The recyclable paper based on photochromic materials not only reduces the pollution in the paper manufacture process, but also reduces the pollution caused by the use of ink, which receives wide attention. In this paper, a series of phosphomolybdic acid–phosphotungstic acid/ZnO/polyvinylpyrrolidone (PMoA-PWA/ZnO/PVP) hybrid films, which had different ratio of PMoA/PWA, was prepared by the ultrasonic composite method. The results indicated that the hybrid film prepared when the ratio of PMoA to PWA was 3 had the best photochromic performance. In this system, ZnO was the photosensitizer, while PMoA/PWA was the chromophore. The photochromic mechanism of the PMoA-PWA/ZnO/PVP hybrid film was based on the photogenerated electron transfer mechanism. ZnO generated photoelectron under the excitation of visible light, then PMoA and PWA obtained the photoelectron and produced photoreduction reaction to generate heteropolyblue. The visible light photochromic paper was prepared by loaded PMoA-PWA/ZnO/PVP hybrid film (A3) on A4 paper. Application tests showed that the prepared paper had extremely stable, excellent and reversible visible light photochromic properties, whether it was printing patterns or words, and could replace ordinary paper to realize the reuse of paper.

Abstract Aims Due to its low incidence, poor prognosis, and high mortality in the acute phase, the long‐term prognosis of the left ventricular aneurysm (LVA) complicated by ventricular septal rupture (VSR) has received little attention. This study focus on the long‐term prognosis of patients with LVA complicated by relatively stable VSR. Methods and results Over a decade of retrospection, 68 patients with both LVA and VSR were compared with 136 patients with LVA alone after propensity score matching. Patients with both LVA and VSR were further divided into two groups depending on whether pre‐operative intra‐aortic balloon pump (IABP) was used (23 pre‐operative IABP vs. 45 non‐pre‐operative IABP). The primary endpoint was defined as major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events, a composite endpoint including mortality, myocardial infarction, revascularization, stroke, and heart failure. The nucleocapsid protein (NP) plays a crucial role in SARS-CoV-2 replication and is the most abundant structural protein with a long half-life. Despite its vital role in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) assembly and host inflammatory response, it remains an unexplored target for drug development. In this study, we identified a small-molecule compound (ciclopirox) that promotes NP degradation using an FDA-approved library and a drug-screening cell model. Ciclopirox significantly inhibited SARS-CoV-2 replication both in vitro and in vivo by inducing NP degradation. Ciclopirox induced abnormal NP aggregation through indirect interaction, leading to the formation of condensates with higher viscosity and lower mobility. These condensates were subsequently degraded via the autophagy-lysosomal pathway, ultimately resulting in a shortened NP half-life and reduced NP expression. Our results suggest that NP is a potential drug target, and that ciclopirox holds substantial promise for further development to combat SARS-CoV-2 replication.

Abstract As the global data strategy deepens and data elements accelerate integrating and flowing more rapidly, the demand for data security and privacy protection has become increasingly prominent. Confidential computing emerges as a crucial security technology to solve security and privacy problem, and it is also a hot subject of in contemporary security technologies. Leveraging collaborative security in both hardware and software, it builds a trusted execution environment to ensure confidentiality and integrity protection for data in use. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the development process of confidential computing, summarizing its current research status and issues, which focuses on the security requirements for data security and privacy protection. Furthermore, it deeply analyses the common technical features of confidential computing, and proposes a trusted confidential computing architecture based on collaborative hardware and software trust. Then, it elaborates on the research status and issues of confidential computing from four aspects: hardware security, architecture and key technologies, applications, and standards and evaluation. Finally, this paper provides a synthesis and outlook for the future development of confidential computing. In summary, confidential computing is currently in a rapidly developing stage and will play an important role in cyber security in the future.

Abstract Objectives Acute upper respiratory tract infections (AURTIs) are prevalent in the general population. However, studies on the association of short-term exposure to air pollution with the risk of hospital visits for AURTIs in adults are limited. This study aimed to explore the short-term exposure to air pollutants among Chinese adults living in Ningbo. Methods Quasi-Poisson time serious regressions with distributed lag non-linear models (DLNM) were applied to explore the association between ambient air pollution and AURTIs cases. Patients ≥ 18 years who visit three hospitals, being representative for urban, urban–rural junction and rural were included in this retrospective study. Results In total, 104,441 cases with AURTIs were enrolled in hospital during 2015–2019. The main results showed that particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than 2.5 μm (PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and nitrogen dioxide (SO2), were positively associated to hospital visits for AURTIs, except for nitrogen dioxide (O3), which was not statistically significant. The largest single-lag effect for PM2.5 at lag 8 days (RR = 1.02, 95%CI: 1.08–1.40), for NO2 at lag 13 days (RR = 1.03, 95%CI: 1.00–1.06) and for SO2 at lag 5 days (RR = 1.27, 95%CI: 1.08–1.48), respectively. In the stratified analysis, females, and young adults (18–60 years) were more vulnerable to PM2.5 and SO2 and the effect was greater in rural areas and urban–rural junction. Conclusions Exposure to ambient air pollution was significantly associated with hospital visits for AURTIs. This study provides epidemiological evidence for policymakers to control better air quality and establish an enhanced system of air pollution alerts.

A visible-light photochromic hybrid film was synthesized based on combining phosphomolybdic acid (PMoA) with the polythiophene (PTh) matrix. The microstructure and photochromic properties of the materials were analyzed through atomic force microscopy (AFM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and ultraviolet-visible spectra (UV-vis). According to FTIR spectra, the geometries of PMoA and PTh were well preserved in hybrid film and there exists a strong interaction at the interface of PMoA and PTh. The XPS spectra revealed the change in the chemical microenvironment and the reduction of Mo6+ atoms in the photoreduction reaction. Under visible light irradiation, the composite film changed from transparent to blue and deepened gradually, generating heteropoly blue. The hybrid film also shows reversibility in the presence of oxygen. The results indicated that the photochromic reaction was inconsistent with photoinduced electron transfer mechanism.

Foam cells play a pivotal role in the progression of atherosclerosis progression by triggering inflammation within arterial walls. They release inflammatory molecules that attract additional immune cells, leading to further macrophage recruitment and plaque development. In this study, we develop an osteopontin (OPN) antibody-conjugated niobium carbide (Nb2C-aOPN) MXenzyme designed to selectively target and mildly ablate foam cells while reducing inflammation in the plaque microenvironment. This approach utilizes photonic hyperthermia to decrease plaque size by enhancing cholesterol regulation through both passive cholesterol outflow and positive cholesterol efflux. Nb2C-aOPN MXenzyme exhibits multiple enzyme-mimicking properties, including catalase, superoxide dismutase, peroxidase and glutathione peroxidase, and acts as a scavenger for reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. The inhibition of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species synergizes with photothermal ablation to promote positive cholesterol efflux, leading to reduced macrophage recruitment and a shift in macrophage phenotype from M1 to M2. This integrative strategy on cholesterol regulation and anti-inflammation highlights the potential of multifunctional 2D MXenzyme-based nanomedicine in advancing atherosclerotic regression.

