Analysis of Personal Hygiene, Environmental Sanitation and Skin Health Complaints in Inmates at The Class IIA Medan Women's Correctional Institution. This type of research is quantitative research that is descriptive survey. The research was conducted from September 2019 to September 2020 at the Medan Class IIA Women's Correctional Institution. Samples from this study were 86 people. However, personal hygiene of inmates belongs to the bad category with the highest proportion in terms of cleanliness of the use of beds and bed linen (50%), but environmental sanitation conditions in the Medan Class IIA Women's Correctional Institution are included in the criteria of eligibility.

Z delom z mladostniki sem se seznanila skozi vsakoletno opravljanje obvezne prakse v okviru študija na Fakulteti za socialno delo. Delo z mladimi mi je zmeraj predstavljajo neke vrste izziv, hkrati pa mi je sodelovanje z mladimi prinašalo zadovoljstvo ter pridobivanje novih izkušenj in znanj. Zmeraj me je zanimalo, kakšno stališče zavzemajo mladi ter kako oni sami gledajo na določeno stvar, ustanovo ter odnose, v katerih se znajdejo vsak dan. V svoji diplomski nalogi sprva na kratko opišem vzgojno-izobraževalne zavode, značilnosti mladostnikov, ki so nastanjeni v vzgojno-izobraževalni zavod, kako poteka sama oddaja mladostnikov v zavod ter kaj to s seboj prinaša. Tukaj me predvsem zanimajo občutki, ki preplavijo mladostnike ob sprejemu v vzgojno-izobraževalni zavod ter kako se oni sami s tem spoprijemajo. Pregledam stresne situacije, v katerih se mladostniki znajdejo ter vse strategije spoprijemanja s stresnimi situacijami. Prav tako me zanimajo odnosi med mladostniki in zaposlenimi strokovnimi delavci, kaj jim ti nudijo, kakšna je podpora strokovnih delavcev ter metode dela, ki jih pri svojem delu uporabljajo. Ker je zelo pomemben vidik na življenja mladostnikov tudi proces šolanja, se oprem tudi na to ter raziščem, kako poteka proces izobraževanja pri mladostnikih, ki so nastanjeni v vzgojno-izobraževalnem zavodu. Pri tem me zanima delež podpore, ki so je mladi deležni v zavodu ter izven njega, s čim se soočajo, kaj jim predstavlja ovire pri samem procesu ter kaj bi si želeli spremeniti. I was introduced to working with adolescents through my yearly compulsory internship at the Faculty of Social Work. Working with young people has always been a challenge for me, but at the same time I have found it rewarding to work with them and to gain new experiences and skills. I have always been interested in the position of young people and how they themselves view a particular thing, institution and the relationships they are in in their everyday lives. In my thesis, I will first briefly describe correctional institutions, the characteristics of adolescents who are placed in correctional institutions, how the placement of adolescents in institutions is carried out and what it entails. I am particularly interested in the feelings that overwhelm young people when they are admitted to an correctional establishment and how they themselves cope with this. I look at the stressful situations in which adolescents find themselves and all the strategies for coping with stressful situations. I am also interested in the relationship between the adolescents and the practitioners, what they offer them, what support the practitioners give them and the methods they use in their work. Since a very important aspect of adolescents' lives is the process of education, I also focus on this and investigate how the process of education is carried out for adolescents who are placed in an correctional institution. I am interested in the proportion of support that young people receive both in and out of the correctional institution, what they face, what obstacles they face in the process and what they would like to see changed.

According to PP Number 27 of 1983, State Detention Centers, hereinafter referred to as detention centers, are places for suspects and defendants to be detained during the process of investigation, prosecution and examination at court proceedings. In carrying out the duties and authority of the detention center, it is certainly controlled by a leader. In this case the leader in question is the head of the detention center. The head of the detention center in running the leadership wheel must have the skills to lead subordinates. There are several styles or models of leadership, one of which is the situational leadership style, where the leader is more concerned with the situation, when to be pushy and when to moderate. Leadership is certainly associated with performance. Performance is a result of both the quality and quantity performed by officers in carrying out their work. From this understanding, researchers are interested in conducting research related to the influence of situational leadership style on the performance of correctional officers using the correlation method where the independent variable is the influence of the situational leadership style, and the dependent variable is the performance of correctional officers in class IIA Pekalongan Detention Center. Based on the statistical data analysis that the researchers conducted, it can be concluded that the situational leadership style has an effect on the performance of correctional officers in the Class IIA Pekalongan Detention Center.

