The current study explores the TikTok identities of Thai university teachers and how those identities impact their professional identity as teachers. Five English as a Foreign Language (EFL) university teachers in Thailand voluntarily participated in semi-structured individual interviews. Findings obtained using an exploratory-descriptive qualitative research design confirmed existing findings that teachers' identities are multifaceted. However, in the context of a digital teacher's identity, teachers displayed unique identities (e.g., expressive, relational, adaptive, and progressive) that also shaped their identity as teacher-educators. Such identities impact their professional teacher's identity, allowing them to project an authentic teacher-self, become caring and approachable teachers to their students and colleagues, forge genuine connections, and implement pedagogical innovations and practices. The findings also acknowledge the profound influence of TikTok on teachers' identities and professional practices. Furthermore, this study highlights the convergence of technology and social media platforms as influential in constructing a teacher's professional identity and promoting pedagogical advances. The findings offer a significant contribution, shedding light on the potential advantages of using TikTok within the teaching and learning process.

This study investigates the effectiveness of an integrated approach combining think-pair share and active learning management in enhancing non-credentialed teachers' assessment competency and compares their learning achievement in educational assessment across pre, post, and delayed examination phases. Utilizing a one-group experimental design, 29 participants were selected through cluster sampling. Instruments included an integrated think-pair-share and active learning management system, along with assessments evaluating participants' assessment knowledge, skills, and attributes. Data analysis involved mean scores, standard deviation, effectiveness index (E[subscript 1]/E[subscript 2]), One - way repeated measure ANOVA, and pairwise comparisons. Results indicate that the integrated learning management plan effectively facilitated teaching assessment competency to non-credentialed teachers at the graduate level, leading to the attainment of expected learning levels within the class. Additionally, it significantly enhanced participants' competency compared to their baseline levels, with sustained effectiveness demonstrated over time.

This research aims to: 1) Develop an effective Brain-Based Learning (BBL) plan combined with skill practice exercises for Grade 10 students, achieving a performance criterion of 70/70; 2) Compare the learning outcomes in elementary logic before and after implementing the BBL approach combined with skill practice exercises for Grade 10 students; 3) Study the satisfaction level of students towards the BBL approach combined with skill practice exercises for Grade 10 students. The sample group consisted of 39 students from Grade 10 room 4 in the first semester of the 2023 academic year, selected through purposive sampling. Research tools included a learning management plan, an achievement test, skill practice exercises, and a satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed using percentages, mean, standard deviation, and dependent samples t-test. The research found that: 1) The BBL-based learning management plan for elementary logic for Grade 10 students was effective, with performance levels of 95.69/81.28, exceeding the set criterion of 70/70; 2) The academic achievement of students who underwent the BBL-based learning in elementary logic for Grade 10 students significantly improved post-learning, at a 0.05 level of statistical significance; 3) Students were highly satisfied with the BBL-based learning approach combined with skill practice exercises in elementary logic for Grade 10 students, with a mean satisfaction score of 4.86.

Executive function skills are crucial for children in the 21st century, serving as indicators of their readiness for learning. Children with well-developed executive function skills can effectively accomplish various tasks, solve problems using diverse strategies, and collaborate with others happily. This research aims to: 1. Identify the necessity for fostering executive function skills among early childhood students in Nonthaburi Province. 2. Analyze the causes underlying the necessity to promote executive function skills in early childhood students. 3. Propose strategies to enhance executive function skills in early childhood students. The research consists of two phases. Phase 1 involves identifying the necessity for developing executive function skills among early childhood students, with a sample group comprising 12 volunteer kindergarten teachers randomly selected from 12 classrooms and 328 early childhood students aged 5 to 5 years 11 months (162 boys and 166 girls). The research instrument used is the MU.EF-101 assessment. Data analysis involves calculating the mean and standard deviation of T-scores for working memory, inhibitory control, and shift/cognitive flexibility. Phase 2 analyzes the causes of necessity and proposes strategies to promote executive function skills in early childhood students. The data sources for this phase are 12 teachers, and the research instruments include fishbone diagram recording forms and group discussion recording forms. Findings suggest that parental involvement is crucial in training children to perform tasks independently and in teaching children patience. Additionally, teachers should analyze children's behaviors to plan appropriate learning activities based on their context. Teachers must encourage children to think and make decisions independently, encourage when mistakes occur, and ensure the availability of suitable tools and toys that promote the development of executive function skills in early childhood students, which teachers or parents can conveniently utilize.

This research aims to develop a combining game-based learning with design thinking using block-based programming to enhance computational thinking and creative games for primary students and will be referred to as game-based learning from now on. The purpose of this research is to 1) develop a model for game-based learning, 2) develop the system for game-based learning, 3) evaluate students' computational thinking after implementing game-based learning, and 4) evaluate the creative games created by students after game-based learning is implemented. The research tools included 1) the model for the game-based learning, 2) the model-appropriate evaluation form, 3) the learning system evaluation form 4) the computational thinking evaluation form, and 5) the creative game evaluation form. The research results showed that 1) the evaluation results of the model are appropriate for teaching at the highest level ([X-bar] = 4.82, SD = 0.42) and could be used for experimental teaching, 2) The results of game-based learning system quality are at the highest level ([X-bar] = 4. 57, S.D. = 0. 50). The researcher implements a game-based learning model and system to teach a sample group of 24 students in grade 4, using a purposive sampling method. The results of the implementation could be summarized as follows: 1) the results of students' computational thinking evaluation after implementing the model and system are significantly higher than before at the .05 level. 2) evaluation results of creative games that students developed after implementing the model and system are at a high level ([X-bar] = 4.29, S.D. = 0.52).

This research aims to 1) develop an effective Active Learning plan combined with skill practice according to the 70/70 criterion, 2) study the learning achievement index through Active Learning combined with skill practice, and 3) investigate the satisfaction towards Active Learning combined with skill practice. The sample group consisted of 27 Grade 3 students from Muang Wapi Pathum School, during the first semester of the 2023 academic year, selected through purposive sampling. The research tools included 1) 10 Active Learning plans totaling 10 hours, 2) mathematics skill practice, 3) an achievement test consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions, and 4) a satisfaction questionnaire regarding Active Learning combined with skill practice, using a 5-point Likert scale with 13 items. The statistical analysis included mean, percentage, standard deviation, and effectiveness index. The research found that the Active Learning plan was effective with an efficiency of 81.00/82.20, which meets the predefined criterion of 70/70. The effectiveness index was 0.6828, indicating that students improved their learning by 68.28 percent. Overall satisfaction was at the highest level, with an average score of 4.54.

