Abstract

Through the research on the mechanism of iron ore sintering process, we used Fluent software to simulate the sintering process and establish a mathematical model of heat and mass transfer; moreover, we used the sintering cup experiment to verify the reliability of the model. The experimental results showed the following: when adding biomass fuel, the thickness of the material layer with the temperature higher than 1573 K decreased slightly; meanwhile, the thickness of the material layer with the temperature higher than 1723 K decreased drastically. Comparison of the emission content of SO2 in conventional sintering and sintering with biomass fuel showed that sintering with biomass fuel could reduce SO2 content in sintering flue gas. Considering sinter properties and SO2 emission reduction effect, sintering material that was added 30% biomass fuel to replace coke breeze could ensure the ore-forming process, and could realise the environment-friendly production.

Abstract

A study was conducted to analyze NADH conformation bound to inosine 5'-monophosphate dehydrogenase using transferred nuclear overhauser effect spectroscopy. An Indigo II Silicon Graphics computer was utilized to analyze nuclear magnetic resonance data while the adenosine and dihydronicottinamide riboside moieties of NADH were analyzed separately. Results showed that the glycosidic conformations of nitoinamide-ribose and adenosine moieties are anti.

Abstract

Based on the heat balance principle, and by using thermodynamic software FactSage6.4 simulation software, the study analyzed the impact of the ratio of iron tailings on the thermodynamic parameters of slag system, and explored the blast furnace slag and iron tailings and the change rule of heat transfer between the blast furnace slag and iron tailings and the influence law of the ratio of iron tailings on the temperature and concurrent heating quantity of the slag system; the study further adopted the least squares method, multiple regression analysis method to establish the mathematical model of the temperature drop ΔT and concurrent heating quantity of the slag system; Based on the above research, the study constructed the coordinated control chart of the ratio of iron tailings, the temperature of slag fluidity, and concurrent heating quantity so that the law of concurrent heating of the slag system by taking the iron tailings as conditioning agent was obtained.

Abstract

Relationships between cadmium uptake characteristics and photosynthetic physiology of rice were studied by using Xiangzaoxian 45 and Luliangyou 996 as materials under four cultivation modes: conventional water raised seedling(T1), nursery seedling(T2), dryland raised seedling(T3), direct seeding(T4). The results showed that different cultivation modes had significant effect on the yield of two culti-vars. The cadmium content of different organs followed the sequence of root>stem>leaf>grain. The cadmium uptaked by rice were mainly dis-tributed in the stem, which accounted for 41.53%-54.67% of the gross number, the grain just occupied 4.92%-14.36%. The absorptive ca-pacity of cadmium of direct seeding mode was stronger than the other three modes, and the cadmium content of each organ was higher than the other three cultivation modes significantly. Certain relevance exsisted between photosynthetic physiological characteristics and the cad-mium content, accumulation of each rice organ. There were significant correlation between cadmium content of grain absorbed and transpira-tion rate. The correlation coefficient was r=0.684(P=0.029).

71. A novel MPP-NSGA algorithm and its application in optimization for radiated noises in the aircraft cabin

Abstract

The paper used the AML method to compute transmission loss of aircraft panels and verifies correctness of the numerical simulation model by experimental test. Finally, this paper used an improved genetic algorithm to conduct a multi-objective optimization for the cabin noise. When the analyzed frequency is less than 250 Hz, transmission loss decreased rapidly with the increased analysis frequency, and decreased from the maximum 63.2 dB to 18.5 dB. Within 250 Hz-4000 Hz, the transmission loss gradually increased with the increased analysis frequency. At 250 Hz, the transmission loss had an obvious valley value. Sound radiation power was then computed based on boundary element method, and panel contribution analysis was conducted to find those panels which had an obvious impact on the cabin noise. Therefore, a multi-objective optimization was conducted on these panels and reinforced ribs. In order to further verify effectiveness of the MPP-NSGA method, it was compared with the traditional GA model and NSGA model. Optimization accuracy using MPP-NSGA model is increased, and optimization time is reduced. Through optimization with traditional GA method, the maximum sound power level decreased by 15.4 %, and the total sound power level decreased by 21.9 %. Through optimization with the NSGA method, the maximum sound power level decreased by 21.7 %, and the total sound power level decreased by 29.0 %. Through optimization with the MPP-NSGA method, the maximum sound power level decreased by 46.3 %, and the total sound power level decreased by 36.0 %. Therefore, compared with other two kinds of genetic algorithms, the MPP-NSGA method is obviously superior in noise optimization in the cabin. In the whole analysis frequency band, noise of the optimized cabin panel at each frequency point was smaller than that of the original structure, fully verifying feasibility of the optimization algorithm proposed in the paper. Abstract