The significant demand of coal mine intelligence has put forward some higher requirements for the intelligent perception of underground mobile robots in coal mines, and the Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (VSLAM) is a key technology for the intelligent perception of coal mine robots. However, due to unstructured environmental features, weak textures, uneven illumination, and small space in underground coal mines, the existing methods that rely on heuristic thresholds for keyframe selection cannot meet the localization and mapping requirements of visual SLAM in underground coal mines. Therefore, a visual SLAM keyframe selection method with multiple constraints in underground coal mines was proposed, which achieves a real-time and robust pose estimation of mobile robot in coal mines and provides data for digital twin in coal mines. Firstly, the proposed method was constrained according to geometric structure, adaptive thresholding was used instead of static heuristic thresholding for keyframe selection to achieve the effectiveness and robustness of keyframe selection. Secondly, the distribution of effective feature points was homogenized by the balance of gravity principle to further ensure the stability of keyframe selection and the denseness and accuracy of created map points. Finally, the steering place was further constrained by using the heading angle threshold to reduce the impact of viewpoint abrupt change on the visual SLAM accuracy. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, an experimental analysis was conducted in indoor scenes and underground coal mines respectively using an independently designed mobile robot data acquisition platform. Then, the qualitative and quantitative evaluations were made from Absolute Trajectory Error (ATE) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). The results show that compared with the heuristic keyframe selection method, the proposed method improves the trajectories RMSE by 29% and 44% in the indoor scenes and the fully enclosed promenade environment, respectively. The proposed method also has a higher robustness, localization accuracy and globally consistent map building effect in underground coal mines.

Sequential extreme weather events (SEWEs), such as hurricanes and tropical storms occurring in succession, pose significant challenges to local energy (LE) and flexibility (LF) markets. Effective coordination of preventive, emergency, and restorative strategies can mitigate losses during these events, but designing optimal trading strategies for joint LE and LF markets remains complex. This paper introduces a novel trading method to address this challenge. First, a two-layer graph neural network (GNN) is employed to predict the probability distribution of system outages caused by SEWEs. Then, a joint LE and LF market transaction model is developed to optimize multi-stage trading and minimize overall losses throughout SEWEs. To address the uncertainty of SEWEs, a probability forecast-driven distributionally robust joint chance constraint (DRJCC) optimization method is proposed, which is efficiently solvable as a convex conic problem. Finally, case studies conducted on modified IEEE 141-bus and 300-bus systems validate the approach, showing reductions in load shedding and trading costs by up to 15.39% and 42.88%, respectively, compared to single-stage or two-stage strategies. Additionally, the two-layer GNN model achieves a root mean square error of 0.01, demonstrating high accuracy in predicting system outage statuses.

Renal pelvic cancer is relatively rare in clinical practice, and renal pelvic cancer characterized by renal infarction is even rarer. We here report a case of renal pelvic urothelial carcinoma with squamous metaplasia with renal infarction as the main imaging feature, and summarize the imaging manifestations of some rare renal pelvic carcinomas. Conclusion: The imaging features of renal pelvis cancer are diverse and often confused with some benign and malignant diseases, suggesting that extra caution should be exercised in the diagnosis and treatment of renal pelvis cancer.

To date, RNA-targeted chemical matter is under explored due to a lack of robust screening assays. In this study, we present a novel RNA-targeted small molecule screening approach using a specialized DNA-encoded library (DEL). Our findings reveal that the specialized DEL library, called “DEL Zipper”, can significantly reduce single-stranded DNA-RNA region interaction signals during various kinds of RNA selection. By performing the selection against both G-quadruplex, we have identified novel hits that interact with RNA targets and the results are validated through binding. This study demonstrates that the “DEL Zipper” method is a robust screening assay that has potential for discovering small molecule ligands for diverse RNA targets.

Protocatechuic acid (PCA), a naturally occurring polyphenol abundant in fruits, vegetables, and various plants, exhibits diverse biological activities. However, the mechanism of action of PCA in osteoporosis (OP) is unclear. This study aims to elucidate the anti-OP mechanisms of PCA through an integrated approach involving network pharmacology, virtual screening, and experimental validation. In this study, we found that PCA improved zebrafish skeletal development and promoted MC3T3-E1 cell proliferation, increasing ALP activity. In addition, PCA decreased the level of ROS and MDA, increased the level of SOD, GSH and NO, and mitigated the degree of oxidative stress. Concurrently, network pharmacological analysis indicated that PCA upregulated core target levels, activated the HIF-1 signaling pathway, ameliorated oxidative stress, and exerted an anti-OP effect by promoting bone formation. In conclusion, PCA may provide a new strategy in the prevention and treatment of OP.

Abstract As a structural protein of SARS‐CoV‐2, the envelope (E) protein not only plays a key role in the formation of viral particles, but also forms ion channels and has pathogenic functions, including triggering cell death and inflammatory responses. The stability of E proteins is controlled by the host ubiquitin‐proteasome system. By screening human deubiquitinases, it is found that ubiquitin‐specific protease 33 (USP33) can enhance the stability of E proteins depending on its deubiquitinase activity, thereby promoting viral replication. In the absence of USP33, E proteins are rapidly degraded, leading to a reduced viral load and inflammation. Using lipid nanoparticle (LNP) encapsulation of siUSP33 by adjusting the lipid components (ionizable cationic lipids), siUSP33 is successfully delivered to mouse lung tissues, rapidly reducing USP33 expression in the lungs and maintaining knockdown for at least 14 days, effectively suppressing viral replication and virulence. This method of delivery allows efficient targeting of the lungs and a response to acute infections without long‐term USP33 deficiency. This research, based on the deubiquitination mechanism of USP33 on the E protein, demonstrates that LNP‐mediated siRNA delivery targeting USP33 plays a role in antiviral and anti‐inflammatory responses, offering a novel strategy for the prevention and treatment of SARS‐CoV‐2.

