Abstract

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a method for systematic analysis based on computer numerical calculation and image display. It is often used to analyze the flow mechanisms of gas-solid and gas-liquid two-phase flow in agricultural equipment. It is a new method for digital design of agricultural equipment, which has good application prospects. The commonly used calculation models of CFD in simulating agricultural materials and its application in agricultural equipment were summarized. Combined with the application of agricultural engineering, the future development trend of CFD was proposed on how to adapt to the future development needs of agricultural engineering. The results indicated that, due to the complex types of operation objects and easy damage of agricultural equipment, it was necessary to fully consider the physical characteristics of the operation objects and the relationship among components. The multidisciplinary coupling analysis, fine modeling and real-time prediction of high fidelity simulation would be the future development trend of CFD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The AP1000 reactor of China would overhaul for the first time. In order to achieve in-service decontamination of AP1000 primary loop equipment, three simulated corrosion oxides of the AP1000 reactor primary loop were prepared by sedimentation-calcination method, and ultrasonic chemical dissolution test was conducted. The analysis of the characteristics of the simulated oxide showed that the addition of zinc resulted in a different composition of the oxides from that of ordinary PWR, and that is smaller particle size and tighter bonding. Suitable decontaminants and decontamination processes were identified by the dissolution laws of the simulated oxides in the experiment.

73. Electrochemical performance of SnO2/C nanocomposites as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries.

Abstract

Carbon-coated SnO2 nanocomposites were synthesized successfully by the hydrothermal method and carbonization at 500 °C with glucose and SnCl2·2H2O as precursor materials. The SnO2/C nanocomposites were characterized by various techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), Raman spectra, and electrochemical analyses. It was demonstrated that SnO2/C-0, SnO2/C-5, SnO2/C-15, SnO2/C-30, and SnO2/C-50 had initial discharge capacities of 1359.2, 1626.8, 2124.9, 1525.8, and 1349.4 mAhg−1, respectively. In particular, the SnO2/C-15 sample exhibited excellent high reversible lithium storage capacity, good rate capability, and cycling stability. Abstract

Transition metal oxides Fe2O3 as lithium‐ion battery anode has aroused intense interest as a result of its high capacity (1007 mA h g−1). Nevertheless, the significant volume expansion during the cycling procession causes its capacity to decay sharply as the anode of lithium‐ion battery. The size and morphology of materials are important factors improving the stability of electrode materials. However, most of the excellent morphology design needs complex processes. The single‐crystalline erythrocyte‐like α‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles are synthesized by one‐step hydrothermal method to improve the electrochemical properties of the α‐Fe2O3 anode, and the Li+ storage kinetics of the erythrocyte‐like α‐Fe2O3 anode are investigated. As a lithium‐ion battery anode material, the erythrocyte‐like α‐Fe2O3 anode exhibits an eminent reversible capacity of 1200.2 mA h g−1 at 0.1 C after 100 cycles. In comparison to raw α‐Fe2O3, the erythrocyte‐like α‐Fe2O3 performs with a better rate property. The special morphological design can effectively improve the stability of α‐Fe2O3 electrode materials. 93. Support-based modulation strategies in single-atom catalysts for electrochemical CO2 reduction: graphene and conjugated macrocyclic complexes.

Abstract

The electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) is a promising method to decrease the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere and produce high value-added chemicals simultaneously. Catalysts play a central role in the CO2RR system, and can determine the conversion efficiency and product species. Single-atom catalysts (SACs), a new class of catalysts, have been extensively employed in the CO2RR due to their high activities, selectivity and maximum atom utilization efficiency. In this review, an overview of the recent progress of SACs for the CO2RR is provided with respect to two types of catalyst supports including graphene (Gr)-based nanomaterials and conjugated macrocycle (CM)-based complexes. Specifically, we focus on significant influencing factors on the activity and selectivity of the modeled catalysts, such as heteroatom doping, ligand effects and bimetals. Insights on the intrinsic connection between electronic structures and catalytic properties are summarized. Moreover, the stability and the dynamic structural change of SACs under operating conditions are also discussed. Finally, some challenges and perspectives are raised for the future development of efficient SACs based on Gr and CM supports. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Abundant geothermal springs occur along the Moxi fault located in western Sichuan Province (the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau), highlighted by geothermal water outflow with an unusually high temperature of 218 °C at 21.5 MPa from a 2010-m borehole in Laoyulin, Kangding. Earthquake activity occurs relatively more frequently in the region and is considered to be related to the strong hydrothermal activity. Geothermal waters hosted by a deep fault may provide evidence regarding the deep underground; their aqueous chemistry and isotopic information can indicate the mechanism of thermal springs. Cyclical variations of geothermal water outflows are thought to work under the effect of solid earth tides and can contribute to understanding conditions and processes in underground geo-environments. This paper studies the origin and variations of the geothermal spring group controlled by the Moxi fault and discusses conditions in the deep ground. Flow variation monitoring of a series of parameters was performed to study the geothermal responses to solid tides. Geothermal reservoir temperatures are evaluated with Na-K-Mg data. The abundant sulfite content, dissolved oxygen (DO) and oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) data are discussed to study the oxidation-reduction states. Strontium isotopes are used to trace the water source. The results demonstrate that geothermal water could flow quickly through the Moxi fault the depth of the geothermal reservoir influences the thermal reservoir temperature, where supercritical hot water is mixed with circulating groundwater and can reach 380 °C. To the southward along the fault, the circulation of geothermal waters becomes shallower, and the waters may have reacted with metamorphic rock to some extent. Our results provide a conceptual deep heat source model for geothermal flow and the reservoir characteristics of the Moxi fault and indicate that the faulting may well connect the deep heat source to shallower depths. The approach of hot spring variation research also has potential benefits for earthquake monitoring and prediction.

Abstract

A new pure rolling-type hole-forming machine for transplanting rapeseed has been developed in accordance with agricultural requirements. The motion of the pure rolling-type mechanism is analyzed to derive parametric equations for the hole-forming mechanism. Computer-aided design and MATLAB are then used to generate theoretical contours and outlines of the transplanting hole. Simulation analysis is conducted to obtain the contours of the transplanting hole, and the resulting structure and motion parameters are verified. Subsequently, a prototype is produced and field testing is performed. Experimental results indicate that, when the machine is in low gear, its forward speed is in the range 1.80–1.96 km/h, corresponding to an operational efficiency of 0.306–0.333 hm2/h. When tested in clay, loamy, and sandy soils, the average qualification rate of hole formation reaches 94.4%, 93.3%, and 90.4%, respectively. These results confirm that the transplanting hole-forming machine developed in this study satisfies the design requirements, representing a significant advance in the provision of technical support for new transplanter designs.

Abstract

Perylene diimide (PDI) is one of the most intensively studied building blocks for the construction of non‐fullerene acceptors (NFAs). In this contribution, based on combination of the direct and indirect linkage manners of PDI units at the bay position, a propeller‐shaped PDI hexamer T‐DPDI was designed and synthesized. The singly bonded PDI dimer DPDI and the benzene ring cored PDI trimer TPDI were synthesized for comparison. The photovoltaic performances of these three PDI derivatives were investigated using the commercially available PTB7‐Th as electron donor. A best power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.58% was obtained for T‐DPDI based organic solar cells (OSCs), which is higher than those of DPDI and TPDI based ones. The superior photovoltaic performance of T‐DPDI can be ascribed to its stronger absorption and more favorable morphology. This study presents an interesting example of improving the photovoltaic performances of PDI based NFAs by hybridizing the direct and indirect linkage manners. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
