This study explores the mechanism through which system quality influences e-learning system acceptance. Precisely, this study aims to examine how perceived usefulness and intention to use serially mediate the impact of system quality on actual use. The data were collected from three public universities in Jordan. Structural equation modeling was employed to examine 336 questionnaires. The findings reveal that system quality significantly affects perceived usefulness and intention to use, perceived usefulness significantly affects intention to use and actual use, where the intention to use significantly affects actual use of the e-learning system as well. Furthermore, the study also confirms that system quality does not affect the e-learning system actual use directly but indirectly and serially through the two acceptance variables, perceived usefulness and intention to use. Thus, this study improves the understanding of student's acceptance and behavior towards the e-learning system in Jordan public universities and the effect of system quality attributes on this relationship. Creative thinking and scientific knowledge are essential components of twenty-first-century learning. The aim is to assess the effectiveness of an inquiry-based interdisciplinary course of study, complemented by training that stimulates the development of creative and research skills. The main sample, which provided the most complete data set, consisted of 175 students. Participants filled out a questionnaire created by the authors and presented in Appendix A to get the participants' assessment of the characteristics of the training course. The analysis was carried out using the Atlas.ti software. The study of Pearson's correlation between the variables of the questionnaire, as well as the variables of the questionnaire and the estimates of the 'creative and search process' according to the results of the described analysis was carried out. A significant correlation was revealed between such factors as 'satisfaction with the training course' and 'usefulness of the training course' (r = 0.85), 'usefulness of the training course' and 'research process' (r = 0.72), 'satisfaction with the training course' and 'creative process' (r = 0.62). The research results can be implemented in colleges and universities to create specialised training courses or training elements in order to increase creativity and improve the scientific thinking of students with usage of electronic educational environment. E-learning was mandated for all the higher education institutions (HEI) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to encounter the pandemic and practice social distancing in year 2020. This led education institutions to shift from face-to-face traditional classroom settings to online education channels for delivering education to their students despite being less familiar with the real-time remote learning. The current study attempts to measure the success of e-learning systems adopted by the HEIs in UAE. An e-learning system success measuring the framework based on DeLone and McLean (J Manage Inf Syst 19(4):9–30, 2003) was developed including the measures of quality, system use, perceptual benefits and future outcomes from students' perspective. A survey was conducted from more than 1200 students studying at different higher education institutions of the UAE region. In Japanese, onomatopoeia are an important element in expressing feelings and experiences. They are difficult for students of Japanese to acquire, especially the nuances. Herein, we propose an e-learning system to improve the efficiency of teaching the nuances – both explicit and tacit – to non-native speakers of Japanese in three steps. We synthesized a new learning strategy available to students leaning Japanese onomatopoeia using narrative strategies to mimic the learning methods used by native speakers. This was achieved by firstly teaching the formal rules representing the explicit nuances. Secondly, the students created new onomatopoeic words by utilizing those formal rules. Finally, feedback was provided by evaluating the onomatopoeias created through the support system of narrative strategies to provide implicit teaching. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method and the learning system, we conducted an experiment involving two groups of subjects. While Group A got feedback about the appropriateness of their onomatopoeic constructions from the native speakers’ narrative interpretations, Group B just reviewed the database material like in a traditional classroom. Results indicate our e-learning system has a significant effect on the acquisition of a working understanding of onomatopoeia.

The pandemic of COVID-19 quickly led to the closure of universities and colleges around the world, hoping that the guidance of social distancing from public health authorities will help flatten the curve of infection and minimize the overall fatalities from the epidemic. The e-learning framework, however, is the best solution to enable students to learn about the quality of education. The aim of this research was to examine variables reflecting the actual use of the e-learning system during the COVID-19 pandemic among university students. The perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness are positively correlated with facilitating condition, perceived control, and self-efficacy, which in turn influences students’ attitude toward use, which in turn affects the actual use of the e-learning system during the COVID-19 pandemic. To exam the model on the basis of user data from the e-learning system used collected through an online survey, structural equation modeling (SEM) and path analysis were used. The findings showed that the mindset of students to use had positive effects on the learning of students during the COVID-19 pandemic through the actual use of the e-learning system. In the context of e-learning programs in developing countries, previous studies have seldom explored an integrated model. In addition, this article aims to include a literature review of recently published research on the actual use of the e-learning system during the pandemic of COVID-19.