Purpose To study epidemiology, complications, risk factors, clinical course and treatment patterns of diabetes, the Nanjing Diabetes Cohort (NDC) was established using anonymised electronic health records from 650 hospitals and primary care since 2020. This cohort provides valuable data for researchers and policy-makers focused on diabetes management and public health strategies.Participants Diabetes was defined as having inpatient or outpatient encounters with a diagnosis of diabetes International Classification of Diseases-9/10 codes, any use of insulin or oral hypoglycaemic drugs, or one encounter with haemoglobin A1C >4.8 mmol/mol or 6.5%. Patients with diabetes have been continuously enrolled on hospitals and primary care in Nanjing since 2020. Demographic, medications and comorbidities data were extracted from clinical notes, diagnostic codes, labs, prescriptions and vital signs among different types of diabetes.Findings to date The NDC consisted of 1 033 904 patients from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2022, the majority were male (50.62%) and from the Gulou district (30.79%). The clinical characteristics and medication usage of patients with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes and other diabetes were assessed. The prevalences of hypertension, ischemic heart disease, and cerebrovascular disease were 49.72%, 17.85% and 24.90%, respectively.Future plans NDC will annually enrol eligible patients and include socioeconomic data in future updates. The data of NDC are maintained by the Department of Medical Informatics at Nanjing Medical University.

BackgroundGravity-driven depositional processes play a pivotal role in shaping the geomorphology of subaqueous deltas worldwide, particularly by eroding the seafloor, leading to the formation of rugged submarine channels (SCs) and triggering various subaqueous geohazards. A comprehensive understanding of SCs is crucial for elucidating these depositional mechanisms and mitigating the risks associated with submarine geohazards. Although SCs in the Huanghe delta front have been previously identified, often described as seafloor gullies or subsurface “disturbed strata,” most studies have primarily concentrated on their engineering geological properties. However, there has been limited research on the scale, morphology, and development of these SCs, especially those that are buried within the stratigraphy.MethodsThis study integrates high-resolution sub-bottom data, sediment core analyses, and historical bathymetric data to investigate the morphology, distribution, and formation mechanisms of SCs in the Huanghe subaqueous delta.ResultsThe SCs, both buried and exposed, are widespread along the middle and upper delta front, predominantly located at or near the landward flank of sediment gravity flow (SGF) -related accumulations. The buried SCs are characterized by cut-and-fill structures with transparent to semi-transparent fills, indicating rapid infilling processes as SGF energy dissipates. These buried channels were preserved within different sets of delta front deposits formed during 1855–1964 CE, 1964–1976 CE, and 1976–2007 CE, with the latter two periods separated by a significant lobe-switching event in 1976 CE. This event, combined with prevailing southeastward sediment transport and erosional regimes, appears to have controlled the preservation of SCs along the delta front: SCs in the Diaokou Lobe's delta front (pre-1976) suffered significant erosion, leaving only one set of channel (erosional remnants) preserved, while the SCs in the Qingshuigou Lobe's delta front (post-1976) are characterized by well-preserved, multi-phase channels at different horizons. The cross-section morphology of the SCs reveal three primary types: symmetrical, asymmetrical, and composite, corresponding respectively to (1) idealized SGF incision, (2) uneven incision intensity on either side of the SCs, and (3) the merging of two or more symmetrical/asymmetrical SCs.ConclusionsWe describe in detail the morphology, distribution and development of SCs in the modern Huanghe subaqueous delta. These findings provide insights into the formation and distribution of SCs in other shallow marine settings, particularly in delta front areas, and potentially offer information for disaster prevention and engineering development in such regions.

IntroductionCancer patients have a heightened susceptibility to anxiety and depressive disorders, which significantly impact the effectiveness of cancer treatments and long-term quality of life. This study aimed to compare the efficacy of different antidepressants in cancer and non-cancer patients.MethodsA total of 610 patients diagnosed with depressive episodes and/or anxiety disorders were retrospectively included and divided into a cancer group and a non-cancer control group. Antidepressants used included escitalopram, duloxetine, sertraline, venlafaxine, and vortioxetine, combined with trazodone or not. The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Questionnaire-7 (GAD-7) scores were used to evaluate the efficacy after 4 weeks and 8 weeks of systematic antidepressants treatment.ResultsCompared to the non-cancer group, the cancer group had higher proportions of females, older individuals, and patients with poor sleep quality, while reporting fewer somatic symptoms at baseline (all p < 0.05). PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores in cancer patients treated with antidepressants were significantly lower than baseline at week 4 and week 8 (all p < 0.05). The sertraline group demonstrated significantly less improvement in GAD-7 scores at week 4 and in both GAD-7 and PHQ-9 scores at week 8 compared to the escitalopram group, while duloxetine, venlafaxine, and vortioxetine showed comparable efficacy to escitalopram. Antidepressants combined with trazodone showed significant improvement in PHQ-9 scores at week 4 compared to those without trazodone. The gynecological cancer group showed significantly more improvement in GAD-7 and PHQ-9 scores at week 4 and 8 compared to breast cancer patients.ConclusionAntidepressant treatment in cancer patients with anxiety and depression is as effective as in non-cancer patients. The efficacy of escitalopram is comparable to duloxetine, venlafaxine, and vortioxetine, all of which outperformed sertraline in cancer patients.

Abstract Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) benefit from the introduction of iron in the anode, as its multiple valence states and high electron‐catalytic activity led to improved power densities in MFCs. However, the effect of long‐term Fe3+ release into the electrolyte on the power density of MFCs is often overlooked. Herein, an anode consisting of a three‐dimensional iron foam uniformly coated by reduced graphene oxide (rGO/IF) with a suitable loading density (8 g/m2) and a large specific surface area (0.05 m2/g) for high‐density bacterial loading was prepared. The hybrid cells based on the rGO/IF anode exhibit a maximum power density of 5330 ± 76 mW/m2 contributed by MFCs and galvanic cells. The rGO/IF anode enables continuous Fe3+ release for high electron‐catalytic activity in the electrolyte during the discharging of the galvanic cells. As a result, the hybrid cells showed a power density of 2107 ± 64 mW/m2 after four cycles, facilitated through reversible conversion between Fe3+ and Fe2+ in the electrolyte to accelerate electron transfer efficiency. The results indicate that the rGO/IF anode can be used for designing and fabricating high‐power MFCs by optimizing the rate of release of Fe3+ in the electrolyte.

Ureteral metastasis of prostate cancer is extremely rare, with less than 50 cases at present. Kidney cancer with prostate cancer is also rare, and ureteral metastasis with prostate cancer is difficult to diagnose. Especially if there are no symptoms of hematuria, the ureteral mass should be clearly understood. Although there is no error in the diagnosis and treatment process in this case, there are still many points worth considering, such as whether unilateral nephroperectomy should be performed if there is no kidney cancerHere, we report a case of renal cancer complicated with prostate cancer and ureteral metastasis.

