Women's football had in the last World Cups, in 2019 and 2023, in addition to the recent editions of the Brazilian Women's Championship, symbolic milestones of advances in relation to the past of invisibility, consolidating the theme as an object of study that has been gaining strength in the academic and media debate in Brazil. There are still large gaps for the desired gender equality, but we can suggest that the key to the discussion involving the sport has gained a new chapter since then. If visibility has been gradually conquered, questions about how the market will deal with this new consumer culture have been gaining strength, especially regarding the media, audience and professionalization triad. The purpose of this article is to bring a critical reflection on the paths, advances and maintenance that are leading the sport to break audience records and begin to overcome the past of silencing to aim for new and greater flights.