Background: A prison or Detention Center is a closed community with a high risk of COVID-19 transmission. Preventive efforts to disseminate the virus are needed as soon as possible for the safety of assisted residents who have the possibility of conducting social distancing, considering that the number exceeds the ideal capacity of the detention centre. This study aimed to describe the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of assisted residents at Detention Center Class II B Kolaka regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, which is very important as an evaluation of the condition of the inmates as a closed community and as a consideration for related parties for further local policymaking. Method: This was quantitative research using the cross-sectional design. There were 166 samples in Detention Center Class II B Kolaka. The instrument used was a questionnaire using 20 items. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: Out of 166 respondents, 92.8% had good knowledge, 87.3% had a confident attitude, 86.7% practised vigilance against the COVID-19 Pandemic. Based on the analysis using Chi-Square, it was found that p-value = 0.000, which means that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and practice and between the respondent's attitude and practice.

The training program is carrying out a process to change behavior or improve the abilities, skills, of a person and is implemented in a structured / systematic manner. The competency training program for prisoners is very necessary, with the aim that after leaving prison can easily live their lives, they can use the skills / abilities resulting from the training to be able to continue their life so as not to make the same mistakes, especially the status of ex-convicts often underestimated. by the community. The purpose of this research is to find out what kind of training program provided by the correctional institution to prisoners which aims to develop human resources. By using a qualitative descriptive research method approach, namely a study that describes and analyzes the phenomena or events that occur. The results of the study show that the training program for prisoners is very important in honing the competence of prisoners, many correctional institutions have facilitated this training program, but it is still considered not optimal with regard to the infrastructure that supports the implementation of the training, there are also other obstacles and roles. from other parties who are still lacking, this is very important to pay attention to because this training program can support the ability of prisoners who, after completing their criminal period, to re-enter with the community, can seek a better life. The author suggests that the facilities related to this training be improved, then it can provide an understanding to the surrounding community that prisoners are not trash and that they should be given assistance for their lives so that they do not make the same mistakes again.

The death row inmate becomes one of the members of the Correctional Institution or Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Lapas) when the convict is waiting for the execution time or if the convict is still making a legal effort. This raises problems from the aspect of the rules, which form the basis of prisons' authority in the guidance of death row inmates because the provisions on the development of capital punishment do not have specific regulations. The problem in this research is the urgency of guiding death convicts in prison; how it is implemented, and is there any difference in the guidance for death row inmates in prison; construction or ideal model of guidance for death row inmates in prison; as a result of the law, guidance on death row inmates is carried out in Lapas. This study uses a normative and empirical juridical approach with data collection methods using literature and field studies. The study results show that the prison's guidance is essential considering that the person concerned will be executed, so assistance and supervision are needed to prevent unwanted things, for example, committing a crime, suicide, or experiencing depression. Death row convicts follow other prisoners' proper guidance, provide useful activities to death convicts, and provide the death convicts with the rights. The superior construction for the development of capital punishment is contained in the Criminal Code Draft or Rancangan Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana (RKUHP), which makes capital punishment an alternative punishment, provides a probation period of 10 years for the death row inmates, the superior construction of both the place and the material for its guidance must be distinguished from those sentenced to other types of crimes. As a result of the law, there is no certainty of guidance for death row inmates in prison because there are no specific regulations regarding death penalty services.

Penitentiary (LP) is a correctional facility in which there are assisted residents consisting of convicts. The social organization aims to ensure that its assisted residents are aware of the mistakes that have been made before and can improve themselves so that they do not fall into the same mistakes. In order to achieve this goal, the government has formulated the concept of structured guidance, training and empowerment in the field of religion or expertise for assisted residents so that they can have the ability after leaving the correctional institution. One of the well-known Penitentiary (LP) is in Cilacap Regency, precisely on the island of Nusa Kambangan. The penitentiary is called Lapas Permisan Nusa Kambangan. In this institution there are trainings for assisted residents so that after leaving the prison they can have business opportunities or get jobs to support their daily lives. One of them is training in making calligraphy in the form of figures, batik, etc. To make this happen. Therefore the Electrical Engineering Study Program will conduct training activities on how to assemble a dot matrix and its control devices to make running text and prayer time schedules. This activity is a positive alternative for the assisted residents, increasing the abilities and insights that will be used when they graduate as assisted residents or leave the Permisan Nusa Kambangan Prison. This training was held for 3 meetings with the preparation of modules and lesson plans to be adjusted.

