55. Implementation and Evaluation of Spatial Attention Mechanism in Apricot Disease Detection Using Adaptive Sampling Latent Variable Network.

Abstract

In this study, an advanced method for apricot tree disease detection is proposed that integrates deep learning technologies with various data augmentation strategies to significantly enhance the accuracy and efficiency of disease detection. A comprehensive framework based on the adaptive sampling latent variable network (ASLVN) and the spatial state attention mechanism was developed with the aim of enhancing the model's capability to capture characteristics of apricot tree diseases while ensuring its applicability on edge devices through model lightweighting techniques. Experimental results demonstrated significant improvements in precision, recall, accuracy, and mean average precision (mAP). Specifically, precision was 0.92 , recall was 0.89 , accuracy was 0.90 , and mAP was 0.91 , surpassing traditional models such as YOLOv5, YOLOv8, RetinaNet, EfficientDet, and DEtection TRansformer (DETR). Furthermore, through ablation studies, the critical roles of ASLVN and the spatial state attention mechanism in enhancing detection performance were validated. These experiments not only showcased the contributions of each component for improving model performance but also highlighted the method's capability to address the challenges of apricot tree disease detection in complex environments. Eight types of apricot tree diseases were detected, including Powdery Mildew and Brown Rot, representing a technological breakthrough. 82. Recent progress in nickel single-atom catalysts for the electroreduction of CO2to CO

Abstract

The electrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) is considered an effective strategy for mitigating the energy crisis and the greenhouse effect. Nickel is widely used in single-atom catalysts (SACs) owing to its special electronic structure. In this minireview, the basic principles of Ni SACs in the electrocatalytic reduction of CO2to CO are first described. Subsequently, Ni SACs are divided into three categories depending on different strategies used to improve properties. The synthesis, morphology, performance and theoretical calculations of the catalysts are also described. Finally, an overview of the existing challenges and perspectives of Ni SACs for CO2reduction is presented.Keywords: CO2reduction; Electrocatalysis; Nickel single-atom catalysts.

Abstract

Carbon dioxide, as an abundant and nontoxic C1 resource, can be extensively applied to produce C1 building blocks via direct and indirect routes. On account of the stable electronic structure and high activation energy of CO2, the most challenging problem of CO2 conversion is the rational design of low‐cost and efficient catalysts with attractive performance. Single‐atom catalysts (SACs) with atomically dispersed metal atoms, strong metal–support interaction, and tunable/unsaturated coordination environment offer a potential choice by achieving maximum atomic utilization and lowering the CO2 activation barrier. Furthermore, the geometric and electronic structure of SACs can be easily regulated by tuning the coordination environment of single atoms, which significantly affects their catalytic performance. In this review, therefore, a comprehensive review of thermocatalytic CO2 conversion to C1 chemicals over SACs is presented. Specifically, the physiochemical and electronic properties, synthesis methods, and characterization technologies are introduced. Thereafter, an overview of catalytic performance and mechanism of SACs is described during thermocatalytic CO2 conversion to C1 chemicals. Finally, the main limitations of current studies on CO2 conversion to C1 chemicals over SACs are summarized, and simultaneouslyperspectives on the future are proposed, in order to provide a guidance for decarbonizing the industries and cycling greenhouse gases. 89. Nostalgia, Risky Decision-Making, and the Reward Positivity

Abstract

Given that nostalgia increases approach motivation (Sedikides & Wildschut, 2020; Stephan et al., 2014) and approach motivation facilitates risky decision making (Kim & Lee, 2011; Leota, 2020; Li et al., 2019), we hypothesized that nostalgia should increase risky decision making. To date, only one article has tested this hypothesis. In a pair of studies Zou and colleagues (2019) found that induced nostalgia (vs. control) increased risk taking on behavioral (i.e., the Balloon Analogue Risk Task Study 1) and self-report measures of risk-taking (i.e., the Domain-Specific Risk-Taking Scale; Study 2) (Zou et al., 2019). However, they did not assess approach motivation and considered its potential mediating role. In the current research, we seek to explore the mediating role of approach motivation in the impacts of nostalgia on risky decision making. We would conduct an ERP study and use approach-related neural activity or the Reward Positivity (RewP) as the index of approach motivation.

98. The Study of World Cultural and Natural Heritage Mount Wuyi

Abstract

Mount Wuyi was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1999 under criteria (iii), (vi), (vii) and (x). The original nomination included only the southern, albeit larger, side of the Wuyi mountain ecosystem. The World Heritage Outlook, undertaken by IUCN in 2014, concluded that there was a “great need for better coordination across the province divide and Mount Wuyi would be greatly strengthened if Jiangxi sectionscould be added.” As a result, the State Party sent the Minor Modification proposal, which was evaluated, amended, and approved during the 41st session of the World Heritage Committee. At this time, ICOMOS suggested to study further and address the concerns concerning the identification and addition of components to the cultural values. This paper details the cultural and natural heritage values of the property and their linkages as well as the management system. In addition, it provides an analysis and research of the cultural values mentioned in ICOMOS’s latest recommendation.
