The Paleogene-Neogene strata in the Western Depression of the Qaidam Basin represent a primary focus for oil and gas exploration and development. Influenced by both terrigenous clastic influx and endogenic carbonate deposition, these strata exhibit significant variation in sedimentary systems and reservoir characteristics. This study comprehensively examines the depositional patterns and reservoir properties of the Paleogene-Neogene sequence across the inner, middle, and outer belts of the basin, employing core analysis, thin section petrography, and physical property assessment of reservoirs. Key findings include 1) The development of a concentric sedimentary system in the Western Depression during the Paleogene-Neogene period, characterized by increased carbonate mineral content and decreased clastic material from the periphery to the center of the basin. 2) Varied sedimentary facies associations across different zones, with the outer belt dominated by fan delta and braided river delta deposits, and the middle and inner belts characterized by near- shore shallow lacustrine carbonates and algal mat deposits, and offshore semi-to deep-lacustrine fine sediments, respectively. 3) The outer belt exhibits reservoirs with favorable physical properties and connectivity, while the inner and middle belts show high heterogeneity, indicating potential for lithological traps and shale oil exploration. These insights offer scientific guidance for further investigation into the depositional systems of lacustrine basins in the Western Depression of the Qaidam Basin and for identifying promising reservoirs. In the knowledge economy, innovation is playing an increasingly important role in urban sustainable development. Thus, how to strengthen the construction of innovation spaces has become a significant issue. Based on data from high-tech enterprises in the central urban area of Harbin, this study analyzes the distribution, agglomeration characteristics, and influencing factors of urban innovation spaces. The influencing factor index system was constructed based on four aspects: innovation support, service facilities, the social environment, and the natural environment. After analyzing these influencing factors through comparing the results obtained with an ordinary least squares (OLS) model and a geographical weighted regression (GWR) model, the GWR model was determined to have a better fitting effect and was thus used for further analysis. The findings are as follows: (1) Five closely related clusters of innovation spaces are identified. Innovation space has a significant agglomerating distribution pattern. (2) Overall, factors supporting innovation and transportation station factors have a positive effect on the agglomeration of innovation spaces, while natural environment factors have a negative effect on small innovation areas. (3) By region, the aggregation of innovation spaces in downtown areas is slightly negatively affected by service facilities, whereas those in the Harbin New District are mainly supported by policies and those in the Pingfang District are positively affected by the quantity of the labor force. Finally, based on the research results, some suggestions are put forward to promote the development of urban innovation spaces. In practical applications, polishing of interior wall putty is a crucial process. However, existing standards and testing methods have more qualitative requirements for polishing performance indicators, and there is no specific grading method, which cannot effectively distinguish the differences in polishing performance indicators between different types of products. An attempt was made to establish a more objective quantitative testing and grading method for sandability through experiments, and based on this, general and water resistant putty were used as test samples for testing and evaluation. A two-stage cascade magnetic compression scheme based on field reversed configuration plasma is proposed. The temperature and density of plasma before and after magnetic compression are analyzed. In addition, the suppression of the two-fluid effect and the finite Larmor radius effect on the tilting mode and the rotating mode of major magnetic hydrodynamic instability is studied, and finally, the key physical and engineering parameters of the deuterium–deuterium fusion pulse device are introduced. Further analysis shows that the fusion neutrons can be produced at an energy flux of more than 2 MW/m2 per year, which meets the material testing requirements for the fusion demonstration reactor (DEMO). If the recovery of magnetic field energy is taken into account, net energy outputs may be achieved, indicating that the scheme has a potential application prospect as a deuterium–deuterium pulse fusion energy. Many urban areas in developing countries are experiencing dramatic growth in both population and economy, which highlights the need for optimizing service affordance by the government. Driven by this demand, this article proposes a new concept, namely the hierarchical service facility (HSF), for managing services with multiple levels of service range. The challenge is to strategically position HSFs to cover all residents of a subdistrict at every service range level with a minimum cost. To this end, this location determination issue was formulated into a hierarchical discrete unit disk cover (H-DUDC) problem. An algorithmic solution using a multi-layered greedy heuristic was developed to solve the H-DUDC problem, and its effectiveness was validated through a practical case study. The experimental results indicate that the HSF concept is an effective tool for optimizing service resource distribution and balancing the use of public services in different sub-zones of a residential area.
