In order to improve the flame retardancy and smoke suppression of silicone rubber foam (SRF), the CoFe‐LDH was fabricated by coprecipitation method and used as flame‐retardant ingredient in SRF. The influence of CoFe‐LDH on the flame retardancy, combustion behavior, and thermal stability of SRF was investigated. The results demonstrate that SRF containing only 1.0 phr CoFe‐LDH can pass V‐0 rating in the vertical combustion test, with a limiting oxygen index of 28.6%. The total heat release and total smoke production are 22.2% and 61.1% lower than that of SRF, respectively. Moreover, CoFe‐LDH can improve the thermal stability of SRF in the high temperature range, and the char residue at 900°C of SRF/LDH composite is obviously higher than that of pure SRF. In addition, to further understand the flame‐retardant mechanism of CoFe‐LDH, the micromorphology of the char residue and the gaseous products during heating for SRF and SRF/LDH composite were analyzed. The results indicate that CoFe‐LDH exhibits excellent flame‐retardant effects in both condensed and gaseous phases for its functions of catalysis, carbonization, and nonflammable gas release. Background Excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) is one of the most frequent nonmotor symptoms in Parkinson's disease (PD); however, the pathogenesis of EDS is unclear, and there is a lack of information on plasma biomarkers for EDS in PD. We aimed to investigate the plasma biomarkers of EDS in a large PD cohort. Methods A total of 159 PD patients were included in the prospective cohort study and followed up annually for 3 years. Plasma biomarkers including glial fibrillary acidic protein, amyloid-beta, p-tau181, and neurofilament light chain (NfL), were measured using an ultrasensitive single-molecule array (Simoa) technology at each visit. EDS was evaluated using the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS). Results The frequency of EDS in PD increased from 15.1% at baseline to 25.0% after 3 years. The mean ESS scores increased from 5.1 (standard deviation [ SD ]: 4.8) at baseline to 6.1 (SD : 5.5) at the third year of follow-up. At baseline, compared with patients with PD without EDS, those with EDS were more likely to be male, had poorer cognitive performance, and more severe motor and nonmotor symptoms. The adjusted generalized estimating equations models showed that higher plasma NfL levels (OR: 1.047 [1.002–1.094], p  = .042) were associated with EDS during follow-ups. The adjusted linear mixed-effects model showed that higher plasma NfL levels (β 0.097 [0.012–0.183], p  = .026) were associated with ESS scores during follow-ups. Conclusions Higher plasma NfL levels were associated with EDS in PD, indicating an association between neuro-axonal degeneration and EDS in PD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the process of human lipid metabolism, the abnormality of lipids and their metabolites can increase the risk of suffering from a variety of diseases. Therefore, maintaining normal lipid metabolism level is helpful for the body to maintain a healthy state. Tea is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world. Its rich contents and active ingredients have been proved to have a significant effect on reducing body fat and preventing obesity. In the way that tea regulates lipid metabolism, its active ingredients can interact with gut microbiota, improve the composition and homeostasis of gut microbiota, help to maintain intestinal barrier function, and regulate fat consumption and accumulation, which is an important part of tea participating in lipid metabolism. This review focuses on the active components of tea, including tea polyphenols, tea polysaccharides and caffeine, which regulate the biological functions of intestinal microecology in different ways, such as the relative abundance of bacteria, bile acid metabolism, and the interaction between bacteria and tea metabolites, thus affecting lipid metabolism, providing the latest scientific evidence for related research. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide advice for the indication of regional nodal irradiation (RNI) in patients with one to two positive sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) without axillary lymph node dissection (ALND). Methods: We conducted a retrospective study in Shandong Cancer Hospital, Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, and West China Hospital. Logistic analysis was performed in order to explore the influencing factors of positive non-SLNs (NSLNs) and >3 positive nodes among patients with one to two SLNs+. Then, nomograms were constructed. Results: Between May 2010 and 2020, among the 2,845 patients with one to two SLNs+ undergoing ALND (1,992 patients in the training set and 853 patients in the validation set), there were 34.3% harbored NSLNs+ and 15.6% harbored >3 positive nodes. Multivariate analysis showed that cN stage, the number of positive/negative SLN, pathological tumor stage, lympho-vascular invasion (LVI), multicenter, and molecular subtypes were significantly associated with NSLN metastasis. Similarly, multivariate analysis also showed that cN stage, the number of positive/negative SLNs, pathological tumor stage, and LVI could be independent predictors of >3 positive nodes. Then, nomograms for NSLN metastasis and >3 positive nodes were constructed using these parameters, respectively. Conclusions: The nomograms will be useful in estimating positive NSLNs and >3 positive nodes, and they might provide advice for the optimization of RNI. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Non‐state actors (NSAs) have been widely recognized as important participants in the global climate regime. Their participation is considered to have the potential to enhance the democratic legitimacy of global governance institutions such as the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). What is the mechanism through which NSAs grant legitimacy to the institution? This study connects NSA legitimation with their deliberation at multilateral venues. I argue that, while NSAs do not have formal voting or decision‐making power, evaluating their participation in deliberation activities, such as the Side Events at the annual Conference of Parties, can shed light on our understanding of whether there is equality in their participation and who gets to contribute to the institutional legitimacy of the UNFCCC. Drawing on the example of women's groups at the UNFCCC, I demonstrate their increasing participation in deliberation. Quantitative analysis and interviews suggest that their participation is relatively inclusive with a diverse range of actors and viewpoints. Although Global Northern NSAs enjoy some advantages in participation, the effect is balanced by NSAs' social embeddedness, especially for the Southern groups, and the robust collaborations between the North and South. These features are likely to enhance the legitimacy of UNFCCC. Future research should consider how to understand and assess legitimacy in global governance regimes and who may be left out in the legitimation process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is associated with a dismal prognosis. Immune checkpoint inhibitors have shown promising antitumor activity in neoadjuvant settings. This single-arm, phase II trial aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of camrelizumab plus chemotherapy as the neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) in early TNBC. Methods: Patients received eight cycles of camrelizumab plus nonplatinum-based chemotherapy. The primary endpoint was total pathological complete response (pCR). Secondary endpoints included the breast pathological complete response (bpCR), adverse events (AEs). Multiomics biomarkers were assessed as exploratory objective. Results: Twenty of 23 TNBC patients receiving NAT underwent surgery, with the total pCR rate of 65% (13/20) and bpCR rate of 70% (14/20). Grade ≥3 treatment-related AEs were observed in 14 (60.9%) patients, with the most common AE being neutropenia (65.2%). Tumor immune microenvironment was analyzed between pCR and non-pCR samples before and after the NAT. Gene expression profiling showed a higher immune infiltration in pCR patients than non-pCR patients in pre-NAT samples. Through establishment of a predictive model for the NAT efficacy, TAP1 and IRF4 were identified as the potential predictive biomarkers for response to the NAT. Gene set enrichment analysis revealed the glycolysis and hypoxia pathways were significantly activated in nonpCR patients before the NAT, and this hypoxia was aggravated after the NAT. Conclusion: Camrelizumab plus nonplatinum-based chemotherapy shows a promising pCR rate in early-stage TNBC, with an acceptable safety profile. TAP1 and IRF4 may serve as potential predictive biomarkers for response to the NAT. Aggravated hypoxia and activated glycolysis after the NAT may be associated with the treatment resistance.