In this study, a ddPCR method for the detection of scale drop disease virus (SDDV) in yellowfin seabream (Acanthopagrus latus) was established based on Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR detection methods and principles. The reaction conditions were optimized, and the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and reproducibility were assessed. The results showed that threshold line position was determined to be 1900 by the ddPCR method; the optimum annealing temperature for SDDV detection by the ddPCR method was 60°C; the limit of detection was 1.4–1.7 copies/μL; the results of specific detection of other common viruses, except for SDDV specific amplification, were all negative; and the relative standard deviation (RSD) for the reproducibility validation was 0.77%. The samples of yellowfin seabream (Acanthopagrus latus) liver, spleen, kidney, heart, intestine, brain, blood, muscle, skin and ascites with three replicates, respectively, were tested using the ddPCR method, and the results were consistent with clinical findings. The ddPCR method established in this study has the advantages of high sensitivity, high specificity, good reproducibility and simple steps for the quantitative detection of SDDV, which could be used for the nucleic acid detection of clinical SDDV samples, and provided a new quantitative method for the diagnosis of yellowfin seabream SDDV in the early stage of pathogenesis.

Abstract Collaboration between cancer treatment and inflammation management has emerged as an integral facet of comprehensive cancer care. Nevertheless, the development of interventions concurrently targeting both inflammation and cancer has encountered significant challenges stemming from various external factors. Herein, a bioactive agent synthesized by genetically engineering melanin‐producing Bacillus thuringiensis (B. thuringiensis) bacteria, simultaneously achieves eco‐friendly photothermal agent and efficient reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS) scavenger benefits, perfectly tackling present toughies from inflammation to cancer therapies. The biologically derived melanin exhibits exceptional photothermal‐conversion performance, facilitating potent photonic hyperthermia that effectively eradicates tumor cells and tissues, thereby impeding tumor growth. Additionally, the RONS‐scavenging properties of melanin produced by B. thuringiensis bacteria contribute to inflammation reduction, augmenting the efficacy of photothermal tumor repression. This study presents a representative paradigm of genetic engineering in B. thuringiensis bacteria to produce functional agents tailored for diverse biomedical applications, encompassing inflammation and cancer therapy.

An analog PID controller-based galvanometer scanner is widely used by fractional laser medical equipment (FLME) to scan lasers across tissue surfaces, achieving the desired therapeutic effect. This type of driver, primarily composed of passive components and operational amplifiers, can only accept commands from the central controller of the FLME, with a simple hardware circuit-based fault diagnosis; thus, the safety of the FLME is compromised. To address these issues, the failure mechanisms of galvanometers and their impact on the safety of FLME are thoroughly analyzed first. Then, an adaptive limit protection method, a coil open circuit fault diagnosis, a communication timeout protection based on two handshakes, and a galvanometer control timeout protection are proposed, respectively, based on a digital driver platform, to supplement the deficiencies in the original fault diagnosis and protection system. This ensures the safety of the FLME. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategies is validated through experiments.

Choline acetyltransferase (ChAT)-positive neurons in neural stem cell (NSC) niches can evoke adult neurogenesis (AN) and restore impaired brain function after injury, such as acute ischemic stroke (AIS). However, the relevant mechanism by which ChAT+ neurons develop in NSC niches is poorly understood. Our RNA-seq analysis revealed that dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase 1 (DDAH1), a hydrolase for asymmetric NG,NG-dimethylarginine (ADMA), regulated genes responsible for the synthesis and transportation of acetylcholine (ACh) (Chat, Slc5a7 and Slc18a3) after stroke insult. The dual-luciferase reporter assay further suggested that DDAH1 controlled the activity of ChAT, possibly through hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α). KC7F2, an inhibitor of HIF-1α, abolished DDAH1-induced ChAT expression and suppressed neurogenesis. As expected, DDAH1 was clinically elevated in the blood of AIS patients and was positively correlated with AIS severity. By comparing the results among Ddah1 general knockout (KO) mice, transgenic (TG) mice and wild-type (WT) mice, we discovered that DDAH1 upregulated the proliferation and neural differentiation of NSCs in the subgranular zone (SGZ) under ischemic insult. As a result, DDAH1 may promote cognitive and motor function recovery against stroke impairment, while these neuroprotective effects are dramatically suppressed by NSC conditional knockout of Ddah1 in mice.

Abstract Background Several methods have been used for the treatment of pediatric distal femoral fractures, such as elastic stable intramedullary nail (ESIN), external fixator (EF) and plate osteosynthesis, but there has been no consensus about the optimal method. The purpose of this study was to compare the clinical outcome between EF and ESIN techniques used in metaphyseal-diaphyseal junction (MDJ) fractures of the pediatric distal femur. Methods We retrospectively analyzed operatively treated MDJ fractures of pediatric distal femur between January 2015 and January 2022. Patient charts were reviewed for demographics, injury and data of radiography. All of the patients were divided into EF and ESIN groups according to the operation techniques. Malalignment was defined as more than 5 degrees of angular deformity in either plane. Clinical outcomes were measured by Flynn scoring system. Results Thirty-eight patients were included in this study, among which, 23 were treated with EF, and 15 with ESIN. The mean follow-up time was 18 months (12-24 months). At the final follow-up, all of the fractures were healed. Although there were no statistical differences between the two groups in demographic data, length of stay, estimated blood loss (EBL), rate of open reduction, time to fracture healing and Flynn score, the EF was superior to ESIN in operative time, fluoroscopic exposure and time to partial weight-bearing. The EF group had a significantly higher rate of skin irritation, while the ESIN had a significantly higher rate of malalignment. Conclusion EF and ESIN are both effective methods in the treatment of MDJ fractures of the pediatric distal femur. ESIN is associated with lower rates of skin irritation. However, EF technique has the advantages of shorter operative time, reduced fluoroscopic exposure, and shorter time to partial weight-bearing, as well as lower incidence of malalignment. Abstract This article conducts a comprehensive study on the activation characteristics of faults in the mine and analyzes the distribution patterns of the original rock stress field. Through quantitative research and analysis, we determine the partitioning characteristics of tectonic stress in the mine field under the dual effects of fault activation and original rock stress. The study also reveals the significant impact of different fault activation characteristics and different tectonic stress partitions on the stability of roadway surrounding rock. Using the Mohr–Coulomb strength criterion as a foundation, we investigate the mechanisms of fault activation and establish a mathematical model for fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. This model enables us to determine the strength level of fault activation in coal seam 9 of the Limin coal mine and construct a geological structure model. It has realized the transformation of fault activation degree from qualitative evaluation to quantitative evaluation. The stress state analysis software is used to draw the division of tectonic stress dangerous areas under the synergistic effect of fault activation and original rock stress. We then analyze the impact on the stability of roadway surrounding rock in these different hazardous areas. Utilizing the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, we take into account the impact of faults on the distribution characteristics of stress fields and the stability of roadway surrounding rock. This approach enables us to more accurately and comprehensively determine the hazardous areas of tectonic stress in the mine field under the dual effects of faults and original rock stress.