The study aims to achieve three primary objectives: (1) To identify essential components for developing an instructional package aimed at enhancing English proficiency among individuals working in the Thai music industry; (2) To design an instructional package specifically tailored to improve the English proficiency of personnel in the Thai music industry; and (3) To implement the developed instructional package and assess its effectiveness in advancing English proficiency among music industry personnel. Employing the principles in developing an ESP course, the study comprises three phases: need analysis, instructional package development, and implementation. The need analysis phase involved surveying 150 individuals employed in the Thai music industry using a structured questionnaire. The instructional package development phase enlisted the expertise of five experts to evaluate the instructional model. Finally, phase three involved administering a pre-posttest study with 30 music professionals. The results highlight the successful creation of an English instructional package based on communicative language teaching (CLT) principles, leading to significant enhancements in participants' English proficiency. The study's significance lies in its identification of English language development needs within the music profession and its provision of a practical methodology for designing specialized English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses tailored to the unique requirements of music professionals.

In Thailand, the traditional teaching approach used for English language classes has been to explicitly teach English grammar, but in recent years the strategy has begun to shift towards the implicit teaching of language via communicative techniques. Within academic circles, there has been minimal agreement on the suitability of approaches used. Today, the question of whether it is better to use an implicit or explicit approach remains open to debate. In this study, an explicit approach is used to teach English grammar to learners in the English Program at the Faculty of Education, Lampang Rajabhat University. These learners have experienced implicit teaching during their own learning of English grammar, but upon graduation will have to use explicit methods when they become teachers of English grammar themselves. Initially, it can be observed that their knowledge of English grammar is weak. Also, they may lack the pedagogical skills to teach English grammar explicitly. The target group in this study was 74 Year 1 students. This study involved multiple steps, namely content analysis, a pre-test, explicit English grammar tutoring, a post-test and data analysis. Test results were statistically analysed for percentages, means and standard deviations. Pre- and post-test scores revealed a difference of 360, or 12.16%, with the mean of 4.87 (SD = 9.96). It can be seen that English grammar learning skills of the target group can be developed by using the explicit teaching method and this can support pre-service English teachers to teach grammar more effectively.

The research objectives were (1) to study the factors affecting the development of hope of college freshman students in Guangxi International Business Vocational College. (2) to develop curriculum based on the happiness theory. (3) to compare the hopes of college freshman students before and after learning by curriculum based on the happiness theory. With a carefully selected sample of 35 students from the first-year Thai class at Guangxi International Business Vocational College, researchers conducted a thorough analysis of various factors affecting students' hope. A range of research tools was utilized, including (1) a questionnaire about the factors affecting the development of hope level. (2) interview form about influencing factors of hope level. (3) lesson plans. (4) the Hope Scale. (5) observation form about student behavior. (6) interview form about opinions on teaching. This study was conducted in 3 steps: (1) study the factors affecting the development of hope. (2) develop curriculum based on the happiness theory. (3) experiment and improvement of curriculum model. The results of the study showed that: (1) factors that affect the development of college students' hopes include personal factors and environmental factors. Personal factors are related to goals thinking, pathways thinking and agency thinking, and environmental factors include family, school, and society. (2) The curriculum based on happiness theory includes 6 elements: principle, goal, contents, and time, learning process, learning resource, and Evaluation. The learning process in the curriculum includes 4 processes: positive emotion, engagement, relationship, meaning, accomplishment, and present. (3) students' hope is improved after the implementation of the curriculum based on happiness theory. This change was statistically significant, especially at the level of 0.1.

This study examined the relationship of teachers' intercultural sensitivity to their in-class culturally responsive teaching. A total of 168 teachers with teaching experience in multicultural classrooms in northern Thailand answered a questionnaire with two psychological scales: the intercultural sensitivity scale and the culturally responsive teaching practice scale. To supplement quantitative findings, 19 teachers from the total number of participants were included in the semi-instructed interview. By conducting factor analysis, intercultural sensitivity perceived by teachers with multicultural facilitation experience in northern Thailand was extracted into three components: interaction engagement, interaction confidence, and respect for cultural differences. The results from structural equation modelling indicate that teachers' intercultural sensitivity significantly affects teachers' perceived culturally responsive teaching practices with the largest coefficient size. This study also discussed the associations between teachers' culturally responsive teaching practices and other significant background factors based on the local context, including school size, non-local student enrolment frequency, overseas travel experience, and the existence of intercultural colleagues.

Research on language attitudes towards Global Englishes in many contexts has focused on teachers and learners. However, limited research has paid attention to school directors even though they are in a vital position to make changes at the school. This study explored the school director's lived experiences, attitudes toward Global Englishes, and how their attitudes impact hiring foreign national teachers. Utilizing a narrative inquiry design, three school directors from different school sizes, levels, and types were interviewed multiple times per person to ensure data saturation. The findings showed that all school directors demonstrated standard language and native speakerism ideologies formed earlier in their schooling experiences, especially in English classes. Regardless of positive or negative English learning experiences, they developed an entrenched belief that English should be taught by 'native speakers.' Yet, the decision to hire foreign national teachers was not simply influenced by their lived experiences and attitudes toward Global Englishes. Instead, it was affected by the school budget, the level of students, and parents' expectations. Above all, one troubled concern materialized -- hiring someone who looked 'native.' Implications were discussed moving forward when considering implementing the Global Englishes paradigm.

This comparative case study explores the roles of reading-to-write and writing-only approaches on students' L2 writing skills. Six third-year English major students from a Thai university, with diverse proficiency levels, participated in the study. Data from students' writing samples, semi-structured interviews, and observations were analyzed through quantitative and qualitative methods. The two approaches contributed differently to enhancing students' English writing skills. The writing-only approach significantly improved grammatical accuracy, while the reading-to-write approach fostered the use of more complex grammar structures, particularly in argumentative writing. In terms of coherence and cohesion, both approaches proved equally productive. Language proficiency, learning styles, task demands, essay types, topic familiarity, and time limitations also impacted the utilization of each approach. These insights suggest a blended approach to teaching writing at the university level, integrating both reading and writing elements. However, the findings also underscore the importance of explicit instruction in grammar and reading to support students in developing robust writing skills.

The increasing popularity of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) in non-native English-speaking countries has generated a demand for concrete examples in the creation of CEFR-based tests that assess the four main English skills. In response, this research endeavors to provide insight into the development and validation of a CEFR-based test aimed at evaluating undergraduate students' English proficiency for placement tests and exit exams. The CEFR served as the framework for item development while Classical Test Theory informed the test evaluation process. A sample of 2,248 first-year students participated in Testing 1 and 3,655 first- and second-year students took part in Testing 2. The results of the analysis of the multiple-choice listening and reading tests indicated favorable levels of item difficulty and discrimination indices, as well as high reliability coefficients obtained from Cronbach's alpha, Kuder-Richardson, and split-half reliability. The correlation and regression analyses revealed close relationships between the subtests and between each subtest and the total score, supporting the test's criterion validity. The study also demonstrated significant predictive validity on TOEIC scores. The findings of this study offer implications for the development of university-level English proficiency tests that integrate CEFR levels and CTT analysis.