Background To formulate better future policies, this study aims to understand the outpatient services provided in a prison in Southern Taiwan by the contracted hospital in two phases. Methods Data were analyzed through the outpatient medical services performed by the contracted hospitals in prison in two phases (2013–2015 and 2016–2018). SPSS 20.0 software was used to analyze data such as age, medical fees, department, outpatient visits, average number of visits per patient, and common diseases. Results The average age of the treated inmates was 49.34 and 47.04 years in the first and second phases, respectively. Most patients belong in the age group of 41–50 years. The number of medical visits per person increased from 15.6 to 20.6 visits. The average medical fee per visit increased from NTD 748 to NTD 775, and the average days of medication per visit decreased from 14 to 13 days. Commonly visited were family medicine, general medicine, orthopedics, and psychiatry departments. Disease of the skin and subcutaneous tissue was the first common disease in both phases, and hypertension was the most common disease. Conclusion The number of medical visits and the average medical fee increased. The medical cost of inmates is higher than the generally insured individuals. If environmental conditions in the correctional facility are improved, the consumption of medical resources will be reduced. There should be a complete therapy and medical treatment plan for mentally ill inmates for a successful return to the society after serving time.

One of the current issues of criminal law, in general, is the issue of execution of a criminal judgment sentenced by the international criminal court (ad hoc or permanent international criminal court). The issue is ongoing because international criminal courts do not have their institutions for the enforcement of criminal sanctions they impose, but are, in that regard, instructed to cooperate with states that express readiness to execute criminal sanctions - imprisonment sentences imposed by an international criminal court in their prison facilities. Among the numerous issues related to this issue, the paper analyzes only those related to the legal basis for standardization, conditions, and manner of execution of a prison sentence imposed by an international criminal court.

The article examines the features of the implementation by convicts of the right to compensation in case of violation of the conditions of their detention in correctional institutions. The subject of the research is national legislation, materials of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, scientific works on the topic under study. The purpose of preparing the article is to determine the circumstances that determine the conditions of maintenance in correctional institutions, in case of violation for which the convict has the right to file a claim for compensation. The methodological basis of the research was formed by such research methods as system-structural, analysis and synthesis. As a result of the work on the article, legislative and doctrinal concepts of conditions for serving imprisonment sentences were considered, factors that led to the appearance of Article 121 of the Penal Code of the Russian Federation in the penal legislation and the structure of this norm and the mechanisms of its implementation were analyzed. The grounds for the implementation by convicts of the right to compensation in case of violation of the conditions of their detention in correctional institutions have been studied. It is noted that the material norms defining the conditions of maintenance in penal institutions are contained in international standards for the execution of sentences, the Penal Code of the Russian Federation, and other laws that secure the legal status of Russian citizens. Conclusions are drawn about the importance of securing in the penal legislation the right of convicts to file an administrative claim for compensation in case of maintenance in a penal institution. The novel in the form of such a legal structure will not only serve as an additional guarantee of the legal status of convicts, but will also strengthen the authority of the Russian Federation at the international level. The study makes a certain contribution to the development of the science of criminal executive law, the theory of human rights and contributes to further developments in this area. The practical significance of the results of the work lies in the possibility of their use in the educational process of educational institutions of the FPS of Russia, in the system of advanced training of practitioners. The article is devoted to the study of the territory of the correctional institution for establishing the places of possible commission of crimes by convicts and subsequent prevention of the crimes. The study of the situation in the process of investigating penitentiary crimes, has an important forensic value. The study of the environment (situation) of the correctional institution allows you to identify the weak points that contribute to the commission of crimes and act as its condition. Analysis of the practice of investigating crimes, studying materials of criminal cases, accurate and timely execution of the investigator's submissions to eliminate the circumstances that contributed to the commission of crimes will help minimize (and sometimes make impossible) the commission of crimes by convicts. Currently, the system of sentences execution in the Republic of Kazakhstan does not correspond to the realities of modern times and needs to be reformed. This fact is confirmed by penitentiary practitioners and scientists. The system of punishment execution does not provide for the correction of convicts and their subsequent resocialization. Instead, it has become a punitive tool for those who are punished for criminal offenses. As a result, instead of returning a person to society, which is the goal of criminal, penal legislation and justice, the system of punishment execution, on the contrary, alienates convicts, turning them into outcasts and eternal “enemies” of justice. At the same time, significant amounts of money are allocated from the state budget for the implementation of these negative functions. According to prisoners serving sentences, and especially the former prisoners, the penal system continues to be punitive, harsh, and sometimes violent in nature. Instead of the creation, education of prisoners, it carries out the function of providing a strict isolation of convicts, making it impossible to maintain contact with the outside world and breaking all contact with the past life, thus creating new social problems, which the state has to solve. The crisis in the penal system is compounded by the negative assessment of the entire system of punishment execution by civil society. In the article, the author examines the existing problems in the system of punishment execution in the Republic of Kazakhstan and justifies the need to switch to a new model of punishment execution. The author offers an approximate model of the new system of punishment execution. Specific proposals are formulated to improve the legal and organizational issues of the system of punishment execution.