The influence of air pressure on mechanical effect of laser plasma shock wave in a vacuum chamber produced by a Nd:YAG laser has been studied. The laser pulses with pulse width of 10ns and pulse energy of about 320mJ at 1.06μm wavelength is focused on the aluminium target mounted on a ballistic pendulum, and the air pressure in the chamber changes from 2.8 × 103 to 1.01 × 105Pa. The experimental results show that the impulse coupling coefficient changes as the air pressure and the distance of the target from focus change. The mechanical effects of the plasma shock wave on the target are analysed at different distances from focus and the air pressure.

85. Effect of content of Al2O3 and MgO on crystallization of blast furnace slag during fiber formation.

Abstract

The simulation of blast furnace slag was prepared by pure chemical reagents. Test methods like DSC, XRD and SEM were used to study the effect of Al2O3 and MgO content on crystallization of blast furnace slag during fiber formation. The results show that as Al2O3 and MgO contents in the sample changed, blast furnace slag was crystallized at the average temperature below 1232 K. When the ratio of Mg/Al in the samples is 0.6 calculated by Kissinger equation, crystallization activation energy is at the maximum value and the system is in the most stable condition. The sample crystallization phases are mainly calcium akermanite (2CaO·MgO·2SiO2) and gehlenite (2CaO·Al2O3·SiO2). Secondary crystallization phases are anorthite (CaAl2Si2O8), wollastonite minerals (WOLLA) and pyroxene minerals (cPyrA). Meanwhile, the principal crystallization phases of the samples are different types and have different contents, and the microstructures of the sample sections are different due to the difference between MgO/Al2O3 ratio. Abstract

Gas quenching steel slag (GQSS), which was prepared by gas quenching equipment under inert atmosphere, possessed some advantages for pollutants removal from wastewater. Static state experiment has been carried on to investigate Cr(VI) removal from wastewater by GQSS. The results indicated that initial pH value, solid-liquid ratio, Cr(VI) original concentration and dissolved oxygen in solution have significant influence on Cr(VI) removal percentage. Cr(VI) solution had better to be controlled in acidic condition because Cr(VI) reduction could be restrained in alkaline solution. On the other hand, the initial pH value could not much lower because precipitation of Cr(III) could be inhibited. To improve Cr(VI) removal percentage, the solid-liquid ratio should be controlled at 1:100. Under different original concentrations, Cr(VI) removal percentage was in the range of from 20% to 45% because the GQSS without any further treatment and modification.

Abstract

A series of Ce and/or Mn doped LiBaBO phosphors were synthesized by a conventional solid state reaction. The phase purity and luminescent properties of the obtained phosphors were investigated. The XRD patterns show that all of the obtained phosphors have the single phase similar to pure LiBaBO, suggesting that the Ce and Mn ions have doped into LiBaBO lattice and formed the solid solution. There is an obvious spectra-overlap between the emission spectrum of LiBaBO:Ce and the excitation spectrum of LiBaBO:Mn, which suggests the possible occurrence of energy transfer from Ce to Mn in LiBaBO host. The luminescent properties of LiBaBO:Ce/Mn confirm the energy transfer from Ce to Mn in LiBaBO host. Under the excitation at 345 nm, the emission spectra of LiBaBO:Ce/Mn consist of emission bands resulting from Ce and Mn. When the Ce concentration is fixed at 5 mol%, the emission intensity of Ce decreases gradually with the increasing Mn concentration, which is due to the higher and higher energy transfer efficiency from Ce to Mn. As a result, the tunable luminescence of LiBaBO:Ce/Mn can be obtained by changing the codoped Mn concentration. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