This research aimed to assess the impact of blended learning on the English reading comprehension abilities of second-year Thai vocational students. It also examined how these students perceived their satisfaction regarding their blended learning experience using the Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework. Thirty students enrolled in a Thai vocational college in the southern part of Thailand during the second semester of the Academic Year 2022-2023 participated in the study. These students attended a six-week blended learning (BL) program in which they took a one-group pretest and posttest experimental design. The BL program comprised nine lesson plans, English reading comprehension tests, and online satisfaction items. Data analysis involved paired sample t-tests, mean, and standard deviations. The findings revealed that the posttest scores for English reading comprehension were significantly higher than the pretest scores at a significance level of 0.05. Furthermore, students reported a high mean score of 4.73 (very satisfied) with their blended learning experience after their improved English reading comprehension tests. Implications were discussed, and recommendations were also offered.

The most important skill in modern education is critical thinking and its necessary elements are agencies and voices which are force, ability, or power to make decisions or changes. Despite numerous efforts to increase Thai students' critical thinking skills, their ability to construct social and academic arguments is still far too weak. In addition, while these efforts mainly focus on students' critical thinking skills, little attention has been given to other education stakeholders such as education, institutions, schools, and teachers which potentially provide room for teachers and students to be critical. In this study, we investigated the ideological indexation of education stakeholders in a series of Thai educational policies (TEPs) years 2016-2018 from the Ministry of Education, Thailand. In TEPs, we utilized the corpus linguistic frequency function to locate the possible stakeholders and applied the framework of syntactic corpus analysis for agency identification (FO-SCAAI) to lexically elicit their agencies and voices which are important elements in modern education. The findings revealed an understanding of the representation of varying degrees of education stakeholders' agencies in TEPs. The implications of this study will lead to the realization that education stakeholders lack agencies and voices. We hope that upon realizing their lack of agency, the involved parties will make changes by providing more agencies to education stakeholders through modern education in Thai education policies.

This study aims to 1) explore the listening challenges of high- and low-proficiency EFL accounting undergraduates, 2) compare listening challenges and listening strategies between high- and low-proficiency learners and 3) investigate the effectiveness of mobile-assisted language learning (MALL) in developing EFL-listening skills. The participants in this study consisted of 84 fourth-year accounting students from Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Chiang Mai, Thailand, who had enrolled in a course called English Listening and Speaking for Business Communication. They were divided into two groups depending on their ability levels (high and low proficiency), based on Kelley's 27% criterion-referenced measurement theory. Each group consisted of 23 participants. The research instruments included 1) a listening-comprehension test used for the pre-test and post-test to determine whether the participants had high or low proficiency and compare the effect of MALL, 2) a questionnaire on listening challenges and the utilisation of listening strategies, 3) a semi-structured interview and 4) a MALL activity plan. Data analysis included the calculation of means, standard deviations, percentages and t-tests. The findings revealed a statistically significant difference between the two groups regarding listening challenges; however, there was no statistically significant difference with regard to listening strategies. Concerning MALL, which was applied to both groups, a statistically significant difference was found in the post-test scores at 0.05. In other words, both high- and low-proficiency learners showed improved performance after the empowering strategies created with MALL.

Upon graduating, students are expected to have acquired soft skills to meet potential employers' expectations. Since employers today are competing for qualified graduates possessing relevant training and workplace competencies, ELT teachers should guide their learners towards obtaining both a comprehensive understanding of theoretical concepts and a range of interpersonal abilities. This study examined whether Thai teachers incorporate these soft skills in the classroom, which soft skill elements are prioritized and taught, and how the teachers implemented these elements in their EFL classrooms. Twenty ELT teachers from Rajamangala University of Technology in Thailand participated in an online survey and semi-structured interviews. Data was collected using a 4-point Likert-scale questionnaire, which revealed that the teachers reported that they integrated soft skills into the classroom, primarily in the domains of learning skills, literacy skills, and life skills. The three soft skills reported to be most utilized were communication skills, technology literacy, and collaboration and teamwork, which are all essential for improving English language proficiency. The findings suggest that ELT teachers identify and facilitate the acquisition of weaker supplementary skills, such as leadership, to equip students with the necessary skills to succeed.

The use of the metaverse in education has gained increasing attention as a potential supplement to traditional teaching methods. This study aimed to investigate the impact of experiential learning on students' intent to use metaverse learning platforms and to explore how the metaverse can support these approaches. The study included participants from three countries and used metaverse scenes, such as a restaurant or Hong Kong scene, to complete learning tasks and interact with Non-Player Characters (NPCs) to complete assessments over a semester. The results of a correlational analysis showed that pedagogical factors had a greater impact on students' intent to use the metaverse for educational purposes than technical factors, which was unexpected. However, the study also identified challenges in adapting content to match the needs and skills of students who may not be familiar with games, as well as using the metaverse for more advanced pedagogical approaches, due to limitations in integrating content. Based on the findings, recommendations for educators, designers, and researchers are provided to enhance the effectiveness of metaverse-based education. Overall, the results of this study suggest that the metaverse can be a valuable addition to traditional teaching methods. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to investigate the dynamics of leadership, management, and performance in the context of drug prevention within schools under local administrative organizations. The research pursues three main objectives: (1) to examine the key elements of leadership, management, and performance related to drug prevention in these educational institutions, (2) to analyze the direct, indirect, and combined influences of leadership on the management and performance of drug prevention efforts, and (3) to formulate policy recommendations for influential leadership development models tailored to enhance the management and performance of drug prevention initiatives. Quantitative data were collected from 400 personnel within educational institutes under the Sisaket Local Administrative Organization, utilizing stratified random sampling and a questionnaire with a high-reliability score of 0.978. Concurrently, qualitative insights were from 12 purposively selected educational institutes in the same administrative context through the focused group. The analytical toolkit included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, structural equation analysis, and content analysis. Key findings indicate the appropriateness of utilizing trait-based, behavior-based, and situational leadership alongside Principles of management to construct a comprehensive structural equation model. The performance emerges as primarily influenced by Principles of management, all statistically significant at 0.01 level. In terms of policy suggestions, the focus centers on fostering a knowledgeable and collaborative team, developing leadership skills through cooperation, and creating an organizational culture that supportslearning and development. Thisintegrated leadership development approach isthe picture to significantly impact the effective management and prevention of drug abuse in schools under local administrative organizations.