Adanya stigma masyarakat terhadap mantan narapidana merupakan fenomena yang masih kerap terjadi ketika narapidana keluar dari Lembaga Pemasyarakatan. Penolakan kehadiran mereka membuat mantan narapidana enggan bersosialisasi dengan normal. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Salemba dalam mempersiapkan narapidana menghadapi akhir masa tahanannya ditinjau dari aspek sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahkualitatif. Dalam melakukan penelitian ini, peneliti datang ke Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Salemba untuk memperoleh data-data yang dibutuhkan. Peneliti melakukan wawancara terhadap tiga narasumber, yaitu Pembina Kerohanian Kristen, beberapa narapidana Kristen yang telah mengikuti proses pendampingan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan tersebut, dan yayasan YASINDO, dimana yayasan tersebut menerima mantan narapidana sebelum terhisap di masyarakat. Hasil dari penelitian ini, didapati aspek pembinaan sosial belum dapat menolong narapidana untuk kembali hidup di masyarakat luas. Kekuatiran atau ketakutan masih dimiliki oleh para narapidana yang akan selesai masa tahanannya. Hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya fasilitas waktu untuk mengikuti pembinaan tersebut.

The relevance of the work consists in the clearest definition of the subject of Prosecutor's supervision when the court considers materials on changing a convict’s type of correctional institution. The Prosecutor's office's supervision of the execution of sentences in places of deprivation of liberty should be aimed at unconditionally observing the rights and legitimate interests of persons serving criminal sentences, however, there are still serious problems in correctional institutions that negatively affect the implementation of the tasks and goals of criminal punishment. The reason for this is still cases of “superficial” and non-professional approach to the study of the personality of convicts who are subjects of legal relations that occur when their behavior changes (in a positive or negative direction) in places of deprivation of liberty. The Prosecutor's supervision and its activities in this regard are considered as one of the guarantees of the rights of convicts to improve their legal status, which fully implements the constitutional principle of respect for the dignity of the individual, humanism, justice and the rule of law. The materials of Prosecutor's checks, judicial practice, analysis of statistical materials, materials of dissertations, monographs and journals included in the international global scientific databases studied in the course of the research allowed us to determine the most effective ways to solve the problems considered. These include the need for direct, timely and step-by-step participation of prosecutors in this process, as well as high requirements for their professional and personal qualities. The selection and analysis of these factors allowed the authors to determine in detail the subject of the Prosecutor's activity in the mentioned study – it is an active and qualified activity of the Prosecutor (Prosecutor's supervision) in the field of criminal enforcement legislation, aimed at identifying, preventing (preventing) and eliminating violations of the rights and legitimate interests of convicted persons serving a sentence of imprisonment. The main research methods used were: analysis of theoretical and regulatory sources; comparison; generalization and analysis of documents. Their application allowed the author to analyze the subject in question in the relationship and interdependence of its constituent elements, their integrity, comprehensiveness and objectivity.