The article analyzes special features and principles of constructing the user interface and substantiates the authors methodical approach to the development of the intellectual user interface of educational publications in the e-learning system. Besides, the “user interface” concept is analyzed and types of user interfaces are considered. For representatives of each representative system, the article gives a list of typical ways of perceiving environmental information that should be considered in developing the user interface of educational publications. The main features of procedurally-oriented and object-oriented types of user interface are considered and their main parameters are presented. The implementation of an innovative component in the development interface of educational publications in the e-learning system is proposed to be implemented by adding the properties of adaptability to the user interface. Provisions are determined that define the user interface concept, on the basis of which the principles of constructing adaptive interfaces are formed. The basic principles of visual design of mental maps of electronic educational publications for the e-learning system are offered. The main features provided by the mental map are presented in the form of a visual diagram. The didactic interface of the developed e-learning edition is considered and the scheme of the user and publication interaction is given. This paper aims to explore and investigate the potential factors influencing students' behavioral intentions to use the e-learning system. This paper proposes an extended technology acceptance model (TAM) that has been tested and examined through the use of both innovation diffusion theory (IDT) and integrating TAM. This paper was conducted on 1286 students utilizing systems of e-learning in Malaysia. The findings were obtained via a quantitative research method. The findings illustrate that six perceptions of innovation characteristics, in particular, have impacts on students' e-learning system behavioral intention. The influences of the relative advantages, observability, trialability, perceived compatibility, complexity, and perceived enjoyment on the perceived ease of use is noteworthy. Moreover, the effects of the relative advantages, complexity, trialability, observability, perceived compatibility, and perceived enjoyment on the perceived usefulness have a strong impact. Therefore, the empirical results provide strong backing to the integrative approach between TAM and IDT. The findings suggest an extended model of TAM with IDT for the acceptance of the e-learning system used to improve the students' learning performance, which can help decision makers in higher education, universities, as well as colleges to evaluate, plan and execute the use of e-learning systems.

This work aims to investigate the main determinants that could play an important role in increasing the usage and acceptance of e-learning systems among Saudi students. The study employed the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (e-UTAUT) model and introduced new constructs to study the acceptance of e-learning systems in the Saudi Arabian context. The data were collected using a questionnaire survey from a total of 507 undergraduate and postgraduate students at King Faisal University (KFU). The research model was tested using the structural equation modeling technique (SEM). Based on the results, the factors of course design, course content support, course assessment and instructor characteristics were shown to have a significant effect on the actual use of e-learning systems. However, the influence of social influence on actual use was found to be statistically insignificant. Additionally, the course design, course content support, course assessment and instructor characteristics factors were found to have a positive effect on the performance expectancy of e-learning systems. The research findings serve as an important reference for university managers and researchers on students’ priorities when improving course design, course content and course assessment, thereby increasing the usage and acceptance of e-learning systems among students.