This study focused on investigating common writing errors made by a group of Thai students who participated in online collaborative writing using Google Docs, and understanding their satisfaction and attitudes on this writing approach. The participants consisted 32 Thai first-year English major students who were purposively selected from their Writing I course. The researcher collected and analyzed eight argumentative pieces of writing, identifying a total of 484 errors. The most frequently occurring error areas were incomplete sentences (15.75%), spelling mistakes (13.50%), and word choice issues (12.25%), with grammatical errors being the most prevalent (72%). Following grammatical errors were lexical (12%) and mechanical errors (4%). To gauge students' satisfactions and attitudes, a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews were employed. The findings revealed that the students were highly satisfied with online collaborative writing with an average satisfaction score of 3.50. Overall, the students exhibited a positive attitude towards online collaborative writing, finding it useful due to its flexibility in terms of allowing them to work from anywhere at any time and for its ability to boost their motivation. The study's findings provide valuable insights for English teaching professionals in Thailand to consider when instructing students in writing.

The objectives of this research were (1) to assess the suitability and feasibility of participatory approaches for the prevention and solution of drug problems of schools under Sisaket Provincial Administrative Organizations and (2) to create a consensus proposing a leadership development model that influences driving effectiveness, management and performance on drug prevention of schools under the local government organization. The informants were the study administrators and teachers who were responsible for prevention and correction drug problem of school, each group of 5 people, and the total of 10 people, obtained by purposive selection. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview. The interviews were conducted during January to March 2023. The research results showed that (1) Participatory approaches for the prevention and solution of drug problems of schools under the local administrative organizations in Sisaket Province of every created item had a suitability assessment at a level higher than the specified criteria and the possibility of implementing the guidelines; and (2) leadership development model that influences management and results of drug prevention operations in schools under the local government organization can be summarized in 5 issues: (1) raising awareness and education (2) developing communication skills (3) building trusted teams (4) being a good role model, and (5) self-reflection and assessment.

The present pandemic has presented seriously affected not only the daily life but also teaching and learning and it has been seen a long battle for educators including TESOL teachers in Thailand. Working in the field of TESOL, the author experiences the new changing environment where an actual classroom turns into a virtual classroom. All documents and teaching tools prepared (before the pandemic) have been changed into online documents. Undeniably, online teaching can be seen as demanding as teaching staff moving from a space in which they have years of experience to the unknown world of online, remote, and socially distanced teaching. This study aims to identify Thai TESOL staff's perception towards teaching and learning management affected by COVID-19. It The study revealed that the effectiveness of teaching in the changing context depends on the teachers' readiness to a new learning technology like online meeting, at the same time, they must be open-minded and concerned that they must adjust their role to fit properly in the context. Even though participants found the significant change in the use of teaching technology in an online environment, interestingly their teaching and learning management remained as it used to be in the normal (onsite) classroom. In addition, the study provides implications for those who would like to create positive learning environment in online situation.

The objectives of research were to develop the new normal administration model according to the principles of good governance for schools under the Office of Primary Educational Service Area in Sakon Nakhon Province. The findings were as follows: I) Components of new normal administration for schools, consisting of 8 components: 1) New Normal Administration Planning 2) New Normal Working Method 3) New Normal Learning Curriculum Administration 4) New Normal Learning Administration 5) New Normal Learning Evaluation 6) New Normal Learning Resource Administration 7) New Normal Collaboration, and 8) Safety. Overall, it is at the most suitable level--the possibility at a high level. II) The new normal administration model consists of 5 components: 1) principles 2) objectives 3) structure 4) administration process and 5) mechanism. As for the components of the administration process, there are 8 sub-components, namely 1) New Normal Learning Resource Administration 2) New Normal Learning Administration 3) New Normal Learning Curriculum Administration 4) New Normal Learning Evaluation 5) New Normal Cooperation 6) New Normal Working Methods 7) Safety, and 8) New Normal Administration Planning. Four external factors affect the administration, including: 1) economic 2) technology, 3) social, and 4) political. III) Every component of the model is suitability possibilities and usefulness is at the highest level. IV) The manual for using the model consists of 3 components: 1) an explanation, 2) an introduction that presents details about the background, importance, objectives, and expected benefits, and 3) details of the model with the results of suitability at the highest level.

Desirable characteristics of students in the New Normal Era in educational institutions are important mechanism that will bring success and enhance student learning quality. This independent study aims to (1) study the current and desirable conditions in developing desirable characteristics of students in the New Normal. (2) To assess the need to develop desirable characteristics of students in the New Normal. This study's sample consisted of 319 school administrators and teachers with the determination sample size using percentages selected by Stratified Random Sampling. The tools used in the study were (1) a questionnaire on current conditions in the development of desirable characteristics of students in the New Normal with the Index of item Congruence (IC) between 0.80 - 1.00, the discrimination between 0.46 - 0.73, and the reliability of 0.93; and (2) a questionnaire on the desirable conditions for the development of desirable characteristics of students in the New Normal of item Congruence (IC) between 0.80 - 1.00, the discrimination between 0.30 - 0.89, and the reliability of 0.94. The statistics employed in data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and the modified priority need assessment index (PNI[subscript Modified]). The results revealed that (1) The current condition in the development of the desirable characteristics of students in the New Normal era was at a high level and the overall desirable condition was at the highest level. (2) Necessary needs for the development of desirable characteristics of students in the New Normal. It was found that the aspects that were higher than the overall value were ordered in descending order of need. There are 2 aspects that are higher than the overall value, namely, the 4th aspect, creating innovation, equal to 0.385, and the 6th aspect, recognizing and appreciating oneself and others, equaling 0.363, respectively.

The architecture of the virtual learning community via metaverse, or VLC via metaverse, to promote digital teacher's competency is related to the application of the concepts of virtual learning community integrated with virtual reality technology to promote the competency of teachers in the digital age. This is also to equip these teachers with comprehensive digital competency in order that they can apply it in the instruction management in a more efficient manner. In addition, this competency is believed to encourage teachers to have a step-by-step thinking process and enable them to use information technology media more practically with more understanding and creativity. The objectives of this study are: (1) to synthesize the conceptual framework of the VLC via metaverse to promote digital teacher's competency, (2) to design the architecture of the VLC via metaverse to promote digital teacher's competency, and (3) to study the results of the design of the architecture of the VLC via metaverse to promote digital teacher's competency. The participants in this research are 7 experts from different institutions, all of whom are specialized in the design and development of instruction systems. The research tools include: (1) the architecture of the VLC via metaverse, and (2) the assessment form on the suitability of the architecture of the VLC via metaverse. The results of this research show that (1) the overall suitability of the design of the architecture of the VLC via metaverse (overall elements) is at the highest level (Mean = 4.71, SD. = 0.57), and (2) the overall suitability of the design of the architecture of the VLC via metaverse is at the highest level (Mean = 4.70, SD. = 0.52).