Assimilation is part of the development process as well as the right of narcotics inmates inside the Penitentiary to mingle directly with the community outside the prison. In the application of assimilation often narcotics inmates commit irregularities that violate the rule of law, irregularities are carried out to obtain narcotics for addicts and for dealers to operate narcotics trafficking from inside prisons, this event indicates that the legal awareness of inmates undergoing the process of assimilation has not shown a success. The problems examined include First, how is the implementation of assimilation for narcotics inmates in Class II A Kendal Correctional Institution. Second, whether narcotics inmates are given special supervision while undergoing the process of assimilation. Third, how is the success rate of coaching narcotics inmates at the stage of assimilation in realizing legal awareness? This research uses the socio-legal approach method, data obtained through interviews and observations, then data processed descriptively analytically. The results showed that the implementation of assimilation of narcotics inmates was carried out in prisons as a preventive effort so as not to fall back on narcotics. Assimilation in prisons is carried out by involving people from outside prisons to carry out activities with narcotics inmates in various aspects such as education, sports, and the arts. Supervision is carried out strictly with certain restrictions by officers, inmate guardians, and also prison intelligence so that inmates do not feel intervened during the assimilation. The level of legal awareness shown by narcotics inmates at Kendal correctional institutions showed positive results in which they showed compliance with the rule of law in general and the rules of the potentiation and did not commit any violations in the process of assimilation.

Peningkatan Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan (WBP) di Dunia terjadi setiap tahun. Data World Prison Population List tahun 2014 menunjukkan Indonesia menempati urutan sepuluh besar jumlah Warga binaan Pemasyarakan terbanyak. Sebagian besar Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Laki-laki mengalami kelebihan daya tampung WBP, sehingga menjadi penyebab masalah psikososial yang akan berdampak terhadap spiritual well being WBP laki-laki. Tingkat pendidikan WBP dapat mempengaruhi spiritual well being WBP. Tingkat pendidikan sangat bervariasi sehingga tingkat spiritual well being berbeda antar WBP. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan tingkat spiritual well being WBP laki-laki. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan non probability sampling dengan metode purposive sampling. Analisis univariat dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik responden WBP laki-laki. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Spearman rho untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pendidikan dengan tingkat spiritual well being WBP laki-laki. Jumlah sampel 105 responden yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi yaitu WBP laki-laki yang bisa membaca, WBP laki-laki yang kooperatif, dan WBP laki-laki yang berusia >17 Tahun. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrument Spiritual Well Being Scale (SWBS) Ellison. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan spiritual well being WBP laki-laki dengan nilai p 0,000. Hubungan antar variabel adalah hubungan positif, semakin tinggi tingkat pendidikan maka akan semakin tinggi tingkat spiritual well being. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan spiritual well being WBP laki-laki. Kata kunci: tingkat pendidikan, spiritual well being, WBP laki-laki. Correlation Between the Level of Education with Spiritual Well Being of Male Inmates at the Correctional Institution in Central Java Abstract. The increase of male inmates in the World occurs every year. World Prison Population List data for 2014 shows Indonesia ranks in the top ten in the number of inmates. Most male correctional institutions experience excess capacity of male inmates, so that it causes psychosocial problems that will have an impact on the spiritual well being of male inmates. The level of inmates education can affect the spiritual well being of inmates. The level of education varies greatly so that the level of spiritual well being differs between. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of education with the level of spiritual well being male inmates. This type of research is quantitative with cross sectional research methods. Sampling uses non probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. Univariate analysis was performed to determine the characteristics of male inmates respondents. Bivariate analysis uses the Spearman rho test to determine the relationship of education level with the level of spiritual well being of male inmates. Total sample of 105 respondents who fit the inclusion criteria were male inmates who could read, male inmates who were cooperative, and male inmates who are more than 17 years old. Retrieval of data using Ellison's Spiritual Well Being Scale (SWBS) instrument. The results showed there was a relationship between the level of education with the spiritual well being of male inmates with a p value 0.000. The relationship between variables was a positive relationship, the higher the level of education the higher the level of spiritual well being. The conclusion of this research there is a significant relationship between the level of education and spiritual well being of male inmates. The excess housing in the Indonesian Correctional Institution does not abate. This condition is faced with criminal efforts which should be a final diversion related to the effort to include convicted persons in Corrections Institutions. The aim is to analyze whether the mediation of penal as the application of Restorative Justice can be an alternative effort to minimize excess occupancy inmates in correctional institutions. The use of this research as a recommendation for law enforcement officials in the handling of criminal acts by promoting penal mediation. The research uses normative legal research methods with literature studies. Mediation Penal is considered able to be an intermediary process of mediation or peace between perpetrators of criminal acts with victims of criminal acts as minimizing the excess occupancy that starts from handling the police and prosecutors stage.

