Brain metastases challenge cancer treatments with poor prognoses, despite ongoing advancements. Immunotherapy effectively alleviates advanced cancer, exhibiting immense potential to revolutionize brain metastasis management. To identify research priorities that optimize immunotherapies for brain metastases, 2164 related publications were analyzed. Scientometric visualization via R software, VOSviewer, and CiteSpace showed the interrelationships among literature, institutions, authors, and topic areas of focus. The publication rate and citations have grown exponentially over the past decade, with the US, China, and Germany as the major contributors. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center ranked highest in publications, while Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center was most cited. Clusters of keywords revealed six hotspots: 'Immunology', 'Check Point Inhibitors', 'Lung Cancer', 'Immunotherapy', 'Melanoma', 'Breast Cancer', and 'Microenvironment'. Melanoma, the most studied primary tumor with brain metastases offers promising immunotherapy advancements with generalizability and adaptability to other cancers. Our results outline the holistic overview of immunotherapy research for brain metastases, which pinpoints the forefront in the field, and directs researchers toward critical inquiries for enhanced mechanistic insight and improved clinical outcomes. Moreover, governmental and funding agencies will benefit from assigning financial resources to entities and regions with the greatest potential for combating brain metastases through immunotherapy. In this study, a UPLC-MS/MS method was developed for determination of pancratistatin in the mouse blood, and the pharmacokinetics of pancratistatin in mice after intravenous (5 mg kg−1) and intragastric (15 mg kg−1) administration was studied. HSS T3 column was used for separation with mobile phases of acetonitrile and 0.1% formic acid using gradient elution procedure. The blood sample was treated by protein precipitant with acetonitrile, midazolam was used as internal standard (IS). Multiple reaction monitoring mode (MRM) was used for quantitative analysis, m/z 326.2→83.8 for pancratistatin and m/z 326.2→291.4 for IS in electrospray (ESI) positive interface. It showed a good linear in the range of 10–4,000 ng mL−1 (r > 0.998); the intra-day and inter-day precision was <15%, and the accuracy was 93%–105%. The recovery was better than 82%, and the matrix effect was 94%–105%. The developed UPLC-MS/MS method was fast, selective, and suitable for the pharmacokinetics of pancratistatin in mice. To investigate the effects of low-temperature (LT) stress on photosynthetic properties and senescence characteristics of winter wheat leaves during the jointing stage, an environmental temperature control experiment was designed at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology in 2023, using Triticum aestivum L. cv. "Ji Mai 22" as the test material. Four different temperature levels were set: 18 °C/8 °C (daily maximum/daily minimum temperature; CK), 13 °C/3 °C, 10 °C/0 °C, and 7 °C/3 °C. The duration of each treatment was 2, 4, and 6 days, respectively. The experimental findings reveal that the changes in physiological parameters of winter wheat leaves under low-temperature stress treatments are nonlinear. Under the 3 °C LT treatment, the photosynthetic parameters and endogenous hormone levels of wheat leaves significantly decrease after 6 days of stress. Under the 0 °C LT treatment, the photosynthetic parameters, leaf pigment content, and endogenous hormones of wheat decrease significantly, while under the −3 °C LT treatment, all the parameters of winter wheat leaves show a significant decline. Generally, the "Ji Mai22" wheat cultivar has a lower growth temperature limit of −3 °C during the jointing stage. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Impacts can degrade the strength of composite structures; thus, impact damages should be monitored and repaired. In this study, a novel composite consisting of carbon nanotube film and glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic was thermoformed. The fabricated smart composite demonstrated self-sensing and self-healing capabilities for damage caused by low-energy impacts. Elastic deformation of the composite caused by a 0.5-J impact was monitored from the immediate change in resistance of approximately 0.25 Ω. Internal damage such as tears and debonding was detected in real time by monitoring the permanent resistance variation of approximately 0.4 Ω using a Wheatstone bridge with a 3-J impact on the smart composite. This difference occurs because a 3-J impact discontinues the conductive path of the carbon nanotubes and changes the total resistance of the smart composite. The internal damage caused by a 3-J impact was repaired through the Joule heat effect when 0.7 MPa and 55 V were applied to heat the composite to 330°C. A three-point bending test demonstrated that the self-healing efficiency of the smart composite reached 87% in terms of flexural strength. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