The objective of this study is twofold: 1) To examine the current situations, desired conditions, and requirements for participation in quality assurance efforts of small schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission; 2) To explore developmental guidelines for enhancing the quality assurance practices of these educational institutions. The research methodology involved: 1) surveying to assess the current situations, desired conditions, and essential requirements; and 2) investigating development guidelines embedded in the working processes of three schools with the best educational assurance practices. The sample groups included 385 persons who were school administrators and teachers. Research tools included a survey form, interview forms, and an assessment form, which was verified and approved by nine qualified individuals. Data analysis involved content validation and factor analysis. The statistics also indicated the correctness, appropriateness, feasibility, and utility of the information. The statistical techniques used in the research included basic statistics and the analysis of essential requirements. The findings of the study revealed the following: 1) The current situation of the participation in educational quality assurance efforts of the small schools was rated at a moderate level, with the highest level of the desired conditions. An area of the requirements that was rated with the highest score of development priority was active participation in quality assurance; 2) The developmental guidelines for quality assurance practices in educational institutions encompassed five domains with a total of 16 strategies. The experts' evaluation of these domains indicated a high level of accuracy, while appropriateness, feasibility, and utility were scored at the highest level.

Educational reform in the modern era which the school administrators and all personnel in the school Must improve and develop themselves to keep up with changes in the era of globalization. By using the supervisory management model process to develop educational quality, these research objectives are to: 1) Study the problems and elements of supervision. Target group: 15 people 2) Create a supervisory model. By conducting in-depth interviews with 15 people involved. 3) Experiment with the supervision model with a sample group of 3 schools. 4) Evaluate the use of the supervision model. By organizing a seminar with 15 experts and asking for opinions about its usefulness. Feasibility, appropriateness, and correctness of the format from 291 study supervisors. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Statistics were used to find the mean and standard deviation. It can be summarized as follows: 1) Problems in supervision include an insufficient number of supervisors. Study supervisors lack knowledge Lack of good supervision skills and no systematic planning. There are 5 important elements as follows: (1) objectives, (2) planning, (3) supervision, (4) monitoring and reflection, and (5) development and application. 2) Creating a model for supervision, including (1) objectives, (2) content of supervision, (3) process, (4) method, (5) supervisor and supervisor, (6) duration, (7) planning, (8) execution, (9) Evaluation, (10) teamwork, (11) network building, (12) knowledge management, (13) learning and quality development, (14) building morale, and (15) improving development. 3) The results of the trial use of the model had a reliability value of 0.80. Average comparison results in Knowledge before training and after training, tested with a t-test, and were found to be different. Statistically significant is at the 0.01 level. They were satisfied with the model. Overall, it is at the highest level ([x-bar] = 4.90, S.D. = 0.53) and the results of the overall evaluation of the use of the format are at the highest level ([x-bar] = 4.89) and overall satisfaction with the use of the format is at the highest level ([x-bar] = 4.63). 4) Model evaluation results are useful feasibility, suitability, and correctness. Overall, it is at the highest level ([x-bar] = 4.63, S.D. = 0.12).

This research aimed to create a smart training application innovation to develop Thai language reading skills for Thai grade 1 students, targeting an efficiency standard of 80/80. The study compared the reading abilities of Thai grade 1 students before and after using the application. These students were from the Network School of the Teacher Professional Experience Center, Faculty of Education, Loei Rajabhat University. Specifically, 13 students from Ban Na Si School were selected using purposive random sampling for the first semester of the academic year 2023. This school was intentionally selected due to its eagerness to implement this innovative approach. The study utilized two versions of the smart training application: one focused on words without tone marks and the other on consonant blend words. Four lesson plans were designed (two for each version), and a 20-question reading achievement test was administered. Through the E[subscript 1]/E[subscript 2] value calculation and a t-test, it was deduced that the application surpassed the 80/80 efficiency standard, scoring 81.15/86.15. Furthermore, students exhibited a significant improvement in their reading skills after using the application, as evidenced by a higher post-study performance at a 0.05 significance level.

The purposes of this research were to: 1) develop and determine the efficiency of instruction media in board games to enhance the capability in the Development of Thai Textbook and the happiness in learning for undergraduate students, 2) compare the undergraduate students' learning capability in the Development of Thai Textbook before and after learning instruction media in board game and 3) to study the level of happiness in learning the Development of Thai Textbook for undergraduate students towards learning instruction media in board game. The sample group in this research consisted of 27 third year-undergraduate students, majoring in Thai, at the Faculty of Humanities, Srinakharinwirot University. The data was collected by research and development. The data was analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, t-test dependent, and content analysis. The findings of this study were as follows: (1) The efficiency of the instruction media in board games was 84.81/83.83 which was higher than the specified criteria. (2) The average student's learning capability in the Development of Thai Textbook after learning the instruction media in board games was higher than before using instruction media in board games. (3) The undergraduate students had the highest mean level showing their pleasure in learning the Development of Thai Textbook towards learning instruction media in board game and effective for content analysis regarding the undergraduate students' learning logs from Reflective Journal, it was found that this instruction media in board game enhanced the capability in the Development of Thai Textbook and the happiness in learning abilities.

This research represents a creative exploration in the field of music (Practice as Research: PaR) with the objectives of 1) studying the use of a sampler from Isan instruments and instruments from various cultures to create musical compositions using music software, and 2) examining the appropriate contexts for using a sampler in creative musical works. The research findings reveal that 1) Isan folk music possesses unique characteristics in terms of sound quality and performance techniques, while other musical elements can be combined with it in a technologically driven creative process. This involves connecting the concepts and methods of both traditional and diverse cultural music to create unified compositions using technology, such as recording musical notes in standard notation, exporting them as MIDI files, and then importing them into audio recording software to refine the sounds for complete songs. 2) Regarding the appropriate contexts for using a sampler in creative music, three main contexts were identified: an Isan folk music composition context, a music education context, and a commercial or music business context. In summary, the process of using a sampler for creative music works can bridge the concepts of various cultural music and integrate them with technology. Furthermore, this process can be extended to enhance interdisciplinary learning and teaching methods, making it applicable in diverse contexts.

