However, their clinical application is hindered by technical limitations related to MSC enrichment at the target sites.Methods: MSCs were labeled with magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs). We analyzed the effects of NP on cell proliferation, stem cell characteristics, and cytokine secretion. Furthermore, we induced NP-labeled MSC migration with an external magnetic field toward laser-induced skin wounds in rats and evaluated the associated anti-inflammatory effects.Results: Fe3O4 NP application did not adversely affect MSC characteristics. Moreover, Fe3O4 NP-labeled MSCs presented increased anti-inflammatory cytokine and chemokine production compared with unlabeled MSCs. Furthermore, MSCs accumulated at the injury site and magnetic targeting promoted NP-labeled MSC migration toward burn injury sites in vivo. On day 7 following MSC injection, reduced inflammation and promoted angiogenesis were observed in the magnetically targeted MSC group. In addition, anti-inflammatory factors were upregulated, whereas pro-inflammatory factors were downregulated within the magnetically targeted MSC group compared with those in the PBS group.Conclusion: This study demonstrates that magnetically targeted MSCs contribute to cell migration to the site of skin injury, improve anti-inflammatory effects and enhance angiogenesis compared with MSC injection alone. Carboxylation of two free N -heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) 1,3-dimesitylimidazol-2-yliden (IMes) and 1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene (IPr) with CO 2 led to two adducts [IMes:CO 2 ] and [IPr:CO 2 ], which were further reacted with TaCl 5 to afford the finial metal complexes [(IMes:CO 2 )TaCl 5 ] ( 1 ) and [(IPr:CO 2 ) 2 TaCl 3 ][TaCl 6 ] 2 ( 2 ), respectively. NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction proved that the carboxylate groups were retained in complexes 1 and 2 . Crystallography revealed that the metal centers in complexes 1 and 2 adopted the distorted octahedral and pentagonal bipyramidal geometries, respectively, in which complex 1 was constructed with one [IMes:CO 2 ] adducts, while complex 2 with two [IPr:CO 2 ] adducts. In addition, the catalytic properties of complexes 1 – 2 on the cycloaddition between CO 2 and propylene oxide to synthesize cyclic carbonate at the mild condition were investigated.

Ruddlesden-Popper two-dimensional (2D) organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites have been explored for multiple applications, benefitting from their structural tunability, superior stability and congenital quantum-well effects. Herein, two bilayer hybrid perovskite-type compounds with the general formula [A2Bn-1PbnI3n+1] (n is the number of layer) [(C5H8NS)2(MA)Pb2I7] (1) and [(C5H8NS)2(FA)Pb2I7] (2) (C5H8NS: 2-thiophenemethylamine, MA: methylamine, FA: formamidine) are reported. The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements revealed both compounds 1 and 2 exhibit reversible phase transitions above the room temperature, accompanied by dielectric anomalies near the Curie temperature (Tc). The variable-temperature X-ray single-crystal diffraction disclosed the phase transitions derive from the order-disorder transformation of organic cations 2-thiophenemethylamine, methylamine and formamidine. Furthermore, compounds 1 and 2 exhibited strong emission peaks at about 600 ​nm when under an excitation wavelength of 475 ​nm.

T helper 17 cells (Th17) constitute a distinct subset of helper T cells with a unique transcriptional profile (STAT3, RORγ, and RORα), cytokine production pattern (IL17 family), and requirement of specific cytokines for their differentiation (TGF-β, IL6, IL21, and IL23). Recent studies involving experimental animals and humans have shown that Th17/IL17 plays a crucial role in host defense against a variety of pathogens, including bacteria and viruses. The underlying mechanisms by which Th17 performs include dendritic cell (DC) regulation, neutrophil recruitment, Th1 modulation, and T regulatory cell (Treg) balance. In recent years, researchers have generated an accumulating wealth of evidence on the role of Th17/IL17 in protective immunity to intracellular bacterial pathogens, such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Chlamydia trachomatis, which are one of the most important pathogens that inflict significant socioeconomic burden across the globe. In this article, we reviewed the current literature on the functions and mechanisms by which Th17/IL17 responds to intracellular bacterial infections. A better understanding of Th17/IL17 immunity to pathogens would be crucial for developing effective prophylactics and therapeutics.