Abstract To study the characteristics of nasal airflow in the presence of nasal cycle by computational fluid dynamics. CT scan data of a healthy Chinese individual was used to construct a three-dimensional model of the nasal cavity to be used as simulation domain. A sinusoidal airflow velocity is set at the nasal cavity entrance to reproduce the breathing pattern of a healthy human. There was a significant difference in the cross-sectional area between the two sides of the nasal cavity. Particularly, the decongested side is characterized by a larger cross-section area, and consequently, by a larger volume with respect to the congested side. The airflow velocity, pressure, and nasal resistance were higher on the congested narrow side. The temperature regulation ability on the congested narrow side was stronger than that on the decongested wider side. During the nasal cycle, there are differences in the nasal cavity function between the congested and decongested sides. Therefore, when evaluating the impact of various factors on nasal cavity function, the nasal cycle should be considered.

Highlights A composite thermal interface material with three-dimensional hybrid carbon network-reinforced polydimethylsiloxane was proposed. The cooperative regulation of thermal conductivity and mechanical properties was achieved by controlling the assembly process of micro-nano scale unit carbon materials. The orthotropic continuous carbon structure endowed the composites with in-plane and out-of-plane thermal conductivities of up to 113.61 and 24.37 W m−1 K−1, respectively. The excellent compressibility and adhesion properties cooperatively improved the effective thermal conductivity by more than an order of magnitude.

Abstract Introduction Recent studies have suggested a potential association between methotrexate use and an increased risk of dementia. However, the causal relationship between methotrexate and dementia remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the potential causal effect of methotrexate use on the risk of dementia using a two-sample Mendelian randomization (TSMR) approach. Methods We conducted a TSMR study using summary statistics from genome-wide association studies (GWAS) of methotrexate use and dementia. We obtained genetic instruments for methotrexate use from a large-scale GWAS meta-analysis and genetic instruments for dementia from a separate GWAS meta-analysis. We performed several statistical analyses, including inverse-variance weighted (IVW), weighted median (WM1), weighted mode (WM2), and MR-Egger regression methods, to estimate the causal effect of methotrexate on dementia risk. Results Our TSMR analysis showed a significant positive association between genetic predisposition to methotrexate use and dementia risk. The IVW method estimated a causal odds ratio (OR) of 0.476 [95% confidence interval (CI) 0.362–0.626] per unit increase in the log odds ratio of methotrexate use. WM1, WM2, and MR-Egger methods provided consistent results. Conclusion The findings of this mendelian randomization (MR) study suggest a potential causal effect of methotrexate use on the risk of dementia. However, further research is needed to validate these findings and explore the underlying mechanisms. Since methotrexate is widely prescribed for various autoimmune diseases, a better understanding of its potential impact on dementia risk is crucial for optimizing treatment strategies and addressing potential adverse effects.

Abstract Background Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been proved to play crucial roles in the development of various cancers. However, the molecular mechanism of circGLIS3 involved in gastric cancer (GC) tumorigenesis has not been elucidated. Methods The higher expression level of circGLIS3 was identified in GC through RNA sequencing and subsequent tissue verification using Quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). A series of functional experiments in vitro and in vivo were performed to evaluated the effects of circGLIS3 on tumor growth and metastasis in GC. The interaction and regulation of circGLIS3/miR-1343-3p/PGK1 axis was confirmed by RNA pulldown, western blot, and rescue experiments. RIP and western blot were performed to demonstrate the role of circGLIS3 in regulating phosphorylation of VIMENTIN. We then used qRT-PCR and co culture system to trace circGLIS3 transmission via exosomal communication and identify the effect of exosomal circGLIS3 on gastric cancer and macrophages. Finally, RIP experiments were used to determine that EIF4A3 regulates circGLIS3 expression. Results CircGLIS3(hsa_circ_0002874) was significantly upregulated in GC tissues and high circGLIS3 expression was associated with advanced TNM stage and lymph node metastasis in GC patients. We discovered that overexpression of circGLIS3 promoted GC cell proliferation, migration, invasion in vitro and in vivo, while suppression of circGLIS3 exhibited the opposite effect. Mechanistically, circGLIS3 could sponge miR-1343-3p and up-regulate the expression of PGK1 to promote GC tumorigenesis. We also found that circGLIS3 reduced the phosphorylation of VIMENTIN at ser 83 site by binding with VIMENTIN. Moreover, it was proven that exosomal circGLIS3 could promote gastric cancer metastasis and the M2 type polarization of macrophages. In the final step, the mechanism of EIF4A3 regulating the generation of circGLIS3 was determined. Conclusion Our findings demonstrate that circGLIS3 promotes GC progression through sponging miR-1343-3p and regulating VIMENTIN phosphorylation. CircGLIS3 is a potential therapeutic target for GC patients.

Abstract Background Prenatal diagnosis of Berry syndrome, a rare combination of cardiac anomalies including aortopulmonary window (APW), aortic origin of the right pulmonary artery (RPA), interrupted aortic arch (IAA), hypoplastic aortic arch, or coarctation of the aorta (COA), poses a significant challenge. Due to the rarity of the disease, and the limited case reports available to features the complex malformation of Berry syndrome postpartum, this article introduces an innovative approach to visually showcase this unusual disease. The proposed method provides a comprehensive display of the structural deformities, offering valuable insights for clinical practitioners seeking to comprehend this condition. Case presentation In this report, we present a case where fetal echocardiography aided in diagnosing Berry syndrome, which was later confirmed through postpartum cardiovascular casting. Our experience highlights the importance of using the three-vessel view to diagnose APW and aortic origin of the right pulmonary artery. Additionally, obtaining true cross-sectional and sagittal views by continuously scanning from the three-vessel-trachea view to the long-axis view of the aortic arch is necessary to image IAA or coarctation of the aortic arch. Conclusions Early and accurate prenatal diagnosis of Berry syndrome is feasible and our cardiovascular cast can perfectly display the microvascular morphology of the fetal heart, which may have great application prospects for postpartum diagnosis and teaching of complex cardiac abnormalities.