The objective of the research is to explore the consistency of specialized nursing competency models of nursing students. The participants in this research are 165 Year 4 nursing students at Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Chakriraj, Thailand. The data was collected using a questionnaire consisting of 45 questions, answered with the use of a 5-level scale. The questionnaire was evaluated by three experts, and the questionnaire's accuracy ratings ranged from 0.70 to 1.00. The internal reliability of the questionnaire was measured using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, resulting in values of 0.763 for educational excellence, 0.757 for socio-economic factors, 0.806 for lifestyle, and 0.814 for personal factors. The study's findings showed that competency. 1) Education throughout nursing student training. 2) The socio-economic context. 3) Habits pertinent to everyday existence. 4) Attitude towards the nursing profession. 5) GPAx represents the grade point average. 6) OSCE refers to the objective structured clinical examination. The confirmatory factor analysis of specialized nursing aptitude is consistent with the empirical data, Chi-Square = 14.226; df = 8; Relative Chi-Square = 1.778; p-value = 0.076; GFI = 0.974; NFI = 0.943; TLI = 0.951; CFI = 0.974; RMSEA = 0.069; RMR = 0.113. Each element has a standard element weight value of between 0.010 and 0.817, with a standardized weight value ranging from 0.010 to 0.817.

This research aimed to investigate effective approaches to teacher development as a meaningful form of professional development (PD). The objective was to assess the impact of teachers' learning as an approach to PD and to summarize best practices. The study involved teachers from two primary schools who participated in the Healthy School Empowerment Project, a four-year collaborative learning initiative designed to support educators in improving classroom instruction and enhancing school performance. The findings revealed the most effective approaches for professional development and enhancing teachers' learning include establishing the school as a professional learning community (PLC), implementing teacher-as-learner programs, providing coaching by master teachers, and fostering teacher networks.

The objectives of this mixed-method study were to develop strategies for sustainable leadership of school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Nakhon Phanom. There were 4 research methods: phase I) identify the components of sustainable leadership of school administrators by interviewing 5 experts and confirming factors by 5 experts, phase II) develop strategies for sustainable leadership in a focus group including 7 people, phase III) validate the appropriateness, feasibility and utility of sustainable leadership development by collected of data which comprised 84 school administrators using multi-stage random sampling, and phase IV) produce a user manual of strategies by 5 experts for validate the appropriateness of user manual. The findings were as follows: I) There were four main components in the sustainable leadership of school administrators, namely 1) depth 2) breadth 3) vision, and 4) media literacy. All of the components have appropriateness at the highest level and feasibility at the high. II) The strategies for the development of sustainable leadership of school administrators comprised a vision, 6 missions, 6 objectives, 7 strategies, 61 operational approaches, and 25 indicators. III) The appropriateness, feasibility, and utility of the strategies for the development of sustainable leadership of school administrators were at the highest level. IV) The user manual of the strategies for the development of sustainable leadership of school administrators obtained the overall appropriateness at the highest level.

This research focused on the mechanism of establishing citizen democratic networks to promote political participation in schools under the provincial administrative organization in Mahasarakham. This research aimed to 1) analyze the model of creating a civil-democratic network between universities and schools, and 2) study the process of promoting students' political participation in schools under the provincial administrative organization in Mahasarakham. The qualitative research methods were conducted by document study and then in-depth interviews with the participant observation method. Research instruments were 1) the related documents and research in a reliable database, and 2) four interview questions for each group and the participant observations form. Collected data were analyzed and categorized into critical issues and themes based on the literature. The participants comprised sixty-two interviewees and were divided into four groups: 1) Two representatives of the Office of Education, Religion and Culture of the provincial administrative organization; 2) Twenty school administrators under the provincial administrative organization; 3) Twenty teachers responsible for the civics course, and 4) Twenty high school students. The findings revealed: 1) The model for creating a civic network between universities and schools. There must be a central person in the management position with the authority to command leadership and technical communication between the school and the university. The creation of a network of citizens of democracy will be successful. 2) The process of creating the political participation of students in schools arose from the process of building democratic citizenship through school education and extra-curricular activities. Students can then apply that knowledge in daily life.

This research focuses on the survey and study of building architecture built in approximately 1932-1992, in Nakhon Nayok Province, Thailand with the three research objectives: (1) to study modern architecture buildings in Nakhon Nayok that reach the criteria of modern building value for conservation and lifelong learning, (2) to create a roster of modern buildings in Nakhon Nayok by studying the distinctive features of architecture and its historical, social, economic, educational, and other valuable significances; and (3) to create a valuable buildings database according to modern architecture criteria, to be uploaded to the micro-phishing system, and to publish modern architecture conservation database in digital and photographic files as the database of Nakhon Nayok. The main features of the buildings are consistent with the nature of modern architecture that shows the structure importance, and the use of technology of various materials which shows the advance construction technology in those days. The buildings are as simple as a box. They are useful, respond to the public, worth to society and culture, and contain of historical significance. From the survey and study in Nakhon Nayok, it was found that there were 43 buildings reaching the criteria of modern building value for conservation and were saved in the database in accordance with the micro-phishing model. The details of 43 modern buildings are presented in a digital file format and photo database of modern buildings in Nakhon Nayok to propagate the modern architecture conservation database as a lifelong learning resource for the benefit of interested people.

This research aimed to develop the training activities of the Jitsuksa process and promote the growth mindset of grade 9 students. The tools used in the study consisted of (1) 80 Jitsuksa training activity plans, (2) a mindset assessment form in a six-level ratio, ten items, and (3) an assessment form of growth mindset behavior. Statistics used for data analysis were mean percentage and standard deviation. The target group of this research is 18 students from grade 9 of a secondary school, which is collected by purposive sampling. The results showed that after using the Jitsuksa training activities, the scores for the change in the growth mindset by the mindset measure had the percentage scores of 55.55, 38.89, 49.07, 47.23, 51.85, 56.48, 52.77, 46.30, 62.04, and 56.49 in order of questions and the behavioral assessment questionnaire for the change in the growth mindset had the percentage scores of 61.11, 61.11, 44.44, 44.44, 66.67, 55.56, 55.56, 44.44, 58.82, and 66.67, respectively. As a result of the scores, developing the training activities of the Jitsuksa process to promote the growth mindset of grade 9 was successful.

In the English as a foreign language context of Thailand, students struggle to learn English, but scarcely use it in their daily lives. How a teacher lessens students' suffering caused by this unjust circumstance is worth examining. This study employs a betweener autoethnography as a method of inquiry to investigate my experiences as a Thai English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher who endeavored to bridge the gap between the English lessons and students' real lives in a Thai university context. I analyzed my personal narratives through the lens of reflexivity. The findings reveal three performance events that unfold from my lived experiences. These events include acknowledging students' home languages, adjusting the instructional materials to arouse students' interests, and glocalizing the English language teaching materials. I argue that I was cognizant of how Thai students' knowledge of English could be produced and valued through engagement with the local instead of perpetuating colonial linguistic and social practices. My personal stories also reveal the need to dismantle teaching English as an instrument of empire and disrupt western ideologies that have perpetuated the EFL pedagogy in Thailand.