Abstract: This research aimed to determine the motivation of learning, communication of e-learning system, and relationship motivation learning and communication learning system of students of primary teacher Education, University PGRI Yogyakarta at the Covid-19 pandemic. This research used quantitative approaches with associative methods. The location of this research at PGRI University Yogyakarta with respondents amounted to 159 students of 2nd semester, consisting of 25 male students and 134 female students. The collection of research data used a questionnaire with a Likert rating scale. Analysis of data by using the correlation formula of product-moment from Pearson with the help of SPSS version 23 of Windows. The results of the study showed that motivational learning data gained good criteria with an average of 2.77, e-learning system learning communication data obtained good criteria with an average value of 2.77, and there was a significant relationship (0.822) between learning motivation with learning communication system e-Learning in the Covid-19 pandemic. This shows that the higher the motivation to learn the higher the learning of E-Learning system communication. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar, komunikasi pembelajaran sistem E-Learning, dan hubungan motivasi belajar dan komunikasi pembelajaran sistem E-Learning mahasiswa PGSD Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode asosiatif. Lokasi penelitian ini di Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta dengan responden berjumlah 159 mahasiswa PGSD semester II, yang terdiri dari 25 mahasiswa laki-laki dan 134 mahasiswa perempuan. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan angket dengan skala Likert. Analisis data dengan menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment dari Pearson dengan bantuan SPSS versi 23 windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data motivasi belajar memperoleh kriteria baik dengan rata-rata 2,77, data komunikasi pembelajaran sistem E-Learning memperoleh kriteria baik dengan nilai rata-rata 2,77, dan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan (0,822) antara motivasi belajar dengan komunikasi pembelajaran sistem E-Learning di masa pandemi Covid 19. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi motivasi belajar maka semakin tinggi pula komunikasi pembelajaran sistem E-Learning.

This study aims at assessing the experience of using the e-learning system at al-Ahliyya Amman University during the covid 19 pandemic from the point of view of faculty, students, and parents. The study examins differences between responses based on different variables. A questionnaire had been prepared and distributed on (104) faculty members via social media platforms (WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook), (477) students, (482) parents, who were selected in a simple random way. A total of questionnaire (1063) were analyzed). The results of the study showed that the evaluation of the teaching staff members towards the use of the electronic learning system at the Al-Ahliyya Amman University came with a high degree of appreciation towards the pros, and with a moderate degree towards the cons. Whreas the evaluation of students towards the pros and cons of using the e-learning system at Al-Ahliyya Amman University was moderate. The study also showed that parents’ evaluation was high regarding the pros of using the e-learning system in Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and moderate towards the cons. The study also showed that there are no statistically significant differences among the responses of the study sample in terms of difference in demographic variables (sex, college, place of residence) for faculty and students, and (kinship, educational level) for parents of students. The provision and usage of online and e-learning system is becoming the main challenge for many universities during COVID-19 pandemic. E-learning system such as Blackboard has several fantastic features that would be valuable for use during this COVID-19 pandemic. However, the successful usage of e-learning system relies on understanding the adoption factors as well as the main challenges that face the current e-learning systems. There is lack of agreement about the critical challenges and factors that shape the successful usage of e-learning system during COVID-19 pandemic; hence, a clear gap has been identified in the knowledge on the critical challenges and factors of e-learning usage during this pandemic. Therefore, this study aims to explore the critical challenges that face the current e-learning systems and investigate the main factors that support the usage of e-learning system during COVID-19 pandemic. This study employed the interview method using thematic analysis through NVivo software. The interview was conducted with 30 students and 31 experts in e-learning systems at six universities from Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The findings of this study offer useful suggestions for policy-makers, designers, developers and researchers, which will enable them to get better acquainted with the key aspects of the e-learning system usage successfully during COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the advantages of applying e learning, a few higher education organizations do not apply e-learning comprehensively and still there exist very few researches, which provide an integrated and effective structure for the acceptance of applying e-learning methods in the Jordanian universities. Hence, it is important to comprehend the factors, which affect the acceptance of e-learning in such universities based on the evaluation of the e-learning experience at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan from the viewpoint of student satisfaction during a full academic year by performing online survey. The study includes many contributions represented by identifying the strengths and weaknesses in the E-learning system after it was updated a year before the implementation of the study, as the new updates included adding more interactive content with students such as; voice and video chat, file and screen sharing, broadcasting lectures or classes, and interactive games. It was necessary to measure student satisfaction with the new changes as well as providing this experience to other educational institutions, it could be an inspirational start that opening new ways for them to develop the mechanisms of e-learning education, which has become one of the most important educational methods adopted in the present and the future, in addition, this study carried out at in the Middle East region, which considered relatively recent in the use of e-learning, and this is a clear guiding instrument for future studies based on different methods, which are related to an effective planning, implementation and development of e-learning. The COVID-19 pandemic has produced an unprecedented change in the educational system worldwide. Besides the economic and social impacts, there is a dilemma of accepting the new educational system ''e-learning'' by students within educational institutions. In particular, universities students have to handle several kinds of environmental, electronic and mental struggles due to COVID-19. To catch the current circumstances of more than two hundred thousand Jordanian university student during COVID-19. The students have been randomly selected to respond on an online survey using universities' portals and websites between March and April 2020. At the end of the data gathering process, we have received 587 records. The dataset includes 1) Demographics of students; 2) students’ perspectives concerning the factors influencing their intention to use e-learning system within the Jordanian universities context. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). Next, the result has confirmed the positive of direct effect variables (subjective norm, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness) on the students’ intention to use e-learning system. Next, the result has also confirmed the mediating effect of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use between subjective norm and the behavioral intention to use the e-learning system with partially supported.