Abstract Facile and efficient photocatalysts using sunlight, as well as fast and sensitive surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) substrates, are urgently needed for practical degradation of tetracycline (TC). To meet these requirements, a new paradigm for PI/TiO2/Ag organic‒inorganic ternary flexible microfibers based on semiconducting titanium dioxide (TiO2), the noble metal silver (Ag) and the conjugated polymer polyimide (PI) was developed by engineering a simple method. Under sunlight, the photocatalytic characteristics of the PI/TiO2/Ag flexible microfibers containing varying amounts of Ag quantum dots (QDs) were evaluated with photocatalytic degradation of TC in aqueous solution. The results demonstrated that the amount of Ag affected the photocatalytic activity. Among the tested samples, PI/TiO2/Ag-0.07 (93.1%) exhibited a higher photocatalytic degradation rate than PI/TiO2 (25.7%), PI/TiO2/Ag-0.05 (77.7%), and PI/TiO2/Ag-0.09 (63.3%). This observation and evaluation conducted in the present work strongly indicated a charge transfer mechanism. Moreover, the PI/TiO2/Ag-0.07 flexible microfibers exhibited highly sensitive SERS detection, as demonstrated by the observation of the Raman peaks for TC even at an extremely low concentration of 10–10 moles per liter. The excellent photocatalytic performance and SERS detection capability of the PI/TiO2/Ag flexible microfibers arose from the Schottky barrier formed between Ag and TiO2 and also from the outstanding plasmonic resonance and visible light absorptivity of Ag, along with immobilization by the PI. The successful synthesis of PI/TiO2/Ag flexible microfibers holds significant promise for sensitive detection and efficient photocatalytic degradation of antibiotics.

Heavy metal pollution in agricultural soils poses a serious threat to food security. Therefore, it is crucial to conduct risk assessments and issue early warnings about high levels of metal contamination for the sustained prosperity of agriculture. To assess the risks, identify the sources, quantify the amounts, and determine the extent of pollution from seven heavy metals, as well as to provide early warnings, 78 soil samples were collected from farmed lands in the Songnen Plain of Jilin Province. The average concentrations of Zn, Cu, Mn, Pb, Cd, Ni, and As were found to be 2.05, 1.5, 0.2, 1.09, 2.68, 1.53, and 1.17 times higher than the background values of Chinese soils, respectively. Source analysis indicated that toxic Pb originates from vehicle exhaust emission, while Cd, Cu, and Ni are attributed to industrial activities. Zn and As are likely associated with agricultural practices, and Mn predominantly stems from natural environmental sources. The geo-accumulation index suggests relatively high, accumulation levels for Zn, Cu, Mn, and Pb. Meanwhile, the single-factor pollution index indicates elevated pollution levels of Zn, Cu, and Cd. Potential ecological risk assessment reveals that certain areas within Changchun and Baicheng cities exhibit higher ecological risks. Notably, Cd has the highest potential ecological risk index (RI) of the seven heavy metals and warrants special attention. By analyzing annual pollutant accumulations, predictions can be made about the heavy metal content in four cities within the Songnen Plain, enabling the issuance of early warnings regarding soil heavy metal risks. The findings suggest that without proactive measures to mitigate heavy metal accumulation in soils, Changchun and Songyuan will reach severe pollution levels by 2031 and 2029, respectively.

This paper addresses the critical challenges of renewable energy integration and regional power balance in smart grids, which have become increasingly complex with the rapid growth of distributed energy resources. It proposes a novel three-layer scheduling framework with a dynamic peer-to-peer (P2P) trading mechanism to address these challenges. The framework incorporates a preliminary local supply–demand balance considering renewable energy, followed by an inter-regional P2P trading layer and, ultimately, flexible resource deployment for final balance adjustment. The proposed dynamic continuous P2P trading mechanism enables regions to autonomously switch roles between buyer and seller based on their internal energy status and preferences, facilitating efficient trading while protecting regional privacy. The model features an innovative price update mechanism that initially leverages historical trading data and dynamically adjusts prices to maximize trading success rates. To address the heterogeneity of regional resources and varying energy demands, the framework implements a flexible trading strategy that allows for differentiated transaction volumes and prices. The effectiveness of the proposed framework is validated through simulation experiments using k-means clustered typical daily data from four regions in Northeast China. The results demonstrate that the proposed approach successfully promotes renewable energy utilization, reduces the operational costs of flexible resources, and achieves an efficient inter-regional energy balance while maintaining regional autonomy and information privacy.

Chaos-based encryption is promising for safeguarding digital images. Nonetheless, existing chaos-based encryption algorithms still exhibit certain shortcomings. Given this, we propose a novel multi-channel image encryption algorithm that leverages pixel reorganization and hyperchaotic maps (MIEA-PRHM). Our MIEA-PRHM algorithm employs two hyperchaotic maps to jointly generate chaotic sequences, ensuring a larger key space and better randomness. During the encryption process, we first convert input images into two fused matrices through pixel reorganization. Then, we apply two rounds of scrambling and diffusion operations, coupled with one round of substitution operations, to the high 4-bit matrix. For the low 4-bit matrix, we conduct one round of substitution and diffusion operations. Extensive experiments and comparisons demonstrate that MIEA-PRHM outperforms many recent encryption algorithms in various aspects, especially in encryption efficiency.

LLC resonant converters have emerged as essential components in DC charging station modules, thanks to their outstanding performance attributes such as high power density, efficiency, and compact size. The stability of these converters is crucial for vehicle endurance and passenger experience, making reliability a top priority. However, malfunctions in the switching transistor or current sensor can hinder the converter’s ability to maintain a resonant state and stable output voltage, leading to a notable reduction in system efficiency and output capability. This article proposes a fault diagnosis strategy for LLC resonant converters utilizing a reduced-order interval sliding mode observer. Initially, an augmented generalized system for the LLC resonant converter is developed to convert current sensor faults into generalized state vectors. Next, the application of matrix transformations plays a critical role in decoupling open-circuit faults from the inverter system’s state and current sensor faults. To achieve accurate estimation of phase currents and detection of current sensor faults, a reduced-order interval sliding mode observer has been designed. Building upon the estimation results generated by this observer, a diagnostic algorithm featuring adaptive thresholds has been introduced. This innovative algorithm effectively differentiates between current sensor faults and open switch faults, enhancing fault detection accuracy. Furthermore, it is capable of localizing faulty power switches and estimating various types of current sensor faults, thereby providing valuable insights for maintenance and repair. The robustness and effectiveness of the proposed fault diagnosis algorithm have been validated through experimental results and comparisons with existing methods, confirming its practical applicability in real-world inverter systems.