Demonstrating higher-order thinking skills is crucial for thriving in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environment. In science education, inquiry-based learning has increasingly been recognized as a potent approach to stimulate students' higher-order thinking skills. While prior research has shown evidence of its positive impact on student achievement, no study has critically synthesized its effect on students' higher-order thinking skills in the context of science learning. Thus, this study conducted a meta-analysis following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol. The study extracted twenty-six (26) effect sizes from twenty (20) studies, involving 1,349 students exposed to both inquiry-based and conventional approaches. Using the Comprehensive Meta-analysis Software, effect size (Hedges g) was calculated to determine the magnitude of the effectiveness of inquiry-based approaches. The overall weighted effect size of g = 0.893 demonstrates that inquiry-based approaches have a significantly large and positive impact on students' higher-order thinking skills. Moderator analysis suggests that regardless of students' educational level, scientific discipline, or level of inquiry, the use of the inquiry-based approach in teaching scientific concepts maximizes students' higher-order thinking skills. Although various inquiry-based approaches were effective when combined with other instructional strategies for teaching scientific concepts, only a few studies integrated technology into the implementation of inquiry-based approaches in science. Given the positive findings of this meta-analysis, science teachers are further encouraged to adapt inquiry-based approaches to enhance their teaching practices and support students in strengthening their higher-order thinking skills.

This research is a systematic literature review study that aims to explore the evidence in publications that report on the types of misconceptions experienced by students in learning chemistry by providing types of students' chemical misconceptions based on levels and obtaining the correct formulation of misconceptions so that they can be used as a basis for overcoming them. The collected publications came from Scopus-indexed publications in journals, Conference Proceedings, Books, and Book Series from 2006 to 2021. Data analysis used was thematic analysis and data extraction and publication selection procedures using the PRISMA modification method, which consisted of four phases: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The linkages between all the literature with misconceptions were analyzed using VOSviewer software to visualize bibliometrics. There are four chemical materials with the most misconceptions experienced by students: chemical equilibrium with seven studies, covalent bonds with six studies, acid-base theory with five studies, and materials and their classifications with five studies. Countries actively researching misconceptions are the United States, Turkey, Taiwan, South Korea, Ireland, England, Colombia, Macedonia, India, Thailand, Slovakia, Indonesia, Spain, Malaysia, Finland, and Ukraine. The research findings provide an overview of chemical materials that students often experience misconceptions about and the types of misconceptions about these chemical materials. As a response to the status of English as an international language and lingua franca, the integration of local culture now becomes a new trend of teaching English, particularly in outer-circle countries. This review study is intended to give a better understanding of current practices of local culture integration in ELT and its impacts on learners' attitudes and engagement in Southeast Asia. The thematic approach was used to interpret the outcomes of the 25 selected articles. The results are reported in three synthesis statements, defining (1) the geographical spread of local cultural integration in the ELT in Southeast Asia, (2) the impact on learning attitudes and engagement, and (3) the practices of local cultural integration. By interpreting the results of the review, suggestions are made for teachers and researchers to pursue more diverse practices in integrating local culture since it offers a constructive attitude, high motivation, and good engagement in learning English.

This study aims to investigate environmentally responsible and sustainable development of 56 pre-service teachers which relevant to framework of sustainable development goals. The qualitative data were collected and analyzed by summarizing general perspectives. The 9 concepts were found and reported. The ways to sustain environments and education students to reach sustainable development can be done by reduce, reuse, recycle; conserve water; save energy; sustainable transportation; grow trees and keep open areas green; waste management; support eco-friendly products; reduce carbon footprint; and conserve biodiversity. These frameworks and perspectives should be incorporated in education and classroom in action.

This research aims to: 1) synthesize knowledge regarding environmental management through the cultural introduction to Tha Poetry by the indigenous Pga K'nyau people in Chiang Mai province; 2) develop a manual for the cultural restoration participatory learning process to promote environmental sustainability conservation of ethnic students in Chiang Mai province; and 3) study the satisfaction towards the manual for the cultural restoration participatory learning process to promote environmental sustainability conservation of ethnic students in Chiang Mai province. This research is a Participatory Action Research (PAR) study. The samples used in the research consist of 1) a knowledge-providing group on Tha poetry, comprising 5 local Pga K'nyau scholars; 2) a manual assessment group consisting of 5 Pga K'nyau environmental knowledge experts; and 3) a trial group for the learning process, comprising 30 Pga K'nyau ethnic student teachers. The tools used in the research include 1) unstructured interviews; 2) a manual quality assessment form for Tha poetry of Pga K'nyau to promote environmental conservation; and 3) a satisfaction questionnaire. The qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis, and the quantitative data were analyzed by finding the mean and standard deviation. The research found that: 1) The synthesis of knowledge concerning environmental management through the cultural introduction on Tha Poetry among the indigenous Pga K'nyau people in Chiang Mai province revealed that Tha serves as a poetic introduction reflecting the life and existence of the Pga K'nyau. "Tha" holds significance for everyone, acting as a medium for transmitting knowledge and wisdom. It is a poetic introduction that melds life, experiences, teachings, and memories from the older generation, being recited in every ceremony from weddings, pre-marital counseling, gender role socialization, New Year celebrations, guest receptions, blessings requests, illnesses, to funerals. The content of Tha thus encapsulates the relationships between individuals, between humans and nature, and between humans and supernatural forces. The Pga K'nyau people emphasize environmental conservation, believing that nature has local deities who protect and look after the area. Furthermore, there's a tradition of transmitting knowledge through Tha Poetry for environmental conservation to achieve sustainability. This document has been created to revive the knowledge embedded in the cultural introduction of Tha, a heritage of wisdom passed down through generations, for the training and education of descendants, delving deeply into the conservation of natural resources and the environment. This ensures that individuals studying this will gain understanding from the teachings of the Pga K'nyau community. Currently, the practice of reciting Tha Poetry has been diminished, necessitating adaptation and conservation to preserve Tha in the culture of the Pga K'nyau people. 2) The development of a manual for the cultural restoration participatory learning process on Tha Poetry to promote environmental sustainability conservation of ethnic students in Chiang Mai province revealed that the manual comprises the meaning of Tha, Tha poetry sections for promoting environmental conservation through synthesis, and activity sheets for learning Tha poetry to promote the environmental sustainability conservation. The manual has a highly appropriate learning standard level. 3) The study on satisfaction towards the manual for the cultural restoration participatory learning process on Tha Poetry to promote environmental sustainability conservation of ethnic students in Chiang Mai province found that the majority of the students expressed satisfaction towards the manual, indicating that it is clear and highly beneficial for learning, rating it from high to the highest level.