Correctional Institution is a place to carry out a formation for prisoners and correctional students. Based on data from the Directorate General of Prisons (Ditjenpas) as of March 2020 the number of prisoners in prison Class II Cibinong reached 1,465 people not all come from Cibinong and surrounding areas but also not a few who come from outside. This has become one of the factors of development to get support from the family. This research raised the issue of how the influence of family social support on the psychological of prisoners? This study aims to determine the effect of family social support on the behavior of prisoners. This research was conducted in Prison Class II Cibinong. This research used a quantitative approach research method. This research was conducted on March 2020. The data were obtained using questionnaire filling techniques. The process of taking research samples used the technique of Simple Random Sampling, which was a sampling method in which each individual has the opportunity to become a sample in research. After that, the data was collected by using questionnaire distribution techniques that have been prepared with the answer format on a Likert scale, in-depth interviews, and literature studies to obtain correct and detailed data and information. The results of this study indicate that family social support influences the behavior of prisoners. Inmates who get social support from their families will be more positive and have a calmer psychological.

Narcotics crime in Indonesia is increasing. Law enforcement continues to push but these crimes remain higher. One reason is easy access to narcotics in the market. This study discusses whether law enforcement policies in eradicating narcotics among inmates have been effective and what obstacles are faced by BNN in carrying out enforcement of narcotics eradication law among inmates. The study was conducted using empirical juridical methods with descriptive analytical research specifications. Resource persons in this study are BNN Central Java Province and Narcotics Prison. The analysis of this research uses descriptive qualitative and content analysis using legal interpretation, legal principles and legal theories. This research uses the Research and Development analysis method. The handling of drug use by the National Narcotics Agency in prison is still not optimal because there are obstacles in the form of a lack of prison staff to monitor the target people.

Health and safety environtment are an important issue and must be materialized in every task execution. As an officer at the forefront of correctional institutions, P2U officers often do not know the magnitude of the impact of radiation exposure to their health. The impact often can be minimized by given the knowledge to the officers P2U related dangers that can cause health problems for them. Therefore, in this study conducted case study on the magnitude of the dose radiation exposure officers who can provide a prudent effect in carrying out the task through laboratory tests. This research can provide knowledge not only to the officers, but also the community that will later visit the Correctional Institution. According to the data listed in the correctional Database system until March 2020 it has been recorded as many as 9,917 guards who every day were on the machine that had a negative impact on their health. With this research, officers need to implement strict protocols in order to avoid the adverse effects of radiation on their health.

Previous research on the effects of imprisonment or correctional practices on increasing recurrent crime is not clear enough. Mentioned in previous studies, although it was found data that people who have been imprisoned will tend to become recidivists (repeating their crimes) with a percentage of ± 7-13%, but it cannot be ascertained how far the likelihood of recurring crimes is really caused by imprisonment. Based on these questions, this study aims to explore the phenomenon of the School of Crime in Class IIA Jember Lapas. The choice of location of the study is based on the incidence of recurrent crime which is quite high in the correctional institution. The results of this study are expected to provide an overview of other factors beyond guidance that are often not detected by the Lapas, so that efforts to anticipate and change the atmosphere in guidance can be done to overcome this phenomenon. The qualitative method with the Phenomenology Case Study approach was used for this purpose, with the FGD and in-depth interviews as the main data collection methods. The research subjects used were 9 recidivist prisoners (6 for FGDs and 3 for in-depth interviews). Analysis of the data used is Interpretative Phenomelogical Analysis (IPA) which is used to make conclusions about the themes of the research findings. The results of the study found that: First, prisons provide an opportunity to learn about characters that are considered better, as well as strategies and methods used in committing crimes from fellow prisoners. Secondly, prisons also provide an opportunity to add social networks to friendship and connections, which later has the potential as a supporting factor or risk factor for the formation of repetition of crime after the prison is released. Third, criminal tendencies and family problems become risk factors or protective factors for the formation of recurrent crime

