobenzoic acid cyclic anhydride (SACA) or 4-sulfophenylisothiocyanate (SPITC) to facilitate the interpretation of fragment ion spectra. In addition to the two cyclic theta-defensins (PhTDs) we also sequenced a novel Papio hamadryas alpha-defensin, PhD-4, which showed high sequence homology to rhesus alpha-defensin RMAD-1 and human alpha-defensin HNP-1.

The article is devoted to the problem of toxic influence of prostheses made of acrylic polymers on the tissues of the prosthetic bed and the search for ways to improve the physical and chemical parameters of polymeric base materials. For this purpose a new method of polymerization of acrylates in the ultrasonic field is proposed, which will enable to increase the efficiency of orthopedic treatment of patients with partial and complete loss of teeth. According to the results of laboratory studies, the bases of removable plate prostheses, which are manufactured using ultrasound technology, have 1.5 times higher strength, a 50% lower residual monomer level and a 40% lower water absorption rate. Investigation of the temperature regime of the mucous membrane is one of the indicators of violation of trophic tissues, the severity of pathological changes, the process of adaptation to prosthetics. To study the effectiveness of the proposed technology for the manufacture of bases of removable plate prosthesis, the parameters of the temperature of the mucous membrane of the prosthetic bed in the patients groups during the adaptation to the prostheses and at different periods of their use were studied. For example, after one month of use of prosthesis, the temperature indices in patients with ultrasound prostheses remained unchanged. Then, as in patients who used dentures manufactured using traditional technology, temperature indices indicated an inflammatory reaction to prosthetics and a violation of the processes of thermoregulation. This was confirmed by microbiological research: in such conditions the high temperature increased the number of microorganisms both on the mucous membrane and on the basis of the prosthesis. The analysis of the obtained results shows that under the basis of prosthetics, which are manufactured using ultrasound technology, a lower reaction of inflammation, no violation of thermoregulation, a better process of self-cleaning of the mucous membrane. The obtained results of thermometric studies make it possible to conclude that complete removable plate prostheses made by the polymerization technology of the base material in the ultrasound field, due to the lower thickness of the basis, do not violate the processes of trophic tissues, since they produce less pressure on the substrate tissues; do not violate the thermoregulation. All this contributes to a better adaptation to prosthetics, reduces the negative effect of bases on the tissues of the prosthetic bed. The analysis of the results of clinical and laboratory studies in the observation groups has established the best indicators of the functional quality of removable plate prostheses, made by ultrasonic polymerization.