In this paper, InSe nanosheets were synthesized by a ball milling method, and photoelectrochemical-type photodetectors (PEC PDs) based on the ball milling InSe (M-InSe) were fabricated using simulated seawater as the electrolyte. M-InSe nanosheets show good absorption in the visible region of 450–600 nm. The M-InSe PEC PDs display a good self-powered photoresponse under 525 nm irradiation, including a high responsivity of 0.8 mA/W, fast response time of 28/300 ms, and good stability. Furthermore, the InSe PEC PDs successfully demonstrated prototype application in wireless underwater optical communication and optical imaging. These results demonstrate that M-InSe holds good application prospects in underwater optoelectronic devices.

Abstract Photosynthesis, essential for life on earth, sustains diverse processes by providing nutrition in plants and microorganisms. Especially, photosynthesis is increasingly applied in disease treatments, but its efficacy is substantially limited by the well‐known low penetration depth of external light. Here, ultrasound‐mediated photosynthesis is reported for enhanced sonodynamic tumor therapy using organic sonoafterglow (ultrasound‐induced afterglow) nanoparticles combined with cyanobacteria, demonstrating the proof‐of‐concept sonosynthesis (sonoafterglow‐induced photosynthesis) in cancer therapy. Chlorin e6, a typical small‐molecule chlorine, is formulated into nanoparticles to stimulate cyanobacteria for sonosynthesis, which serves three roles, i.e., overcoming the tissue‐penetration limitations of external light sources, reducing hypoxia, and acting as a sonosensitizer for in vivo tumor suppression. Furthermore, sonosynthetic oxygenation suppresses the expression of hypoxia‐inducible factor 1α, leading to reduced stability of downstream SLC7A11 mRNA, which results in glutathione depletion and inactivation of glutathione peroxidase 4, thereby inducing ferroptosis of cancer cells. This study not only broadens the scope of microbial nanomedicine but also offers a distinct direction for sonosynthesis.

Summary: Buildings worldwide, which represent the final piece to be addressed in the transition to carbon neutrality, require a multisectoral, comprehensive strategy for decarbonization. We provide an overview of the current global status and features of carbon emissions associated with buildings, then outline pathways and steps to achieving carbon neutrality by mid-century. By synergizing technical innovation, encompassing advanced building technologies and renewable energy solutions, with robust financial support mechanisms, we can expedite the widespread adoption of building electrification and energy system decarbonization. This integrated approach stands as the most practical and effective strategy for decarbonizing building operations. Vital measures for reducing embodied carbon include constraining the building stock growth, decarbonizing materials, and extending building lifetimes. We emphasize the importance of raising awareness of building carbon emissions among governments, residents, and other stakeholders. Understanding the challenges and the urgent need for action is crucial to achieving carbon neutrality in the building sector.

Musculoskeletal disorders, especially chronic muscle pain, have a significant impact on public health, affecting millions worldwide. This review examines recent advancements in the diagnosis and management of myofascial pain, with a focus on the refined application of trigger point theory. This theory now incorporates an intricate model that blends biomechanical and neurophysiological mechanisms, essential for understanding the initiation and persistence of pain, and necessitating targeted therapeutic interventions. Utilizing a methodical approach, this paper categorizes muscle pain into three types: Muscle Belly Pain, Origin-Insertion Pain, and Referred Pain, as delineated in the most recent edition of “Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction—The Trigger Point Manual.” Such classification enhances diagnostic precision and therapeutic effectiveness by establishing a specific treatment protocol for each type of pain. The paper discusses the implications of various treatments, such as dry needling and manual therapy, which are informed by empirically derived trigger point charts. These charts are instrumental in pinpointing the exact locations of pain sources and customizing treatment plans. Moreover, this review critically assesses the evolving nature of trigger point charts and champions a holistic approach to pain management. It underscores the necessity of integrating biomechanics, kinesiology, and compensatory mechanisms to provide a comprehensive understanding that allows practitioners to address not only symptomatic pain but also the root causes of musculoskeletal disorders, thereby enhancing long-term patient care outcomes in clinical environments.

Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites produced during the growth, storage, and transportation of crops contaminated by fungi and are physiologically toxic to humans and animals. Aflatoxin, zearalenone, deoxynivalenol, ochratoxin, patulin, and fumonisin are the most common mycotoxins and can cause liver and nervous system damage, immune system suppression, and produce carcinogenic effects in humans and animals that have consumed contaminated food. Physical, chemical, and biological methods are generally used to detoxify mycotoxins. Although physical methods, such as heat treatment, irradiation, and adsorption, are fast and simple, they have associated problems including incomplete detoxification, limited applicability, and cause changes in food characteristics (e.g., nutritive value, organoleptic properties, and palatability). Chemical detoxification methods, such as ammonification, ozonation, and peroxidation, pollute the environment and produce food safety risks. In contrast, bioenzymatic methods are advantageous as they achieve selective detoxification and are environmentally friendly and reusable; thus, these methods are the most promising options for the detoxification of mycotoxins. This paper reviews recent research progress on common mycotoxins and the enzymatic principles and mechanisms for their detoxification, analyzes the toxicity of the degradation products and describes the challenges faced by researchers in carrying out enzymatic detoxification. In addition, the application of enzymatic detoxification in food and feed is discussed and future directions for the development of enzymatic detoxification methods are proposed for future in-depth study of enzymatic detoxification methods.