The increasing popularity of mobile dual-language learning applications (apps) in the education industry has led to a growing interest in investigating their effectiveness. However, there is a paucity of research investigating mobile apps specifically designed for speakers learning dual languages. Accordingly, this study utilised a qualitative research method to explore the perceptions and design of such apps for bilingual teaching and learning. A cohort of 30 in-service teachers participated in individual interviews, serving as the primary source of data collection and analysis. Thematic analysis was employed to identify patterns within the transcripts and detailed field notes. The results revealed nine themes and twenty-four subthemes related to mobile dual-language learning apps. These findings provide insights into the potential benefits and challenges of using mobile apps for language learning, as well as implications for the design of dual-language learning apps. The implications of this study extend beyond the education industry and have practical implications for language educators and app designers alike. The study contributes to the current body of knowledge in the field of education by shedding light on the effectiveness of mobile dual-language learning apps for bilingual teaching and learning.

The goals of this study are to investigate the teamwork abilities of early childhood prospective teachers and compare the teamwork abilities of early childhood prospective teachers who have learned through creative drama activities to a 75% criterion. The study is mixed method research of 54 third-year prospective teachers majoring in early childhood education at the faculty of home economic technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) who are enrolled in an English language course for preschool instructors. An assessment of teamwork abilities form and a reflection form on the collaborative process are among the tools for gathering data. Quantitative data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics such as the mean, standard deviation, and one-sample t-test. Content analysis was used to analyse qualitative data. The research findings revealed that early childhood education students' overall teamwork abilities were high, and teamwork abilities of early childhood prospective teachers who learned through creative drama activities were significantly higher than the criterion of 75% statistical significance at 0.01.

The objectives of this research were to: 1) develop a training course to enhance knowledge and understanding of COVID-19 and the management of education in the new normal era for student teachers, 2) study the effectiveness of the training course; 3) compare the knowledge and understanding of student teachers before and after the training; and 4) study the satisfaction of student teachers towards the training course. The research sample group consisted of 17 third-year student teachers who were studying in the Bachelor of Education program at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. The sample group was selected using a multi-stage random sampling method. The research tools used were: 1) a training course curriculum, 2) a knowledge and understanding assessment questionnaire, and 3) a satisfaction survey questionnaire. The statistical analysis used to analyze the data included mean, standard deviation, E1/E2 efficiency ratio calculation, and t-test for dependent samples. The research findings were as follows: 1) the training course effectively enhanced knowledge and understanding of COVID-19 and the management of education in the new normal era for student teachers, 2) the training course had an efficiency ratio (E1/E2) of 83.82/80.98, 3) the knowledge and understanding of student teachers significantly improved after the training, with statistical significance at the 0.05 level, and 4) student teachers' satisfaction with the training course was high.

The research aimed to investigate the critical reflection of nursing students at the Faculty of Nursing, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi during the 2021 academic year. A total of 169 students were selected as the specific purposive sample group who consented to provide data. The research used a questionnaire comprising personal information and the level of critical reflection analysis. The data was analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, one-way ANOVA, and LSD post hoc test. The findings revealed that nursing students had a high overall level of critical reflection (mean = 3.93). When examining specific aspects, it was found that their technical rationality, reflectivity, and critical reflection were also high (mean = 3.91, mean = 3.95, and mean = 3.92, respectively). This research highlights the nursing students' capability for critical reflection, which can contribute to the enhancement of their learning and development of analytical skills.

The outbreak of the global COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted educational institutions worldwide. This study aimed to examine how students constructed discourses about COVID-19 and related terms in their cause-and-effect essays. The sample consisted of 89 essays written by English majors at a large public university in Northern Thailand who completed the English Essay Writing course. This study employed Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) as the main theoretical framework in which texts were analyzed by using a combination of corpus and content analyses. The findings revealed that students did not explicitly provide a definition of the term "COVID-19" in their essays at the lexical level, but the implications were inferred based on content word selection. The discourses surrounding COVID-19 were classified into four main categories: economy, health, government, and education. In addition to the main discourses, the essays highlighted the concept of global citizenship, as students expressed their opinions about the government as citizens, calling for practical actions to address the challenges faced during the pandemic. In addition to describing these challenges, the essays also reflected a discourse of hope, implying positive psychological responses to the crisis.

This paper aimed to explore the impact of self-regulated learning strategies on English language abilities and knowledge of 421 final-year undergraduate students at a public university in Thailand. The instruments used in the present study were: (1) the 65-item Questionnaire of English Self-Regulated Learning Strategies (QESRLS), and (2) the English Exit Exam (EEE) comprising 80 multiple-choice items, namely, 20 items for the grammar part, 20 items for the reading part, 20 items for the writing part, and 20 items for the language function (speaking) part. Descriptive statistics of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation as well as inferential statistics of Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Indicators Multiple Causes (MIMIC) Model were utilized to analyze the data gained. The findings reveal the correlation between the participants' use of self-regulated learning strategies and the overall English language abilities and knowledge as well as the four aspects of them: grammar, reading, writing, and language function (speaking). Besides, the interpretation guessing strategies, the self-evaluation strategies, and the persistence strategies when faced with challenges were positively associated with the English language abilities and knowledge. The findings shed some light on the integration of self-regulated learning strategies into English language courses or curricula.

This study investigates EFL university lecturers' challenges when selecting resources to facilitate students' self-regulation. Using a mixed-method design with 89 participants from Thai universities in this research sheds light on lecturers' difficulties, such as time constraints and limited access to reliable resources. It underscores the importance of considering diverse perspectives and practical strategies, such as adapting existing materials and involving students in the selection process. Furthermore, it highlights the direct impact of material choices on students' self-regulation outcomes. The study provides strategies to enhance self-regulation among EFL university students and suggests improvements for resource selection procedures. Despite its limitations, this research contributes valuable insights and pedagogical recommendations. Future avenues of study may explore the influence of digital learning resources, teacher-student collaboration in material selection, and cross-cultural perspectives on self-regulation and material choice.

Gamification is one of the innovative teaching approaches implemented in English classrooms nowadays. However, using gamification to enhance reading engagement and reading comprehension in language classrooms at the university level has not been much explored. This present study investigated gamification's effects on enhancing reading engagement, reading comprehension, as well as perceptions of gamification among Thai EFL university students. The participants in the research were 70 first-year students selected randomly. A mixed-methods research design was adopted to examine the effects of gamification between control and experimental groups. The quantitative results collected by the pre-test, posttest, pre-survey, and post-survey showed that the experimental group significantly improved reading comprehension and higher reading engagement after the implementation of gamification, compared to the control group that studied traditionally. Furthermore, the participants in the experimental group reported positive perceptions towards gamification, such as promoting reading engagement and creating a fun learning environment. Therefore, this study supports an alternative and innovative way to shift a reading class from a teacher-centered approach to a student-centered approach through gamification.