The it relates to healthcare delivery to remote and under-served areas. This is evident in the emergence of many Bluetooth or Wi-Fi-enabled medical devices, such as infusion pumps, smart beds, magnetic resonance imaging scanners, and HoloLens devices, inter alia, currently in use in various hospitals and health facilities. However, the shortage of competent operators and lack of specialized physicians and other health workers, especially in rural and remote areas that lack specialist medical services and major hospitals, still poses a great challenge to high-quality health delivery. This research project was to develop a proof-of-concept system by implementing an E-consultation system leveraged on holographic and augmented reality systems, in a typical intensive care unit (ICU) environment, for the prompt and safe delivery of remote consultancy services. The overall system was implemented as a data center controlling a network of devices and a HoloLens consulting system. This E-Consultation approach created an interactive platform between a patient and a doctor and was tested at the surgical ICUs of Buddhachinaraj Hospital, Phitsanulok, Thailand, with six cardiothoracic patients and 14 other accident patients, participating in the study. The adaptability of the system was tested developmentally over a period of one month. Analysis of the results of a satisfaction survey of the collaboration amongst the medical practitioners (doctors and nurses) and the development team showed that the average satisfaction was 4.37 for system usability and 4.5 for the benefits identified and average satisfaction with the development team was 3.87, both out of a maximum score of 5 points. The findings from this research demonstrate the reliability and efficiency of deploying HoloLens and Hologram devices and justify their use in E-Consulting systems in ICU centers.

The primary purpose of this study is to review and analyse the literature related to e-learning, which is linked to previous studies. Specifically, studies that used the TAM model to examine the effect of eleven external factors, such as website content quality, website design quality, website technical quality, website access speed, usability, e-learning system functionality, e-learning system reliability, facilitating conditions, top management support, student awareness and academic staff awareness on the use of an e-learning system in King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. The findings of this study offer valuable guidelines for practitioners, researchers and educators about the most important factors that enhance the use of e-learning systems in universities. Modern learning techniques require technologies to be embedded within the process. The assessment strategy of testing students has been developed through the past few decades and have presented online computer-based examination systems as a replacement for the conventional paper-based testing. However, a major challenge that is still faced by those examination systems is that there is no any guarantee that students sitting adjacently will have different questions or forms, and the questions of exams' form are not duplicated for any adjacent students within a lab. In fact, this can influence the reliability pertaining to the online examination systems. Consequently, a new algorithm is proposed in this paper for an online examination system that is capable of effectively generating several exam forms with minimal similarity for the constitutional questions, and that guarantees that two adjacent student's terminals will not have the same forms. Further, the paper provides an explanation for the proposed algorithm and provides a real-life case for the implementation pertaining to the produced algorithm in a conducted experiment. It is found to be proven from the obtained results that the implementation, which is related to the produced form generation algorithm within this research reveals an evidence that is in line with the research assumptions in which an online system's assessment reliability can be improved based on eliminating adjacent locations of a form similarity. The paper presents the axiomatic-deductive strategy of organizing the content of an academic discipline with the help of ontological approach in the e-learning systems in the field of information technologies. The authors have taken into account that the necessary property of the system of axiomatic statements is their consistency. On the basis of axiomatic-deductive strategy, new approaches to the formation of the discipline content are proposed. It is proved that the system of true statements of an academic discipline is based on its terminology-conceptual apparatus, in particular, axiomatic statements. The developed mathematical structures that describe the axiomatic-deductive substrategy of the organization of the academic discipline general statements and the taxonomically oriented substrategy of the deployment of the academic discipline content are presented in the article. This ensures the transition from the content form of representation of the set of statements of the academic discipline to its presentation by means of artificial languages of mathematical logic. The use of descriptive logic ensures the formalization of the procedure for displaying an axiomatic informal system in an axiomatic formal system. The mathematical structures describe and detail the abstract logical-semantic core of the academic discipline in the form of a group of axiomatic systems. It is noted that the basic core of the content of academic discipline contains its basic concepts and judgments. This ensures a strictly logical transition from abstract general concepts and statements to the concepts and assertions of the lower level of universality and abstraction. It is noted that in order to accommodate the content of an academic discipline is advisable to develop a taxonomically oriented sub-strategy based on the multiple application of operations of general concept division. The mathematical structures allow for analysis of a generalized structure of interactions between the verbal level of the description of the academic discipline subject area, the formal level of description of the subject area and the description of the subject area at the level of computer ontology, which is implemented through the formalization, interpretation, encoding and decoding in the computer-ontology development environment. As an example of the application of the proposed axiomatic-deductive strategy, the elements of the glossary and taxonomies of the concepts of the discipline "Computer Logic", which are embodied in the Protégé environment with the help of OWL ontology description language have been developed.