Leseprobe Leseprobe 2 ----- Zusammenfassung Der folgende Artikel geht der Frage nach, welche Begriffe hilfreich sein konnten, den Widerstand von Illegalisierten wahrzunehmen, die sich ihrer Abschiebung widersetzten. Wie nutzlich sind hier Konzepte wie „ziviler Ungehorsam“, „Verzweiflungstat“ und „politischer Protest“; und was bedeutet gemeinsamer Widerstand im Kontext nahezu totaler Beraubung an Moglichkeiten und Rechten? Dafur beschaftigt sich der Text sich mit einer brennenden Zelle in der Schubhaft im Polizeianhaltezentrum Wien Hernals. Mit Hilfe von Interviews mit einem der Gefangenen sowie Beobachtungsprotokollen aus der Gerichtsverhandlungen gegen jene sechs Schubhaftgefangenen, die versuchten ihre Abschiebung durch Inbrandsetzung der Zelle zu verhindern, wird die zynische Verdinglichung von nicht-europaischen „anderen“ als koloniale Kontinuitat und Produktion illegalisierter Arbeitskraft diskutiert. Gegen Verdinglichung und Entrechtlichung wird dann das „billigende Horen“ als Praxis der Forschung wie der Rechtsprechung vorgeschlagen. Mit dem Fokus auf marginalisierte Formen des Widerstands soll die folgende Auseinandersetzung dazu beitragen, uber die Vorstellung von Kollektivitat und Offentlichkeit als vermeintliche Wesenszuge des Widerstands hinauszugehen. Nur durch diese Perspektivenverschiebung, so soll argumentiert werden, kann es der Forschung zukunftig gelingen, jene marginalen Formen des Widerstands wahrzunehmen, welche inmitten der Entrechtlichung und Verdinglichung sowie vor und unterhalb jeder Gemeinschaft stattfinden: Widerstandigkeit, die sich der Kollektivitat und Offentlichkeit im gleichen Mase entzieht, wie sie mit der Dichotomie von Verzweiflung versus politischem Protest bricht. A Burning Prison Cell, Violent Reification, and the Common Attempt to Escape Deportation Abstract This article discusses the following questions: Which terms might be helpful to apprehend the resistance of illegalised people against deportation? How useful are concepts like “civil disobedience”, “acts of desperation” and “political protest”? And, what does resistance mean in a context of almost total deprivation of possibilities and rights? In order to address these questions, the article uses the case of a burning prison cell in Vienna, which was used to detain people pending deportation. Through interviews with one of the detainees, as well as through observation protocols from the trail against the six inmates that tried to prevent their deportation through setting their prison cell on fi re, the article discusses the cynical reification of Non-European “others” as a colonial continuity and as performative of an illegalised workforce. Against reification and the denial of rights, the article suggests “endorsing listening” as a practice for both research and jurisdiction. Resistance is often conceptually linked with notions of collectivity and the public sphere. This article shows that marginalised forms of resistance often occur outside of a collectively and/or the public sphere, while resistance that takes place amid reification and the deprivation of rights breaks the dichotomy between desperation and political protest. Spürbare Unterschiede bei Zugang, Umfang, Überwachung und den technischen und organisatorischen Rahmenbedingungen berühren grundsätzliche verfassungsrechtliche Fragen zur Gleichbehandlung und Chancengleichheit im Hinblick auf das Grundrecht auf Resozialisierung sowie das strafrechtliche Prinzip der Einheitsfreiheitsstrafe. Die Situation in Deutschland wird darüber hinaus mit den einschlägigen Europaratsempfehlungen kontrastiert. Eine umfangreihe Dokumentation aller Feststellungen des Europäischen Anti-Folter-Komitees (CPT) zur Gefangenentelefonie aus den Länderberichten seit 2010 rundet die Publikation ab. Access to telephone and other forms of electronic communication is one of the areas in which prison conditions vary significantly in Germany. The divergent conditions raise several fundamental human rights concerns, such as equal treatment of inmates, the right of resocialization, and the rights to privacy and family life. This volume provides a theoretical and empirically substantiated analysis of the impact and significance of telephone communication for resocialization and recidivism. German practices were also examined in light of the Council of Europe's standards for inmates' contacts with the outside world. An overview of key observations from the CPT's country reports regarding telephone communication of prisoners completes the book.

Im 26. Jahr der Erhebungsreihe zur Situation in den sozialtherapeutischen Einrichtungen zeigt sich eine weitere Stabilisierung der strukturellen Gegebenheiten. In diesem Berichtsjahr wurde eine sozialtherapeutische Einrichtung geöffnet und eine geschlossen, sodass weiterhin 71 Einrichtungen vorhanden sind, die geringfügig weniger Haftplätze zur Verfügung stellen konnten als im Vorjahr. Dennoch wird weiterhin die Tendenz einer Versorgungssättigung gesehen, obwohl die Zahl der Gefangenen in sozialtherapeutischen Einrichtungen geringfügig sank. Folglich lässt sich auch eine sinkende Belegungsquote beobachten, ein Trend, der sich seit einigen Jahren fortsetzt. In diesem Jahr sank der Anteil der Gefangenen, die älter als 50 Jahre alt sind leicht, wobei der Anteil der Jugendlichen und Heranwachsenden sich ebenfalls weiter verringerte. Sexualstraftäter*innen stellten wieder die Hälfte der Inhaftierten in der Sozialtherapie. Der Anteil der Gefangenen, die keine Zulassung zu vollzugsöffnenden Maßnahmen innehatten oder höchstens zu Ausführungen zugelassen waren, betrug in diesem Jahr etwas mehr als 82%, was einem neuen Höchststand entspricht. Die Fachdienstausstattung blieb auf gleichbleibend günstigem Niveau mit lediglich 5,7 Haftplätzen auf einer Fachdienststelle. Weitere Ergebnisse und Entwicklungen werden im Bericht dargestellt.