BackgroundCholelithiasis or cholecystectomy may contribute to the development of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Barrett’s esophagus (BE), and esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC) through bile reflux; however, current observational studies yield inconsistent findings. Abstract BackgroundSexual transmission among men who have sex with men (MSM) has become the major HIV transmission route. However, limited research has been conducted to investigate the association between transactional sex (TS) and HIV incidence in China. ObjectiveThis study aims to investigate HIV incidence and distinguish sociodemographic and sexual behavioral risk factors associated with HIV incidence among MSM who engage in TS (MSM-TS) in China. MethodsWe conducted a prospective cohort study using a WeChat-based platform to evaluate HIV incidence among Chinese MSM, including MSM-TS in Ningbo, recruited from July 2019 until June 2022. At each visit, participants completed a questionnaire and scheduled an appointment for HIV counseling and testing on the WeChat-based platform before undergoing offline HIV tests. HIV incidence density was calculated as the number of HIV seroconversions divided by person-years (PYs) of follow-up, and univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression was conducted to identify factors associated with HIV incidence. ResultsA total of 932 participants contributed 630.9 PYs of follow-up, and 25 HIV seroconversions were observed during the study period, resulting in an estimated HIV incidence of 4.0 (95% CI 2.7-5.8) per 100 PYs. The HIV incidence among MSM-TS was 18.4 (95% CI 8.7-34.7) per 100 PYs, which was significantly higher than the incidence of 3.2 (95% CI 2.1-5.0) per 100 PYs among MSM who do not engage in TS. After adjusting for sociodemographic characteristics, factors associated with HIV acquisition were MSM-TS (adjusted hazard ratio [aHR] 3.93, 95% CI 1.29-11.93), having unprotected sex with men (aHR 10.35, 95% CI 2.25-47.69), and having multiple male sex partners (aHR 3.43, 95% CI 1.22-9.64) in the past 6 months. ConclusionsThis study found a high incidence of HIV among MSM-TS in Ningbo, China. The risk factors associated with HIV incidence include TS, having unprotected sex with men, and having multiple male sex partners. These findings emphasize the need for developing targeted interventions and providing comprehensive medical care, HIV testing, and preexposure prophylaxis for MSM, particularly those who engage in TS.

Abstract In the rate‐state friction law framework, the transition from velocity weakening (V‐W) to velocity strengthening (V‐S) behavior marks the base of the seismogenic crust. Here we investigate the role of fault slip displacement under hydrothermal conditions in controlling the V‐W to V‐S transition. We shear simulated gabbro gouges at slip velocities ranging from 16 nm/s (∼50 cm/year) to 10 μm/s (∼8 cm/day) under hydrothermal conditions (300–400°C temperature; 30 MPa pore fluid pressure). We observe that cumulative fault slip increases the critical velocity for the V‐W to V‐S transition. The transition is accompanied by localized to distributed deformation mode, the formation of smectite‐type clays and occurrence of intergranular mass transfer. Our results provide insights into understanding the deepening and shallowing of V‐W/V‐S boundary (lower limit of the seismogenic zone) following a mainshock. Besides strain rate effects, slip‐enhanced chemical alteration and grain size‐sensitive deformation may temporarily contribute to the shallowing process.

Fluorinated carbon (CFx) compounds have extensive applications in lithium primary battery cathodes owing to their high energy density. In this investigation, a novel CFx compound offering superior electrochemical properties was synthesized via a low-temperature fluorination process, utilizing Pluronic F127 as a template agent and microporous carbon spheres produced through soft template-assisted high-temperature carbonization and chemical activation as precursors, and by regulating the amount of soft template F127 added. The reduction in microsphere size, narrower particle size distribution, and introduction of defects contribute to augmenting the molar ratio of F to C (F/C) of CFx while preserving the electrochemical activity of C-F bonds. The specific capacity of fluorinated polymer-derived microporous carbon spheres (FPMCSs) with a high fluorination degree rivals that of commercial fluorinated graphite (FG). The microsphere morphology and microporous structure not only furnish abundant sites for fluorination reactions in electrode processes but also facilitate Li+ diffusion, ensuring ample rate capability. The synthesized FPMCSs exhibited a peak specific capacity of 1079 mAh g–1 and a maximum energy density of 2679 Wh kg–1 (substantially surpassing the 2180 Wh kg–1 of commercial FG). Hence, the prepared FPMCSs underscore the significance of selecting suitable carbonaceous materials and designing structures deliberately, showing promising potential for achieving high energy density in CFx cathodes in the future, employing readily available and cost-effective raw materials.

Injuries of the posterior root of the medial meniscus can be accompanied by damage to the anterior cruciate ligament or often occur independently in cases of degenerative meniscal injury in older individuals. Anchor suture repair can achieve favorable biomechanical effects and clinical outcomes. However, anchor placement is technically challenging and requires a posterior medial approach, which increases the risk of iatrogenic injury. To address these issues, we have utilized the reverse anchor technique to repair the posterior root of the medial meniscus. This technique offers advantages such as reduced surgical time, simplified operation, and reduced risk of the “bungee effect” and iatrogenic injury.

To investigate the effects of different aging times on the volatile flavor substances of rosy vinegar, headspace solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS), principal component analysis (PCA) and hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA) were used to investigate the physicochemical and volatile flavor components of fresh, one-year-old, three-year-old and ten-year-old samples. The results showed that the content of reducing sugars and amino acid nitrogen increased during aging, and promoted the flavor and color development of rosy vinegar. A total of 79 volatile flavor substances were detected in rosy vinegar by HS-SPME-GC-MS, among which most of the esters were degraded during aging, while the content of carbonyl compounds and pyrazines increased significantly during aging. 13 volatile compounds with odor activity value greater than 1 were calculated in rosy vinegar by odor threshold value, and the main odor-presenting compounds differed in different aging periods. Principal component and cluster analyses revealed significant separation among the rosy vinegar samples at different aging periods, indicated that the aging time has an important influence on the composition of volatile substances in rosy vinegar.

Aiming at the practical application of Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) in underwater combat, this paper proposes a battlefield ambush scene with UUV considering ocean current. Firstly, by establishing these mathematical models of ocean current environment, target movement, and sonar detection, the probability calculation methods of single UUV searching target and multiple UUV cooperatively searching target are given respectively. Then, based on the Hybrid Quantum-behaved Particle Swarm Optimization (HQPSO) algorithm, the path with the highest target search probability is found. Finally, through simulation calculations, the influence of different UUV parameters and target parameters on the target search probability is analyzed, and the minimum number of UUVs that need to be deployed to complete the ambush task is demonstrated, and the optimal search path scheme is obtained. The method proposed in this paper provides a theoretical basis for the practical application of UUV in the future combat.

Along with the development of 5G network and Internet of Things technologies, there has been an explosion in personalized healthcare systems. When the 5G and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is introduced into diabetes management architecture, it can increase the efficiency of existing systems and complications of diabetes can be handled more effectively by taking advantage of 5G. In this article, we propose a 5G-based Artificial Intelligence Diabetes Management architecture (AIDM), which can help physicians and patients to manage both acute complications and chronic complications. The AIDM contains five layers: the sensing layer, the transmission layer, the storage layer, the computing layer, and the application layer. We build a test bed for the transmission and application layers. Specifically, we apply a delay-aware RA optimization based on a double-queue model to improve access efficiency in smart hospital wards in the transmission layer. In application layer, we build a prediction model using a deep forest algorithm. Results on real-world data show that our AIDM can enhance the efficiency of diabetes management and improve the screening rate of diabetes as well.