The aim of our project is to provide opportunities of smoking cessation to smokers by health guidance in the community health service, industrial health care, and school health care etc. Finally, we hope to increase the number of smokers who perform the smoking cessation and successfully quit smoking. In order to achieve this objective, we will develop e-learning system, science-based information booklet for staff in the field of health/medical care and social services to know how to support smoking cessation for smokers. In particular, we can offer learning opportunities for many people using e-learning system. However, it is difficult to build an instructor network with only e-learning system, we will also have training session in the conventional classroom structure.

E-learning systems have played an important role in the education field and have been widely employed in many educational institutions. Although the need to evaluate the quality of e-learning systems is emerging, there is currently no appropriate evaluation method due to the complicated correlations between quality attributes. This study develops a quality evaluation model that calculates the priority weights of each quality attribute while accounting for their correlations and evaluates the overall quality of a learning system with numerical results. First, the study constructs a quality attribute network that reflects the correlations between 4 main quality clusters and 19 sub-attributes. Second, it calculates the priority weights of the attributes using the Analytic Network Process (ANP). Finally, using the quality network and weights, this study evaluates three types of e-learning systems employed by Kyunghee Cyber University. The results indicate that the proposed evaluation method provides a mechanism for objectively analyzing and comparing the qualities of various kinds of learning systems and suggests guidelines for constructors and managers of learning systems. Electronic learning systems have received increasing attention because they are easily accessible to many students and are capable of personalizing the learning environment in response to students' learning needs. To that end, using fast and flexible algorithms that keep track of the students' ability change in real time is desirable. Recently, the Elo rating system (ERS) has been applied and studied in both research and practical settings (Brinkhuis & Maris, 2009; Klinkenberg, Straatemeier, & van der Maas in Computers & Education, 57, 1813–1824, 2011). However, such adaptive algorithms face the cold-start problem, defined as the problem that the system does not know a new student's ability level at the beginning of the learning stage. The cold-start problem may also occur when a student leaves the e-learning system for a while and returns (i.e., a between-session period). Because external effects could influence the student's ability level during the period, there is again much uncertainty about ability level. To address these practical concerns, in this study we propose alternative approaches to cold-start issues in the context of the e-learning environment. Particularly, we propose making the ERS more efficient by using an explanatory item response theory modeling to estimate students' ability levels on the basis of their background information and past trajectories of learning. A simulation study was conducted under various conditions, and the results showed that the proposed approach substantially reduces ability estimation errors.