В практической деятельности учреждений и органов уголовно-исполнительной системы возникают ситуации, в которых их нормальная жизнедеятельность временно прерывается и они переходят в так называемый особый порядок функционирования. Таковыми являются: стихийные бедствия, массовые беспорядки осужденных, аварии, введение чрезвычайного или военного положения, групповые неповиновения осужденных, захват и освобождение заложников на территории исправительного учреждения, розыск и задержание бежавших из исправительного учреждения осужденных, пожары. В случае возникновения данных нештатных ситуаций резко осложняется оперативная обстановка и появляются основания для введения режима особых условий в исправительных учреждениях, а также СИЗО. Режим особых условий представляет собой комплекс организационных мер, вводимых, когда в районе расположения исправительного учреждения установлено чрезвычайное, военное и особое положение, а также при возникновении массовых беспорядков или групповых неповиновениях осужденных. Изучение проблемных вопросов введения данного режима является актуальным направлением исследований в современной пенитенциарной науке. В представленной статье предпринята попытка комплексного рассмотрения практических вопросов введения в учреждениях уголовно-исполнительной системы режима особых условий. Автор считает возможным дополнить перечень закрепленных в законе оснований для введения режима особых условий еще несколькими и вносит предложения по совершенствованию действующего уголовно-исполнительного законодательства.

The Class 1 penitentiary of Malang has several work guidance which is used as a forum to equip the inmate's skills during their sentence. One of the work guidance that is of concern at this time is the work guidance of shibori batik. Conditions in the field indicate that there is still a lack of knowledge possessed by the inmates which can be seen from the work produced in this work guidance. Information was also obtained from the person in charge of working guidance for shibori batik, in his explanation he said that there was still a lack of knowledge and techniques for making shibori. Therefore, it is very necessary to provide material in the form of knowledge and techniques for making shibori in more detail so that the insight of the inmates also develops and generates new creative ideas. The solution offered to solve these problems is to provide training in making shibori motifs and manufacturing techniques. The method was used in the form of lectures and demonstrations which were attended by 30 trainees. This activity was greeted with great enthusiasm by the inmates. Various techniques of making shibori were tried to produce a variety of motifs produced by each participant. The training activities ran smoothly and received support from various parties so that the training activities could be carried out optimally Abstrak Lapas Kelas 1 Malang memiliki beberapa bimbingan kerja yang digunakan sebagai wadah untuk membekali keterampilan warga binaan selama menjalani masa hukuman. Salah satu bimbingan kerja yang menjadi perhatian saat ini adalah bimbingan kerja batik shibori. Kondisi di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa masih minimnya pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh warga binaan yang terlihat dari hasil karya yang dihasilkan pada bimbingan kerja ini. Informasi juga digali dari penanggungjawab bimbingan kerja batik shibori, dalam penjelasannya mengatakan memang masih minim untuk pengetahuan dan Teknik pembuatan shibori. Oleh karena itu sangat diperlukan pemberian materi berupa pengetahuan dan teknik pembuatan sibori lebih detail sehingga wawasan warga binaan juga berkembang dan memunculkan ide-ide kreatif baru. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan pembuatan motif shibori dan teknik pembuatannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan berupa ceramah dan demonstrasi yang diikuti oleh 30 peserta pelatihan. Kegiatan ini disambut dengan sangat antusias oleh warga binaan. Berbagai teknik pembuatan shibori dicoba sehingga dapat menghasilkan beragam motif yang dihasilkan oleh setiap peserta. Kegitan pelatihan berjalan lancar dan mendapatkan support dari berbagai pihak sehingga kegiatan pelatihan dapat dilaksanakan dengan maksimal.&nbsp
